Reader’s Links for September 27, 2020

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. Across the river into the trees
I rode my horse and we were free
At last, at last into some air
So finally fresh we had escaped
    Dear Leader’s blooming Stalin state
“–Head to the hills!” the old man said, “…and ride until that horse drops dead, ’cause otherwise you never know…”
So north we went, we rode and rode
The late September light had turned
It’s funny just now when I think
How at some point in Autumn’s blink
The sunlight does this little trick
As if to light a match to life
The sky burns, then, a deeper blue
    And melancholy in the hue
    Blazes brightly up the leaves
The air so brisk and clean and wind
That picks me up I never tire
In these days now ever shorter
    Am I Autumn’s last vampire?
Feasting on the blood of colours
    Rising not to night
    But to life?

My horse and I we got in late
(Maniwaki isn’t great, it’s like a spit there up the road)
The natives sell their smokes tax-free
There’s that word now up again
Free until the dead end of this
    Winding trail my escape.

We looked around, this horse and I
    Only then to realize
That we could run but could not hide
    Dear Leader’s blooming Stalin state
So turned around we finally did
To head back home into the mix
    Of politics and dirty tricks
And standing firm for stuff that mattered
Across the river into the trees
Imagined me a place to be
    Where I could breath
    And be set free.

      • Thanks PC. I liked your remarks on Coughlin, too:

I want to thank you here, Perfect Child, for your take on Stephen Coughlin’s brief. I think your explanation deserves prominence because it rings so true to me. The sense of feminization that I sense has nothing to do with anything that is derogatory to women, but has everything to do with the colonization of every independent soul into a soulless worker drone. You put into words the “pheromones” speaking to my intuition about the ghost lurking.

Understanding the precondition to the formation of our garden collectivist–and to what Stephen Coughlin speaks of–is very interesting to this audience, I am sure. What wonderful, popping lightbulbs it would be to see, however, were the children of Allah and Mao to eat what you serve.

The technique for breaking in the stallion – is to control the herd and the nation. To force by imprisonment or death: what you can or cannot put into your mouths; Preferential Groups and hated Privileged Groups, Sexual Identities and loathed Cis-Genders. Defining what is Good and Evil, Heaven and Hell.

A submission to any single one of these kingdoms, removes your conscience to believe that someone has access to a Super Conscience that you will ever know, just promising a glimpse if you read all the books and receive their degrees of conformity, to understand. They made it complicated – this ever so simple – so the sociopaths and psychopaths beating them with it are unseen.

“Femaled” only refers to the Anti-Maled. It is not gender specific, but refers to the “my precious,” the ring that looked good in their own eyes, that has been with us since sex became a barter and not an exchange of love. Vanity and pride grew in the place of abandoned-truth to feed the insecurity.

A brain hemisphere removal of the ‘mansplaining’ voice that must not be heard, enables a True Authority that prevents Hate Crimes of counter-intuition, to build a better World and Peace, so no one wakes up. Therefore, teach of a loving, forgiving and patient g-d, to be “The Father,” is to introduce and return that spark of the father, into the neurons within you. This voice that will grow into the image of g-d from forgiving your own father for being femaled. To see the noble against the ugly. And then Rome attacked these freed-slaves until they worked it out to make Jesus into their own Mary Sue. A Jesus who never had to learn. And you will only meet him when you die to be your very own Super Hero.

Know the father, know the children. It’s there you know the devil’s children. You woke up from their matrix, and may want to go back and save some and step away from those who wish to imprison or kill you.

Because emotions are the only life they have left. These cannot dissipate or vanish. A femaled scorned, has no greater fury. For without emotions, there is no sense of life.

Therefore, be very wise in front of a muslim, Communist and any other Feminist Creation. The older women moulding their children into lust and rage.

Forgiveness does not exist in their core teachings. Theirs is cancel-culture. For if it did, it would make the kufar, capitalist and men each their equal, and raise the question: “so why is it that we all live in failed States and they don’t?” They would now seek to emulate the successful and not rob them.

The living-dead cannot get out of bed without anger to sustain them.

When you look at Nature, it always bears pods that create seeds, that create new life. When you lose sight of this and walk away from your children for a Nirvana, your seeds are not tended, left absent of any good soil, and invites the three chicken-hawks to fly in.

This first instinct – that every creature knows about protecting and nurturing their young – is vacant in women and men fed from Handouts. Pets, who let their owners enter.

And the evidence of these owners? Millennia of child rapes by people elevated above the common-person: royalty, teachers, Dear Leaders, priests, celebrities, preferential identities and so forth and will be for so on.

Nothing is above your g-d. Never bend the knee in abdication.

      • That wasn’t bad for a leftist, .however the Western Books, TV shows and Movies didn’t die a natural death, they were murdered by the left once they had control of the Entertainment and Publishing Industries. They tried to do the same for hard science and conservative slanted Science Fiction but a couple of people started their own publishing companies and the hard science and conservative slanted SF is doing good.

There are still western books published but they aren’t as good as the old ones and the protagonist is almost always some type of police officer instead of a working or drifting Cowboy fighting the evil he finds.

5 One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret,[a] the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.(B) 2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.(C)

4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”(D)

5 Simon answered, “Master,(E) we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything.(F) But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.(G) 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!”(H) 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken, 10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid;(I) from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him.(J)”

  4. India’s Security Force Foils Terrorist Infiltration From Pakistan Along J&K Line of Control (sputniknews, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://sputniknews.com/india/202009271080585021-indias-security-force-foils-terrorist-infiltration-from-pakistan-along-jk-line-of-control/

“Amid the frequent ceasefire violations, Indian security force officials have revealed that there has been a spurt of weapons being air-dropped from drones and drugs being smuggled by Pakistanis along the international border and Line of Control over the past few weeks.

Alert troops of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) have successfully foiled attempts to infiltrate the international border in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.

According to a BSF spokesman, their officers at Mangu Chak Border Outpost area of Ghagwal sector observed some suspicious movement of four or five possible terrorists on the night between 26 and 27 September.

“After seeing suspicious movement, our troops fired several rounds of small arms towards the Pakistan side,” a senior BSF official told Sputnik adding that Pakistan Rangers retaliated with 70 to 80 small arms fire.

The exchange of gunfire continued for about half an hour and the people who had been moving around suspiciously returned to the Pakistani side under cover of the firing.

Another BSF official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said no one was injured in the firing and revealed that a massive search operation was launched on Sunday morning to sanitise the area. “The search operation is on but no incriminating material has been recovered so far,” he added.

India’s security forces recently revealed that Pakistan’s spy agency Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has planned to flood India’s Jammu and Kashmir with weapons before winter to create unrest in the valley. Intelligence reports mooted that China had instructed Pakistan to do so.

The Indian security agencies have learnt that ISI has procured a huge number of Hexacopters from a Chinese firm associated with the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) on the pretext of protecting CPEC’s assets.

“ISI has analysed the rules of engagement followed by Indian Security forces that we do not fire when an intruder along the Line of Control is seen without a weapon. Therefore, their modus operandi is for terrorists to infiltrate the region without weapons with the weapons being sent separately by drone or other means. This has been instituted to reduce the risk of terrorists getting eliminated at the Line of Control itself,” an official of Indian Security Agency, requesting anonymity revealed.

As per the Government data, security agencies have recovered several EMEI type-97 NSR rifles manufactured by the Chinese business, Norinco. The same weapon is used by Chinese soldiers and these were recently given to the Pakistan Frontier Force as a part of CPEC.”

  5. Iran’s Rouhani Urges All Mideast Nations Hosting US Forces to Expel Them (sputniknews, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/202009271080586111-irans-rouhani-urges-all-mideast-nations-hosting-us-forces-to-expel-them/

“Washington beefed up its military presence near Iran earlier this month, deploying a carrier strike group to the Persian Gulf in a move one senior Iranian commander has called “theatrics.” At the same time, the US has been gradually paring down its permanent troop presence in Iraq amid constant attacks on its interests.

US forces in the Middle East undermine stability and security, and all regional nations where American troops are based should make a concerted effort to expel them, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has said.

“We have always made our position clear: We regard the presence of the US armed forces in the region, whether in Iraq, Afghanistan or the countries of the southern Persian Gulf area as detrimental to regional security and stability,” Rouhani said, speaking to Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein in Tehran on Saturday.

“It is up to every country where Americans are present to push for their expulsion from the region,” Rouhani added, praising the Iraqi parliament’s “positive step” in demanding for the complete withdrawal of US troops from the country in January.

Iraq’s parliament overwhelmingly supported a bill calling for the expulsion of US troops from the country in the wake of the assassination of a senior Iranian commander and a senior Baghdad-allied militia leader in the Iraqi capital in a US drone strike in January.

Emphasizing Iran’s support for Iraq’s sovereignty and unity, Rouhani said that Tehran has already provided substantive support to Baghdad in the fight against the Daesh (ISIS)* terrorists, which he called “the best example” of cooperation between the two countries.
“We have always stood by the Iraqi people and the country’s legitimate government,” he said.

The Islamic Republic provided extensive logistical, advisory and arms support to a 40 militia-strong Iraqi state-sponsored military unit collectively known as the Popular Mobilization Force (PMF) during the 2014-2017 military operation against Daesh. Quds Force Commander Qasem Soleimani, the Iranian general assassinated in the US drone strike in January, was among the Iranian commanders assisting in training and advising the PMF.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rouhani suggested that Iran and Iraq should continue to strengthen their cooperation politically, economically and culturally.

Hussein arrived in Tehran on Saturday for a two-day visit aimed at further improving relations and cooperation, including in border support, trade ties, transportation, and the implementation of previously signed agreements.

Washington began withdrawing its estimated 5,200 troops stationed in Iraq in March, transferring control of bases to Iraqi forces amid constant rocket attacks on the fortified positions where Coalition forces operate. On March 19, the Pentagon transferred the al-Qaim base in western Iraq to Baghdad. US forces left the Qayyarah Airfield West and K-1 air bases in northern Iraq the same month. In April, the coalition handed the Al-Taqaddum Air Base over to Iraqi forces. In August, US forces withdrew from Camp Taji outside Baghdad, and announced a cut in troop numbers from 5,200 3,500. Earlier this month, the military confirmed plans to pare down its presence to 3,000 personnel, with some 2,200 troops expected to leave before the end of September.

The Pentagon has claimed throughout that the accelerated withdrawal had nothing to do with the attacks on its interests. In May however, a Military Times story citing an inspector general report found that the threat of attack by ‘Iranian proxies’ was a factor in speeding up the Iraq withdrawal.

The Iraqi government has engaged in negotiations with Washington to accelerate the withdrawal, with Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi visiting Washington last month to discuss the matter.

On Sunday, AFP reported, citing unnamed officials, that US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo called Iraqi President Barham Saleh last week and threatened to close the US embassy in Baghdad amid the constant attacks on US forces in the country.

“The Americans aren’t just angry. They’re really, really, really angry,” an Iraqi official told the news agency. “The honeymoon is over,” another reportedly said.”

“Although the tanks can be seen hit, plumes of smoke rising from them because of the impact make it difficult to gauge the damage inflicted.

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense has released a video of Azerbaijani armoured units being hammered by heavy-weapons fire, as clashes between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces broke out along the line of contact in the Nagorno-Karabakh in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The brief footage, posted on YouTube and titled “The annihalation (sic) of Azerbaijani tanks and manpower” shows at least two main battle tanks being hit, though plumes of smoke mask the extent of the damage inflicted.

Clashes in the Nagorno-Karabakh region broke out early on 27 September, with both the Armenian and the Azerbaijani sides blaming each other for initiating the hostilities.

An ombudsman for the unrecognised breakaway Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh Republic) has reportedly announced that a woman and a child have been killed during shelling by Azerbaijani forces.

Martial law and mobilisation have also been declared in both Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.

As the Armenian side has released a video of Azerbaijani tanks being destroyed amid the ongoing fighting in the Nagorno-Karabakh, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense has also broadcast footage showing the destruction of Armenian military hardware in the same region.

The YouTube video in question, apparently filmed from a drone, shows “the moment of destruction of enemy’s military equipment”, according to the caption.

“As a result of the counter-offensive operation of the units of the Azerbaijan Army, a large number of military personnel and military equipment of the Armenian troops were destroyed in various directions of the front,” the video’s caption states.

Tensions in the Nagorno-Karabakh flared on 27 September, as armed clashes between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces broke out along the line of contact early in the morning.

“The European Union’s top diplomat, Josep Borrell, called on the belligerents of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to immediately halt hostilities and return to negotiations.

“The European Union calls for an immediate cessation of hostilities, de-escalation and for strict observance of the ceasefire. The return to negotiations of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, without preconditions, is needed urgently,” a statement on behalf of Borrell read.

Germany’s Foreign Minister Heiko Maas issued similar remarks, emphasizing that the conflict can be settled only through negotiations.

“I call on both sides of the conflict to immediately end all hostilities, especially shelling of villages and towns… the conflict around Nagorno-Karabakh can be settled only through negotiations,” Maas said in a statement released by Germany’s Federal Foreign Office.

Military hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan erupted along the disputed region’s contact line on Sunday morning, with each side accusing the other of initiating hostilities and putting civilian lives in danger. Armenia, along with the unrecognized Republic of Artsakh, declared martial law and a full-scale mobilization in response to the clashes.

“Yerevan declared martial law and a mobilization of its military on Sunday morning after clashes broke out between Armenian and Azeri forces in the contested region of Nagorno-Karabakh, home to a decades-long conflict between the two Caucasus nations.

Ankara condemns “Armenia’s attack on Azerbaijan” and stands in “full solidarity” with Baku, Ibrahim Kalin, spokesman for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, announced in a tweet.

“Armenia has once again violated international law and shown that it has no interest in peace and stability. Turkey stands in full solidarity with Azerbaijan and unreservedly supports its right to self-defence,” the spokesman wrote.
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s press service confirmed to Sputnik Sunday that Erdogan had called Aliyev to express Turkey’s support for Baku.

“The president of Turkey expressed his condolences to the Azerbaijani head of state and the people of Azerbaijan in connection with the deaths of civilians and servicemen as a result of the military provocation by Armenia. Recep Tayyip Erdogan stressed that Turkey, as always, supports Azerbaijan. Expressing gratitude for the condolences, [Aliev] expressed his deep appreciation for the Turkish president’s continued support in the Armenian-Azerbaijani, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” the press service said in a statement.
Azerbaijan’s defence ministry announced Sunday morning that Armenian forces had begun massed shelling of Azerbaijani positions near the disputed self-governing, Armenian-controlled region of Nagorno-Karabakh, causing civilian casualties and injuries.

The Armenian government dismissed the allegations, claiming that it was the Azerbaijani military which had launched an offensive in the direction of Nagorno-Karabakh, and subjected the region, including the city of Stepanakert, to air, missile and artillery attacks.
Earlier Sunday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed the situation, with Moscow saying that the two sides had emphasized the need for a speedy ceasefire and a stabilization of the situation along the contact line.

In a separate statement, Russia’s foreign ministry called on both sides “to immediately cease fire” and negotiations.

The Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), whose membership includes Armenia, called for the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, saying the Organization on Security and Cooperation in Europe Minsk Group was the platform by which to do so. CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov told Sputnik that Yerevan has not asked the alliance for assistance in the present crisis…”

  12. Iraqi Migrants Accused of Dragging Women into a Car And Raping Them (breitbart, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/27/iraqi-migrants-accused-dragging-women-car-raping-them/

“Two Iraqi migrant brothers are on trial in a Berlin court after being accused of dragging young women into an SUV and then raping them for hours.

The brothers, 33-year-old Wisam and 25-year-old Karrar, were born in Baghdad and have been in custody since March of this year. They are accused of several rapes dating back to March 2018, some of which involved both of the brothers.

The first two cases involve the elder brother, Wisam, and relate to incidents that are said to have occurred in his apartment. He is accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in March 2018 and then raping a woman in May of the following year, tabloid BZ reports.

The incidents allegedly involving both of the brothers took place this year. The first occurred in January and saw the men, along with a third suspect, drag an 18-year-old woman into their vehicle at around 3:30 am after she had left the techno club Mensch Meier in the Friedrichshain district.

The teen was raped for several hours both in the SUV and in the apartment of one of the suspects. She was thrown into the street at around 7:20 in the morning.

Another women, a 21-year-old, was also dragged into the SUV by the Iraqi migrants and repeatedly raped after attending another techno club in the Friedrichshain district.

Christina Clemm, the lawyer for one of the victims, told the newspaper: “She was in fear of death for almost four hours.” A verdict in the case is expected in January of next year.

The case bears similarity to one that took place in Vienna, Austria, and also involved Iraqi migrants who were related to each other. Nine Iraqi men were arrested in August 2016 for the rape of a German woman on New Year’s Day that year.

Earlier this year, Berlin’s government released statistics on rapes in the German capital, which revealed that in half of the cases, migrants were the suspected perpetrators. Of the 210 rapes from March to July of this year, 50 of the victims were under 16.”

  13. Orbán Rejects Migration Pact, Says EU Wants to ‘Manage Migration’ Not Stop It (breitbart, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/27/central-europe-eu-wants-manage-migration-not-stop-it-new-migration-pact/

“The central European Visegrád group has criticised the European Commission’s planned reform of the EU’s asylum policy, which could ultimately force members to accept migrants.

This week, the EU’s powerful executive arm announced that it would be scrapping the Dublin arrangements and replacing it with a “strong new solidarity mechanism”. The proposal would also open up more routes for migration and asylum.

Euractiv reported that the mechanism would give member-states a choice between hosting migrants or being responsible for returning failed asylum seekers under the “returned sponsorship schemes”.

While it is claimed accepting migrants would not be mandatory, the website notes that under a proposed “crisis preparedness” mechanism, nations would be forced to take migrants either permanently or during the repatriation process, such a crisis being on the scale of the 2015 Europe migrant crisis itself.

The report even suggests that states which opt to simply hold illegals until deportation will ending up having to keep them, owing to the difficulty of repatriation.

The mass migration-sceptic Visegrád, comprised of Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia, rejected the proposals after meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen on Thursday. (Slovakia’s premier was not present, and was represented by his Czech counterpart.)

Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán said that the proposed measures do not include the option to host the migrants in “hot spots” in third countries outside of the EU, so that asylum applications can be assessed before a migrant sets foot on European soil.

“There are many changes, but there is not yet a breakthrough. A breakthrough would mean outside hotspots,” Prime Minister Orbán said after the meeting between the V4 and Mrs von der Leyen.

“Nobody can enter the EU without having a permission to do so because their request for asylum is accepted. Until that moment they have to stay out of the territory of the EU,” the Hungarian premier added.

Mr Orbán further said: “‘Allocation’ or ‘quota’, to change the name is not enough. Hungary is against it. The basic approach is still unchanged. They [the Commission] would like to manage migration, and not to stop the migrants. The Hungarian position is stop the migrants.”

His Czech counterpart Andrej Babiš agreed, saying: “We have to stop migration and the quotas and relocation. These rules are not acceptable for us.”

Mr Babiš added that migrants should instead be stopped at the EU border and returned to their home countries “and be given help there”.

The prime ministers were backed by Poland’s president, Andrzej Duda, who told local media on Friday: “For the sake of those countries from which these people are escaping war today, they need to be as close to their borders as possible in order to have the greatest possible enthusiasm and motivation to come back and rebuild them.”

President Duda criticised plans to force EU member states to accept migrants, saying: “No dictate of the European Union, I believe, should ever force us to do so. We should never agree with that.”

The Visegrad states are not the only EU nations to reject any migrant redistribution plans. Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz called any such system a “failed” policy. He advocated instead for strengthening the EU’s external borders, sending aid directly to countries where the migrants are originating, and breaking up people-trafficking networks.”

  14. Hungarian Police Discover 16 Tunnels Used by Migrants to Cross Border (breitbart, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/27/hungarian-police-discover-16-tunnels-used-migrants-cross-border/

“Hungarian police say they have discovered at least 16 tunnels used by people traffickers to smuggle migrants across the border from neighbouring Serbia.

The small tunnels, which are around a hundred feet long, are located near the village of Csikeria and the town of Morahalom. The discovery of the tunnels is said to have occurred after police managed to capture 26 illegal migrants from Afghanistan and Syria near the border.

According to a report from Italian newspaper Il Giornale, the people traffickers charge migrants as much as €3,500 to get into Hungary, and therefore into the European Union.

The tunnels have become the favoured way of sneaking into Hungary as the nation’s border fence has drastically reduced the number of migrants entering the country since it was built in late 2015.

Csongràd County police spokeswoman Szilvia Szab told local media that the tunnels were hidden under brush and that new activity showed that smugglers were ramping up their business after the Wuhan coronavirus lockdowns.

In August, Hungarian authorities first alerted the public over the development of tunnels along the border. They said that 2020 has seen at least 18,000 migrants attempt to cross into the country, the highest number since the height of the migrant crisis in 2015.

Hungary saw large numbers of migrants in January gather at the border at Röszke and demand to be let in. The Hungarian government later released footage of a group of between 50 and 70 migrants attempting to storm the border crossing.

While Hungary has managed to reduce significantly illegal immigration over the past several years, it was dealt a blow in July when the European Court of Justice ruled that Hungary could not keep migrants in so-called transit zones on the border.”

  15. Women Across France Assaulted for Wearing Skirts in Public (breitbart, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/27/women-in-france-assaulted-wearing-skirts-public/

“Women in several cities in France have reported being assaulted in the streets by young men in recent weeks, allegedly for wearing skirts. One woman was punched in the face.

Earlier this week, a 22-year-old woman in Strasbourg named Elisabeth was the victim of an assault by three young men, with two holding her while the third man punched her in the face and left her with a black eye.

The victim said the men commented on her skirt before the attack, saying: “Look at that whore in a skirt.”

Around 15 people witnessed the attack, which took place in broad daylight, but no one intervened, broadcaster France Bleu reports.

While the attack garnered attention from English-speaking media such as the BBC, it was not the only assault on young women to take place in a French city in recent weeks.

In the city of Mulhouse, two young women were attacked by an 18-year-old young man on Wednesday. According to the victims, the man accused one of them of wearing shorts that was too short and followed the pair to a tram stop while insulting them.

The teen then slapped one of the girls and pushed her to the ground and grabbed the other girl by the neck before leaving the scene.

Similar scenes have been described by women living in the city of Rennes, with city councillor Anaïs Jehanno saying: “In 2020, young girls no longer dare to walk around Rennes in miniskirts. Night workers are afraid to go home.”

Deputy Mayor for the security of Rennes Lenaïc Brièro said there had been a surge of violence since the Wuhan coronavirus lockdowns, saying: “In Rennes, but also in Paris, Nantes, Bordeaux, Brest… We have to deal with drug trafficking. And also with the presence of young, desocialised foreigners wandering around.”

In Amiens, women from the city shared their experiences of harassment on social media earlier this month including one video that went viral showing two women being harassed and labelled as “whores” for how they were dressed.”

      • France checks video claim for Paris knife attack

PARIS (AFP) – French investigators were Sunday (Sept 27) studying a video claiming responsibility for the meat cleaver attack in Paris that targeted satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo as the government condemned an act of “Islamist terrorism”.

Nine people were still under arrest, including the suspected perpetrator of Friday’s attack that left two badly wounded outside Charlie Hebdo’s former offices in Paris.

The man is an 18-year old born in Pakistan named Hassan A, according to a source close to the investigation.

He told investigators he had carried out the attack to avenge the republication of cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed by Charlie Hebdo, which was the target of a January 2015 massacre by Islamist gunmen.

The investigators were now seeking to authenticate a video which they believe could show Hassan A. announcing he was about to carry out the attack.

We see him crying, chanting. He claims in advance his act by evoking the republication of the caricatures,” said the source, who asked not to be named.

“It is a kind of manifesto, he announces he is going to act,” explained the source, adding: “It is not a claim of allegiance to an organisation.” The suspect was born in the Pakistan town of Mandi Bahauddin and while he speaks a little French he has needed a translator during questioning, the source close to the investigation said.

He is believed to have entered France three years ago while still a minor and had showed no risk of radicalisation despite once being stopped for carrying a weapon.

        ‘At war with Islamic terrorism’

The two people wounded were employees of prize-winning TV production agency Premieres Lignes, whose offices are in the same block that used to house Charlie Hebdo in the centre of the capital .

However it is not believed that the two, whose lives are not in danger, were specifically targeted.

The man mistakenly believed Charlie Hebdo’s offices were still in that building and wanted to attack journalists from the magazine, according to his statement to investigators.

One person arrested was released overnight. But as well as the main suspect eight others were still being held.

They include his younger brother and people who lived with him at his last place of residence in northern Paris.

Police on Sunday also detained a woman who had been living at the same residence, a judicial source said, without giving further details.

The arrests were aimed at understanding the “environment” of the main suspect, a source close to the case said, adding: “Everything leads us to think he acted alone.” An Algerian man, detained close to the scene of the attack, had also been released. His lawyer said her client had actually been “heroically” chasing the attacker.

The attack came three weeks into a trial in Paris of suspected accomplices in the January 2015 attacks on Charlie Hebdo, a policewoman and a Jewish supermarket that left 17 people dead.

The bloodshed heralded a wave of Islamist violence in France that has so far left 258 people dead.

Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin acknowledged that the authorities could have become complacent over the terror risk after a relative lull in high-profile attacks in recent years.

“We are in an extremely critical situation, we are at war with Islamist terrorism. Maybe, collectively, we put this behind us,” he said.

Darmanin said the threat was still real, noting 32 attacks had been foiled over the last three years. “It is around once a month,” he said.

President Emmanuel Macron’s centrist government has in recent weeks begun using increasingly tough rhetoric on domestic security issues in what analysts see as a shift to the right.

Macron’s anti-terror advisor Laurent Nunez told AFP that France had “improved in the detection” of extremists but “still had to tighten the net more”.

His real name : Zaheer Hassan Mahmood

      Born on JAN 25 1995 —- he is 25

      =========================================================

  23. France: Macron accuses Lebanese leaders of “collective betrayal” amid failure to form govt.

French President Emmanuel Macron accused the Lebanese political leaders of “collective betrayal” over their failure to form a government, during a press conference held in Paris on Sunday.

Lebanese PM-designate Mustafa Adib stepped down on Saturday after failing to form a new government following the deadly port blasts which dragged the country to an even sharper economic crisis.

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “The Beirut port explosion tipped Beirut into unprecedented chaos since the end of the civil war. I have to say it, only the extraordinary force of the Lebanese people allowed the bleeding, exhausted, angry country to preserve what could still be preserved. France was here, by its side from the first hours with fraternity and benevolence, and will always be. This strength and this unwavering friendship were taken hostage by a political class subjected to the deadly game of corruption and terror. Responsibilities are clear and established. They have to be named and we must draw all the consequences.”

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “What happened the previous days, the previous hours is actually a clarification. Lebanese political forces, their leaders, the leaders of Lebanese institutions did not wish – clearly, resolutely, explicitly – did not wish to respect the commitment made to France and the international community. They decided – and I am forced to make the cruel finding for us all a month later – they have decided to betray this commitment that was made.

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “The Lebanese authority and political forces have chosen to privilege their partisan and individual interests to the detriment of the general interest of the country. I note that they thus made the choice to deliver Lebanon to the game of foreign powers, to condemn it to chaos, instead of allowing it to benefit from the international aid which the Lebanese people need.”

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “A prime minister, I said, has been appointed. A respectable and sincere man who did what he could under difficult conditions. The Lebanese political leaders made impossible, by their dark maneuver, the formation of a mission government capable of carrying out the reforms. Some first preferred to consolidate the unity of their camp rather than that of the Lebanese as a whole, by negotiating among themselves – to better trap the others – by reintroducing a confessional criterion which was not accepted by all for the designation of ministers, as if competence was linked to (religious) confession.”

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “I therefore decide to take notice of this collective betrayal and the refusal of Lebanese officials to commit in good faith to the contract that France offered them on September 1st. They bear full responsibility. It will be (a) heavy (responsibility). And they will have to answer for it before the Lebanese people.”

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “By the end of October, as I committed to it on September 1, we will organise, with the United Nations and all of our international partners, a new conference following the one on August 9 to mobilise and promote international aid to Beirut and the Lebanese people.”

SOT, Emmanuel Macron, French President (French): “(To a Lebanese reporter) I am ashamed, I am ashamed for your leaders. I’m ashamed for them.”

  25. Swedish Church Denies Group It Supports Has Muslim Brotherhood Ties (breitbart, Sep 27, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/27/swedish-church-denies-group-it-supports-has-muslim-brotherhood-ties/

“The Church of Sweden has defended a Muslim charity it works with against allegations of links to the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, only to be countered by claims from a Swedish terror expert.

The official Twitter account of the Church, managed by its communications department, replied to a conversation on Thursday started by Social Democrat member Maria Hind Alias about the Muslim charity Islamic Relief, which the Church has worked with in the past.

Another Twitter user pointed out that Islamic Relief has reported links to the Muslim Brotherhood, something Islamic relief denied in a press release last year after German press reported on the alleged links.

“Allegations surfacing in the German media claiming that Islamic Relief Worldwide has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood are damaging, defamatory and false. Islamic Relief is a purely humanitarian organisation, which categorically has no ties to any political group,” the group had said in April 2019.

The Church of Sweden Twitter account echoed the sentiment, writing that the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI) had “released reports showing that there is no scientific support to say that these organisations are linked to [the Muslim Brotherhood].”

Swedish terrorism expert Magnus Ranstorp replied to the church tweet, saying: “That statement is not true.” He claimed that there had been studies showing clear links between Islamic Relief and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Ranstorp has long been a critic of Sweden’s approach to radical Islam. He criticised the government in August after it was revealed that over 1.2 billion Swedish kronor of government cash had gone to organisations linked to radical Islamists in the last five years.

The Church of Sweden has long been known as one of the most liberal churches in Europe. It has been not only accommodating of Muslims by proposing allowing churches to be used for Muslim prayers, but clergy members have expressed joy at the Islamic call to prayer being public broadcast in the country.”
