Reader’s Links for September 24, 2020

Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

Disciple of Keynes Calls for Gold to be Banned in Germany

Hey guys, a Harvard and LSE educated leftist wrote in the leftist newspaper Zeit Online, that gold should be banned.
Not only the possession, but also the production.
Of course, at Harvard you do not learn, that gold has also industrial applications, but that is not really the point, here.

    • The greatest beneficiary of Keynesian money printing is the left. Gold is antithetical to the Keynesian concept that debt is money.

  3. Swedish 2021 Budget Spends More on Foreign Aid Than Police Force (breitbart, Sep 24, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/24/swedish-2021-budget-spends-more-on-foreign-aid-than-police-force/

“The new Swedish 2021 budget has been revealed, with the government looking to spend more on foreign aid than on the country’s police force despite violent gang crime remaining a problem.

The budget, which will see the government borrow 67 billion Swedish kronor (SEK) (£5.9 billion/$7.5 billion), will see 52 billion SEK set aside for foreign aid, which is around five per cent of the total national budget. While a few billion will go towards immigration, the rest, approximately 46.8 billion, will go directly overseas.

The Swedish police authority, meanwhile, will see 30.5 billion SEK in the new budget. The business community will get 15 billion and rural and agricultural areas are set to receive 23 billion, Nyheter Idag reports.

The new budget comes as Sweden continues to struggle with the growing problem of gang-related violence in the form of shootings and explosive attacks that have plagued the country for several years.

Earlier this month, deputy national police chief Mats Löfving directly linked the rise in gang crime to mass migration, when describing the structures of migrant criminal clans.

“These clans come to Sweden solely with the purpose of organising and systematising crime. They work to create power, they have a great capacity for violence, and they want to make money. And they do that with drugs, violent crimes, and extortion,” Löfving said.

Swedish prime minister Stefan Löfven initially dismissed any links between migration and crime but just days later made a U-turn while being questioned in the Swedish parliament. He said: “With a large migration, where we cannot cope with integration, then there is also a greater risk of the kind of problems that we see. It’s crystal clear.”

This year, Sweden is projected to have a budget deficit of around 296 billion SEK (£26 billion/$33.2 billion) due to costs dealing with the effects of the outbreak of the Wuhan virus.

Sweden’s national debt is also set to increase from 35 per cent of GDP to 42 per cent.”

  5. here are the details about the Lancet scandal.

There is an ongoing battle to suppress Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ), a cheap and effective drug for the treatment of Covid-19. The campaign against HCQ is carried out through slanderous political statements, media smears, not to mention an authoritative peer reviewed “evaluation” published on May 22nd by The Lancet, which was based on fake figures and test trials.

The study was allegedly based on data analysis of 96,032 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 between Dec 20, 2019, and April 14, 2020 from 671 hospitals Worldwide. The database had been fabricated. The objective was to kill the Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) cure on behalf of Big Pharma.
While The Lancet article was retracted, the media casually blamed “a tiny US based company” named Surgisphere whose employees included “a sci-fi writer and adult content model” for spreading “flawed data” (Guardian). This Chicago based outfit was accused of having misled both the WHO and national governments, inciting them to ban HCQ. None of those trial tests actually took place.

By Joe Newby September 23, 2020

As reported by Axios and other sources, failed Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg has raised over $16 million to help convicted felons in Florida register to vote. The monetary obligations for 32,000 felons have already been paid.

“The right to vote is fundamental to our democracy and no American should be denied that right,” a Bloomberg spokesperson said. “Working together with the Florida Rights Restoration Coalition (FRRC), we are determined to end disenfranchisement and the discrimination that has always driven it.” (FRRC describes itself as a grassroots outfit run by and for “returning citizens” — a euphemism for ex-cons.)

  9. El Al Pilot Recounts Outmaneuvering Palestinian Hijacker Leila Khaled

Fifty years ago this month, El Al pilot Uri Bar-Lev, today a retiree just shy of 90, foiled Palestinian hijacker Leila Khaled and an accomplice during a violent midair hijacking attempt on a flight from Amsterdam to New York – the only pilot ever to do so.

On Sep. 6, 1970, Khaled boarded El Al Flight 219. Soon after takeoff, Bar-Lev got word that two terrorists were hijacking the plane. They had shot and gravely wounded an El Al flight attendant and had put a gun to the head of another, demanding to be let into the cockpit, which Bar-Lev had immediately locked. While he feared for the flight attendant, “I knew what they would do to me and the crew and the Jewish passengers if we were taken.”

Bar-Lev put the plane in a steep dive. The aircraft plummeted 10,000 feet in under 60 seconds. He knew his passengers, all seated and strapped in, would be safe. The terrorists were thrown to the floor. Once the plane leveled out, one of the two on-board Israeli sky marshals shot the accomplice dead. Khaled was physically subdued.

The South Syria Deal: Two Years Later

Two years have passed since a U.S.-Russian understanding with Jordan’s and Israel’s blessings allowed government forces to take control of the countrysides of Daraa and Quneitra in southwestern Syria. Daraa-based opposition forces had to surrender, while “non-Syrian elements” (a euphemism for pro-Iran militias) were removed from the Jordan and Golan borders.

Two years later, Jordan is still unable to relocate refugees in large numbers, and Iran’s continued presence is prompting Israeli airstrikes. The U.S.-Russian agreement failed to completely keep Iranian forces away from the Jordanian or Israeli borders. Iran may have withdrawn its non-Syrian militias, but it is consolidating its presence by enlisting Syrian militias to keep the pressure on Israel.

At the same time, a quiet struggle over South Syria is being played out via two proxy forces in the Syrian military: the Iranian-leaning 4th Division and the Russian-backed 5th Corps, with repeated attempts by each side to take full control. Moreover, Iran has long sought to install cells in the Golan, coupled with Hizbullah taking over al-Hadar in the Quneitra countryside.

  11. Lt.-Col. (res.) Dr. Mordechai Kedar:
    Why Other Arabs Resent Palestinians

While many Arabs and Muslims hate Israel, a good many hate the Palestinians just as much. Many of the Palestinian Arabs are not originally Palestinians at all. They are immigrants who came to the Land of Israel from all over the Arab world during the British Mandate in order to find employment in the cities and on the farms the Jews had built. Why, ask the other Arabs, should they get preferential treatment over those who remained in their original countries?

At the end of the 1948 Israeli War of Independence, the politics in the Arab world began to center on Israel and the “Palestinian problem,” the solution to which was to be achieved by eliminating Israel. In order to succeed in that mission, the Arab “refugees” were kept in camps and not absorbed into other Arab countries. They were provided with food, education, and medical care without charge, even as other Arabs had to work to provide food, education, and medical care for their own families. “Refugees” would often sell some of their free foodstuffs to their non-refugee neighbors and make a tidy profit.

Over the years, the Palestinian Arabs were given many billions of dollars by the nations of the world, so that the yearly per capita income in the PA is several times greater than that of the Arabs in Egypt, Sudan, Algeria, Syria, Iraq, Libya, and Yemen.

Much of the Arab and Muslim world is convinced that the Palestinians do not in fact want a state of their own. After all, if that state were established, the world would cease its steady donations and Palestinian Arabs would have to work just like everyone else.

  12. F-35 Sale to the UAE: How to Balance Competing Priorities

The F-35 is the most advanced fighter currently on the market, and acquiring it would significantly increase the UAE’s deterrence against Iranian military activity. In the future, the UAE’s relations with either Israel or the U.S. could shift, but the jet’s sophistication would likely mitigate the impact of any such shift.

The F-35 requires substantial maintenance and expertise, most of it provided through Lockheed Martin. The capabilities that make this aircraft so extraordinary would rapidly degrade without intensive assistance from the contractor.

At the same time, Washington must figure out how to handle F-35 requests from additional partners who may be more politically problematic, by assessing the potential rise of hostile geopolitical realignments that might threaten American interests and Israeli security in the future.

    https://www.washingtoninstitute.org/policy-analysis/view/how-to-balance-competing-priorities-with-an-f-35-sale-to-the-uae
    ……
It’s a great point, need for maintenance is a restraint. But enemies skilled in reverse engineering might well find work-arounds.

The UAE is the most stable of the bunch, and the USA sits on top of it. But others might get jealous, make demands.

[One of my brothers worked on the F35 for over a decade. Now he’s all drone, drone, drone.]

    • Why the UAE Is Uniquely Stable among the Arab States

Among the Arab Gulf states, the UAE shows signs of greater stability than any of its neighbors. It does not have a problem of religious extremism. It has a clear succession for the presidency. It has resolved most of its border problems with its neighbors.

Abu Dhabi is the largest of the emirates, accounting for 88% of the entire area. It dominates the federal government and its relative size and wealth make it extremely difficult for the lesser emirates to break off. Some 25% of the UAE population are Shiites. But concern there has focused on families of Iranian origin who are represented in large numbers in Dubai (as many as 400,000).

The U.S. and UAE signed a Defense Cooperation Agreement in 1994, after which the U.S. military presence in the UAE greatly expanded. Roughly 5,000 U.S. servicemen are deployed there. The Al Dhafra air base near Abu Dhabi has proven critical for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as combat operations against ISIS. The U.S. also uses naval facilities at the Jebel Ali port and Fujairah.

The large American military contingent acts as a tripwire:an armed attack by Iran on Abu Dhabi that led to U.S. fatalities would likely bring about a massive American retaliation. Above all, American power in the Gulf region is the single most important factor in guaranteeing the stability of the UAE in the future.

The UAE has taken measures to reduce its vulnerability to internal Islamist challenges. Moreover, public opinion is strongly against the emergence of any form of a theocratic state, which helped put the brakes on support for radical Islamic organizations. UAE courts closed down all branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in 2014.

    • How the UAE Emerged as a Regional Powerhouse

In 1999, with the Kosovo war raging, I was at a camp set up by the Emirates Red Crescent Society. Emirati troops patrolled the perimeter in Humvees mounted with heavy machine-guns. We had flown up the previous day in Puma helicopters flown by UAE Air Force pilots.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, a graduate of Britain’s Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, tells me there that the UAE has entered into a strategic partnership with France. As part of a deal to buy 400 French Leclerc tanks, the French are taking a brigade of Emirati troops “under their wing,” training them to deploy alongside them in Kosovo. The UAE became the first modern Arab state to deploy its military in Europe, in support of NATO.

Emirati forces also began quietly operating alongside NATO in Afghanistan. Former U.S. Defense Secretary Jim Mattis dubbed the UAE “Little Sparta,” in reference to this country punching well above its weight.

This September, the UAE sent ships and fighter jets to Crete for joint exercises with Greece. With U.S. help, Abu Dhabi has become the first Arab nation to send a mission to Mars.

      https://www.bbc.com/news/world-middle-east-54235209
      ……..
“Little Sparta” has the best PR in the world. Not only corporate outlets, they feed social media influencers in several languages.

With a tiny population, except for a sprinkling of officers, their military is 99% foreign mercenary. Loyalty of such an army is not assured. See, for example, the situation now in Libya, where fighters are constantly changing sides.

  14. Nearly All Top Ten Baby Names in Paris Suburbs Have Islamic Connection (breitbart, Sep 24, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/europe/2020/09/24/nearly-all-top-ten-baby-names-paris-suburbs-have-islamic-connection/

“The majority of baby names given in the suburbs of Paris have Islamic connections, according to figures released by the French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).

The Paris suburbs of Seine-Saint-Denis is known for having a high proportion of residents from migration backgrounds as well as a high illegal alien population.

The INSEE figures state that the number one male baby name in the suburb is Mohammed, followed by Adam, Ibrahim, Amir, Rayan, and Ishmael.

Mohammed is also the most popular male baby name in the district of Essonne, Le Parisien reports.

For girls, the most popular name in Seine-Saint-Denis for newborns was Lina, followed by Inaya, Sarah, Nour, Sofia, Aya, and Assia.

While names like Adam and Lina have a long history in France and other western countries, they have been described as “chameleon names” by Le Parisien, which wrote earlier this month that all three monotheistic religions frequently use such names.

“This term refers to a first name that has a cultural or historical resonance in each of the three monotheistic religions and which can also, thanks to its sounds, have the advantage of pleasing secular people,” expert Stephanie Rapoport said.

Gabriel, the most popular name for baby boys in 2019, is also seen as a “chameleon name”, according to Rapoport.

“Gabriel, like Adam, has taken over and both are typically first names that are suitable for parents with different religions or religious origins. They are found in the sacred writings of Islam and the Christian and Jewish religions,” she said.

It is widely known that Seine-Saint-Denis has a sizeable Muslim population through other indicators, including the high rate of female genital mutilation (FGM) in the area.

According to a 2018 report, at least 30 per cent, nearly a third, of girls were facing the threat of FGM, according to sociologist Isabelle Gillette-Faye.”

  15. QUEBEC – VAUDREUIL_DORION – Council says no to loudspeakers outside new Vaudreuil-Dorion Islamic cultural centre

Vaudreuil-Dorion council approved preliminary plans in August for a new Islamic cultural centre that will be built on the site of the former Sunny’s Bar and Restaurant and have adopted a resolution to restrict outside noise and the flying of flags.

Outdoor loudspeakers will be prohibited at the site of a new Islamic cultural centre after Vaudreuil-Dorion council unanimously adopted a resolution at the first bi-monthly meeting on Monday, September 8, forbidding their use.

The resolution amended the original cultural centre project that was adopted by council at their last meeting, said the city’s Director General Olivier Van Neste in a telephone interview with The Journal. The resolution also prohibits the flying of flags outdoors.

    Restriction disallows outdoor speakers

“We added a restriction that it is not allowed to use outside speakers to reproduce sounds. It was a worry from certain citizens that if there were speakers, it would be used for a call of prayer like it happens in certain parts of the world,” said Van Neste.

“There are some Muslim cultural centres that use speakers outside. We added this condition for the project that it won’t be allowed to have speakers outside. It’s a project to change the former restaurant into a cultural centre for the Muslim community,” added Van Neste.

The recent changes made by the city in regards to the project were done as a result of a consultation process the city undertook earlier with residents. “The consultation already took place. It was a written consultation because of COVID-19 but now the next step is that if people want to oppose or support the project, they can sign a petition that will either open or not open a register,” said Van Neste.

    Petition signing

Residents in five specific zones – the zone where the new cultural centre will be located and the four surrounding zones – will be able to voice their support or disapproval of the project by signing a petition from September 10 until September 18.

There is still no word on when work to build the new cultural centre will begin. It will be built at the site of the former Sunny’s Bar and Restaurant, 2400 Rang St. Antoine at the corner of Rue Chicoine.

“I know they have been waiting to operate in a new place for a while. I’m guessing they’ll start the work as soon as it’s possible in terms of the by-law,” said Van Neste.

  18. U.S. Attorney: Military Ballots, Cast for Trump, Found Discarded in Pennsylvania (breitbart, Sep 24, 2020)
    https://www.breitbart.com/2020-election/2020/09/24/u-s-attorney-military-ballots-cast-for-trump-found-discarded-in-pennsylvania/

“Several military ballots cast for President Donald Trump have been recovered after federal authorities opened an unspecified investigation regarding mail-in ballots in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office Middle District of Pennsylvania said in a Thursday statement:
On Monday, September 21, 2020, at the request of Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis, the Office of the United States Attorney along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Scranton Resident Office, began an inquiry into reports of potential issues with a small number of mail-in ballots at the Luzerne County Board of Elections.

Since Monday, FBI personnel working together with the Pennsylvania State Police have conducted numerous interviews and recovered and reviewed certain physical evidence. Election officials in Luzerne County have been cooperative. At this point we can confirm that a small number of military ballots were discarded. Investigators have recovered nine ballots at this time. Some of those ballots can be attributed to specific voters and some cannot. All nine ballots were cast for presidential candidate Donald Trump.

It is presently unclear how many ballots were discarded.

The development comes as U.S. Postal Service officials are investigating trays of mail discovered in a ditch in Greenville, Wisconsin, on Tuesday. In a statement, the Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office said the three trays were found at 8 a.m. near the Appleton International Airport. A USPS spokesman confirmed to FOX 11 that the mail included absentee ballots.

Speaking to the Washington Examiner, the sheriff’s office said the “mail going to the post office.”

“The United States Postal Inspection Service immediately began investigating and we reserve further comment on this matter until that is complete,” USPS spokesman Bob Sheehan said.

On Monday, a federal judge ruled that the Postal Service must prioritize election mail.

“The right to vote is too vital a value in our democracy to be left in a state of suspense in the minds of voters weeks before a presidential election, raising doubts as to whether their votes will ultimately be counted,” stated U.S. District Judge Victor Marrero.

“Conflicting, vague, and ambivalent managerial signals could also sow substantial doubt about whether the USPS is up to the task, whether it possesses the institutional will power and commitment to its historical mission, and so to handle the exceptional burden associated with a profoundly critical task in our democratic system, that of collecting and delivering election mail a few weeks from now,” the judge added.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly warned of voter fraud associated with voting by mail, though he has expressed support for obtaining an absentee ballot if a person was in another state or had a medical condition

“We’re not going to destroy this country by allowing things like that to happen. We’re not destroying our country,” Trump has said. “This has more to do with fairness and honesty and, really, our country itself.”

“People take them where they force people to vote,” he previously warned. “They harvest … They take many, many ballots, and they put them all together, and then they just dump them, and nobody has any idea whether they’re crooked or not.””

    Today’s woke violence – yesterday’s red tactics.
Thu Sep 24, 2020 Joseph Hippolito

The unprecedented violence perpetrated by Antifa and Black Lives Matter embodies two of the Left’s biggest tactics in its quest to fundamentally transform the United States.

One is to force a race war by radicalizing African-Americans to a violent degree. The other involves making mayhem more intimidating by spreading police and firefighters as thinly as possible, thereby limiting their ability to respond quickly.

Manning Johnson, an African-American, spoke about the first tactic from personal experience. Describing himself as a “dedicated ‘comrade’ ” and a “professional revolutionist,” Johnson belonged to the Communist Party USA for 10 years. He served as a union organizer, director of agitation propaganda, and a member of the party’s national committee. Johnson even ran as the party’s candidate for a Congressional seat in New York.

The investigation launched after Finance Committee Chairman Charles Grassley (R-IA) publicly raised conflict-of-interest concerns about the sale of a U.S. company to a Chinese firm with ties to Hunter Biden a month before Congress was notified about a whistleblower complaint that was the catalyst for Democrats’ impeachment of President Donald Trump. The Senate’s investigation relied on records from the U.S. government, Democrat lobbying groups, and interviews of numerous current and former officials.

  23. PM Orbán in Magyar Nemzet: Together we will succeed again

The following text is the official, English-language transcript of Prime Minister Orbán’s article in conservative daily Magyar Nemzet.

Prelude to the autumn political season

    There is no.. […]

    Illiberal, Christian democratic, conservative, liberal

    The struggle for spiritual …[…]

Europe and its place in the world

In the middle of the first…[…]

    The virus, protection and prospects

The second wave of the virus…[…]

    The usual suspects

Freedom is the ability to decide for oneself. The central issue throughout more than 1,100 years of history in the Carpathian Basin has always been the preservation or restoration of a free and independent Hungary. Every day we had to fight to acquire or retain the right to decide matters for ourselves. This thought permeates Hungarian history; it is this community of freedom that unites the people who live in the Carpathian Basin.

The greatest threat to national self-determination today is the network that promotes a global open society, and seeks to abolish national frameworks. The goals of a George Soros-style network, which has unlimited financial and human resources, are clear: to create open societies of mixed ethnicity through the acceleration of migration, to dismantle national decision-making and hand it over to the global elite.

Against this, in order to strengthen the national framework, Europe in the early 2010s saw the development of a national resistance movement, in which Hungary has been a considerable force from the very beginning. The 2010 change of government in Hungary and constitutional revolution offered the opportunity to dismantle the frameworks and structures that serve the interests of the liberal and colonising global elite. To this end, a new Fundamental Law [Constitution] was adopted, and a raft of new legislation and unorthodox measures were enacted. National politics has broken away from narrow elitist ideologically-driven governance, and has constructed the new political order through actions in line with the desires of society. The foundation of this is freedom, or the capacity for independent decision-making.

The battle between the global elite and the national resistance is not over. It is clear that the global elite is not resigning itself to allowing politics that goes against its interests to take root in Central Europe.

We saw what happened in the Polish presidential election. In the spring it seemed that the Polish left was still in ruins, and that their eternal infighting would give their candidate no chance of winning. But this isn’t what happened. In just a few weeks, the candidate of the Left – with the Soros network, the Brussels elite and the international media standing behind him – forced the national side into making a major effort. In the end Andrzej Duda was only just able to overcome his left-wing rival in a very close fight.

We should not deceive ourselves: the global elite will apply the same strategy in Hungary in the 2022 election campaign.

Their instrument is the Left, which has already failed several times. The leader of this is Ferenc Gyurcsány, its youth organisation is Momentum, and its billionaire sponsor is George Soros. They are the forces from the past, who have already ruined the country once.

Although various party logos still exist on the opposition side, and we can sometimes hear the sounds of quarrelling from within their ranks, there are in fact no longer any parties with their own free will. The work is complete: everyone from Jobbik to the LMP has been ground down and stuffed into the sausage skin. Communities that once had independent identities have been replaced by a left-wing people’s front that serves the Soros network.

They are preparing for a decisive battle in 2022. Behind them they will have the international media, the Brussels bureaucrats and the NGOs in the guise of civil society organisations. We can have no doubt that they will do everything possible for power and money. The time has come for us, too, to marshal our forces. After difficult years of governance, we must now return to the election battlefield. It is time to gather up our equipment, so that when the time comes we can ride out to battle. A great battle awaits us in 2022. Prepare for it.

  25. 65 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Eastern Afghanistan
    https://www.thedefensepost.com/2020/09/24/65-taliban-insurgents-killed/

“Afghan security forces have killed 65 Taliban militants during an intense battle in eastern Afghanistan, officials said Thursday, as fighting rages between the two sides despite ongoing peace talks.

The latest bloodshed came late Wednesday after the Taliban stormed a military headquarters building in the Wazi Khwa district of Paktika province.

“The fighting lasted several hours and in a retaliatory attack by the Afghan forces, the Taliban suffered heavy casualties,” Paktika police spokesman Shah Mohammad Arian told AFP.

“In the clash, 65 Taliban fighters were killed and 35 others were wounded. Unfortunately, three police forces were martyred and six others wounded.”

Bakhtiar Gul Zadran, the head of Paktika provincial council, confirmed the information.

The Taliban did not immediately comment.

The violence came a day after the Taliban said they had killed 28 Afghan paramilitary policemen in Uruzgan in southern Afghanistan.

The violence comes as Taliban and Afghan government negotiators are meeting in Doha, where they are trying to find a way to end 19 years of war.

A hopeful start to the peace talks September 12 was immediately marred by fresh violence across Afghanistan.

Negotiations are moving slowly, with the two sides trying to thrash out various parameters before deciding an agenda.”

  26. Saudi Arabia Source of Instability in Region Not Iran: Envoy
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2020/09/24/2355792/saudi-arabia-source-of-instability-in-region-not-iran-envoy

“Iran’s permanent representative to the UN dismissed Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s recent accusations against Tehran as a “blame game” aimed at diverting world attention away from Riyadh’s dark record of supporting terrorism.

“Saudi Arabia desperately seeks to press charges against others in order to deflect attention from its long, dark record of extensively supporting terrorism, promoting extremist ideologies, sowing the seeds of discord and hatred, making destabilizing moves in the region and committing crimes during its aggression against Yemen in the past six years,” Majid Takht-Ravanchi noted.

“It has completely been proven that Saudi Arabia, as a source of instability in the region, was the main financial supporter of Saddam Hussein, the Iraqi dictator, during Iraq’s eight-year aggression against Iran during which he committed countless crimes, including using chemical weapons against Iranian and Iraqi citizens and cities,” he added, according to IFP news.

“It has also become completely clear today that Saudi Wahhabi ideology was the main source of inspiration for the most dangerous terrorist groups such as the ISIS and al-Qaeda, and this country is seen as the key sponsor of these groups with its petrodollars,” he said.

“Another example of Saudi Arabia’s destabilizing move in the region is its merciless killings during its aggression against Yemen over the past six years, which have had no results other than the killing of women and children and the destruction of houses, mosques and hospitals and the targeting of mourning and wedding ceremonies alike,” he noted.

“These crimes against Yemeni children have been so heinous that the UN has put Saudi Arabia on top of the list of the world’s child-killing entities, though the name of the country was removed from the list later due to completely unprofessional reasons,” he said.

The ambassador said Riyadh, in an inhumane move, keeps using famine as a war tactic and also prevents fuel, food and medicines from being sent to Yemeni people.

Iran’s reaction came after the Saudi king, in his UN General Assembly speech, accused Iran of having struck Saudi oil facilities with missiles last year, a charge that Tehran vehemently denies.

The monarch claimed Iran keeps targeting Saudi Arabia with ballistic missiles and drones.

He said international pressure against Iran should increase in order to prevent Tehran from attaining what he called “weapons of mass destruction.””

  27. Ten Killed in Yemen Army’s Attack on Saudi Base
    https://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2020/09/24/2355644/ten-killed-in-yemen-army-s-attack-on-saudi-base

“The Yemeni army backed by Popular Committees launched a retaliatory missile attack against a military base near the Saudi border, killing at least ten.

The Wednesday night missile attack struck a military base located in Yemen’s Saada governorate on the border with Dhahran in southern Saudi Arabia.

It has reportedly targeted a concentration of Saudi-backed forces loyal to the fugitive Yemeni president Riyadh is trying to get back into power through its five-year war on Yemen.

A report by Al Jazeera says 10 were killed and several others wounded in the Yemeni attack.

The Yemeni army and popular committees have not yet comment on the missile attack, according to Press TV.

Earlier this month, Yemeni armed forces launched missile and drones strikes against a strategic target in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, as they step up their campaign of retaliation against the aggressor kingdom.

Spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces Brigadier General Yahya Saree said that a domestically-developed Zolfaqar ballistic missile and four Samad-3 drones were used to hit the “important target” in Riyadh in early September.

He said Yemeni forces will keep up their retaliatory raids against sensitive and strategic targets on Saudi soil as long as Riyadh and its allies fail to end their military campaign and siege against Yemen…”
