Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

  2. Van rams police car multiple times in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Shots fired, the van got away and later rammed into a blockade of police motor bikes. The van caught fire, driver ran away but was arrested. Motive still unclear.

    The government needs to arrange that undocumented migrants who are repeat offenders can be deported from the Netherlands as soon as possible, police union NPB said to Hart van Nederland. According to the union, such repeat offenders cost the police too much time and effort. Minister Ferdinand Grapperhaus of Justice and Security said that he is taking the appeal seriously.
    NPB made this appeal after community police officer Bas Wijnen in Alkmaar tweeted about a repeat-offender who doesn’t have a residency permit for the Netherlands. According to the officer, the man from Morocco was fined for theft, threats and intimidation at a shopping center, after he had just been released from a 2-year-long prison sentence. The police system showed that the man already had 579 previous registrations against him, the officer said.

    “French President Emmanuel Macron said the heads of the Southern Countries of the European Union bloc, also known as the Med7 were willing to conduct a responsible dialogue with Turkey in the wake of toughened Eastern Mediterranean tensions.

    “With Turkey, we want to resume a responsible dialogue, without naivety and in good faith,” Macron wrote on Twitter.

    He also said it was important to “assert our European sovereignty” in the Mediterranean to ensure the region’s stability, security, as well as biodiversity and the climate.

    Macron expressed his solidarity with Greece following the recent major blaze on the Lesbos island, which had destroyed a large migrant camp in Moria.

    Earlier on Thursday Macron held a summit with the leaders of Med7 nations, which include France, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Malta, Cyprus, and Italy, on the French island of Corsica. The French president expressed support to Greece and Cyprus in the wake of Ankara’s drilling activities in the disputed waters, and reportedly urged the bloc to be tough with Erdogan’ government, for what he was condemned by the Turkish authorities.

    The subject of the ongoing tensions in the region of Eastern Mediterranean has been Turkey’s gas exploration initiative in the areas which Greece and Cyprus claim as their exclusive economic zones. Athens has mobilized its military forces in August amid the aggravation of relations with Ankara, after Turkey had increased drilling operations in the vicinity of the Greek border.

    Turkey-Cyprus tensions have been brewing since 2011 over the offshore drilling rights since the discovery of the first gas deposits off the coast of the island in 2011, with Ankara rejecting the EEZ claims of Nicosia.”

In spring, the government decided to accept 175 particularly vulnerable asylum seekers from the Mediterranean region.     “INDIA has accused Pakistan of launching more cross-border attacks in the disputed Kashmir today amid soaring tensions between the two countries.

    The latest clashes come 48 hours after a Pakistani soldier was killed when fresh fighting broke out in the Poonch district of the volatile region. Indian defence ministry spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand said: “Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms and then shelling with mortars along the Line of Control in Mankote sector. The Indian Army is retaliating befittingly.”

    Lt Col Anand said the Pakistan Army had earlier targeted forward areas along the LoC in Poonch district.

    Two shops and two houses were partially damaged in Balakot sector.

    He said: “On Thursday, Pakistan Army first targeted Mankote sector around 5.30am, then Degwar sector at about 11.45am and Mendhar Sector at about 12.15pm. The Indian Army retaliated befittingly.”

    The Pakistani army said one of its soldiers was killed in an exchange of fire with Indian troops across the LoC on Wednesday.

    Military officials said the Indian army was responsible for an unprovoked ceasefire violation in which Pakistan army posts and civilian areas were targeted.

    Pakistan said it had inflicted heavy losses on Indian troops.

    A spokesman said: “Pakistan Army responded effectively. Reports of heavy losses on the enemy in terms of men and material.

    “During exchange of intense fire, Havaldar Liaqat, age 39 years, died.”

    The spokesman also claimed Pakistan Army troops had shot down an Indian spying quadcopter in Chakothi sector along the LoC.

    He said: “The quadcopter had intruded 500 meters on Pakistan’s side of the LoC.

    “This is 11th Indian quadcopter shot down by Pakistan Army this year.”

    Officials in New Delhi claim Pakistan has violated the ceasefire on more than 3,200 occasions this year.

    Lt Gen BS Raju, General-Officer-in-Command of 15 Corps, said the army had alerted all personnel to closely monitor any flying object seen along the LoC.

    The Indian border Security force (BSF) shot down a Pakistani drone in Hiranagar sector of Kathua in June and recovered arms and ammunition.

    Military sources said the weapons were being sent to terrorist training camps in Kashmir.

    They said an US-made M4 semi-automatic rifle, 60 rounds in two magazines and seven M67 grenades were found attached to the drone.

    Pakistan’s envoy to the United Nations has warned the possibility of a war between the nuclear-armed neighbours remains real a year after India moved to take total control of the disputed border region.

    Munir Akram said: “I think the risk is real and present of a possible war between India and Pakistan.

    “For Pakistan’s part, we have acted with restraint.””

    “A group of 130 British politicians have compared the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution and systematic “ethnic cleansing” of the Uyghur Muslim population in Xinjiang to “Nazi Germany”.

    On Tuesday, a cross-party group of MPs and peers sent a joint letter to the Chinese Ambassador to the United Kingdom, Liu Xiaoming, to condemn the “truly chilling” oppression being carried out by the communist regime in Beijing.

    The letter, which was coordinated by Labour MP Siobhain McDonagh, pointed to drone footage apparently showing shaven Uyghurs being loaded onto trains in Xinjiang, saying: “The similarities between this video and historical footage of Nazi Germany concentration camps is truly chilling.”

    “The Chinese Government’s actions must be stated for what they are: a systematic and calculated programme of ethnic cleansing against the Uighur people. When the world is presented with such overwhelming evidence of gross human rights abuses, nobody can turn a blind eye,” the letter added.

    The letter was also signed by Tory Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Tom Tugendhat, and the leader of the Liberal Democrats, Ed Davey.

    In July, when Mr Liu was shown the footage on the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show, the ambassador first denied the veracity of the film, claiming that it might be a fabrication of Western intelligence agencies, before extolling the natural beauty of Xinjiang.

    “People in Xinjiang enjoy a happy life,” he claimed, adding: “Every ethnic group in China is treated equal. That’s the success story of Chinese national policy.”

    “They say one million Uyghur has been persecuted — you know how big, how many populations Xinjiang has? Forty years ago it’s just four, five million, now it’s 11 million people, and people say, you know, we impose, we have a ethnic cleansing — but the population has doubled in 40 years,” Mr Liu claimed. He added that “there’s no such concentration camp in Xinjiang”.

    Contrary to Mr Liu’s claims, however, an independent analysis carried out by the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation revealed that population growth in the two largest population centres of Uyghur Muslims in the region fell by over 80 per cent between 2013 and 2018.

    The research backs up numerous claims from escaped Uyghurs, who have alleged to have witnessed widespread sterilisation of women. Those who have survived the concentration camps in Xinjiang have also revealed they were subjected to torture, rape, and organ harvesting committed by the communist state.

    In 2019 one Uyghur woman, Zumuret Dawut, described her experiences of being forcefully sterilised by the CCP, recounting: “The family planning office gave me a letter and said: ‘Come back on the date stated in the letter and we will offer you a free operation to stop you from becoming pregnant.’”

    “On hearing this my husband pleaded, ‘Does she have to undergo this procedure?’… They said, ‘If you don’t comply it will effect your entry back into the country in the future, also your children’s schooling,’” she said.

    Mrs Dawut said that she was given an “infusion” in an operating room and that when she awoke after her operation she heard “other women moaning from pain” and reported that she felt a “sharp pain” in her lower abdomen.

    It has been estimated that the Chinese Communist Party has interned between one and three million Uyghur Muslim people in concentration camps in the western Chinese region of Xinjiang, alongside other ethnic minorities including Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, and even some Christians.

    The organiser of the group of British MPs, Siobhain McDonagh, said: “When the world is presented with such overwhelming evidence of gross human rights abuses, nobody can turn a blind eye. Because this time no one can say they didn’t know.””

    “Residents on the island of Lesbos have set up roadblocks to prevent the rebuilding of the notorious Moria migrant camp that burned to the ground earlier this week.

    The residents set up the roadblocks to prevent authorities and other groups from restoring the camp, and have called for the over 10,000 migrants to be moved elsewhere.

    According to a report for Greek newspaper Proto Thema, the atmosphere on the island has been tense since the fire which has resulted in migrants setting up temporary camps in various areas, including a cemetery.

    “For five years now, the whole village has been suffering. We have suffered a burden that should have been suffered by the whole of Europe,” one resident told the newspaper. They added: “We’ve reached our limits. Is anyone thinking of us who see our property destroyed? We’re protesting. We don’t want this camp to be rebuilt.”

    The Greek Ministry of Migration and Asylum responded saying that all of the migrants would be housed within a day and added that “blackmailing behaviour will not be tolerated”.

    While locals have stated they want the migrants off the island, a ferry brought to house 1,000 migrants was also blocked by Lesbos residents on Thursday at the harbour of Sigri.

    According to newspaper Kathimerini, the roads for the ferry were blocked to prevent equipment being unloaded that could help rebuild the Moria camp.

    Local mayor of Mytilene Stratis Kytelis expressed support for the actions of the residents, saying he will push for the removal of the migrant camp on Lesbos entirely.

    Greek government spokesman Stelios Petsas, meanwhile, stated that only underage migrants would be evacuated from Lesbos after the fire and accused migrants of setting the fires that destroyed the camp.

    “They thought that if they set fire to Moria, they would leave the island indiscriminately. Whatever those who set the fires had in mind, they can forget it,” he said.

    The comments come after Greek Migration Minister Notis Mitarachi also blamed asylum seekers for the fires and Greek media reported that migrants had attacked firefighters.

    Outside of Greece, 20 leftist members of the European Parliament have called on European Union member states to take in migrants from Moria.

    “Now is the time for the EU to show stronger and practical solidarity in the management of the refugee crisis, supporting Greece and refugees,” the MEPs said.”

    “Female Swedish Islamic State members have been arrested on the Turkish border after escaping a prison camp for ISIS detainees in northern Syria.

    Several Swedish Islamic State women, along with their children, have left for Turkey in recent weeks after managing to escape from prison camps in the northern part of Syria which is currently under Kurdish militia control.

    According to a report from Swedish broadcaster SVT, at least two Swedish nationals are thought to be in Turkish custody after trying to cross the border with their children.

    Swedish officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the broadcaster that they were aware that the women and their children were in Turkish jails but refused to go into detail.

    “We know that there are reports that a few women and accompanying children are in the Syrian-Turkish border areas. We are monitoring this,” they said.

    “A number of people have returned to Sweden in recent years after being in Syria. Swedish authorities, including the police and social services, are well prepared to respond to these individuals upon their return,” the ministry added.

    Sweden has investigated some returning Islamic State members for war crimes in recent months, opening ten investigations into ISIS members in January.

    “I think I have indications of participation in the Islamic State and that means I have a reasonable reason to suspect a crime. It can possibly be anything from participation in combat to civil action, participation in the slave trade or similar situations that occurred there,” prosecutor Thomas Ahlstrand had said.

    Around half of the Swedish Islamic state members at the al-Hol prison in northern Syria are said to come from Somali backgrounds. Earlier this year, Somalian President Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed offered to allow the women and their children to go to Somalia if Sweden refused to take them back.

    While Islamic State has largely been destroyed, Marine General Kenneth McKenzie, head of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), said last month that the Syrian prison camps could become the base for a resurgence.”

    “Italy has set its sights on Muslim tourism in its bid to reignite flagging travel, launching an ambitious “Italy Muslim Friendly” project to lure more followers of Islam into the Bel Paese.

    “Italy Muslim Friendly is an innovative project for Muslim Tourism that includes a large network of companies operating in this sector and this tourist industry,” declares the official website for the campaign. “Associations and companies with Muslim inclination will support this project.”

    On August 24, the governor of Italy’s southern region of Puglia, Michele Emiliano, announced that he would be prioritizing Muslim tourism, taking pains to accommodate the special requirements and needs that Muslims present.

    The Puglia region has drafted a budget of 90 thousand euros for the project, to be used between October 1 and November 18, 2020. The plan will take into account “the particular needs of Muslim tourists, who, according to recent research in the sector, are constantly growing numerically, as well as having peculiarities that also make them qualitatively very interesting for the Apulian territory.”

    Critics of the project have suggested that catering to Muslim tourism will involve covering up Christian symbols and artistic works deemed inappropriate.

    Giorgia Meloni, leader of the Fratelli d’Italia Party, said that becoming Muslim friendly involves “removing Christian symbols” as well as separate swimming pools for men and women, prudishly dressed hotel and restaurant staff, and a series of other “embarrassing rules,” insisting that public funds should not be utilized “to Islamize us.”

    In 2016, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi had a series of nude statues at Rome’s Capitoline Museum completely covered for the visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, out of respect for Muslim sensibilities.

    Immense white wooden boxes were placed around the offending statues to shield them from the eyes of President Rouhani and the Iranian media train that followed his trip to Italy.

    Later, at a banquet held in Rouhani’s honor, no wine was served at table to anyone, out of respect for the Muslim rule of abstinence.

    The Italy Muslim Friendly project notes that the Global Muslim Travel Index for 2020 reports that there were 140 million Muslim tourists in the world in 2018 and that by the year 2026 the projected revenues from Muslim travel will be 300 billion dollars.

    The website also cites the Pew Research Center, declaring that the global Muslim population of 1.8 billion people constitutes “a gigantic market in continual expansion.”

    More specifically, Saudi Arabian tourists spend more per capita than any other nationality, the website notes approvingly, disbursing from 10,000 to 100,000 euros on travel per year.”

    “Populist Italian Senator Matteo Salvini was the victim of a physical attack, reportedly by a politically left-wing migrant during a campaign event ahead of the regional elections in the traditional leftist stronghold of Tuscany.

    The attack took place in the commune of Pontassieve on Wednesday, with the woman tearing at the League leader’s shirt and his rosary.

    Guglielmo Picchi, former deputy minister of foreign affairs, labelled the attacker as an Antifa militant. He said: “Salvini was attacked in Pontassieve by a mobster anti-fascist militant who ripped at his shirt and rosary. The true Democrat [Party].”

    According to a report from newspaper Il Giornale, the attacker is a 30-year-old migrant from the Congo. Witnesses added that she is employed by the local government and was on her way back from work when she attacked Salvini.

    Salvini commented on the attack later in the day, saying: “I can buy a new shirt. But the rosary ripped violently from my neck — that had been given to me by a parish priest — unfortunately not.”

    “To this anger, I answer with a smile and with my work. Long live the Italy of women and men who believe in freedom, serenity, and work,” he said. He added that he felt sad for the woman who attacked him, rather than angry.

    When asked what he thought would be the result of the seven upcoming regional elections this month, Salvini said: “Is 7-0 for regionals an exaggeration? No, I feel like there’s a desire for change.”

    Salvini’s centre-right coalition candidates are ahead in many regions in recent polls, including some that have been leftist strongholds for decades.

    The former interior minister, who led a campaign against mass migration and migrant transport NGOs, has been the target of threats from Antifa militants for years, including death threats.

    In 2018, leftist militants at the University of Bologna put up posters advocating for the assassination of Salvini. Last year, an unknown person sent the League leader a bullet in the post.”

    “A Somali police officer says a suicide bomber attacked a mosque in the southern port city of Kismayo as Friday prayers ended, killing two people.

    Sahal Nur told The Associated Press that the bomber detonated his explosives belt near the gate of the mosque as worshippers were leaving after prayers. Six people were hurt, he said.

    Abdinasir Ali, a local official, said the bomber appeared to be targeting the head of the regional chamber of commerce, who was wounded.

    There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. However, the al-Qaida-linked al-Shabab group often carries out such attacks.

    Attacks on mosques are uncommon in Somalia.”

      Locals from Lesbos protested against the Moria camp from being rebuilt and prevented heavy machinery from entering the site which was damaged in a series of fires over the past week.

      According reports, locals were also preventing them from getting aid to the migrants.

      A blaze that gutted the Moria camp was started by asylum seekers staying there, said the Greek Migration Minister.

    “Four men aged 19 to 23 have been arrested in southern Italy in connection with the rape of two British girls, police say.

    Police said the girls called officers at 03:30 on Tuesday, 8 September and said they were attacked by a group of men just after midnight.

    The alleged incident happened in Marconia di Pisticci during a party in a villa. The girls went to hospital.

    There was “extreme brutality and cruelty” in the attack, officers said.

    Four other men are also being investigated by officers in connection with the incident.

    Police said the girls say they were initially approached by two of the men under investigation, whom they did not know.

    They were then approached by other men at the party who “took advantage” of the fact the girls had been drinking, the statement said.”

      “It is further alleged that Mr. Grewal solicited loans for his own personal benefit in connection with the use of his public office, and that he administered his government-funded constituency office budget for his own personal benefit, under circumstances which constituted a criminal fraud or breach of trust,” says a media release from the RCMP’s national division.

      Grewal faces four counts of breach of trust and one count of fraud over $5,000 under the Criminal Code.

    The time for asking permission is over. Waiting for approval has to be a thing of the past.

    It’s a way of thinking that has served me well in recent weeks breaking back into the USA and beginning a rolling speaking tour across the States. My mission is to support Donald J. Trump. But I have been taught by my audiences that there is something far more important to do. My mission is to gather people together and remind ourselves who we really are. And we are the side of love, laughter and light.

    The things I am learning along the way have given me a burning new faith and optimism which perhaps can only be gleaned by being amongst people and by defying the very rules that seek to keep us apart.

    Brits are currently banned from the USA – even those with visas. It is not a Muslim ban (although my country will be a Muslim majority in twenty years). It is a corona ban, on the basis that inflated British COVID death rates made the British Isles appear as the epicenter of some infernal plague. We have ‘The Science’ to thank for that.

    “A member of the Swedish Parliament has nominated the United States under President Donald Trump for a second Nobel Prize in honor of work in Kosovo and Serbia.

    The nomination was announced by Magnus Jacobson a member of the Swedish Parliament for the Christian Democrats party.

    “I have nominated the US Gov. and the governments of Kosovo and Serbia for the Nobel Peace Prize for their joint work for peace and economic development, through the cooperation agreement signed in the White House,” he wrote in English on Twitter. “Trade and communications are important building blocks for peace.”

    Jacobson shared his official letter nominating the president for the honor.

    Heads of State or political figures can nominate individuals for the prize as well as foreign policy institutions and past winners of the Nobel prize.

    A five-person Nobel Committee appointed by the Norwegian Parliament chooses the winner from the submitted nominations.

    The news was celebrated by former Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell, who helped shepherd the economic normalization agreement as a special envoy between the two countries.

    “Donald Trump nominated for a SECOND Nobel Peace Prize for historic Kosovo-Serbia Agreement,” Grenell wrote.

    On Wednesday, Norwegian politician Christian Tybring-Gjedde also nominated Trump for his work in facilitating a peace deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates, as Breitbart News reported.

    “For his merit, I think he has done more trying to create peace between nations than most other peace prize nominees,” he said in an interview on Fox News.

    “This is a hard-earned and well-deserved honor for this president,” White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said on Wednesday. “Career politicians merely talk about the kind of results that this president has achieved on the world stage.”

    In 2018, Tybring-Gjedde also nominated Trump for the Nobel prize for his work to bring peace between North and South Korea.”
