Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

  1. “President Obama’s Hands are Dirty. They Are Beyond Dirty. He Has Judicial Blood On His Hands.” – Former US Attorney Joe diGenova

Former US Attorney Joe diGenova was again on the Monday morning radio show – Mornings on the Mall and he dropped some shocking statements about former President Obama and his Administration.

This week he was interviewed by Mary Walter and Tony Schaffer, who appeared as a guest host.

Right after the 3:10 mark, diGenova says the following:

    • He is another one who thinks that Former Presidents and VPs shouldn’t be charged for their crimes, instead they should be called out and let history judge them. Bull, if they aren’t charged we will have set the precedent that Presidents are above the law. Once this precedent is set the next time a liberal Dem is elected President it will take an armed rebellion to remove them from office.

    • CCP is looking for signs of weakness. Any prosecution needs to value MAGA, either by exoneration or prosecution. Maybe could volunteer to return to Indonesia to create a library or foundation as a golden parachute.

Questions Arise About Cuomo’s Nursing Home Policy

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s national profile has risen dramatically during the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), partially from glowing coverage courtesy of the mainstream media. Articles and televised segments portray the ascending Democrat as a tireless advocate for overwhelmed hospitals, ensuring they receive the equipment and supplies New York City’s integrated health care system desperately needs.

While pundits prepare to anoint Governor Cuomo as the Democratic Party’s newest savior, inconvenient questions have arisen about his commitment to helping New York’s beleaguered nursing homes. (RELATED: Former CDC Chief Claims Cuomo Could’ve Prevented 50-80% of N.Y. Deaths)

Outbreaks in elderly care have played out with tragic predictability. The New York Times has linked one-third of deaths nationwide to long-term care facilities.

Yet despite the loss of more than 25,600 Americans in these facilities — including 5,300 in New York — it took Cuomo until Mother’s Day to reverse a decision requiring long-term care facilities to accept patients regardless of their COVID-19 status. NBC News furt

  3. Nancy Pelosi Drafts $750 Billion State Bailout Bill, Republicans Not Invited To Collaborate

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is reportedly drafting a multi-trillion dollar coronavirus aid package that includes a $750 billion bailout for states and municipalities affected by the novel coronavirus — and Republicans are not being asked to consult.

The aid package, which would be the fourth coronavirus aid package issued in just under three months — only weeks after the $2.2 trillion CARES Act — is focused on providing what Democrats believe are “much needed” funds to states and cities laboring under massive debt, according to the Wall Street Journal, but Republicans caution that federal legislators might be trying to bail out their suffering state colleagues, many of whom are trying to erase debt that long predates the coronavirus pandemic

The Chinese regime announced a new cluster outbreak of the CCP virus in Wuhan on May 11, the first official indication of a severe outbreak in the epicenter since authorities ended lockdown measures in early April.

Locals reported that the current outbreak in Wuhan is more severe than how authorities have portrayed it.

A mother also began petitioning authorities, hoping to seek justice for the death of her daughter due to the virus.

The CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus, first broke out in Wuhan city, the capital of Hubei Province in late 2019.

As authorities have underreported virus data, it is difficult to know the true scale of the outbreak in Wuhan.

But on May 11, China’s National Health Commission announced 10 new domestic diagnostic cases in the country, with five of them in Wuhan, and the others in northeastern Chinese provinces.

An outspoken Chinese constitutional scholar was detained overnight after he publicized a letter to the regime’s rubber-stamp legislature that criticized the one-party political system and proposed a transition toward a genuine democratic government.

Late on May 10, Zhang Xuezhong, 43, was taken from his Shanghai home by police, Chinese dissident Mo Zhixu said on his Facebook page. Officers arrived at Zhang’s house in three police cars and took him into custody, two of Zhang’s Shanghai-based friends told BBC Chinese.

“A court in the southern Italian city of Bari on Tuesday sentenced a 22-year-old Somali man to 104 months in prison for plotting a terrorist attack in the Vatican, national media have reported.

Mohsin Ibrahim Omar, also known as Yusuf, was convicted on international terrorism charges.

The man was arrested in Bari in December 2018 on suspicion of conducting terrorist activities. According to investigators, he was trained in an Islamist school in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.

In the past, the convict had links to Somali’s Al-Shabab extremist group that is affiliated with the Al-Qaeda* terror group. Al-Shabab is known, among other things, for kidnapping Silvia Romano, an Italian aid worker, in Kenya in November 2018. She was released last week.

Omar plotted to detonate a bomb at St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City during a Christmas mass that traditionally draws plenty of believers. The Italian intelligence agency believes that the man was in contact with a Somali cell of the Daesh* terror group.

  8. Ka’ba, black stone cleaned, perfumed five times a day
    https://saudigazette.com.sa/article/593001/SAUDI-ARABIA/Kaba-black-stone-cleanedperfumed-five-times-a-day

“ISLAM’s holiest site is being cleaned and perfumed, despite being virtually empty due to measures taken to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Saudi Arabia’s General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques.

Incense and bukhoor are being used on the Holy Ka’ba and its black stone, according to the presidency, which tweeted pictures of the process.

Prayer halls in the Grand Mosque are also being perfumed with bukhoor around the clock, while the black stone is rubbed with oud five times each day.

Oud, known in English as agarwood, originates from the barks of trees that only grow in parts of South East Asia.

For thousands of years, it has been used in the Middle East and Asia in the form of wooden incense chips, body oils, and fragrances, and has become synonymous with hospitality in the Arabian Peninsula.

The presidency also set up self-sterilization gates at the entrance of the Grand Mosque as part of measures to curb the outbreak.

  9. Conservative Party probe an attempt to ‘deflect’ attention from Islamophobia: MCB
    https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/islamophobia-uk-equality-watchdog-drops-tory-inquiry

“The Muslim Council of Britain (MCB) has branded an investigation into discrimination within the Conservative Party as a “facade” and an attempt to “deflect” attention from the “very real problem of Islamophobia”.

The MCB said on Tuesday that the Conservatives were attempting to “hide hundreds of incidences of Islamophobic bigotry” among party members, after the Tories set out details of their own probe, looking into discrimination over “religion or belief and significantly Islam” as well as how the party had responded.

The UK’s Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) ruled out launching its own investigation on Tuesday, saying that in light of the Conservative Party probe, it would not be “proportionate” to initiate one at this stage.

“If we are not satisfied with progress or how the investigation is conducted, we will review our decision and do not rule out the use of our legal powers,” it added.

But the terms were described as a “facade” by Harun Khan, the secretary-general of the MCB, who argued that the Tories’ investigation was too narrow when compared to the Labour Party’s inquiry into antisemitism.

Khan said the MCB was concerned about the inquiry’s limited focus in looking at the way in which complaints are handled, instead of looking at racism within the party.

He added that the Tories’ inquiry had been broadened from being about Islamophobia to include all discrimination, casting a shadow over the original purpose.

“We have previously described the Conservative Party’s attitude to Islamophobia as one of denial, dismissal and deceit,” Khan said.

“The publication of the terms of reference for its inquiry reflects that regrettable attitude. They are a facade to hide the hundreds of incidences of Islamophobic bigotry we have identified in its ranks.”

    ‘Toxic culture of racism’
Last month, the MCB submitted a dossier of more than 300 allegations of Islamophobia to the EHRC, including incidents involving elected officials from the Conservative Party and senior advisers working for Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Johnson has been heavily criticised for suggesting Muslim women wearing the burka look like “letter boxes”, while former Tory Party chairman Baroness Sayeeda Warsi has repeatedly criticised her own party for failings on Islamophobia.

Accusing the Tories of dismissing a “toxic culture of racism”, Khan continued: “In sum, it seems even today, the Conservative Party refuses to acknowledge that there can be bigotry and prejudice directed at Muslims.”

The MCB also took aim at the appointment of Professor Swaran Singh to lead the investigation, highlighting his writings in Spiked magazine, which it said is “well-known for its hostile views on Muslims”.

The EHRC is investigating the Labour Party for antisemitism following a series of complaints. It is due to report its findings later this year.”

  10. Facebook reports spike in takedowns of hate speech, terrorism
    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-facebook-enforcement/facebook-reports-spike-in-takedowns-of-hate-speech-terrorism-idUSKBN22O2TE

“The world’s biggest social media company removed about 4.7 million posts connected to hate organizations on its flagship app in the first quarter, up from 1.6 million in the 2019 fourth quarter. It also deleted 9.6 million posts containing hate speech, compared with 5.7 million in the prior period.

That marks a six-fold increase in hateful content removals since the second half of 2017, the earliest period for which Facebook discloses data.

The company also said it put warning labels on about 50 million pieces of content related to COVID-19, after taking the unusually aggressive step of banning harmful misinformation about the new coronavirus at the start of the pandemic.

“We have a good sense that these warning labels work. Ninety-five percent of the time that someone sees content with a label, they don’t click through to view that content,” Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg told reporters on a press call.

Facebook released the data as part of its fifth Community Standards Enforcement Report, which it introduced in 2018 along with more stringent decorum rules in response to a backlash over its lax approach to policing content on its platforms. These include Facebook’s Messenger and WhatApp mobile apps.

It expanded the report last year to include information about how it enforces rules on photo-sharing app Instagram and said on Tuesday it would begin releasing the data on a quarterly basis.

In a blog post announcing the report, Facebook highlighted improvements to its “proactive detection technology,” which uses artificial intelligence to detect violating content as it is posted and remove it before other users can see it.

“We’re now able to detect text embedded in images and videos in order to understand its full context, and we’ve built media matching technology to find content that’s identical or near-identical to photos, videos, text and even audio that we’ve already removed,” the statement said.

Improvements to that technology also enabled the proactive removal of more drug-related and sexually exploitative content, the company said.

With fewer moderators available during the pandemic, Facebook has relied more on automated tools to police content as conspiracy theories about the coronavirus have spread online.

On the call, Zuckerberg said contractors in some parts of the world were starting to return to their offices, but cautioned that the coronavirus adjustments were likely to have a heavier impact on the data in the second quarter.

Cindy Otis, a disinformation researcher and former CIA analyst, noted that coronavirus-related abuse likewise spiked in April, after the period covered in the report.

She urged Facebook to disclose how quickly it removes posts, a key indicator of the effectiveness of its systems, as it often appears to act only after content has gone viral and spread to other platforms.

“The pandemic has been the largest event in disinformation and misinformation history,” she said, “and that does not appear to show in their numbers they provide.””

“A Turkish military plane carrying medical supplies arrived in North Macedonia on May 12 to support the country’s battle against the coronavirus pandemic.

“Turkish Armed Forces aircraft carrying medical supplies for use against COVID-19 has arrived at the Republic of North Macedonia,” the Turkish Defense Ministry said on Twitter.

Earlier in the day, the aircraft left from the capital Ankara to carry medical equipment to North Macedonia and Albania.

“Turkish Armed Forces aircraft, carrying the medical supplies prepared at the direction of President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an by Turkish Red Crescent (K?z?lay) for use against the COVID-19 outbreak, took off from Ankara Etimesgut

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu last week said some two-thirds of the nations of the world requested medical supplies from Turkey to fight coronavirus, and nearly half of these requests were met.

The countries included the worst-hit ones such as the U.S., Italy, Spain, and the U.K., while Turkey remains the world’s third-largest provider of humanitarian aid during the pandemic.

North Macedonia has reported 1,664 cases and 91 deaths so far, according to data compiled by John Hopkins University in the U.S. In Albania, there are 872 cases of the virus, with 31 deaths.”

  13. Stop Turkish provocation- Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, France, UAE

“The foreign ministers of Egypt, Cyprus, Greece, France and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) issued a joint statement after a video conference meeting on May 11, 2020, stressing the ”strategic importance of strengthening and intensifying their political consultations” and praising ”the results of the meeting in Cairo on January 8, 2020 for the improvement of security and stability in the eastern Mediterranean, expressing their deepest concern for the current escalation and continuous provocative actions in the eastern Mediterranean” by Turkey.

The ministers who signed the note ”denounce Turkey’s ongoing illegal activities in the Cypriot exclusive economic zone and its territorial waters as they represent a clear violation of international law, as indicated by the United Nations Convention on maritime law. IT is the sixth attempt by Turkey in less than a year to illegally conduct drilling operations in Cyprus’ maritime zones”.

They condemned the ”escalation of Turkish violations of Greek national air space, also for flights on inhabited areas and territorial waters in violation of international law”.

Moreover, the ministers condemned ”the exploitation of civilians by Turkey in the attempt to illegally cross Greece’s land borders, as well as the constant support of illegal crossings of Greek maritime borders”. They urged ”Turkey to fully respect the sovereignty and the sovereign rights of all States in their maritime zones in the eastern Mediterranean” and stressed ”that the memorandum of agreement on the delimitation of maritime jurisdictional areas in the Mediterranean and the memorandum of agreement on security and military cooperation, signed in November 2019 by Turkey and Fayez El Sarraj, are respectively in violation of international law and the arms embargo of the United Nations in Libya and that both undermine regional stability. The ministers recalled that the protocol of agreement on the delimitation of maritime jurisdictions in the Mediterranean Sea violates sovereign rights of third countries, does not abide by maritime law and cannot produce juridical consequences for third countries”.

The ministers expressed deep concern for the escalation of hostilities in Libya and recalled a pledge to ”abstain from any foreign military intervention in Libya, as agreed in the conclusions of the berlin conference”.

In this respect, the ministers firmly condemned Turkey’s military interference in Libya and urged turkey to fully respect the arms embargo of the United Nations and stop the flow of foreign fighters from Syria to Libya”.

”These developments represent a threat for the stability of Libya’s neighbors in Africa and Europe”.

The ministers called on the ”Libyan sides to observe a trice during the holy month of Ramadan and stressed their engagement in working for a global political solution to the Libyan crisis under the auspices of the United Nations, and expressed their enthusiasm for the resumption of meetings of the three parts of the Berlin process (political, military and economic and financial).”

“ISIS terrorists ”have beheaded three youths and kidnapped three others from the tribe of the Terabin, one of Sinai’s largest” local sources said Tuesday.

The heads of the three victims ”were found on the main road”, the sources added, without providing further details but attributing the crime to the so-called Islamic State ‘Daesh’ terror group.

A low-intensity conflict has been ongoing over the past six years, mainly in the north-east of the Egyptian peninsula,a between security forces and the Egyptian branch of ISIS with a high number of victims from both sides. Local tribes are also targeted by terrorists when they cooperate with security forces, providing information. In 2015, ten men were beheaded and their murder was filmed. Earlier this month, 18 terrorists were killed in an operation carried out by Egyptian security forces in northern Sinai.

The killing took place two days after ten soldiers were ”killed or wounded” in a dynamite attack against a military vehicle near Bir al Abd, according to an official toll provided by military authorities.”

I looked at the WHO timeline for COVID 19 this morning and it states Dec. 31 a cluster of cases in Wuhan.

For many years I worked with and watched people from political parties who I thought were “trained seals”, planting the seed—not true but put it out there. A lie is still a lie.

The WHO says Dec.31 a cluster of cases in Wuhan.
