From the biochemical point of view it’s actually the Zinc which is doing the real job by interfering with the transcription of the RNAcode of the virus and thus stopping its multiplication- mechanism inside the cells. That is: if the Zinc ions get the necessary help to get inside of cells.
I am absolutely awstruck about how dumb the ”official” medical establishment is because in spite of there being abundant information available concerning this secondary role of Chloroquine (which is only needed to allow the ++charged Zinc ions to get inside of the infected cells) they keep stupidly discussing the potency of Chloroquine as an antiviral agent which it doesn’t have to be since its only a kind of helper (an ionophore) which allows the zinc to go where it can be effective. Quercetine seems to be another option instead of Zinc as ionophore.
For this reason both have to be given as early as possible in the treatment before the virus can trick the cells into making millions of copies of itself.
In case the lungs are already full of infected cells one has to give an antibiotic as well (Azithromycin) because pnemococci (bacteria) might take advantage of the sepsis there and cause a deadly pneumonia on top of the viral load plus the citokine-storm.

Every day for at least the last month I have scoured the internet for the latest news on hydroxychloroquine and I can assure you that somebody very powerful doesn’t want hydroxy to be used and is sparing no effort in making sure that the drug is thoroughly discredited and cannot save any more lives. Is it being done on purpose? You bet your ass it is. Somebody out there wants the “pandemic” to be as bad as possible – no doubt about it. They should be swimming in hydroxychloroquine not making it difficult to get and saying how dangerous it is all the time. For sure, a powerful entity wants the drug to fail and for Trump to be wrong and foolish… They would rather their own Grandmothers suffocate to death than for Donald Trump to ever get any credit for anything…
That is how it looks to me. During the last election it seemed to me that Hillary Clinton would happily nuke Kansas if she thought it would win her the election. That is where the left is now.
Its not about a different route to the best outcome anymore. For example, the planned debates between Kennedy and Goldwater. There were two men who as far as I can tell, wanted to debate each other over the best route to the best future for all Americans.
The current Democrat party wants the destruction of anything American just shy of longitude and latitude and that too if they could figure out how.
But with the total destruction of the Constitution, the culture and the people of the US, location won’t matter anymore anyway.
You are right, the current Dem leadership wants to destroy the US at any cost, In their opinion the US is the reason that Marxism is already controlling the world.

It’s used conventionally to dampen the overactive immune system in SLE and related disorders. It prevents the Wuhan virus from triggering the cytokine storm.
Other treatments for autoimmune diseases, like interferon beta and dexamethasone, are in trials around the world. This category represents a significant line of attack, at least as important as existing antivirals and those under development. (Big bucks are in antivirals like Remdesivir.)
We’d best learn all we can because we’re looking at a future wrecked by coronaviruses. That’s alongside influenza viruses, which will continue to plague us forever.

I have been worried about this, just as I have been worried that the virus won’t go dormate during the hot months, it may not be as active as during the Winter but it will remain active. The problems that Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia prove this.
How will THIS coronavirus behave?
• Will it trigger chronic autoimmune disorders like MS?
• Will it lurk like herpes virus? Where an individual’s flare-up presents the virus with an opportunity for another host?
• Will it serve to condition the immune system for troubles later in life, like chickenpox =>shingles?
How about the NEXT coronavirus?
It’s only a matter of time…
