1. No picnic: Man fined $880 says he was just taking a rest
Wasim Soufi says he stopped to take a call while his pregnant wife continued walking in city park
An Ottawa man handed a hefty fine for breaking physical distancing rules is disputing a bylaw officer’s claim that he was having a picnic in a city park, arguing he had only stopped to take a call while his pregnant wife continued walking.
Wasim Soufi, 35, said he and his wife, Rasha Haj Ali, 30, ventured to Strathcona Park in Sandy Hill on April 18 to go for a walk on the advice of Ali’s doctor.
Ali was due to give birth any day. The couple’s daughter, Julia Soufi, was born Friday.
“I was just forced to go outside because of my wife who needs to walk,” said Soufi, who arrived in Canada in November 2017 as a refugee from Syria.
Soufi said the trouble began when he received an international call on his mobile phone. As Ali continued walking, he sat on the grass — away from other pedestrians — to take the call.
“I just sat down for maybe one or two minutes,” he said.
(Read the whole article. Then imagine how CBC would have written this had he not been a Muslim Syrian “refugee”. Either way there is less than no excuse for fining him, even if he was having a picnic with his wife and baby. This is presumably the kind of oppression that made him leave Syria!)

My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed. I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.

5. Jose Atento: Brazilian Establishment tries to Overthrow Bolsonaro
The continuous effort of the Brazilian establishment to overthrow President Bolsonaro has reached its maximum level
by José Atento
Jair Bolsonaro was elected president of Brazil in November of 2018 because for most Brazilians he personified the opposition to many of the issues plaguing Brazil and Brazilians. First, the rampant corruption, notably from the leadership of the Labour Party (herein referred to as PT), which ruled Brazil for sixteen years.
Secondly, the precarious situation of the Brazilian economy. PT squandered the economy. When PT rose to power in early 2000s, Brazil was a leading member of the BRICS. When PT left power, Brazil was basically bankrupt. Socialists are good at squandering economies.
Bolsonaro is anti-establishment, and in Brazil the establishment is predominantly of the Left. Bolsonaro spoke the language of the people, who are mostly nationalistic and Christian, disagree with gender ideology, are against abortion, and oppose big government, i.e., are against the flags of the Left. 6. Email sent to CBC reporter, prior to publication of the slanderous COMINTERN hit piece on the Epoch Times coverage of the Wuhan Flu origins, specifically that it is from a Chinese bio-lab in Wuhan. But the best part is the comments under the CBC article. Canadians, not the few communist fellow travellers that the CBC refers to as Canadians, but actual people living in Canada with a Canadian culture, they aren’t buying it.

I’m heartened to see most comments are critical of this CBC article and the way it defends the legitimate criticism CCP. Disinformation and controlling the narrative is common with our national broadcaster and this is another example.

Many media organizations, including the CBC, just don’t get it. The CCP is an evil organization. They are seeking what’s best for themselves at the expense of everything and everyone else. Canada needs to look at them not as friends, but as adversaries – along the lines of Russia, North Korea, etc…

This article is quickly being buried and rightfully so. Please do not use the term ” Canadians ” when you are only talking about a handful of people that share your view

CBC needs to be investigated for writing such a blatantly pro Communist Party of China propaganda piece. Misinformation and misleading statements

I find Epoch to be one of the more objective, reliable sources of news. They don’t like the Chinese Communist Party, and they make that clear. By contrast, I find a lot of disinformation from Canadian main stream sources. I am also appalled that the CBC seems to think that postal workers should have to agree with the content if their deliveries. This article seems to be intended as a smear piece against Epoch Times.

I typed in CBC and got this article. I thought at first this was the China Broadcasting Corporation website.

Headline from the Epoch Times is: “How the Chinese Communist Party endangered the world”
Now tell me how ANYONE could interpret that as stirring hate or being r*cist? Absolutely ridiculous attempt to defend the CCP. The article should be criticized for pushing untrue claims not for questioning Beijing

The tittle claiming “Canadians upset” is extremely misleading. Perhaps “some Canadian” would be more appropriate. But the integrity of journalist has been in decline for too long now and sadly things just keep getting worst.

And yes, thank-you CBC for enlightening Canadians about this great publication.
Odd, but still,
Thanks.

Basically, this article is trying to convince us that criticism of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is the same as criticism of the Chinese people and even the same as racism against Chinese people. Suppose we believe it. The questions are
Is Criticism of the Iranian government is racism against Iranian people?
Is Criticism of the North Korean government is racism against Korean people? etc., etc.

Democracy is built on the right to question and the freedom to have different opinions even if you don’t agree with them. We should never fear or worse try and squash anybody’s opinions. If they are completely false we have to have faith the truth will prevail and it will but it only happens when we are willing to explore all the possibilities.
Instant claims of rac… is cowardly defence.

The charge of racism has been so overused and abused as to render the term meaningless.
And the charge of being inflammatory?
Don’t make me laugh.

https://www.foxnews.com/science/fauci-says-experimental-coronavirus-treatment-remdesivir-could-shorten-covid-19-recovery-time
So how come there hasn’t been one single “study” talked about on the MSM about hydroxychloroquine and now this first “real placebo study” gives a tiny edge to remdesivir – all one week after the phony VA “study” that found hydroxy actually made you worse.
I’ve been combing the internet for weeks now and the news outlets do nothing but cast shade and doubt and ridicule on the drug as they trumpet how dangerous the side-effects are and how completely un-tested it is and how many malaria patients are going to die when hydroxychloroquine is hoarded and becomes unavailable for its normal users. Saying a good thing about the drug or pointing out that Turkey is using it to great effect is the same as wearing a little red baseball hat with “Make America Great Again” written on it and none of these people want their social and professional lives to disintegrate over political incorrectness…
God knows how many people have died because of this conspiracy of lies, deception, and terrible malfeasance. This is exactly how “groupthink” happens…
The idea that the ordinary people may wake up and start fighting back never occurs to the left until it is to late to stop the revolt. The left has also set things up so any revolt won’t occur until the ordinary people are ready for drum head trials and quick executions, of course some time the hold the hanging before the trial.
I will believe “The Black Hole” isn’t persecuting the Jews and Christians when he starts shutting down Mosques.
“Black Hole” is alpha-hotel?
De Blasio is despicable, incites to pogrom like Al Sharpton.
{spit}6 – Many stupid Canadians living among us. When you look at the Leger Poll, 60% want mandatory vaccine and some 45% want tech monitoring of those possibly infected or infected.
I figure most of these people live in big crowded cities such as Greater Toronto and Montreal areas. But the poll was taken nationwide. Thus, I think the Atlantic provinces and British Columbia are on board also.
That said, I know quite a few people. And most don’t know what to think although some do feel something is wrong once you inform them. Almost all of them rarely go into their social media accounts. They have a computer but they don’t use it. Much easier to listen to T.V. and read newspapers. Total lack of critical thinking.
Examples of ‘dumb’: People come to me to fill out website forms.
1. They enter their phone number with a dash or a space. Entry refused. They never figured out that no spaces between numbers might be the key.
2. Two days ago, a friend wanted to book a clinic blood sample appointment online. She tried, nothing worked. So, I found out she wanted a particular day and time, that never works. So, I filled out the form for her at the clinic’s earliest convenience.
When I finished, the entry wasn’t valid. So, I went back and discovered the time had been booked by someone else online while I was filling out the form. She finally got her booking but she would never have thought of going back to discover what had happened.
How many Canadians are of that level of stupidity or lack of critical thinking? Many that can’t think one step behind and one step forward. And they all read the newspapers and listen to CBC or whatever of the same.
I have an uncle, Sassy, who is a mathematics and philosophy prof, yet he does not understand how money or business work at all. What comes naturally to some can be a chore, or beyond the ability of, others. I have a friend who can tear down and reassemble a sports car with his eyes closed, but he cannot see his way out of a lifetime of self-induced debt. The human mind is a weird and wonderful thing, and where it falls short here, it may surprise you there. My only real intolerance is where a person rents their conscience to the higher power of Islam or communism for the price of their own body and soul. Not only is this truly stupid, but it is sinfully lazy, as well.
