Politicized senior intelligence officers, politicized intelligence, intelligence failures, and restructuring of US intelligence. All these topics are of tremendous importance to US national security. Recently I have written on how US intelligence is trying to confirm whether the Wuhan Coronavirus (COVID-19) leaked from a Chinese lab, but it has been slowed, in part, by the CIA’s ‘decimated’ clandestine intelligence networks in China. Yet, while US intelligence is facing many challenges abroad, the challenges within might be the most serious.
One retired 25-year veteran CIA officer is leading the fight to fix and reform US intelligence. Brad Johnson spent his entire CIA career fighting America’s enemies in the shadows, but after retiring he has a new mission — to depoliticize, rebuild and reform US intelligence.
To fulfill his new mission, Johnson — who retired as a Senior Operations Officer with the CIA’s Directorate of Operations and was Chief of Station (COS) at various US embassies — founded Americans for Intelligence Reform. As Johnson writes in American Military News (AMN):

Online, he was known as HeilHitler8814, the so-called “commander” of a neo-Nazi group with plans to bomb CNN and attack a U.S. synagogue in hopes of starting a race war.
In real life, he was a 13-year-old keyboard warrior flirting with racism and terrorism from his parents’ home in Estonia, according to officials and reports from the tiny eastern European country.
The Estonian Internal Security Service (EISS) says it struck a damaging blow to an international hate group called the Feuerkrieg Division earlier this year when it showed up at the kid’s house and told his parents what he’d been up to.
Authorities couldn’t charge the boy because he was too young, but they worked with his parents to get him to “suspend” his activities with the hate group, according to Harrys Puusepp, a spokesperson for the EISS.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says that posts and pages attempting to organize protests against stay-at-home orders will be banned as “misinformation.”
The Facebook CEO confirmed that the posts would be banned to ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on a segment of Good Morning America.
Stephanopoulos asked Zuckerberg how the company deals “with the fact that Facebook is now being used to organize a lot of these protests to defy social distancing guidelines in states. If somebody trying to organize something like that, does that qualify as harmful misinformation?”
“We do classify that as harmful misinformation and we take that down,” confirmed Zuckerberg, while at the same time saying that it’s important “that people can debate policies.”
A Facebook spokesman confirmed to CNN that planned protests in California, New Jersey, and Nebraska were having their pages removed from Facebook at the request of state authorities.
