1. Yes, the model DID account for lockdowns
2. On academia bias and public health worker bias
(I’m losing count of the number of treatments there are now. And did Boris Johnson get Hydroxylchloroquine?)
A British-based pharmaceutical giant has revealed plans to trial a blood cancer drug on severely ill coronavirus patients after it showed promise in the US.
AstraZeneca said there was anecdotal evidence of Calquence improving the condition of ventilated and intensive care patients.
The leukaemia drug, said to work by suppressing the virus and preventing it from scarring the lungs, will now be rushed into a large clinical trial of 400 patients.
Calquence, which is available on prescription on the NHS, was given to a small number of COVID-19 patients at the Walter Reed General Hospital in Washington.
4. China McDonald’s apologises for Guangzhou ban on black people

McDonald’s in China has apologised after a branch in the industrial city of Guangzhou barred black people from entering.
A video shared on social media showed a notice that read: “We’ve been informed that from now on black people are not allowed to enter the restaurant.”
McDonald’s said that when it found out about the notice it temporarily closed the restaurant.
Tensions have been running high between Africans and local people in the city.
Last week, hundreds of Africans in Guangzhou were evicted from hotels and apartments after online rumours that coronavirus was spreading among African people, community leaders told the BBC.
Guangzhou is a hub for African traders buying and selling goods and is home to one of China’s largest African communities.
5. Trudeau government needs to stop taking COVID orders from WHO
Some days it really does feel like Canada has farmed out its entire health policy during this COVID-19 crisis to the World Health Organization.
From the early days, answers to questions on testing, on the spread of the virus, on approving treatments or even rapid testing, have been to cite what the WHO recommends.
That is nothing short of a dereliction of duty by Canada’s top health officials.
The latest example is the decision of Health Canada not to approve a cheap and rapid test for COVID-19, one made right here in Canada, because of what the WHO says. BTNX Inc. of Markham, Ont. makes a test that can have results in 15 minutes and costs just $10 a piece.
6. We already know that Trudeau feels that his and our rules are for others, not for him. But that doesn’t mean we should not track the times he breaks laws, rules, or is a hypocrite.
7. Youtube’s galloping dialectic negation of all things not Neo-Marxist
(Our channel with hundreds of thousands of subs and tens of millions of views was deleted in a very similar manner)
8. Canada in worse shape than Oz in terms of Chinese influence
‘When I look at the subtle but intense influence of China on Canadian institutions … it makes me deadly worried,’ says Clive Hamilton

GENEVA, April 2, 2020 — China was appointed on Wednesday to a United Nations Human Rights Council panel where it will play a key role in picking the world body’s human rights investigators — including global monitors on freedom of speech, health, enforced disappearances, and arbitrary detention — in a move that has sparked protest by international human rights activists.
“Allowing China’s oppressive and inhumane regime to choose the world investigators on freedom of speech, arbitrary detention and enforced disappearances is like making a pyromaniac into the town fire chief,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights organization based in Geneva that closely monitors the 47-nation UN Human Rights Council, and a leader in speaking out at the UN for victims in China.
“It’s absurd and immoral for the UN to allow China’s oppressive government a key role in selecting officials who shape international human rights standards and report on violations worldwide,” said Neuer.
China’s appointment to the UNHRC’s influential Consultative Group, comprised of only five nations, was announced in a letter submitted to the UNHRC on Wednesday by Oman on behalf of the Asian Group, and confirmed by a notice on the website of the UN human rights office.
By joining the UNHRC panel, China will be able to influence the selection of at least 17 UN human rights mandate-holders over the next year, known as special procedures, who investigate, monitor, and publicly report on either specific country situations, or on thematic issues in all parts of the world, such as freedom of speech and religion.
10. Palestinian journalist thinks Corona will sink the US and let China take over. Which he says, cannot be worse than the US. Maybe someone should ask the Uyghurs.
11. Oh yeah about China, the US and news:

6,8- We must remain obediently in lockdown until our savings are exhausted, we lose our house, our job and our minds. Oh, right, you can work from home. Tell this to the half of the population that cannot. And no, Dystopians may NOT go to their cottages which, especially in the eastern part of the country, is very much a part of the culture. Never mind that Dear Leader went by motorcade to his taxpayer-funded retreat across the Quebec border. “Do as I say, not as I do,” is the clear message here. The cops on the bridge literally blew him kisses as he blew past, I’m sure.
Reading all of the government-generated subsidy forms over the last week, the picture is becoming clearer. Small business is screwed. Everyone is screwed. I’m sorry I can’t be more positive. Be careful what you take from this government, friends. President Trump has seen his gopher and spring is going to open up the U.S. economy, folks. The Great White North gets up to 18 more months of winter, if you believe what’s shovelled to you. At least this is what Dear Leader told us.
If you are an employee you will be taxed on every penny you take. If you are a small business you will expose yourself as a “red flag” worthy of an audit from the Canadian Revenue Agency (our IRS). You will not be taken prisoner.
The already fashionable and trite “stay safe” mantra has greater meaning for Dystopians. (Sounds like something out of a futuristic dystopian movie, spoken by automatons dressed in white 70’s pant suits, with Charleton Heston yelling “Damn!” like only he could.) It means don’t fall for Dear Leader’s handouts unless you are desperate. You will be his debt slave, with no ’70’s movie nirvana drug to get you through it.
I’d rather owe Vito Corleone a million bucks than owe this shitty little man a nickel. The man who wants to be is infinitely more dangerous than the man who already is.

P.S.- At least the last man on Earth got to drive a real car and have an automatic weapon. I get a gay face mask my daughter sewed me, and she’s the one who called it gay.
