Turkish special forces FIRED SHOTS at Greek forces last night, and Wuhan Flu, is it the Orson Wells martian invasion? Or Really the Martian invasion?

A lot of this post will be on the Wuhan Flu. NO matter how serious it is, or is not, its secondary effects are approaching catastrophic. The opportunity for mass power grabs by states is high as is the likelihood of them. Italy may be an example. Note Conte wants to avoid an election at all costs as Salvini will be in like a King should there be one. And I mean a popular king like Henry V. Not your average King like, I dunno, Richard the III or something. Depending on who you read.

1. $50K bounty issued for B.C. man accused of kidnapping, sex trafficking

Police have announced a $50,000 reward for a Surrey man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant.

Surrey RCMP announced the cash reward, which is in partnership with the Bolo Program and Crime Stoppers, for the arrest of Meaz Nour-Eldin on Tuesday.

“There’s nowhere to go. We will apprehend you sooner or later. So just do the right thing, call a lawyer and turn yourself in,” said Surrey RCMP Insp. Cliff Chastellaine.

Nour-Eldin is wanted for his alleged role in a July 4, 2019 kidnapping in Surrey.

The victim was located the next day, and three of Nour-Eldin’s alleged co-conspirators were later arrested on charges of kidnapping, unlawful confinement, aggravated assault, robbery and firearms offences.

2. Liberals introduce bill to OUTLAW “conversion therapy” for children and non-contenting adults nation wide.

(The National Post article is linked above. But it should be known that there is a very different version of how this law will be applied. This will be in Coughlin terms, a massive effort in dialectic clicks to the left, or in our terms, something to be massively selectively enforced such as that if a child is talked into thinking they are somehow in the wrong body, it will be illegal to talk sense into them. We see the effects of this law in advance with the BC dad case, where Laura Lynn Thompson was in court again TODAY for the xteenth time for interviewing the father and allowing him to speak his views on the sterilization and mutilation of his daughter. We most certainly will do an interview with some of the principle people on this law soon)

3. 27 killed by alcohol poisoning in Iran trying to protect themselves from coronavirus

At least 27 people have died from alcohol poisoning in the Khuzestan and Alborz provinces of Iran trying to prevent infection of the coronavirus, Iranian news agencies reported on Monday.

“Some of the citizens of Ahwaz had heard that drinking alcohol could help them fight the coronavirus, so they used it as a preventive measure,” said Ali Ehsanpour, spokesman of Ahwaz University of Medical Sciences, according to the Mehr News Agency.

With the outbreak of Covid-19 in Iran, rumors and unscientific treatments on how to fight the virus have spread on social media. Among them was drinking alcohol.

4. Paris: Fake Police Using Anti-Burqa Laws to ‘Fine’ Chinese Students Wearing Masks

The Chinese embassy in Paris has lodged complaints, stating that Chinese nationals have been scammed with fake fines by fraudsters pretending to be enforcing Islamic veil laws on those wearing masks.

The embassy claimed that Chinese students wearing medical masks were asked to hand over 150 euros by “police” who they later confirmed with officials in the Paris police were criminals pretending to be officers.

“After checking with the French police and justice, these are criminals posing as police. Wearing a mask for health reasons is absolutely not illegal,” the embassy said in an official statement, Le Parisienreports.

(This appears to be crime and as such, not of interest to this site as a rule. But as it is a curious crime taking advantage of laws that do concern us, here it is. Probably best if governments disallow people to pay fines directly to law enforcement period and make that known. Many problems solved at once that way)

5. Coronavirus: State of Emergency Ordered by Gov’t

The government has ordered a state of emergency in connection with protective measures against the new coronavirus, Gergely Gulyás, the head of the Prime Minister’s Office, said on Wednesday.

Gulyás said the government had made its decision in line with a proposal by the interior minister and the operative board. On Wednesday morning, Hungary’s operative board responsible for coordinating the response to the new coronavirus outbreak has proposed that the Hungarian government order a state of emergency.

The PMO Head said that people spreading rumours or violating quarantine rules would be prosecuted.

Any documents that are to expire in the near future will remain valid during the state of emergency, he added.

All measures will remain valid until further notice, Gulyás said.

Hungary shuts borders to visitors from Italy, China, South Korea, Iran

The government has ordered a ban on travellers from Italy, China, South Korea and Iran, except for Hungarian citizens arriving from those locations who will have to stay in isolation at home for two weeks after arrival.

8. CHILLING: Merkel Says 60% To 70% Of German Population Will Be Infected With Coronavirus

“When the virus is out there, the population has no immunity and no therapy exists, then 60 to 70% of the population will be infected,” says the German Chancellor.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has issued a chilling warning.

She says 60% to 70% of the German population will become infected with Coronavirus.

“When the virus is out there, the population has no immunity and no therapy exists, then 60 to 70% of the population will be infected,” said Merkel at a news conference. […]

Assuming a 2% death rate (it’s been closer to 3%), that would mean 984,000 deaths.

If 70% get Coronavirus in Germany, that would mean 57.4 million infections. If 3% died, that would mean 1.7 million deaths.

(May Merkel lead by example)

10. California Throws The Books At Undercover Reporter Who Exposed Baby Body Trafficking

An undercover reporter has been arraigned in California and charged with ten felonies for secretly recording conversations, and it’s time to revisit how the judiciary and the law can stifle the First Amendment’s guarantee of freedom of the press.

The accused, David Daleiden, used standard media undercover techniques to investigate and expose Planned Parenthood’s sale of aborted fetus body parts. While the use of undercover techniques like Daleiden’s is a controversial practice even within journalism circles, Daleiden’s upcoming jury trial has far wider implications for journalists.

(Some whistleblowers are more equal than others)

Thank you M., Wrath of Khan, EW., EB., Snaphanen.DK., Coram Deo, Xanthippa, PC and all of you. Thank you so much, perhaps especially this week, not just because of the increasing severity of the news, but because this week has been difficult in terms of finding time to find and post materials. There is much more to come.

On the title, the vast majority of the news on the Wuhan Flu seems to be news about reactions to it. Essentially its like reporters on the side of the road, watching people flee Grover’s Mill during Orson Well’s 1938 broadcast of War of the Worlds.

In other words, the damage and panic was real but in that case, the Martian invasion was not. In this case, the Wuhan Flu is certainly real, but trying to know where to place the bar between understanding the consequences of the fear of it, Vs. what the Wuhan Flu really represents as a danger, is deeply frustrating.

In Ottawa, a company was shut down and all employees are asked to quarantine at home due to one person. This is due to an abundance of caution and clearly the right thing to do. But then, if this is just the same as any other flu that goes around every year, and from what one doctor 30 years ago told me, pretty much all start in the Far East, then the real damage is from our own actions in fear of this thing.

None of this is to provide an answer at all or suggest an alternate course of action. Seriously it isn’t. But to apply a healthy skepticism, and not cynicism or full acceptance of the information provided to us, as circumstances like this clearly allow governments to take drastic measures which often mean power grabs that remain well after the “crisis” has passed and often until a people’s revolution wins those rights back.

Good luck to us all.

  1. 5 & 6 – Were the shots fired because of the flooding or was the flooding because of the shots? Either way it is probably just the first of many exchanges of shots, between Turkey and European nations.

What I find interesting is that this is occurring during a time when Turkey is facing off against Russia and using NATO as an unspoken threat to keep Russia from going on full war mode in the air attacks. Shots being fired across the border into Greece is excuse enough for the more independent minded European Nations to avoid coming to Turkey’s aid in a fight with Russia.

  2. The Wuhan virus Martian invasion, if Brad Johnson is right about the virus being designed to kill mainly Far Eastern Asians and from what is happening in Iran Middle Easterners the 3% death rate may help clear a lot of the invaders out of Europe.

Brad Johnson’s statement say that he is thinking the Wuhan Virus is a modified SARS virus and given the infection and death rates coming our of Iran MERS added to the SARS virus ethnic Europeans whould have a much lower infection and death rate. Of course I could be wrong in what I am reading form the limited information I have access to.

      • Italians or Islamic Invaders in Italy? Either way it is bad.

The higher rate may be why PT has shut down flights from and to Europe.

  3. This is what the current Minister of Justice and Attorney General says, but one day he will be gone and the law will remain. So it depends what the law actually says, because we’ve heard all this before:

If it’s made legal, abortion will be safe and rare.
What does it matter to you if two people who love one another get married, it won’t affect your marriage?
Why would you want to stop someone being helped by a Doctor to end their life, when they’re in a lot of pain? That’s cruel, we don’t treat animals that way…..

Now abortion is considered a right. How many millions of babies have been aborted since it became legal? Now many young women see babies and marriage as an obstacle to their success in life and the West is dying. And many women are pressured into an abortion by boyfriends, partners and families. Many suffer for it later, psychologically and physically. because abortion isn’t treating a disease, it’s interfering with a natural process.

Now it’s considered discriminatory to use the words father, mother, wife, husband (except it seems by gays in the media and in Hollywood). We now have parent 1 and parent 2.
And we not only have to accept and tolerate, we have to approve.

Now the Government is planning to extend the access to euthanasia, it won’t be confined to people who are dying. Doctors who don’t agree with euthanasia are being pressured into doing it or referring people for euthanasia (same with abortion). Soon, as in other countries, euthanasia will be administered not only by Doctors, but nurse practitioners, and if the doctor is too busy, nurses. Perhaps it already is. How would we know?
How about the 42 year old man in BC with Lou Gehrig’s disease, who’s funding for home care was withdrawn and he was offered euthanasia instead? He didn’t want to die, he had an 8 year old son. He asked for a review of his case, but received no answer from the health care department, so he signed the papers for euthanasia. He’s gone.

With this anti conversion therapy we already have laws to protect patients or clients from abusive counsellors. Except when it comes to a child. And that only works one way. The Minister is just plain wrong when he says that it will not come between parent and child. It’s already a problem, this law will just add weight to the activists.

It will still be good though to make note of his comments.

  4. I forgot perhaps the most important one about marriage,
Speak about or uphold traditional marriage and it will be called hate or hate speech and you can be taken before a court or a human rights tribunal, lose your job, or your business, you will be shamed and shunned.

So that what was once considered the norm is now not allowed to be spoken of in our topsy turvy world.

  5. There are several first-person, public Facebook posts by exhausted Italian medical doctors pleading with people in other countries to learn from Italy’s errors: Give up a couple of weeks of your life by avoiding crowds and gatherings because no health system has the number of respirators needed to save the number of those who will fall ill. That’s not the Martian invasion. That’s our own thick-headedness we’ve gotten because we have grown up without fear of illness, thanks to the wonders of immunization.
Does it really matter so much about the virus anymore? Can people work together to keep their fellow countryman out of harm’s way?
With luck, these efforts will have the welcome side effect of reducing the appalling death toll that we accept from the seasonal flu and from hospital/nursing home infection.
All we really have to pray for is that the virus follows the same pattern of every previous virus, running its course out in the Spring.
PT is right to plan as though this to be a temporary thing. But, just in case he’s wrong, buy more toilet paper!
