1. Antifa Blocks Major Commuter Rail Lines

(Please see this related post from 2017 where ANTIFA poured concrete on railway tracks to derail passenger trains and took credit till it got too hot)

Antifa activists protesting a proposed pipeline in Canada blocked major commuter rail lines in and near Toronto.

The disruptions took place on or near three separate commuter rail lines and forced disruptions. Some of the blockages ended quickly and others resulted in trains detouring to alternative routes.

 

The railway system services 200,000 people daily.

The group also set up an encampment at the Bayview Junction, which links Chicago to Toronto and shares tracks with freight trains, Amtrak, Via and GO Transit.

Announcements by Antifa say they intend to protest at the Bayview Junction “indefinitely,” as per the post written on their website:

2. Speaking of rail blockages by terrorists under a beard of BS, True North, another amazing Canadian news site, exposes that the “Indigenous” BC blockade leader is actually American.

An “indigenous” protester organizing blockades in British Columbia was exposed as an Am . erican by Global News. 

US-born Natalie Knight was a lead organizer in staging a blockade of BC Attorney General David Eby’s office on February 13. 

“We are indigenous people, we have lived on this land for a very long time,” Knight proclaimed.

(And of course, Canadian authorities release her without charges for other illegal occupations in Canada. If she can afford a PhD., she can afford a damn hotel.)

4. Canadian police arrest American journalist covering indigenous protest

[…] Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested American documentary filmmaker Melissa Cox on February 24 in New Hazelton, British Columbia, where Cox was filming Wet’suwet’en First Nation land defenders’ ongoing efforts to resist a gas pipeline from being constructed through their territory.

 

At the time of the arrest Cox was filming tribal chiefs and supporters blocking railroad tracks that run through New Hazelton as an act of solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en. She was wearing a press pass. During her arrest, the RCMP allegedly used excessive force, twisting Cox’s arm and tossing her camera on the ground. While police did not charge Cox, she is required to appear in court on April 24, when authorities will decide if they plan to file charges. Fourteen people were arrested during the Gitxsan’s solidarity protest that night.

5. Reddit Purges Moderators of Largest Pro-Trump Community ‘The Donald’

Several moderators of The Donald, Reddit’s largest pro-Trump community, have been purged by the site’s administrators, who aim to replace them with moderators approved by the San Francisco company. The Donald’s creators say this is the latest in Reddit’s “thousand cuts” campaign to kill off its massively successful pro-Trump community.

 

The Donald is one of largest and influential hubs of pro-Trump activity on the web, with over 790,000 subscribed Reddit users. In 2016, the community’s users were responsible for the creation and proliferation of numerous pro-Trump tropes and memes across the Internet, in what has colloquially become known as the “great meme war.”

(I have no idea how Reddit works. But assuming for a moment that it’s sort of like Facebook, then a person can create a group and moderate it himself. If this is the case, and Reddit has kicked out the creators and moderators of this group and placed its own people at the top of it, then its not just Soviet like information control to move the world ever leftwards, but its an order of magnitude of theft that rivals those pension fund embezzlers.)

6. There is a huge crowding of migrants near Odrin (close to the Bulgarian and Greek green border with Turkey). The army, gendermerie and border police are sent to the border. “It’s worrisome that the Turkish border policemen are stepping away”, said the Prime-Minister.

(It should be noted that Bulgarian news has been one of the very few sources of real news since Tanya T. brought it to our attention with a number of translations. One of the most interesting was how the CIA under Obama had been equipping and training and funding the Islamic State in its war with Syria.)

7. Thousands of riot police patrol Delhi overnight to prevent bloodbath between Muslim and Hindu gangs which has killed 33 people

Sporadic violence hit parts of Delhi overnight as gangs roamed streets littered with the debris of days of sectarian riots that have killed 33 people, police said Thursday.

Thousands of riot police and paramilitaries patrolled the affected northeast fringes of the Indian capital of 20 million people, preventing any major eruptions.

 

The unrest is the latest bout of violence over Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s citizenship law, which triggered months of demonstrations that turned deadly in December.

Sunil Kumar, director of the Guru Teg Bahadur (GTB) Hospital, said Thursday the hospital registered 30 deaths while the chief doctor at Lok Nayak Hospital said three people had died there.

 

‘All of them had gunshot injuries,’ Kumar said.

(if anyone believes the media spin on these events, ask yourself if there is anywhere on Earth where large numbers of muslims live in areas not muslim controlled and where it works out without tons of pain and bloodshed and demands for Islamic control. India is just what it looks like when an indigenous people fight back)

8. Erdogan Opens the Gates: Syrian Migrants Granted Unhindered Passage to Europe

The Turkish government has announced that for the next 72 hours it will open its border with Syria and allow any and all migrants to go to Europe unhindered.

 

A senior official has claimed that the government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has opened the borders for Syrian asylum seekers and other migrants and will not prevent anyone from heading to Europe by land or by sea, Reuters reports.

(Makes you wonder if Turkey should not be invited to the next NATO picnic)

9. Important National Post article about the future of Canada. Time to sell the C$ short.

Ironically, Teck pulled the plug on the project late on a Sunday night just hours after getting approvals from 14 First Nations communities and after spending nine years’ and $1.1 billion in development preparation. Why now?

 

The deal was not scrapped due to concern about emissions because Teck is deeply in the emissions business as a huge coal and metals and oil sands producer. The deal was not nixed because of concern about low oil prices because long-term price projections have not changed dramatically. The deal was not killed because of aboriginal issues, because affected First Nations had signed off. And it was not abruptly ended due to concerns that Trudeau and his cabinet would reject the project this week.

 

Teck pulled the plug because Canada is now an untenable political risk. It no longer matters who does or doesn’t approve resource and infrastructure projects. They simply cannot be finished.

10. Former Prague Muslim leader sentenced on terror charges

PRAGUE — A Czech court on Friday convicted a former Prague Muslim leader of being part of a terror group and financing terrorism, sentencing him to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutors said imam Samer Shehadeh helped his brother Omar and later his brother’s wife, Fatima Hudkova, travel to Syria to join a terror group known as Jabhat Fateh al-Sham.

Prosecutors also said Shehadeh sent unspecified sums of money to the group that seeks to replace the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad with an Islamic state.

 

Two other people in the same case were convicted of terror charges in absentia by Prague’s Municipal Court. One received a prison term of 11 years and the other person was given a term of six years.

 

Shehadeh didn’t deny the charges but said he didn’t consider his deeds a crime because he doesn’t recognize the Syrian government and doesn’t consider the group terrorist.
