  1. Thank you Vlad. Brad thank you for you passing on your knowledge, putting it blunter then you did, if the CCP is going to remain in power the most likely future is a return to the cultural revolution of Mao and the death of many millions of Chinese.

    • They’ll retrench, if history’s any guide, at great cost to human life. A disarmed populace under totalitarian surveillance doesn’t stand a chance. No hope of help from abroad, the world is too stuck to the Panda’s teat.

That Belt and Road toward the Eurasian Century hit a bump. And China 2025 flu flew the coop. So much for their stinkin’ commie 5- and 10- year plans. Made in China 2025

Germany and Greece, among others, will take a bath. Maybe the stinkin’ EU will think twice about Huawei, which will be the highest priority for the ChiComs and will survive this…unpleasantness.

  2. I don’t believe it. The Chinese are furious at this point, and the Chernobyl Effect will set in. If you (the Party) can’t abide the feedback that impacts on people’s mass health, there and abroad, and if you show yourself to the world as lying and totally incompetent to deal, apart from welding doors shut and locking people up, there are consequences.Even in China.

    • The outcome will depend on “will the CCP manage to keep food and medicine for the Military and the Police and their families?” If they can keep the loyalty of the police and the military the CCP will remain in power, they will roll China back to the Cultural Revolution and destroy all of the economic power they have build up as well as the international political power they have build up since Mao died.

It all depends on can the keep the loyalty of the groups that have all of the guns? If they can and are willing to be very brutal they can remain in power. The other choice is to take the one the Russians took, let the communist party and its government collapse and then world to ensure that the high ranking communist police end up owning most of the factories and take over the politics. This choice would also destroy the economic power and international political power they have built up over the past few decades. The second choice requires that some lower ranking person is smart enough to take over and rebuild the control of the CCP under a different name.

      • I saw you comment before I wrote the one above!
There’s no way they’ll follow the Soviet Union’s example. All available supplies will go to the “groups that have all of the guns”. Their families will be at the top of the heap, too. They’ll acquire power and status overnight.

As for brutality, have you seen them dragging people to these quarantine facilities? Built close to crematoria running full blast, 24/7?

        • My Russki was stationed in China during the 1970s. He says: once upon a time, Russia was Christian. There’s no comparing these societies.

          • No the two societies aren’t comparable, the Chinese Leaders have always been brutal much more so then the Russians. A casual read of Chinese history that hasn’t been cleaned up for the kids proves that, in fact from what I know of Russian History you have to go back to Ivan the Terrible to come close to what was routine through out most of Chinese History. The Chinese prior to communism were capable of great compassion and at the same time great brutality.

A mystery wrapped in an enigma.

        • If they do return to the Cultural Revolution we will see videos that will make what is happening now seem tame. I remember the reports of what was done in the “Cultural Revolution” and in that one they would have dragged the people out, they would have executed some publicly and then demanded the rest run out to the vans. After that they would have started getting nasty.

I also remember the stories of what Charlie did in Nam at around the same time and they were also much more brutal. Yes what they are doing now is brutal but there are levels of brutality and the current events are not near as bad as they can get. I don’t want to write about the brutal events in Nam and I am sure Vlad doesn’t want the graphic stories on his blog.

      • Hate?
A Russian is the love of my life! I’m surrounded by a sea of Refuseniks who fled communism, not Russia. Same as over a million Israelis, now? delighted to be able to visit the “old country”.

As for China, even the Russia of Brezhnev was paradise compared to the China of Mao. The people continue to be brainwashed or crushed. As long as it serves as a base from which to attack me and mine, it’s my enemy.

      • Telling historical facts and makings predictions of the future based on past actions isn’t hate, it is intellectual honesty.

      • “I haven’t been trained to hate…”.

        The ‘Hate Crime’ ruse.

        Throw in a few ‘Racists,’

        ‘Islamophobia’ too.

        Submission is greatest

        To guilefully do.

  3. Actually, Ipostle, I was trained to hate Russians, so in a way you’re right. I was trained to hate them like everyone in the Soviet sphere of satellites was–because of communism. Then The Wall fell and everything started to change.

Then one day a woman walked into my office with crazy dyed-red hair and I hired her as a secretary. When we told her she got the job she started to cry. I thought, uh-oh, what have I done? Turned out this Russian was crying for joy. Imagine that. I still have her and she’s the best ever.

Turns out when The Wall fell the Hate fell with it. Only the commies were left standing.

    • People active in the campaign to free the Refuseniks knew what was going on in the USSR. Many, many brave Russians got samizdat out. Tourists sometimes managed to bring in prayer books and medicine and matzoh. It took bribes, winks, and blackmarket skills.
