1. Coronavirus latest news: Five British people diagnosed in French ski resort

Five British people have been diagnosed with coronavirus in France after being infected during a skiing holiday, the country’s health minister has revealed.

The victims, one of whom is a child, were staying in the same ski resort chalet and were infected when one of the group came into contact with someone who had been in Singapore, Agnes Buzyn said this morning.

They are in a stable condition and being constantly monitored at an unnamed hospital in the eastern Haute-Savoie Alpine region of southeastern France.

2. ‘We’re definitely not prepared’: Africa braces for new virus

LUSAKA, Zambia — At a Chinese-run hospital in Zambia, some employees watched as people who recently returned from China showed up with coughs but were not placed in isolation. A doctor tending to those patients has stopped coming to work, and health workers have been ordered not to speak publicly about the new virus that has killed hundreds around the world.

The virus that has spread through much of China has yet to be confirmed in Africa, but global health authorities are increasingly worried about the threat to the continent where an estimated 1 million Chinese now live, as some health workers on the ground warn they are not ready to handle an outbreak.

Countries are racing to take precautions as hundreds of travelers arrive from China every day. Safeguards include stronger surveillance at ports of entry and improved quarantine and testing measures across Africa, home to 1.2 billion people and some of the world’s weakest systems for detecting and treating disease.

3. Eighty-six people die of coronavirus in a DAY in China as Beijing begins mass arrest of sufferers and videos shows hazmat suit-clad goons dragging people from their homes as the death toll hits 724

Video showing people suspected of having coronavirus being forcefully dragged from their homes has emerged, as the communist regime starts rounding up suffers in Wuhan and taking them to camps.

Officials in protective suits are seen holding onto two people by their arms before a third more resistive man is picked up from the floor and carried away in one shocking clip shared online.

The footage, filmed in Wuhan, comes after China‘s Vice Premier Sun Chunlan called on a ‘people’s war’ against the fast-spreading epidemic.

Last week the country’s central government ordered the city – which is the epicentre of the virus – to round up all suspected patients as well as their close contacts in mass quarantine camps.

4. Manila Corona Virus Feb 8: We are screwed

Mayen Jaymalin (The Philippine Star) – February 7, 2020 – 12:00am MANILA, Philippines — The number of persons under investigation (PUIs) for the 2019-novel coronavirus acute respiratory disease (2019 nCoV ARD) continues to soar, but it is expected to drop dramatically within the next two months, according to the Department of Health (DOH).

At a press conference yesterday, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III reported that the total number of PUIs nationwide had reached 178 as of yesterday.

“Of the total 178 PUIs, 147 are admitted in hospitals, 10 have refused admission and 16 have already been discharged under strict monitoring,” Duque said. The health chief further noted that of the total number of PUIs, 84 have tested negative for the virus while laboratory test on samples taken from 127 PUIs are still pending. He said the DOH is now coordinating with the Philippine National Police (PNP) in requiring asymptomatic PUIs to be admitted in health facilities.

6. February 7 update from China Uncensored

On a personal note, people I spoke with locally went to the most popular Chinese restaurant in town at lunch and it was so quiet they did not have the Dim Sum carts out. Strictly order from menu, and the place was nearly deserted and this restaurant is far away from China Town.

The local pharmacy has been out of masks for weeks and cannot even give an estimate for when they may get more as the warehouse has none and refuse to give a restock date. The same for hand sanitizer. It looks like Trudeau’s Canada allows about as much self defence against this virus as it does against crime and totalitarian government. Which is to say none.

(Given that this virus likely was weaponized by China and escaped a ‘level 4 bio lab’ in Wuhan, I think they deserve all the stigmatization we can give them)

  1. I agree that the virus was weaponized by the CCP and that it was accidentally released by either poor construction of poor sanitation practices or what is more probably a combination of the two. The bad results from this virus outbreak outweigh the good results.

As serpentza says we don’t want to blame all Chinese or discriminate against them but we do need to take sensible precautions. This is going to be a very bad time for everyone on earth with the death toll sure to raise when hte virus reaches the Middle East and Africa. I am also worried about what is going to happen when the ourbreak reaches South America.

    • If it was accidental, it sure was timely for the CCP as it successfully stopped their big problem aka Hong Kong Protests. They were very worried it would spread to the Mainland.

      • It was helpful for that reason but look at the economic damage, the Mainland was already in a recession and the lose of revenue from the factories that are shut down has made their economy weaker. Here is the video/podcast by Sara Carter where she interviews Gordon Chang, his explanation of what is happening to the Chinese Economy is much better then what I would say.
( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmrUdJG11A big economic collapse combined with the virus places the CCP in a very dangerous position. They already maintain control through massive police brutality combined with the threat of the military to back up the police. If the people lose confidence in the government to provide food, shelter and medical care the the CCP may be forced to turn back to the Cultural Revolution to remain in power. Returning to that level of brutality would mean that most of the world would turn against the Communist Government, which means more economic problems.

Granted all of the above is a worst case scenario but the virus he when the good supply was hurt by the Swine Flu and then around the beginning of the Wuhan flu bird flu hit the mainland and forced them to kill and burn a large number of their current chicken crop.

The situation on the mainland would have to be much worse then I was hearing for them to be willing to start a pandemic when the food supply was already limited and the economy was shaky. I am not saying they won’t just that right now an accidental release makes more sense.

        • I agree about the collapse of the Chinese economy. And companies will be moving out. Never has the Regime been under such threat, both socially and economically.

It is possible the virus wasn’t this lethal when first released? I was reading one guy who did a video and he said the first cases of pneumonia started appearing in Wuhan in September and by mid-November, it had spread significantly.

          • That’s possible, the CCP weaponized a virus that wasn’t that deadly and once it was outside the lab it started mutating. Most mutationjs are that harmeful but there are exceptions to all rules of thumb.they wanted a flu bad enough to keep the protesters inside and out of large groups but that wasn’t nasty enough to make people think of bio weapons. but instead of mutating to a less dangerous strain (like most do) this one went the other direction. Possibly because of the genetic manipulation that was done.

This makes a lot more sense then the CCP deciding to commit political suicide.

            • It is what I think happened. They released a small particle at an opportune time to test its effectiveness, and then they lost control.

Communism is top-down and not bottom-up.Top leaders decide and they live in glass bubbles.

The proof is they forgot to provide for their own food source aka ducks and geese that died from hunger in Wuhan (surely in hundreds of thousands).

So, staff followed orders and quarantined without thinking who would feed the poultry. Everybody in their work bubble. I saw that during a cross-country trip in Cuba.

Somebody mentioned ‘fear’ but I think it’s more laziness, from my experience in Cuba many years ago.

THAT SAID: Who is China’s worst enemy?
              ANSWER: Donald J. Trump.

And I keep thinking of this election year where he is doing massive rallies. Do you follow me?

              • The lack of flexibility and suppression of initiative are the two greatest weakness of all command economics. Some people praise the rapid response that is possible in a command top down society but the lack of the ability to move on their own to fill in a gap in the orders dooms all command societies in the long run. They can stumble through when things are easy but when times change and become hard to top leadership are incapable of thinking of everything.

              • You know your own society is becoming a top down society when “I was just following orders” becomes and acceptable defense.

  2. Knowing the Trump Administration offered its help to China to contain the epidemic, and knowing that China refused USA help, one must wonder why? We all know the answer to that one.

Now, Trump Administration has set up an investigation to determine the origin of the virus.

Apparently, there are over 80 cities now on lock-down in China.

Incredible video clip of a Chinese man escaping the Police:
    https://twitter.com/i/status/1226111900494237703

    • 1: 80 cities! Things are going from bad to worse to Oh My God.

2: From what I have heard of the pollution in the Chinese rivers I wouldn’t want to swim in one.

    • He knew what he was doing. That area is the shortest distance between Mainland China and Hong Kong. He put his clothes through the barrier, someone put his clothes in a plastic bag. After swimming to the other side (Hong Kong), all he had to do was cross the footbridge to pick up his bag of clothes.

    • Steve Quayle was a frequent guest (on many topics, including giants?) on the “Coast to Coast AM” radio show. I remember him talking about his list of dead scientists. He has a “Dead Scientists” link and this:

“The Information about China acquiring the Corona Bio-Weapon From Canada is a hoax and totally false for the reasons below”
      Steve Quayle – January 27, 2020
      https://www.stevequayle.com/index.php?s=33&d=2413

      • I have about 4 MSM links including, unbelievably, CBC links that describe Chinese spies being removed from the Winnipeg lab for poaching.

There is simply too much evidence for him to say it did not come from Canada. The rest of it might be true. But we know that Chinese agents did steal bio materials from Canada and they even refer to Corona virus.

    • Kill the cut out and you stop the investigators moving up the chain. It is so old no one knows when it was first done, but it still works.

  3. I hate to be a whiner but a nasty little viral pneumonia would almost certainly kill little old me and I’m not kidding about that. What worries me is that if it’s supposed to be no worse than the flu, why did that young doctor die with breathing tubes and masks all over the place and the same expression on his face that Nelson Mandella had in his death bed while dying of a terminal lung infection? The flu doesn’t normally kill healthy 30-year-old doctors…

From what I can see we are being kept in the dark on this…

Oh, and anyone who deprives human beings of their right to decide their own fate and to speak and hear the truth deserves to be inverted and hung from a meathook just like Benito Mussolini only alive this time. The Communist slogan should be, “No power to the People!”…

    • I was thinking the same thing about that 30 YO doctor. If virile men are dying from this contagion it must be worse than we are being led to believe.
Why would the Chinese be prepared to take such an enormous financial loss and go to all these efforts for a “nasty flu”.
The trouble for us is that we have been lied to and misled so many times that we have to question everything officials tell us these days.

      • It could be either accidental release of deliberate, if deliberate Sassy’s scenario of a much milder form was released and it started mutating into the lethal version. If this is true then the question is, has the virus stopped mutating or is it still changing?

a research scientist in the Zoonotic Diseases and Special Pathogens Division of Canada’s Public Health Agency. Kobasa has spent more than a decade studying the Spanish flu strain in a secure lab in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Kobasa was part of a medical team that replicated the virus in 2004 using samples obtained from three exhumed 1918 flu victims. Kobasa and his coworkers inserted two genes of the deadly virus into a mild flu virus in mice. Those two genes helped the mild virus bind to the mice’s cells. All flu viruses have those two genes but the 1918 versions turned the mouse flu into an “ugly virulent virus in the mice,” says Kobasa. Something about that version was turbocharged. The mice’s immune systems went into overdrive, frantically responding to the pathogen, trying to eject it at any cost, wrecking tissues, burning energy, and even leading to secondary infections in the process. The virus turned the immune system into a biological saboteur.

In 2007, Kobasa went further and introduced the replicated 1918 virus to macaque monkeys whose immune systems more closely resemble humans’. The virus provoked the same strong immune response. In an echo of the past, the primates’ lungs filled with fluid and blood, an attempt to eradicate the pathogen. The virus kept on replicating even as the victims drowned. The blood and vomit that slicked the Leviathan’s deck wasn’t the result of flu, it was the response of the soldiers’ immune systems.

  5. When I reflect on what happened with the release of the first computer malware (worm, then virus, then Trojan horse), I realize that once a certain number of people are engaged in an enterprise like computer networking, the diversity of thought, ethics, impulsivity, wisdom, guile, etc. is such that among those working on the enterprise, there may be one who cannot stop himself from trying something new. All the more so because in the early development of networking, there was a lot of energy, synergy, and perhaps an overflow to family members!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morris_worm November 2, 1988, was one of the first computer worms distributed via the Internet, and the first to gain significant mainstream media attention. It also resulted in the first felony conviction in the US under the 1986 Computer Fraud and Abuse Act. It was written by a graduate student [] Morris, the creator of the worm, was the son of [], a cryptographer who, at the time, was working for the NSA.

If the virus were engineered or from a mistaken release, somewhere there is either a person who is feeling terrible or jubilant. Who is this person going to confide in or brag to? Do other scientists in the field have a sinking feeling that it is best to avoid the topic so as not to set up the scene for a repeat? When a group of specialized researchers are tackling the same delineated area, they may know each other, or at least each other’s work. Reckon that if the virus has agency, those in this field may realize this and have perhaps decided that no good can come from sharing that information.

  6. “The trouble for us is that we have been lied to and misled so many times that we have to question everything officials tell us these days.” – And that is the perfect definition of “gaslighting” which they are indeed doing to us constantly for years. Like calling Islam “The religion of peace”. It’s really designed to make you question your own sanity…

According to Yuri Bezmenov we are all supposed to reach a point when we cannot think rationally about any subject and are pretty much stumbling around walking into walls. It’s called “psychological warfare” and it’s no small deal. At some point, the people just give up and become like North Korean or Communist Chinese zombies who just automatically parrot the government line and only the government line and they don’t even care anymore…

    • We see it through the west today – the state and their proxies isolate and attack their opponents.
      Zersetzung – “decomposition”
The Stasi used operational psychology and its extensive network of informal collaborators (inoffizielle Mitarbeiter) to launch personalized psychological attacks against targets to damage their mental health and lower chances of a “hostile action” against the state

      • “It’s just a collection of bones, 205 pieces, to be exact,‘ cause I used one of them as my pointer.” The professor’s humor eased the tension and freed us from the physical paralysis of shock.
“Now,”the professor paused,“We’re going to see how the organs are arranged in the human body.”With these words, he slowly uncovered the body. A man’s head appeared, pink and black from long being soaked in formalin for a long time, his eyes staring at us impassively! We all gasped at the frightening sight, and some even turned their heads away.“Oh, come on. Don’t be afraid. This guy used to be a criminal, but he hasn’t committed a single crime since he lay here five years ago.”Clearly, the professor was trying to distract us from fears, and it worked.“Now, if you want to know the exact arrangement of the viscera (internal organs), look here!”In a split second, the chest and abdominal cavity was thrust open before us. The professor took the organs out one by one and explained them to us.
??“It’s really an eye opener to see all these specimens and to learn about our own body, but it challenges our nerves, too!”I confessed to the professor after class.“It surely was. As the saying goes, a live tiger is frightening but a dead tiger isn’t. As for a human being, the opposite applies! Most of the fears we have are created by ourselves; that is, we’re frightening ourselves! Therefore, overcoming our fears is the first step towards learning anatomy, and it’s true with any other task we want to accomplish!”answered the professor, still smiling.
??These words still ring in my ears now, reminding me of that first challenging and exciting anatomy lesson.
