This move comes ahead in what will be a hard-fought battle between pro-gun and anti-gun politicians and citizens. On Monday, January 20th, 2020, the Virginia Citizens Defense League will be holding its annual Lobby Day. This action by the Democrats in the legislature seems to be a preemptive move in response to the gun rights rally.
Virginia is at the forefront of the national gun-rights battle. In the last election cycle, Bloomberg backed groups dumped millions into supporting anti-gun candidates. With control of all both chambers of the legislature and the Governorship, Democrats have introduced extreme gun control measures such as an “assault firearms” ban, banning of non-government owned indoor ranges, universal background checks, and red flag laws.

Britain has condemned the arrest of the UK ambassador to Iran as a “flagrant violation of international law”.
Rob Macaire was detained on Saturday night after attending a vigil for those who died when Iran’s military shot down a passenger plane earlier this week.
He left when it turned into a protest before being arrested and accused of helping to organise the demonstrations.
Iran said he was “an unknown foreigner in an illegal gathering” and summoned him to the foreign ministry on Sunday.
In a statement, Iran’s foreign ministry said Mr Macaire was “reminded” that his presence at “illegal gatherings contravened” the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations.

Fifteen UK churches told to stop services in anonymous letters threatening attacks
Handwritten letters threatening petrol bomb attacks and mass stabbings have been sent to 15 churches in the UK in the past two months.
“Stop all your services straight away”, said one letter sent to a church in Sheffield, South Yorkshire “if you don’t your church will be petrol bombed while in service. Continue behind closed doors and your congregation members will be stabbed one by one. Blood on your hands. You have been warned.

Rezazadeh sparked a major hate crime inquiry supported by anti-terror police, Birmingham Crown Court heard.

You are right about what the stakes are for both sides, I would say that you understated the issues but can’t think of a way to say things more forceful. This is a trail run by the left to see if they can get away with buying elections and then implementing communist policies to turn the US citizens into serfs. Modern slang on the net is calling the coming civil war the Bugaloo, many on the side of freedom are asking “Does the Bugaloo start in Virginia?” The answer rests with the left, how much of their radical agenda can they get passed and how will the Virginians react to the Communist laws. I doubt if the left will let things rest until their laws work their way up through the legal system to the Supreme Court.
