3.  Report: Record 3,000 Christian Sites in Europe Vandalized in 2019

ROME — Christian sites in Europe suffered a record number of attacks in the year 2019, with some 3,000 Christian churches, schools, cemeteries, and monuments vandalized, looted, or defaced.

 

Reports compiling the anti-Christian acts during the year document a range of profanation including arson, defecation, desecration, looting, mockery, Satanism, theft, urination, and vandalism.

 

“Sadly, 2019 was punctuated by increasing incidents of desecration and vandalism of churches around Europe, along with the 2019 fire at the Notre-Dame Cathedral, which captured worldwide attention,” the director of The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe, Ellen Fantini, told Breitbart News on Saturday.

 

“In most instances the perpetrators of these acts were unidentified, but the Observatory has documented that churches and other symbols of Christianity in Europe are targets for many groups — from Islamists to radical feminists, LGBT activists to anarchists and self-proclaimed Satanists,” Ms. Fantini said.

7. Belgium Arrests Syrian Migrant on Terrorism Charge

Belgian authorities have confirmed the arrest of a Syrian national last month in the French-speaking city of Verviers, stating that the migrant is suspected of terrorist offences.

 

Eric Van Duyse, the spokesman for the federal prosecutor’s office, told reporters on Monday that several bladed weapons, including a machete, were found in the possession of the Syrian along with a gas cartridge pistol and other replica weapons, broadcaster RTL reports.

 

“The person was arrested on December 14,” Van Duyse said. He added: “But the investigation did not reveal any trace of a specific target or a real plan for an attack. Let’s say that his activities were worrying, to say the least. On the side of the federal prosecution, we try to work as far upstream as possible.”

Jihad Watch has frequently addressed concerns about Pope Francis and his efforts to ally with unsavory Islamic leaders and push for more Muslim migrants in the West. It is fortunate that not all Catholic leaders see eye to eye with the Pope.

 

For example, Cardinal Robert Sarah — prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments — compared “the modern influx of Muslim migrants to the invasions of barbarian tribes that ultimately brought down the Roman Empire in a.d. 475.” Sarah also issued a warning which contradicts the Pope. He cautioned that “it is a false exegesis [interpretation of scriptural text] to use the Word of God to promote migration. God never wanted these rifts.” But this is precisely what Pope Francis has been doing: acting as a blind guide in preaching that it is un-Christian to oppose mass Muslim migration into Europe. Meanwhile, the Vatican remains walled up, and the Pope remains surrounded by security.

(There is also an intriguing article about some hermits in the UK who were just excommunicated for their view that the Pope is a heretic. It is somewhat easy to determine the truth of the story as the BBC has made sure to spin it so that these genuine Catholics are painted as racist homophobes and all the other weapon-words the leftist media use to make sure no one who breaks with the consensus can possibly be listened to seriously. Notice the BBC gives no examples of their claims. They just make damning claims.)

10. First terrorist attack in UK jail foiled by hero guards

PRIME Minister Boris Johnson yesterday said we owe a “huge debt of gratitude” after heroic prison guards tackled suspected terrorists wearing fake suicide belts inside a high-security jail.

 

An Islamist convicted over a plot to behead a soldier and an accomplice attacked a prison officer in HMP Whitemoor, Cambs. They then targeted four staff who rushed in to help. Mr Johnson said: “My thoughts are with the staff injured in the suspected terror incident. I would like to thank them and the emergency services for their courageous response. We owe those who keep us safe a huge debt of gratitude.”

Twitter- is actually playing catch-up to the progressive agenda well-ensconced in our schools. No open discourse has been allowed since my kids began. Now,  like the child informants under fascism or communism, snowflakes rule with iron fists. Without exaggeration, and without a long story, snowflakes are human ideological roadside explosive devices. One wrong word in the hallway or classroom and one finds oneself on trial. Virtue-signalling teachers pump postmodern pablum into these minds, free of the accountability they so deserve for mass producing little monsters.

  1. Eh. The general is saying in the interview what he must say. The script was laid for him. I think the west should appreciate that he came out, told the truth, and accepted responsibility.

    Part of effective sanctions (applied consequences) is rewarding good behavior. And that certainly was.

          • Yeah pretty much. Although I see it as more a psychological hook than a sexual one although it translates that way subjectively. That is to say, to an outside observer, should there be such a thing, it would appear to be a very substandard intimate life.

            But if your harry, the psychological hooks go deep and any contact is electric.

            Im not 100% familiar with your examples. But check out Woody Allen’s best film (IMHO) Anything Else.

            He portrays a relationship which is a pretty good generic example of the hook of the Psycho chick.

  6. Obama could say, “I went to the fridge and I got a beer” and he would make it sound like the most well-thought-out intelligent reasonable thing you’ve ever heard, and that fooled me at first. The way he pauses apparently to find the most precise word possible gives you the feeling that he speaks with great veracity and common sense when the fact is that he is as political and left-wing biased as Noam Chomsky any day of the week. Barack Obama is a wolf in sheep’s clothing and I still think he is probably a highly decorated Lieutenant Colonel in the effing KGB…

    At the end of Goldberg’s memoir, there is a big reveal when the former IDF prison guard has a reunion with a former prisoner and learns the real titles and jobs held by those he once guarded outside of Gaza. The prisoners themselves had organized study groups and internal discipline and information transfer.
