Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    The terrible case of the desecration of graves on a large scale was committed on Friday morning at the Klagenfurt cemetery of St. Ruprecht. According to witnesses, a 34-year-old woman from Cameroon is suspected of the crime. According to the video, the woman caused widespread devastation, and a police patrol arrested the 34-year-old woman at the cemetery. She is reported to the public prosecutor’s office, the newspaper Krone reports.

    It is said in the comments that KSA should not be held responsible for the actions of the shooter and his co-conspirators. I strongly disagree. These were members of the Saudi military representing their country on foreign soil. The kingdom should absolutely be held responsible for their actions.
    Trump’s “extreme vetting” was also derided in the comments. I would ask, where is the Saudi vetting because our vetting can only be as good as the home country’s vetting. Did KSA know that they were sending a bunch of nuts to a foreign country to represent their military? Or, were these just socially well connected young men that were deemed above reproach? If KSA didn’t bust down doors on Saturday morning I would assume that to be the case.

    Sens. Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and other Senate Democrats running for president might find themselves pulled off the campaign trail for the trial of President Trump, or face arrest, a former Senate parliamentarian told The Post.

    Should Democrats in the House of Representatives formally impeach the president — something that is widely expected by the end of the year — a January Senate trial is almost certain. The president’s fate would then be decided by a vote of 100 senators, with a two-thirds majority required for his removal.

    The timing, however, couldn’t be worse for many of the party’s leading lights, who could be compelled to come off the campaign trail to sit for weeks just before voting begins.

    House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suffered yet another “nervous fit” during a town hall event on CNN, claiming “civilization as we know it” might not survive another four years of President Trump.

    “The damage that this administration has done to America, America’s a great country,” she blathered on. “We can sustain. Two terms, I don’t know.”

    When asked about what the House could do to keep Trump in check should he win reelection, Pelosi admitted she couldn’t even bear the thought.

  16. Witness in Mueller anti-Trump probe indicted for funneling millions in illegal campaign contributions to Hillary Clinton

    George Nader, a key witness in the special counsel’s investigation who has been indicted on child sex crime charges, helped funnel millions of dollars in illegal campaign contributions to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and pro-Clinton political action committees, prosecutors in Washington, D.C. allege in an indictment unsealed this week.

    According to the indictment, Nader referred to Clinton as the “Big Lady” in text messages with a foreign government official. He also bragged to his foreign contact about meeting with both Hillary and Bill Clinton during the campaign.

    Prosecutors say that Nader touted his access to Clinton and her campaign officials as part of a scheme to funnel $3.5 million through Ahmad “Andy” Khawaja, the CEO of Allied Wallet, a credit card payment processing firm based in California. Nader, Khawaja and six other associates were indicted on 53 counts in the alleged scheme.

    his is a historic day” is something there’s a very good chance you’ll hear when tuning into CNN these days.

    Ever since Nancy Pelosi announced the start of an official “impeachment inquiry,” CNN — a news network that’s effectively declared its opposition to the current administration — has pronounced virtually every “historic.”

    Since Sept. 24th, when Pelosi announced the launch of the impeachment probe, CNN’s used the word “historic” to describe the proceedings 805 times, according to a review of Grabien’s NewsBase.

    When the first public hearings were held Nov. 13th, CNN described the day as historic “47 times.”

    “Good afternoon and with that gavel coming down, I’m Jake Tapper and you’re watching special coverage of this historic day,” Jake Tapper said after the first hearing concluded.

    “This is a historic day in the nation’s capital,” his colleague, Wolf Blitzer, agreed.

    As the hearings proceeded over the next few weeks, Blitzer began virtually every show the same way, with the words: “Another historic day.”

    CNN’s other anchors and reporters appeared duty-bound to use the same expression, repeating the phrase every day since the impeachment proceedings began.

    “BRITISH Special Forces were in Libya last night on the hunt for embargo-busting missiles which downed two drones.

    The SAS was called in last week to support an MI6 operation to establish whether anti-government forces are using weapons sold by the United Arab Emirates, Middle Eastern nations and Russia.

    It follows the recent shooting out of the sky of US and Italian Reaper drones west of Tripoli.

    The drones (UAVs) are vital to efforts to contain Islamic State forces in Libya. In September four US strikes killed 43 militants – a third of the group’s estimated 150 fighters in Libya.

    Jordan, the UAE and Turkey have repeatedly violated an arms embargo on Libya. Rebel forces led by General Khalifa Haftar are said to have used US-made Hawk surface-to-air missiles.

    UN concerns were later backed by satellite images which showed Hawks used to down the £4.5million US drone.

    Gen Haftar said the targeting of coalition UAVs had been an error. But Britain operates surveillance aircraft off Libya – part of a multi-national operation to monitor migration across the Mediterranean – and chiefs fear Haftar does not possess full control of his forces.

    As an SAS team joined US and Italian Special Forces to source “on the ground” evidence, US, Italian and UK diplomats sent a message to Haftar that his weapons systems would be destroyed if used again.

    Britain, America and Italy supply a range of military equipment to the UAE and Jordan on the basis it will not be sold on to a third party.

    The Hawk systems are believed to have either been flown into Libya or ferried by sea.

    UK arms sales to the UAE have soared from 383 export licenses in 2007 to 1,471 in 2017.

    Libya’s UN-recognised Govern-ment of National Accord – which is not recognised by its House of Representatives – has accused the UAE of hostility and supporting a coup against it.

    A senior military source said: “We have huge interest in Libya and these Hawk missile systems are a major threat as they could be used against any aircraft.

    “If they use these weapons against coalition forces they will be stopped – but we need the evidence first.””

    A West Midlands Police statement said the pair were arrested in Dover, in Kent, on Saturday, and the arrests were not linked to the London Bridge terror attack last month. The force said: “A 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested in Dover.

    “The man was arrested on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorism offences and funding/supporting terrorism.

    “The woman was arrested on suspicion of preparing to commit terrorism offences.

    “The arrests were carried out by West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit detectives and the two are being questioned at a police station in the West Midlands.

    “The arrests were intelligence-led; there was no risk to the public.

    “The arrests are not linked in any way to the London Bridge terror attack and enquiries into this matter were underway prior to the incident on 29 November.”

    Jack Merritt, 25, and 23-year-old Saskia Jones were stabbed by jihadist Usman Khan in the recent London Bridge terror attack.

    “POLICE have dealt a blow to the notorious Hellbanianz gang after leading members of the cartel were caught raiding a rival drug factory.

    Armed with a gun and machetes, the thugs smashed into a house in north London that had been converted into a sophisticated drugs warehouse by Romanian criminals.

    Azen Dajci, 26, who drives a gold Mercedes with the number plate HEII BOZ, took part in the raid along with others including Fabion Kuci, 27, and Ardi Sheta, 18. But a special constable who lived close to the address alerted the police.

    Officers arrived to tackle the gang, but when Tasered, Dajci, who has filmed himself doing push-ups from his cell, simply pulled out the wires and attempted to flee.

    The men were then arrested, although others managed to escape after ramming chasing police cars.

    In November last year the Sunday Express published images of the Hellbanianz gang posing with cash, cars, weapons and cannabis.

    The gang, which originates from Barking, has been taking over the lucrative cannabis trade, and has links to Colombian cocaine cartels.

    On November 26 last year the gang drove in three cars to an address in Hendon. Harrow Crown Court heard the property had been rented in the name of a Romanian who could not be traced.

    A Peugeot, Mercedes and BMW were caught on CCTV passing the address a number of times before the gang entered at 4am.

    Christopher Hewertson, prosecuting, said: “This crime group gained intelligence that this was a factory with a harvested crop worth thousands. They smashed their way in through the back door and cut the cannabis crop into black bin bags.”

    But they were forced to run, leaving a machete and two bags of cannabis. Kuci and Dajci were held. Dajci was able to flee, stashing the gun and ammunition under a parked car.

    Mr Hewertson said: “The gun was a Slovakian G9 blank firing pistol that had been converted to lethally discharge. It was real ammunition.”

    The BMW rammed police cars and fled on the A41. Detective Constable Mike Haughey said: “It went on the wrong side of the carriageway It was too dangerous to follow.”

    Dajci admitted aggravated burglary, and possession of a firearm and ammunition. Kuci pleaded guilty to aggravated burglary. Sheta admitted the charge last week. They will be sentenced later.”

  24. NYPD cop bites into sandwich, finds razor blade inside

    On its face, this is another ugly Starbucks-employee-spits-in-cop’s-coffee incident, but this is a far more serious — in fact potentially deadly — situation. The back story, according to the New York Post, is that an officer assigned to the NYPD’s critical response command in the counter-terrorism bureau suffered an injury to his mouth, thankfully minor, when he bit into a steak sandwich that concealed a razor blade.

    The nasty surprise was tucked inside the hero he’d purchased around 4:30 p.m. from Bon Appetit Specialty Food Store on Beach 129th Street in Belle Harbor.

    The article goes on to note that the department is looking into the circumstances that resulted in a potentially deadly weapon ending up in the officer’s lunch and whether in fact he was “targeted.” The officer was dressed in plain clothes, which would appear to argue against the possibility that the harm was intentional, but the chances of a razor blade ending up in the food preparation area of a restaurant, much less in a customer’s meal, seem infinitesimal.

    “Two people were fatally shot outside a nightclub in Norrköping, Sweden, as gang violence continues to plague the country.

    The incident took place outside a nightclub shortly before police were alerted at 1:2o a.m. and found two men outside of the nightclub with gunshot wounds. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital, but police said they died of their injuries a short time later, Aftonbladet reports.

    “I heard gunshots and went. There were two people shot in the street just outside,” a witness told the newspaper. Investigators say the two men were residents of Östergötland county and Örebro county, and both were in their forties.

    While police initially brought in a person for questioning around an hour after the shooting, they were released two hours later with investigators saying the person was not a suspect in the case.

    The two fatal shootings came only days after a 25-year-old man was shot dead in the multicultural city of Malmö. So far, police have arrested two people in connection with the murder and said the victim was linked to gang crime through his older brother who led a criminal gang.

    One of the suspected shooters is also said to have a long criminal record as well, with prior convictions for firearms offences as well as fraud, and he had been sentenced in a fraud case as recently as November.

    Another shooting occurred in the city of Kristianstad at around 5 a.m. and saw a residential building shot at with what police described as automatic gunfire.

    Gang violence has become a significant issue in Sweden, with there also being a surge in explosive attacks…”

    “A French rapper from a migrant-background has released a song bragging about “the Great Replacement” theory of rapid demographic change in the Western world.

    The song, entitled ‘The Great Replacement’, was released earlier this week by French rapper Younès, who states in the lyrics, “The great replacement? It’s your daughter who likes me, who will make me children.”

    “The great replacement is me, then them, then you. The big bad guys are us,” the rapper states, going on to add, “I’m rare, like the whites at Gare du Nord” in reference to the train station in Northern Paris where an attack by radical Islamic terrorists in 2017 was foiled by police.

    Originally from the commune of Mont-Saint-Aignan, and previously known as “Yoon on the Moon”, the 24-year-old former law student has previously claimed to have been inspired by various rappers including Médine Zaouiche, who became infamous for his anti-French lyrics.
    Last year, Médine, who released an album entitled Jihad, drew the ire of many when he planned to perform a concert at the Bataclan nightclub in Paris where 90 people were brutally murdered by radical Islamic terrorists in 2015.

    The “Great Replacement” theory was first developed by French author Renaud Camus to describe the rapidly shifting demographic changes across France and other countries due to mass migration.

    The theory, which is characterised as a “conspiracy theory” in much of the French and international mainstream media, is believed by at least a quarter of the French population, according to a survey released in February of this year.

    The validity of the theory has also been mentioned or championed by several notable figures on the French right, including former populist MP and niece of Marine Le Pen, Marion Marechal.

    At a major right-wing conference held in Paris in September, Ms Marechal called on conservatives and populists to resist the Great Replacement, saying, “The first major challenge, the most vital, is the Great Replacement, this demographic countdown, which already makes us realise the possibility of becoming a minority in the land of our ancestors.”

    Last year, Breitbart London spoke to Renaud Camus in the first weeks of the Gilets Jaunes (Yellow Vest) protests, and he claimed that the movement was connected to the Great Replacement, saying, “The problem is that the protesters themselves are so far too close to the picture, too much inside it, to realise that their fight is part of the general struggle against global replacementism, Davocracy.””

    Non è stata propriamente una passeggiata di salute una delle tante sfilate dei Krampus che in questo periodo dell’anno si tengono in Alto Adige.

    Le immagini che vediamo sono riferite a Vipiteno. Una manifestazione tradizionale che successivamente sembra essersi trasformata però in una sorta di raid punitivo finito con un pestaggio un po’ troppo aggressivo di passanti.

    Ora si verificherà se il video è riferito proprio alla sfilata del 5 dicembre 2019, iniziata alle 18 per le vie del centro di Vipiteno. In ogni caso la contemporaneità dell’accaduto non è ciò che interessa maggiormente. Le immagini contenute in questo video sono destinate comunque a fare discutere.

    Il tutto rientra nella tradizione o si tratta di un caso in cui una certa aggressività sociale potrebbe avere preso il sopravvento? La parola resta ai più esperti di voi.

  38. Police in several European countries have arrested dozens of suspected Nigerian mafia members as the crime organisation spreads across Italy and the wider continent.

    Authorities in Italy, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Malta conducted the international operation, which was directed at two major Nigerian mafia groups. Police accuse the gangs of people-trafficking, drug trafficking, extortion, and prostitution, Agenzia Giornalistica Italia reports.

    When the final history of the Democrats’ impeachment kangaroo court is written, the most important result for American society will not be the removal of President Trump from office after a Senate trial. That has zero chance of happening.

    No, the most momentous thing to come out of this whole wasteful affair will be House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., successfully subpoenaing phone call records of President Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani and businessman Lev Parnas, who has been charged with campaign finance violations.

  40. JAVANRUD, Iran- Javanrud is a predominantly Kurdish border city of Kermanshah Province, Iran with a population of more than 50,000 residents.

    The population’s main source of income is cross-border trade with the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. However, their work, known to locals as kolbari ,was declared prohibited by the Iranian Council of Ministers on December 17, 2017 which has hit local residents hard.

    Kolbars are porters who transport goods across the Kurdistan Region-Iran border either on their back or with horses. Some also smuggle banned goods, including alcohol, into Iran.

    It is a risky profession, crossing dangerous mountain passes riddled with mines left over from the Iran-Iraq war. They also risk coming under fire from Iranian security forces.

    In the past two years, Javanrud kolbars and their families have tried hard to dissuade the government from prohibiting the trade, to no avail.

    Javanrud mayor Arash Lihony promised to discuss the issue with his superiors, but his efforts cost him his post and he was subsequently removed from office by the government.

    The people of Javanrud have barely managed to make a living in the past two years, yet the government has tightened the noose around their neck amid the continued economic crisis worsened by US sanctions.

    Somalia has issued a ban on Christmas celebrations in the Muslim-majority country after the Southeast Asian sultanate of Brunei announced a similar prohibition earlier this month with the threat of five years in jail.

    Sheikh Mohamed Khayrow, director general of Somalia’s religious affairs ministry, said on Tuesday that Christmas and New Year celebrations threatened the country’s Muslim faith.

    “There should be no activity at all,” he told reporters, adding security forces had been ordered to break up any such festivities.

    “All events related to Christmas and New Year celebrations are contrary to Islamic culture, which could damage the faith of the Muslim community.”

  43. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said a man was arrested for allegedly making racist gestures during the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

    A video circulating on social media after the match appeared to show a supporter aiming racist abuse at United midfielder Fred, and the Brazil international told ESPN Brasil he blamed the “backward society” for the incident.

    City released a statement in which they announced they would launch an investigation into the incident, and United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said it was “unacceptable.”

    “A man has been arrested after a video posted on social media showed a supporter making racist gestures at the Manchester City vs. Manchester United match at the Etihad Stadium yesterday,” a GMP statement released on Sunday read.

  44. CHICAGO, December 6, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – A study recently presented to the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) suggests that taking contraceptive pills may shrink a woman’s brain size.

    The study looked at MRI scans of 50 healthy women, 21 of whom were taking oral contraceptive pills, and found that “women taking birth control pills had significantly smaller hypothalamus volume.” The hypothalamus helps to regulate key bodily functions such as the appetite, heart rate, body temperature, and emotions.

    Dr. Michael Lipton, a professor of radiology and medical director of MRI Services at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City who led the study, said:

    “We found a dramatic difference in the size of the brain structures between women who were taking oral contraceptives and those who were not. We validated methods for assessing the volume of the hypothalamus and confirm, for the first time, that current oral contraceptive pill usage is associated with smaller hypothalamic volume.”

    German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas vowed “to promote the necessity of a new arms control architecture, including the new weapon systems.”

    German Bundestag SPD Member Siemtje Moeller argued that not meeting the two percent NATO spending target would not threaten security, which she attributed to “terror, by the rising China, by changing power structures, by Russia, by Trump, by Erdogan and surely by the climate.”

    Maas called transatlantic relations “unrecognisable” with US President Trump, as Lena Odell, an SPD politician from Munich, chastised “the wall he [Trump] wants to build.”

    “We criticise the situations in the camps in the USA, we criticise when people drown in the Rio Grande. The EU asylum politics is just as much as a shame,” she said.

    New SPD co-leader Norbert Walter-Borjans said that the SPD will move society forward and “kick out the rabble rousers and the mob from the parliaments, and that democracy proves its strength.” Co-leader Saskia Esken also called for a “renewed” government.
