I watched this last night.
Most of it is really excellent. But I have 2 caveats.
1. This film, although very well made in lots of ways, is so information rich that most people will not understand it at all if they don’t already understand it. It also does not go in to some of Alinsky’s worst actions the way the segment in Hillary’s America does, which I think is actually better at revealing Alinsky’s character.
It watches like reading Stephen Coughlin’s materials. Which are brilliant and even important. But they are not for the general public. People need to have some background on communism in general and the US communist movement at the time. Reading Whitaker Chambers for instance. or a lot of Diana West.
2. It is clearly made by Catholic groups, and although they do an excellent job for the most part of keeping a Catholic/propaganda aspect out of it, the closer you get to the end of the video, the more it becomes Catholic propaganda.
That begins especially when they claim that we should not ‘hate Alinsky because his motives to help the poor were good’. This is factually incorrect, and in my opinion, for the sake of sanctimony.
Alinsky was a communist elitist like all of them. he hated the poor like he hated all people. And like modern communists he weaponized the poor like his disciples weaponized every possible subgroup of people they could get to and even create, like ‘trans-people’ as a weapon against our very taxonomy.
Alinsky was the father of modern communist gaslighting.
If you can’t hate him for both his intentions and his methods, then there is nothing worthy of your hatred.
Overall its worth watching if you have enough pre-existing knowledge but it is NOT something to show friends who you are trying to educate. They will most likely sniff out the heavy Catholic propaganda elements within it and dismiss what is good because of it. That is the intellectually lazy thing to do, and intellectual laziness is the default, which is exactly why the West is where it is right now.

“The head of the international Red Cross has sharply criticised Britain’s policy of stripping the citizenship of people held in Syria after the fall of Islamic State, saying it is “not conducive” to long-term peace in the region.
Peter Maurer said the UK and other western countries also needed to consider repatriating children held with their mothers in Syria’s overcrowded refugee camps – at a time when the UK Home Office has said no more returns of British minors are in the pipeline.
Maurer, the president of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), told the Guardian that he “failed to see” how denying people such as 19-year-old Shamima Begum their nationality would help a crisis made more complex by the recent Turkish invasion.
“There are things which are probably not conducive to a solution and I fail to see at the present moment how stripping citizenship and making people stateless or just pushing or betting on a second nationality which should deal with the issue brings more clarity,” he said.
The UK has repeatedly stripped citizenship from people who travelled over to join Isis where it believes they have a valid second nationality, although Begum – who left east London when she was 15 – has challenged such a decision in the British courts, arguing that she has in fact been rendered stateless…”

Germany: An Arab attacked two young women with a gun+++
Early yesterday, Thursday morning, around 6 am, an armed man attacked two women at the junction of the streets Wörthstrasse and Markgrafenstrasse in Essen. Although the two women had noticed the Arab man before, they were surprised when he suddenly ran towards them, physically attacked them and threatened them with a gun. He violently prevented an emergency call by knocking the victim’s cell phone out of her hand.When the women loudly called for the police, the man fled. The unknown attacker is of Arab descent, about 30 years old, slim and about 170 cm tall. He has black hair and a short beard. At the time of the crime he was dressed in dark jeans, a petrol coloured jacket and a beige cap. The scene of the crime, which is located directly on the noise barrier of the A40 motorway, can only be seen to a limited extent. Residents who may have made any observations in connection with the attack are asked to report to the Essen police by calling 0201-8290 as soon as possible.

“A man who carried out a knife attack on London Bridge on Friday, killing two people and injuring several more, has been identified as 28-year-old Usman Khan, a convicted terrorist who was released last December on licence. The revelation about the convicted terrorist’s identity and his automatic release has unsurprisingly led to a public outcry.
How Many Years Did Attacker Spend in Prison?
Khan was involved with an al-Qaeda*-inspired group that was plotting to bomb the London Stock Exchange in 2010, as well as other administrative facilities in Britain. The group also planned to establish a terrorist training camp in Pakistan-administered Kashmir on land owned by Khan’s family, aiming to depart the UK in January 2011.
Khan, however, was captured shortly afterward and initially sentenced to an indeterminate time in jail, with the judge warning about his “serious” threat to society. The sentence was later struck down in the Court Appeal in April 2013, and he was then given a 16-year sentence.
“There is an argument for concluding that anyone convicted of such an offence should be incentivised to demonstrate that he can safely be released; such a decision is then better left to the Parole Board for consideration proximate in time to the date when release becomes possible”, Lord Justice Leveson reportedly said in 2013 with regard to Khan’s criminal case, as quoted by the Daily Mail.
The media reported that despite the Parole Board having to decide when Khan was safe to be released from jail, the panel itself confirmed in a statement that it had “no involvement” with the release of the identified attacker, meaning that he was released from prison “automatically on licence”, as required by law.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed on Friday that the terrorist was released from prison in December 2018 on an electronic tag, after serving only seven years.
“This individual was known to authorities, having been convicted in 2012 for terrorism offences”, Metropolitan Police assistant commissioner Neil Basu said in a statement. “He was released from prison in December 2018 on licence and clearly, a key line of enquiry now is to establish how he came to carry out this attack”.

“Following terror threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and cricket captain Virat Kohli in New Delhi, national security forces in India have been on heightened alert.
In order to crackdown on Daesh* in India, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids in two different cities in southern India’s state of Tamil Nadu (TN) on Saturday, seizing documents and laptops.
Along with six mobile phones, 11 SIM cards, a pen drive, a hard disk, a memory card, and five CDs, an axe was also confiscated by NIA officials during the raid.
The seized items will be submitted to Tamil Nadu’s special NIA court located in Ernakulam city for further forensic examination.
The raids were conducted at the houses of two suspected Daesh terrorists – Alavudeen and S. Sarfudeen in two different cities, Thanjavur and Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, an official statement from the NIA said on Saturday.
Named Mohammed Azarudheen and Shiek Hidayathulla, the terrorists arrested in June were part of a six-person team who were propagating the radical ideologies of Daesh on social media, intending to lure vulnerable youth from Kerela and Tamil Nadu into the self-declared caliphate.
Earlier, in October, the NIA received an anonymous letter claiming that the Indian national cricket team, and particularly its captain Kohli, as well as eminent political leaders including President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Modi, and Home Minister Amit Shah, were on a terror-hit list.
The anonymous letter also stated that the terror group “All India Lashkar” – functioning out of the coastal city of Kozhikode in India’s southern state of Kerala, might be responsible for targeting the Indian leaders.
The All India Lashkar terror organisation is part of the Pakistan-based terror organisation “Lashkar-e-Taiba”, which is thought to have been involved in several terror acts in India, including the 2001 parliament attack, the 2008 Mumbai attack, and the 2019 Pulwama attack on Indian security personnel in Jammu and Kashmir state.
Following continuous threat messages, Indian investigative agencies are being cautious.

How Swedish Professor’s Life Was Destroyed Over Raising Migrant Gang Rape Issue on Twitter (sputniknews, Nov 30, 2019)

“Sweden’s Jagarhar (#Iamhere), a left-leaning pro-government non-profit, dubbed by The Guardian “the online love army”, was meant to fight “hate speech” on the web. However, crossing Jagarhar’s path has cost a Swedish academic her career and later led to an abrupt arrest.
On 16 October 2019, Swedish scientist Bilyana Martinovski, Associate Professor in Human-Machine Interaction and PhD in Linguistics with an excellent 27-year academic record, was abruptly arrested at Stockholm Airport on her arrival from a vacation in Egypt. After being taken into custody by a total of about 10 armed policemen the academic was taken to a remote police station.
The only question she had was “Did they mistake me for a terrorist?”
Like any other law abiding Swedish citizen the professor believed that she had the right to due process. However, by Martinovski’s account, law enforcement officials treated her rudely and tactlessly not allowing her to be accompanied by a witness, explaining nothing and searching her body and belongings. She, furthermore, recollects that she was questioned without a lawyer being present.
The professor was taken by surprise: she had never been treated like this before. Martinovski is a Yugoslavian-born Bulgarian she has lived in Sweden for many years and was employed by Gothenburg University and later Stockholm University. She also spent eight years in the US, working for the University of California, Santa Barbara, and University of Southern California.
“They never mentioned any law articles or codes, didn’t serve me with a call for interrogation or a reason for such a call, didn’t even show me any documents authorising my arrest and interrogation, didn’t give me access to the police report, or to the prosecutors’ decision or to formulations of crimes they suspected me of, nothing”, she says.
After keeping the academic at the police station for hours law enforcement officials eventually took DNA samples without asking for her consent.
She was released late at night and cast out of the police building into the dark cold streets of a suburban Stockholm area completely unknown to her.
The Gothenburg police office that is investigating the Martinovski case did not provide any details on the circumstances of the professor’s sudden arrest to a Sputnik journalist.
“The public prosecutor, Sara Toreskog, who is the person in charge of this investigation has decided not to give out anything regarding the investigation for now. This because it is an ongoing investigation”, Criminal Inspector Susanna Carlsen wrote on 28 October in response to the journalist’s request for information.
Martinovski recalls that after the DNA sampling, the police officer read her the following sentence: “You are here because you are a suspect of a libel on Twitter against Kajsa Klein [Jagarhar communications leader] which caused her distress (‘ofredande’) in the period between September 2017 and [March or May] 2018′”.
Jagarhar: The “Online Love Army” Silencing Dissenting Views
Klein is a member of Jagarhar, a pro-government network of tens of thousands of volunteers monitoring social media that was founded by Iranian-born Swedish journalist Mina Dennert on 13 May 2016. The organisation’s declared aim is to fight hatred and xenophobia on the web. To that end Jagarhar holds social media debates, writes articles, delivers lectures, carries out investigations, and reports “questionable” web content to the authorities.
The group quickly came to prominence being lauded in the Swedish government’s 2017 action plan “To the defence of the free word” (“Till det fria ordets försvar”) as a viable tool to fight online extremism. Samhällsnytt reporter Egor Putilov – an alias for Swedish journalist Martin Dahlin – revealed that Swedish celebrities and even some government officials had joined the network’s ranks.
Jagarhar’s campaigns, however, are very often directed at journalists, opinion makers, and debaters on the conservative and libertarian half of Sweden’s political spectrum, Dahlin noted referring to Swedish authors Katerina Janouch and Ann Heberlein, who have also been targeted by the anti-hate group.
One of the issues of particular interest to Jagarhar is migrant-related crimes, the discussion of which has been regarded as racism and right-wing extremism by the group, as a Jagarhar insider outlined in his/her story published by Janouch in her blog Katerina Magasine in July 2017.
Ann Heberlein, a co-author of “Tyst! Hotet mot yttrandefriheten” (“Quiet! The threat to freedom of speech”), highlighted that the “anti-hate” group had reported about 700 people to the police for thoughts they’ve expressed online. Police reports, in some cases with convictions, have hit many undeservedly, the journalist argued.
Blackout of Gang Rape Stories
Martinovski’s case is no exception from this trend. The story started in September 2017 when a spike in gang rapes sparked a heated debate on the web amid the government’s open border policy and mainstream Swedish media’s blackout of stories concerning growing crime rates in the country.
Martinovski recalls that the media silence prompted her to search for information on the web. In the Spring of 2017, she stumbled upon a US-hosted and now defunct website, GangRapeSweden.com, that presented court verdicts on gang rape cases from 2011 to 2017 in Sweden. She says that she was shocked both by the huge number of cases and the detailed descriptions of hideous sexual assaults mostly committed by newcomers from the Middle East, Central Asia, and Africa. The professor notes that she couldn’t believe her eyes and decided to check the data.
“I called the courts and asked for the court ledgers over all gang rapes between 2011 and 2017. The court ledgers I got from the courts showed about 50,000 rape cases but less than 7 percent [of attackers] were convicted”, the academic says, adding that the majority of convicted gang rapists came from outside of Europe.
During the refugee crisis that has engulfed Europe since 2015, Sweden accepted more refugees per capita than any other country. Between 2013 and 2018, 806,155 people were awarded residency in the Scandinavian state, i.e. almost 10 percent of the entire population.
Martinovski was seriously concerned about the underreported gang rape situation in the country, especially given the fact that those foreign assailants were not deported from Sweden thus posing a danger to other women.
The professor, however, soon found out that GangRapeSweden and other sites containing information about migrant-related sex abuse were reported and shut down at the request of left-leaning Swedish organisations, in particular, Jagarhar.
On 16 September 2017, Martinovski raised the topic on her private Twitter account expressing bewilderment over Jagarhar’s attempts to silence the gang rape issue, while one of the entity’s declared aims was to fight harassment and predatory sexual behaviour.
In one of her tweets, she called out Kajsa Klein, Jagarhar’s communications strategist, for censuring dissenting voices which prompted the left-leaning organisation to attack the academic.
Jagarhar’s Kajsa Klein Took Action
In response, Kajsa Klein wrote a series of denunciations to Martinovski’s employers and colleagues accusing the professor of alt-right sympathies and xenophobia. The social network group proved to be very influential as the academic was soon fired from Stockholm University, being deprived of a research affiliation and any possibility of finding a job in higher educational establishments in Sweden.

“My name is Kajsa Klein and the past week I was slandered on Twitter by a person whose name is Bilyana Martinovski, who links to you in her Twitter profile”, the Jagarhar strategist wrote to Martinovski’s employers at Gothenburg University on 21 September 2017. “Apparently, her webpage is ssski.gu.se/bilyana? Guess this person is no longer working with you? Until Monday she used to be an affiliated researcher at Stockholm University’s DSV, but they decided to break off with her because of her tweeting. I would like to inform you about this, which is a police matter and part of a larger doxxing of Jagarhar, where I am active by far-right extremists, and which the newspaper Dagens Nyheter wrote about”.

In another letter, addressed to the head of a Section of Communication and Semantics at Gothenburg University, Klein claimed that Martinovski is an “alt-right” extremist: “Yes, far-right, alt-right, etc. SU [Stockholm University] said the only thing she appears to like is Putin. Maybe Trump… The case rests with the democracy and hate speech department of the Stockholm Police”.
In a post scriptum Klein noted: “If I were you, I would have contacted her (I know that Uno Fors of SU has her gmail address) and urged her to stop linking to GU [Gothenburg University]. If I were you I would also have taken down her page (if it is true that she no longer works with you). Just a suggestion though…”
Commenting on these letters, the professor highlights that her private Twitter account “has never claimed to represent SU or GU”. “Donald Trump has become the first president to invoke the Patriot Act in order to detain a man behind bars indefinitely – despite the fact he completed the duration of his criminal sentence and should’ve been released nearly three-years-ago.
Since the war of terror was officially declared 18-years-ago, Adham Amin Hassoun, who is now in his late 50s, has spent the near-majority of his time behind bars, having first been arrested on a immigration violation in June 2002.
Hassoun stood trial alongside once-suspected ‘dirty bomber’ Jose Padilla, though the crimes he was specifically accused of were not for acts or plots of violence – he was found guilty of cutting checks to extremist-linked Muslim charities outlawed by Congress after the 9/11 attacks.
All of Hassoun’s checks but one were written before the devastation of September 11. He was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, and was scheduled to be released in 2017.
However, Hassoun remains under the detention of ICE officials in New York after the Trump administration enacted Section 412 of the Patriot Act – for this first time in history – citing him as a continued threat to national security.
ICE officials wanted to deport Hassoun from the country after his criminal sentence concluded in 2017, however his statelessness as a Palestinian prevent such a motion. Neither his birth-country of Lebanon nor the Israel that occupies the West Bank and Gaza were willing to supply him refuge.
Backed by a team of attorneys from the University of Buffalo Law School, in January Hassoun won a legal battle that should have led to his freedom, on the grounds that his deportation was unlikely.
However, the Trump administration instead declared him as a threat to national security, first using an obscure immigration regulation designed to circumvent a 2001 Supreme Court ruling allowing for no more than six months detention.
The move was said to be aided by sealed testimony outlining Hassoun’s alleged misdeeds behind bars by what his attorney’s say were issued by other inmates offering second and third-hand accounts of his purported wrongful conduct to authorities.
However, Hassoun’s situation worsened when the government began actively fighting what became a habeas corpus case for his release.
Under the orders of the Trump administration, the Department of Homeland Security invoked, for the first time in US history, section 412 of the Patriot Act.
The clause allows the government to perpetually detain non-citizens imprisoned on American soil who cannot be deported and are deemed on ‘reasonable grounds’ to be engaged in ‘activity that endangers the national security of the United States.’
Hassoun was informed by former acting secretary of Homeland Security, Kevin McAleenan, on August 9 that, ‘you will therefore remain in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) pending your removal from the United States or reconsideration of this decision,’ the Daily Beast reported.
Hassoun’s attorneys expressed their astonishment in federal court Friday at the invocation of Section 412.
The argued the provision of the Patriot Act is written to ‘take a [non-citizen] into custody,’ not to retroactively brand someone who’s already in detention as a national threat.
‘If the government were to prevail in its claim of extraordinary and unprecedented executive power, the government would be free to lock up non-citizens indefinitely based solely on executive say-so, even after they completed serving their sentences,’ Jonathan Hafetz, a lawyer with the American Civil Liberties Union, told the court, as reported by the Daily Beast.
In justification for the invocation, McAleen said he did so because Hassoun had taken on a ‘leadership role’ in a criminal conspiracy to recruit fighters and provide materials in support of terrorist organisations.
McAleen said Hassoun, who first moved to the US in 1989, poses a ‘continuing threat to recruit, plan, participate in, and provide material support for terrorist activity.’
However, an entirely different perspective was offered by the presiding judge, Marcia G. Cooke, who said in 2008 there was ‘no evidence that these defendants personally maimed, killed or kidnapped anyone in the United States or elsewhere.’
Cooke added the government was unable to find any ‘identifiable victims’ as a result of his actions.
As a result she specifically rejected the life sentence sought after by the Justice Department, pointing out that years of government surveillance on him yielded no cause for his criminal arrest.
‘This fact does not support the government’s argument that Mr. Hassoun poses such a danger to the community that he needs to be imprisoned for the rest of his life,’ the judge concluded.
Also contradicting the opinions of McAleen are two professors from the University of Buffalo Law School, Nicole Hallett and Jonathan Manes, who meet with Hassoun almost weekly at the ICE detention facility in Batavia.
The two professors say Hassoun acts as a fatherly figure to other fellow Muslim detainees, aiding their court cases by scouring through law books in the facility’s library – even waking up early every day to help prepare breakfast for the 30-or-so others he finds himself incarcerated with.
Hallet says both the shock of Hassoun remaining in custody after serving his time, in addition to the unprecedented usage of Section 412, acts as a testimony to the degradation of the rule of law in the wake of 9/11.
‘This is Guantanamo on domestic soil,’ she told the Daily Beast. ‘The government is trying to detain him as long as it wants, and that prison happens to be in Batavia, New York, not at Guantanamo Bay.’
‘The government’s repeated and now unprecedented efforts to keep our client in prison indefinitely and without charge are unconstitutional,’ a statement posted to ACLU later added.
While Hassoun is said to be mentally strong, his physical health is ailing. Twice in the Batavia facility he has been hospitalized, his attorneys claim, after carrying out hunger strikes to protest his incarceration and subsequently aggravating his diabetes and pre-existing heart condition.
Hassoun has since theorized that his prosecution is the consequent of his decision to not turn into a federal informant while in immigration custody in 2002.
His attorneys say he isn’t fighting deportation and would be willing to leave the country for anywhere that would take him.
‘He feels quite a bit of angst over [the fact that] he had served his sentence and feels like he should be released,’ Hallett told the Daily Beast. ‘He’s worried about dying in prison.’

Violent rhetoric inevitably leads to violent threats, and ultimately, violent acts.’
Stella’s tweets came after Kuwaiti-born Alan Bender claimed in a lawsuit filed in Florida in October that Qatar ‘recruited Ilhan Omar from even way before she thought about becoming a government official’ and ‘groomed her’.
In the case against the Emir of Qatar’s brother, Bender said in a deposition that Omar received cash payments. She has denied the allegations, calling them absurd.
Stella has previously said that if she is elected to Congress, she will work towards reducing crime rates.
Stella has also tweeted in the past that U.S. representatives who fail to uphold the law should be made to leave office.
Stella is reportedly a supporter of the QAnon conspiracy theory, which claims that high-profile Democrats are involved in a pedophile ring that President Trump is trying to dismantle.
She has repeatedly used the hashtag #WWG1WGA on Twitter, which is a reference to QAnon’s motto: ‘Where we go one, we go all.’
In July, she was accused of shoplifting 279 items from a suburban Target earlier this year.
A criminal complaint says Danielle Stella stole items valued at more than $2,000 from Target in January. She allegedly told police she doesn’t remember anything after arriving at Target, due to post-traumatic stress disorder.

Hong Kong seniors rally to back students as activists decry police actions
HONG KONG (Reuters) – Secondary school students and retirees joined forces to protest in Hong Kong on Saturday, the first of several weekend rallies planned across the city, as pro-democracy activists vowed to battle what they say are police brutality and unlawful arrests.
A top Hong Kong official said the government was looking into setting up an independent committee to review the handling of the crisis, in which demonstrations have become increasingly violent since they began more than five months ago.

Police in the Netherlands arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the stabbings of three teenagers on the Grote Marktstraat in Den Haag. The man, with no fixed address, was being taken to a police station where investigators planned to interrogate him, Den Haag police said in a statement.
No suspected motive was released immediately after the arrest. Earlier on Saturday, authorities went so far as to say, “The precise nature of the incident is currently unclear.”
The victims include two 15-year-old girls, one from Alphen aan den Rijn and one from Leiderdorp, and a 13-year-old boy from Den Haag. “The victims do not know each other,” police said earlier on Saturday. All three were released from the hospital shortly before midnight.
The incident took place Friday at about 7:45 p.m. in front of the Hudson’s Bay location on the famed shopping street.as people filled the area looking for Black Friday deals. A Hudson’s Bay spokesperson told broadcaster NOS that the teenage girls who were stabbed ran into the store in a panic after they were injured.
“I saw two girls screaming and running away. A man fled,” one witness said, according to the broadcaster. “He jumped very athletically over benches to get away. He looked like a cheetah.”
Ambulances and police officers raced to the scene, and a trauma team was dispatched by helicopter. The crime scene was secured, the victims were transported to an area hospital, and forensic experts combed the crime scene looking for trace evidence.
Investigators were able to question the victims, who were also offered support service. Anyone who witnessed the crime, or who was in the area and shocked by what happened, was also able to contact police to be connected with victim assistance.
Authorities also asked that anyone contact them with information, pictures, or videos related to the crime.

Until 2017, the German Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) granted 67.3 per cent of converts asylum, but that number has halved since then, with just 36.3 per cent of converts currently gaining refugee status, Die Welt reports.
In some areas, such as Berlin, the asylum acceptance rate for converts is even lower at just ten per cent.
Pastor Gottfried Martens spoke to the newspaper and acknowledged that there are people, who he refers to as “black sheep”, who do abuse conversion to have a better chance at getting asylum, but claimed those people were an exception rather than the majority.
Martens, who is a part of the Independent Evangelical Lutheran Church, said that he puts candidates through months of weekly classes and holds an exam to test biblical knowledge to ensure converts are sincere about conversion. Martens claims to have baptised over 1,000 former Muslims.
German judges and BAMF, however, have taken the view that churches may be baptising migrants to allow them to stay in Germany and avoid deportation.
The suspicions are not new, as in 2017 Braunschweiger Criminal Police chief Ulf Küche expressed the same sentiment, pointing to a case in which a migrant had converted to Christianity after committing arson to avoid being deported.
Many conversions may be legitimate, however, and those coming from countries such as Iran potentially face the death penalty for apostasy if they are deported to their country of origin.
Many others face abuse in asylum homes from Muslims angered by their conversion even in their new countries.
A former imam from Pakistan who converted to Christianity after coming to Germany told the tabloid Bild earlier this year that he faces death threats from people in his native country, some of which have come from his own family.”

China Adopts Malicious “Cybersecurity” Rules

On January 1, China’s Cryptography Law becomes effective. The legislation follows the December 1 implementation of the Multi-Level Protection Scheme 2.0, issued under the authority of the 2016 Cybersecurity Law.
Together, these measures show Beijing’s absolute determination to seize from foreign companies all their communications, data, and other information stored in electronic form in China.
President Trump should use his emergency powers to prohibit American companies from complying with the new rules or from storing data in China.
After all these “cybersecurity” rules are in place, no foreign company may encrypt data so that it cannot be read by the Chinese central government and the Communist Party of China. In other words, businesses will be required to turn over encryption keys.
Companies will also be prohibited from employing virtual private networks to keep data secret, and some believe they will no longer be allowed to use private servers.
Beijing’s system, once implemented, will be so invasive that Chinese authorities will no longer need to ask foreign businesses to turn over data. Chinese officials will simply be able to take that data on their own.

“The European parties to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) have failed to take practical measures to fulfill their commitments under the agreement, namely to ensure Iran’s economic interests, the spokesman for the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission said on Saturday.
“The purpose of steps to reduce JCPOA obligations is to change the behavior of the other party, and the reason for taking these steps is to protest the other party’s failure to fulfill its obligations … it has had no effect on the other party so far as it has fulfilled no commitment”, Hossein Naqavi Hosseini told Tasnim news agency.
On Wednesday, French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian warned that the mechanism re-enacting sanctions against Iran might be launched due to Tehran’s non-compliance with obligations under the nuclear deal.
Earlier in November, the fourth stage of reducing the JCPOA obligations was implemented, as part of which Iran started enriching uranium at the Fordow Fuel Enrichment Plant.
In May, a year after the US unilateral withdrawal from the nuclear deal, Tehran announced it would gradually abandon its JCPOA obligations every 60 days unless the other signatories helped ensure Iran’s interests…”
