Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

This is the new Samizdat. We must use it while we can.

    • Those who criticize or mock Trump are utter fools. Trump made a fortune in real estate, he’s used to wheeling and dealing and outperforming his opponents.

      So he removed 50 troops and everybody thought all USA presence had left. The perfect lure to con the enemy into showing itself.

      • Erdogan knew, remember Erodgan wants to be the first Caliph of the new Ottoman Empire. After Isis lost its territory and the chance to create a new Sunni Islamic Empire they started sucking up to Erdogan to gain protection.

    Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has categorically stated he will not give way to the corrupt who destroyed the country’s economy in the past.

    Khan’s statement came against the backdrop of a demand to release former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, whose health has deteriorated over the last few weeks, under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) for the jailed.

    Under the NRO, a controversial law issued by Pakistan’s former President General Pervez Musharraf on 5 October 2007, around 8,000 politicians, political workers and bureaucrats who were accused of corruption, embezzlement, and money laundering received amnesty.

    “At 20 least foreign nationals were arrested on Monday in Ankara for their suspected links to the Daesh* terrorist organisation, the Anadolu news agency reported.

    The suspects were detained by the provincial police department’s counterterrorism units, according to the Anadolu news agency.

    The Turkish authorities said that over 300 people have been killed in civilian-targeted suicide bombings and armed attacks claimed by the terrorist group in Turkey over recent years. The Turkish security forces have been actively involved in the fight against terrorism.

    A day earlier, US President Donald Trump announced having hunted down Baghdadi in Syria’s Idlib and thanked Russia, Iraq, Syria and Turkey for their assistance in the course of the operation. Russia, in particular, “treated [the US military] great” and opened the Syrian airspace under its control for the US fleet of helicopters to access Baghdadi, the US president claimed. The Russian Defence Ministry said that it had possessed no reliable data about the US operation and had reasons to question the realness of it.

    On 9 October, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the launch of Operation Peace Spring in northern Syria. The offensive is part of Ankara’s goal to clear its Syria-facing border area of terrorists and the terrorist-designated Kurdish militants as well as create a safe zone for the relocation of Syrian refugees, who are currently residing in Turkey.

    Following the talks between Erdogan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, a Russian-Turkish memorandum was signed on 22 October in Russia’s Sochi, which stipulates that within 150 hours Kurdish militants would be withdrawn to a distance of 30 kilometres from the border with Turkey to the west and east of the operation zone. A 10-point memorandum of understanding stipulated that units of Russian military police and Syrian border control be deployed on the Syrian edge of the area within which Turkey launched its Operation Peace Spring.

    “The Danish police reported that Copenhagen’s gangs may actually be targetting embattled right-wing leader Rasmus Paludan, who opposes Islam and mass immigration and regularly burns the Quran to celebrate free speech.

    Rasmus Paludan, leader of the immigration-critical Danish party Stram Kurs (“Hard Line”), was evacuated by the police after being attacked with powerful firecrackers during a campaign meeting in the imigrant-dense area of Tingbjerg.

    “He was evacuated after holding the demonstration for 20 minutes”, Leif Hansen of the Copenhagen Police told Danish TV2.

    As seen in the video provided by the party himself, Paludan’s speech is interrupted by powerful bangs. According to an eyewitness, the first firecracker was hurled from the roof of the building opposite Paludan. The next explosion occurred in Paludan’s immediate proximity. A window pane behind the party leader was also shattered.

    After the third explosion, the police did not take any chances. Officers hurried the politician away from the scene and ushered him into a waiting black BMW.

    Despite the police presence, no perpetrator was arrested for the attack.

    “We haven’t got hold of those who did it”, Leif Hansen told Ekstra Bladet.

    Stram Kurs wrote the meetings are aimed at protesting the police’s failure to maintain Denmark’s freedom of assembly and demonstration.

    Meanwhile, the Copenhagen Police have reportedly received information indicating that gangs operating in western Copenhagen are “directly going after” Paludan, a renowned critic of Islam and immigration.

    According to police inspector Mogens Lauridsen, the threats levelled at Paludan and his demonstrations have “changed character from general trouble and unrest to that gangs may actually be targetting Paludan”.

    “There is no doubt that the gang environment has a great focus on Rasmus Paludan. We have heard that no matter where he appears, the gangs will not accept his presence. That’s not what we usually see. There is usually a larger division of territory, where you stick to your own”, Mogens Lauridsen told the newspaper Berlingske.
    Rasmus Paludan has been attacked several times before in connection with his demonstrations in immigrant areas.

    After a short pause, when Stram Kurs were unable to demonstrate in Copenhagen for security reasons, Paludan marked his comeback by burning the Quran, a recurrent feat of his, which he celebrates as the triumph of freedom of speech and religion. This past weekend, he burned the Quran in Nørrebro and Christianshavn…”

    “CRIMINALS are selling the means to create a British passport for just £2.30, an investigation reveals.

    Fraudsters give customers the chance to download quality templates from Dark Web marketplaces, where prices range from £2.30 to £20. Templates allow “customers” to fill out their own personal details in the DIY passport. They also sell fake documents that can be used to apply for UK passports and driving licences.

    This is far cheaper than other European countries, with templates for French, German, Spanish and Dutch passports ranging from £35 to £40.

    A completed UK passport is available for around £1,000.

    Cloned credit cards and packages of enough personal information “for a criminal to steal and profit from a victim’s identity” are available for around £670.

    Experts warned these marketplaces do not require specialist knowledge or contacts to access.

    Toby Perkins MP, of the Home Affairs Select Committee, said: “These revelations are very concerning and show the extent to which ‘professional’ criminal gangs can make their products available and offer a serious threat to a nation’s ability to ensure that only people entitled to be here are here.

    “It requires significant resources and cooperation between governments to combat this threat and I’m sure the Home Affairs Select Committee will wish to learn more about what the Home Office is doing to identify the scale of the threat and stay one step ahead of these criminal enterprises.”

    The National Cyber Security Centre has acknowledged the threat, saying: “Increasingly, criminal gangs are using criminal marketplaces in cyberspace to buy and sell personal information and credit card details.”

    Ian Gray, of business intelligence firm Flashpoint, which carried out the research, said: “Cybercrime communities continue to thrive.

    “Passports are protected by numerous anti-fraud measures such as certain card stock, ink, perforations, patterns and more.

    “Bypassing these security measures is difficult. But it is a challenge many operating within cybercrime communities have accepted, and some are finding success.

    “Those with higher quality documents and proficiency in bypassing anti-fraud measures can demand a premium for passports.

    “It is not completely easy to access these marketplaces…But there are more accessible markets where these goods are being sold.””

    Holed up underground and living in fear, al-Baghdadi detonated his suicide vest, killing himself, three of his children and two of his wives. The coward was flushed out during a daring special forces raid on Saturday.

    Prime Minister Boris Johnson hailed the coup as “an important moment in our fight against terror” but warned the battle against Isis was not yet won.

    Announcing news of his death, President Trump said yesterday: “The United States brought the world’s number one terrorist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead.

    “He was the founder and leader of Isis, the most ruthless and violent terror organisation anywhere in the world…”

      • Remember how the Military Chiefs hid the plan to kill bin Laden from Obama so he couldn’t cancel it and how Obama was playing golf during the operation because he knew nothing about it until we had boots on the ground and it was too late to cancel?

      Saudi Arabia hails US raid that killed Al-Baghdadi

      RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Monday hailed the killing of Daesh leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi who had “distorted” the image of Islam, and hailed his killing.

      Al-Baghdadi was killed by US special forces in northwest Syria and “died a coward” by blowing himself up after he was cornered in a tunnel, Donald Trump said Sunday.

      House Intelligence Committee chair Adam Schiff, D-Calif., said a witness’ failure to appear before lawmakers in the impeachment inquiry indicates his testimony would have corroborated other accounts of wrongdoing by President Donald Trump.

    “A Michigan family was shocked to find a space satellite in their yard Saturday morning,” reports a local TV station:
    Nancy Mumby-Welke shared the video on Facebook, walking up to a satellite lying on its side. “You never know what’s going to happen,” Welke says in the video. “This baby fell out of the sky and landed in our yard,” she went on to say.

    According to the Gratiot County Herald, Welke heard the crash around 8:45 a.m. just before they were going to let their horses out. “Thank God none of the horses were out and it didn’t land on the house,” Welke explained in the video. Welke says when she walked up to it, the satellite was still humming and whirring…

    The Herald says Samsung representatives will pick up the equipment from the Welkes’ property.

    In an announcement last week Samsung said their satellite “pushes the boundaries of innovation.” That announcement also promised a “bold, out-of-this-world mission… demonstrating the pioneering spirit of its brand and setting a new standard for the potential of mobile technology.”

    The announcement said the satellite “will showcase the strength of Samsung’s innovations and how it continues to design products that make what was previously impossible, possible.” And it quotes their chief marketing officer for Europe as promising “we will show that amazing things continue to happen using Samsung technology.”

    In a statement to the Detroit Free Press, Samsung blamed the “early soft landing” during the satellite’s planned descent on the weather. “We regret any inconvenience this may have caused.”

    “Libya’s coast guard said Monday it intercepted dozens of Europe-bound migrants off the country’s Mediterranean coast the previous day.

    A rubber boat with 53 African migrants, including 14 women and two children, was stopped off Libya’s western town of Abu-Kemmash, about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) from Tunisia, said the coast guard spokesman, Ayoub Gassim.

    The migrants were returned to shore late on Sunday and taken to a detention center in the capital, Tripoli, he added.

    Libya has emerged as a major transit point for migrants fleeing war and poverty to Europe. In recent years, the EU has partnered with Libya’s coast guard and other local groups to stem the dangerous sea crossings.

    Rights groups, however, say those policies leave migrants at the mercy of armed groups or confined in squalid detention centers rife with abuses.

    The humanitarian aid group Sea-Eye has said that gunmen on Libya-flagged speedboats threatened the crew of its rescue ship Alan Kurdi and the migrants it was rescuing on Saturday, firing shots into the air and water.

    The group’s spokesman Gorden Isler told The Associated Press that the incident shocked the rescue crew but that they managed to bring all the roughly 90 migrants on board.

    The gunmen on the speedboats fired “warning shots” and pointed mounted guns at the rescuers and the migrants, some of whom had jumped into the water, before pulling away.

    The ship later headed north, toward Europe, Islaer added.”

    HONG KONG (Reuters) – Hong Kong has fallen into recession, hit by five months of anti-government protests that erupted in flames at the weekend, and is unlikely to achieve any growth this year, the city’s Financial Secretary said.

    Black-clad and masked demonstrators set fire to shops and hurled petrol bombs at police on Sunday following a now-familiar pattern, with police responding with tear gas, water cannon and rubber bullets.

    TV footage showed protesters, who streamed into the Kowloon hotel and shopping artery of Nathan Road on Sunday, setting fire to street barricades and squirting petrol from plastic bottles on to fires at subway entrances amid running battles with police.

    At one station, activists rolled a flaming metal barrel down a long staircase toward police below.

    “The blow (from the protests) to our economy is comprehensive,” Paul Chan said in a blog post, adding that a preliminary estimate for third-quarter GDP on Thursday would show two successive quarters of contraction – the technical definition of a recession.

    He also said it would be “extremely difficult” to achieve the government’s pre-protest forecast of 0-1 % annual economic growth.

    “The UN-backed government in Libya has ordered the arrest of a man described as one of the world’s most notorious human traffickers, who was this month revealed to have attended meetings between Italian officials and a Libyan delegation to discuss controls on migration flows from north Africa.

    In a note released on Monday by the interior ministry in Tripoli, authorities said Abd al-Rahman Milad, described by the UN security council as a ruthless human trafficker suspected of drowning dozens of people, was “a wanted man and an arrest warrant was issued against him”.

    The alleged trafficker’s presence at meetings in Sicily and Rome in May 2017, first documented by the newspaper Avvenire, has sparked criticism of the then interior minister, Marco Minniti. Three months earlier, Minniti had signed a memorandum with the leader of Libya’s government, Fayez al-Sarraj, for cooperation with the Libyan coastguard, which included the provision of four patrol vessels.

    The deal empowered the Libyan coastguard to intercept migrant boats at sea and redirect them to Libya, where aid agencies say refugees are tortured and abused.

    The alleged trafficker, commonly known as Bija, was introduced at the meeting as “a commander of the Libyan coastguard”, Avvenire said. Minniti has denied any wrongdoing, saying Italy was unaware of the allegations of Bija’s criminal activities at the time.

    The issuing of the arrest warrant follows a recent video interview with the trafficker in the city of Zawiya, aired on Friday evening by the popular Italian television programme Propaganda Live.

    Bija, who was wearing a coastguard uniform, told the investigative journalist Francesca Mannocchi that during his trip to Italy he had been invited to take part in meetings at the “ministry of justice and ministry of the interior in Rome”. When asked if he had met Minniti, Bija said: “I don’t know, maybe …”

    The Italian journalists Nello Scavo, from Avvenire, who first documented Bija’s presence in Italy, and Nancy Porsia, who first wrote about the smuggler’s criminal activities early in 2017, have been given police protection in recent weeks.”

      Two people have been injured after shots were fired near a mosque in Bayonne in southwest France on Monday, police said.

      The suspect, who is believed to be aged 84 and a former Front National candidate in 2015 local elections, was arrested near his home after fleeing the scene.

      Local officials say the suspect was trying to set fire to the mosque door when he shot the two men, aged 78 and 74, who had tried to stop his attempt. One was reportedly hit in the chest and remains in a serious, but not critical condition.

      It is believed that the incident also involved a small explosion, understood to be from a petrol can set on fire near the place of worship. The suspect reportedly hurled an incendiary device into the mosque and then fled in his car, where a gas canister was later found.

      Currently the motive for the attack remains unknown. The suspect, who is said to have no police record and was not on the radar of French intelligence agencies, is being questioned at a Bayonne police station.

      Patrice Peyruqueou, a police union official in Bayonne, said: “The suspect threw an incendiary device at the mosque and then fled in his car. He was arrested outside his home.”

      David Habib, a local Socialist MP, said: “The individual shot two people, injuring one in the chest. One of those hurt is a serious condition.”

      Marine Le Pen, the leader of the Front National, now renamed National Rally, tweeted: “The attack on the #Bayonne mosque is an unspeakable act that is absolutely contrary to all the values of our movement. These crimes must be treated with the utmost severity.”

      In a pre-recorded interview with RTL radio broadcast on Monday, Emmanuel Macron, the French president, said he planned to fight, alongside Muslim leaders, against religious sectarianism and resistance among some French Muslims to integrate.

      “It is a fact that a form of separatism has taken root in some places in our Republic, in other words a desire to not live together and to not be in the Republic,” he said.

      “It is in the name of a religion, namely Islam,” he said.

      The attack took place just hours after Mr Macron’s comments were aired.

    EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: The challenging geography of Greece makes it hard for the country to take full advantage of its natural resources and expand its energy grid. Though it has doubled its share of renewables, it needs to redouble those efforts to reach the EU’s ambitious goal of covering a third of its energy needs from renewable sources by 2030. The Greek islands that have been at the forefront of the migration and refugee crises would particularly benefit from a targeted policy to reach that goal, as the transition would increase their energy security, reduce their energy costs, and diversify their economies. Greece has the potential to be a model of sustainability that would enhance the stability of the entire Eastern Med.

The more prosperous and dynamic islands would be in a much better position to address migration pressures, which are making a comeback in the Aegean.     Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley announced that two people had been taken into custody and are being held at a secure location during a press briefing alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper on Monday at the Pentagon.

    Milley did not reveal any additional information about the detainees or how they were connected to al-Baghdadi, but they are believed to have surrendered during the raid.

    Between 50 and 70 members of the US Army Delta Force and Rangers closed in on al-Baghdadi’s hideout in Syria’s Idlib province on Saturday evening, prompting the ISIS mastermind to flee into a dead-end underground tunnel where he detonated his suicide vest, killing himself and his three children.

    Milley could not confirm President Donald Trump’s description of al-Baghdadi as ‘whimpering and crying’ in his final moments.

    The general said he suspected Trump got that information ‘directly to the unit members’.

    Al-Baghdadi’s remains were taken to a secure facility to confirm his identity with forensic DNA testing, Milley said.

    ‘The disposal of his remains has been done, is complete and was handled appropriately,’ he added.

    Milley would not confirm reports that al-Baghdadi was buried at sea, as was top Al-Qaeda terrorist Osama bin Laden after he was killed by US forces in a similar helicopter raid in Pakistan in 2011.

    Officials have not disclosed the total number killed in the firefight, but President Trump said the casualties outnumbered the captured.

    Two of al-Baghdadi’s ‘wives’, both wearing suicide vests which thankfully did not detonate, were killed, along with a large number of the leader’s ‘fighters and companions’.

    US troops reportedly helped get 11 children out of the compound alive.

    Milley said the soldiers also gathered a cache of documents which could provide vital intelligence about the Islamic State’s origins and future plans.

    The general added that there were photos and videos of al-Baghdadi’s final moments, which could be released at a later date once they are vetted and declassified.

    He declined to provide the name of the K-9 who was injured in the firefight. No other US military members were injured.

    While al-Baghdadi’s death has deprived IS of its ‘inspirational leader,’ the security situation in Syria ‘remains complex’, Defense Secretary Esper told reporters.

    He added that US troops were in position to retain control of key oil fields in northeast Syria.

    American forces will remain positioned in the strategic area ‘to deny ISIS access to those vital resources’, and ‘overwhelming military force’ will be used against any group that threatens their safety, Esper added.

    Al-Baghdadi’s death will not rid the world of terrorism or end Syria’s ongoing conflict, but it sends ‘a message to those who would question America’s resolve’, he said.

John Ratcliffe said Sunday that it “is not a coincidence” the investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation morphed into a criminal matter just as the Justice Department’s inspector general is set to release a report of FBI surveillance abuse against the Trump campaign.

    Ratcliffe was responding to reports that John Durham, the U.S. attorney in Connecticut, is conducting a criminal investigation into the origins of the Russia probe.

    “I don’t believe in coincidences, and the end of the inspector general’s investigation and his impending report coming at the same time as the start of John Durham announcing that this is now a criminal probe is not a coincidence,” Ratcliffe, a Republican member of the House Intelligence Committee, said on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”

    Attorney General William Barr tasked Durham in May with conducting an administrative review of the matter. The pair traveled to Italy together in September to meet with Italian intelligence officials as part of the investigation.

    The Dearborn Public Schools website states it matter-of-factly: “Dearborn Public Schools ensures all meats served in our schools are certified Halal.” Now one courageous mother is fighting back, challenging Dearborn public school officials to explain why they have done this and to provide options for students who object to halal food.

    The mother wrote to Dearborn schools superintendent Glenn Maleyko, noting, “Schools have never changed lunches to fit any other religious needs. If one needed a special diet due to religion or health, they did what all other students do, bring a lunch from home.”

    Maleyko responded: “The decision was based on operational considerations only, not religion. By implementing an all Halal meat option we have increased the number of students that we are serving[.] … It would cost a lot more to provide both Halal and non-Halal meat.”

    In the long run, the superintendent will find it far, far costlier to have capitulated to Islamic supremacism and set this precedent.

    Dearborn’s actions here should be a matter of concern for all free people. This is a manifestation of the Left’s absolute march, without consideration or question, toward exclusionary, supremacist practices that any genuinely pluralistic society should reject.     Announcing ISIS leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi’s death, President Trump didn’t hold back on Sunday. Baghdadi, Trump said, “died after running into a dead-end tunnel, whimpering and crying and screaming all the way.”

    That was only the first of a number of insults Trump lobbed at Baghdadi and the Islamic State during his speech. But while some are condemning the president’s rhetoric, I believe it was both morally justified and strategically valuable.

    Although it might appear that Trump was resorting to standard-fare rhetorical excesses, the president seems to have intended his words to carry a broader strategic effect here. Note, for example, Trump’s repeated focus on dogs, an animal regarded by most Islamic teachings as unclean and unworthy of companionship. Describing Baghdadi’s desperate attempt to escape, Trump noted how “our dogs chased him down.” Trump later observed that many ISIS fighters are “very frightened puppies” and concluded by saying that Baghdadi “died like a dog — he died like a coward.”

    This canine focus is extremely odd unless it is intentional, which I suspect it is. And that would be a good thing. ISIS presents itself as the holiest citadel of warriors, as a group serving God’s pure and ordained will on Earth. But when the leader of ISIS’s most hated adversary mocks its deceased caliph (emperor) as a fool who ran into a dead-end tunnel while being chased by lowly dogs, it erodes ISIS’s credibility. It underscores how the organization, which at one point nearly qualified for its own seat at the United Nations, is now perceived as a sad joke.

    (Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault Sectionhas charged three Ottawa men with Sexual assaults involving a 15 year old female. The incident occurred on October 23, 2019 at approximately 10:30pm.

    The female was assaulted by the men, while at the residence of one of the males that she had met at a local shopping centre in the east end of Ottawa, and not permitted to leave. She managed to text a family member to alert that she was in danger.

    She later fled the apartment and got immediate assistance from Frontline officers who were searching the area looking for her, based on the information relayed by the family.

    The men were charged today and will be attending court for a show cause hearing on October 25th, 2019.

    Bile MOHAMED, 27 years old, Yusuf YUSUF, 30 years old, Ismail MOALLIM, 21 years old, all from Ottawa are jointly charged with the following:

    Sexual assault with a weapon,
    Sexual assault cause bodily harm,
    Sexual assault as party to the offence,
    Sexual interference,
    Invitation to sexual touching,
    Forcible confinement,
    Conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
    MOHAMED has also been charged with Breach of Prob

    “President Trump tweeted a photo of the hero dog who chased Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi into a tunnel, forcing him to blow himself up.

    “We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!” Trump tweeted.

    ABC News reported that the dog’s breed is a Belgian Malinois — the same breed as the dog that was involved in the raid to get Osama bin Laden.

    Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Army Gen. Mark Milley gave an update on the dog’s health during a press conference Monday.

    “The dog is still in theater. The dog, the K-9, the military working dog performed a tremendous service as they all do in a variety of situations. Slightly wounded, and fully recovering, but the dog is still in theater, returned to duty with its handler,” Milley said.

    Pentagon officials are also looking at whether the dog is eligible for a Purple Heart, but indicated it could depend on the extent of the injuries.
