Tommy Robinson attacked again by BBC propagandist: Links 1, October 11, 2019

1. Chinese have implanted Apple and Amazon super micro boards with chips that spy. Now you can too.

More than a year has passed since Bloomberg Businessweek grabbed the lapels of the cybersecurity world with a bombshell claim: that Supermicro motherboards in servers used by major tech firms, including Apple and Amazon, had been stealthily implanted with a chip the size of a rice grain that allowed Chinese hackers to spy deep into those networks. Apple, Amazon, and Supermicro all vehemently denied the report. The NSA dismissed it as a false alarm. The Defcon hacker conference awarded it two Pwnie Awards, for “most overhyped bug” and “most epic fail.” And no follow-up reporting has yet affirmed its central premise.

But even as the facts of that story remain unconfirmed, the security community has warned that the possibility of the supply chain attacks it describes is all too real. The NSA, after all, has been doing something like it for years, according to the leaks of whistle-blower Edward Snowden. Now researchers have gone further, showing just how easily and cheaply a tiny, tough-to-detect spy chip could be planted in a company’s hardware supply chain. And one of them has demonstrated that it doesn’t even require a state-sponsored spy agency to pull it off—just a motivated hardware hacker with the right access and as little as $200 worth of equipment.

2. Turkey: Human rights activist sentenced ten years jail for “blasphemy” against Islam

You criticize Islam, you pay a dear price, ranging from jail to murder in many Muslim countries.

Canan Kaftancioglu, a Turkish politician and critic of Islam, has received a ten-year-long prison sentence for “blasphemy against Islam.”

Canan has risked her life and future by standing up for human rights and being daring enough to make fun of Islam:

“Canan once quipped on Twitter: “men with small dicks want to build big mosques.” She posted pictures of herself eating pork (forbidden in Islam) and acknowledged the historical reality of the Armenian Genocide. She once wrote, “stop praying, Muslims: there is no room left in paradise.”

Beyond Canan’s jokes about Islam is her activism for human rights, which are unrecognized by the Turkish government as it makes an example out of those who oppose President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his status as an Islamic despot. Canan is popular, which makes her more vulnerable as a threat to Erdogan. So in the classic Islamic supremacist style, accusations against her are full of lies, including the claim that she spread “terrorist propaganda, insulting civil servants, insulting the president and the Turkish state as well as having provoked public enmity.” The lies are reminiscent of charges of “Islamophobia” now commonly used in the West against those who criticize Islam and the human rights abuses committed in the name of its doctrine.

4. Franco supporters protest the socialist’s exemption of his remains in the ongoing leftist re-invention of history

Spain: Franco supporters protest exhumation of former leader’s remains

Hundreds of people demonstrated in front of the headquarters of the Spanish Socialist Workers Party (PSOE) in Madrid on Thursday, to protest the exhumation of the remains of former Spanish leader Francisco Franco, buried in ‘Valle de los Caidos’.

Footage shows protesters performing the fascist salute and carrying flags of Spain. Martin Ynestrillas, one of the speakers, called on those present to resist what he described as the “collapse of our moral order.”

The demonstration was convened by ADÑ, a political coalition formed by the Falange Española de las JONS (FE-JONS) Falangist party and the far-right parties Alternative Spain (AES) and National Democracy (DN).

A police force of about 50 riot police protected the PSOE headquarters, avoiding any incident.

(I confess I do not know much about this issue. I vaguely recall something abut Franco maneuvering extremely difficult waters at the time between Nazis and Soviet communists to preserve Spanish culture and liberties. But I am willing to be corrected.)

5. October 10th, 732 AD. Charles The Hammer Martel fought a muslim invasion in France and defeated them.

On this date, in AD732, Charles Martel led the Franks against Muslim invaders near the city of Tours and turned back the tide of Islamic advance at the Battle of Tours (sometimes called the Battle of Poitiers).

In the preceding 110 years, Islam, thanks to the diligent efforts of polite young men in white shirts and neckties on bicycles going out two-by-two, had spread from its origins in the Arabian peninsula through south-central Asia and across the north of Africa, and up into the Iberian peninsula.

Did I say polite young men in white shirts and ties on bicycles going out two-by-two?  Just kidding.  That’s Mormons.

The Muslims did it by going out conquering and to conquer, slaughtering everyone who would not submit, in a tide of blood across all their conquered lands.

6. Tommy Robinson defends himself against dishonest editing designed to destroy him. Again.

(Notice how much this video is restricted. Unbelievable. There are hundreds of not thousands of actual Nazis and muslim antsemites that preach genocide of the Jews and celebrate Hitler who’s videos are easily watchable. The conditions of this video is an indictment of Youtube, not Tommy Robinson. Whatever else he may be, he is not an antisemite, and is very pro-Israel which has cost him a lot of grief. He has had to dump some of his own best assets because of their anti-semitism.)

Youtube has made this video impossible to play here, or click through to find, or watch it at all unless somehow you have a direct link to it, which you cannot even get from this embed.

So I made it available here.

7. Greta Thunberg Denied: Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed Wins Nobel Peace Prize

Swedish teenage climate alarmist Greta Thunberg has been passed over for the Nobel Peace Prize, which instead was awarded to Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for ending his country’s long-standing border conflict with neighbor Eritrea.

As the Sun UK notes, Thunberg, 16, was the bookies’ favorite to take home the prize — following her angry tirade in which she lambasted world governments for failing to address so-called climate change at the United Nations Climate Action Summit in New York City last month.

Abiy, 43, took office after widespread protests pressured the longtime ruling coalition and hurt one of the world’s fastest growing economies. Africa’s youngest leader quickly announced dramatic reforms and “Abiymania” began.

In a move that caused surprise in the long-turbulent Horn of Africa region, he said Ethiopia would accept a peace agreement with Eritrea, ending one of Africa’s longest-running conflicts.

More on that later today.

  1. “This video can’t be played here. It’s content has been identified by the YouTube community as inappropriate or offensive to some audiences”

What humbug! “YouTube community”? That’ll be their way of trying to avoid being seen in their true light, as publishers if not censors.

I’ve seen a lot of things online, and been to a few events organised by or with Tommy Robinson. I know what’s offensive and what’s not. And it’s not Tommy.
