A historic September snowstorm blasted parts of the northern Rockies with heavy, wet snow and high winds, leading to power outages and tree damage, and was accompanied by record-cold temperatures for the end of September and early October.

Several locations in northern Montana picked up over a foot of snow. The highest snowfall total as of Sunday evening was 48 inches (4 feet) in Browning, Montana. East Glacier Park had measured 21 inches of snow.
Over 9 inches of snowfall was recorded by the National Weather Service in Great Falls, Montana, on Saturday alone, an all-time record daily snowfall in September there. Its total of 18.8 inches since Saturday was an all-time autumn two-day snowstorm record, topping the previous record of 16.1 inches from Nov. 26-27, 2005, according to NOAA’s ACIS database records dating to 1937. It was already the snowiest September in Great Falls, topping September 1934’s 13.2 inches of snowfall.
Tree limbs were reported down on “most, if not all, side streets” due to the weight of 14 inches of wet snow and winds in Choteau, Montana, about 45 miles northwest of Great Falls along the Rocky Mountain Front Range, according to a report relayed to NWS-Great Falls. Two- to three-foot drifts were reported in Augusta, Montana, Sunday morning.

Fire, clashes, one dead at crowded Greek migrant camp on Lesbos
The fire happened at Moria camp which houses about 12,000 people in overcrowded conditions
ATHENS, Sept 29 (Reuters) – A fire broke out on Sunday at a container inside a crowded refugee camp on the eastern Greek island of Lesbos close to Turkey and one person was killed, emergency services said.
Refugees clashed with police as thick smoke rose over the Moria camp, which currently houses about 12,000 people in overcrowded conditions and firefighters fought to extinguish the blaze.
Police said one burned body was taken to hospital in the island’s capital Mytilini for identification by the coroner. Police sent reinforcements to the island along with the chief of police to help restore order.
Police could not immediately reach an area of containers, where there were unconfirmed reports of another burned body.
Greece has been dealing with a resurgence in refugee and migrant flows in recent weeks from neighbouring Turkey. Nearly a million refugees fleeing war in Syria and migrants crossed from Turkey to Greece’s islands in 2015.

Islam’s Negative Influence on Pre-Modern European Behavior
Citing history—or, as shall be seen, pseudohistory—is one of the main ways Islam’s apologists try to ennoble Muhammad’s creed and its adherents. As a sort of counterbalance to purportedly noble Muslims, premodern Christians are in this regard regularly presented as the epitome of hypocrisy, intolerance, and greed. Commonly leading the pack are Vlad the Impaler, Ivan “the Terrible,” and Tomas Torquemada (all featured in the 2002 book, The Most Evil Men and Women in History).
In reality, however, these three men—and the culture they lived in—were significantly influenced by Islam; all three were surrounded by and fought against Muslims their entire lives. This inconvenient fact is rarely cited.
The historic figure of Vlad III (1430-1476)—whom the fictional, bloodsucking character of Dracula is based on—is portrayed in the West as a sadistic monster who loved nothing better than to impale his own people and drink their blood—often while listening to monks sing hymns, no less. CNN even claims that the Islamic State learned its sadistic methods of torture and execution from Vlad.
Reality tells a different story: the Romanian prince’s “beastly little habit” of impaling his enemies, as one historian characterizes it, was picked up from and almost exclusively used against the Turks and their agents. During his youth, Vlad was hostage to one of history’s most depraved sultans—Muhammad (or “Mehmet”) II, who also kept Vlad’s younger brother as a catamite. Vlad was first introduced to the “art” of impalement from this Ottoman sultan, who regularly employed it.
Eventually, and as part of his strategy to break away from Muslim rule, Vlad resorted to impalement as a sort of tit for tat—to show the Ottomans that he and his people could give as good as they got. Hence the irony: if Vlad is seen as a blood drinking monster in the West, he is a national hero in Romania, for fighting and resisting Islam for as long as he did.
Then there’s Tomas Torquemada (1420-1498), Catholic Spain’s grand inquisitor, and face of the apparently much misunderstood Spanish Inquisition. As historian Thomas Madden explains, “The Inquisition was not born out of desire to crush diversity or oppress people; it was rather an attempt to stop unjust executions. Yes, you read that correctly.” The popular view that Torquemada was an evil fanatic who was determined to force non-Christians to convert, or else, is almost always presented in a vacuum.
For starters, one of the primary reasons that prompted the Spanish crown to institute the Inquisition and appoint Torquemada in the first place is rarely acknowledged: the last bastion of Islam in Granada had been brought under Christian rule as the Reconquista came to a close; the half million Muslim citizenry were given lenient terms, including the right to travel abroad and practice Islam freely. But they abused them, including by launching many hard-to-quell uprisings—several “involving the stoning, dismembering, beheading, impaling, and burning alive of Christians”—and regularly colluded with foreign, mostly Muslim, powers.
When push came to shove, and to ward off suspicion, half-a-million Muslims feigned conversion to Christianity, regularly attended church, baptized their children, and learned all the ins-and-outs of Christian culture, while clandestinely working to subvert Spain, or at least Granada, back to Muslim rule. “With the permission and license that their accursed sect accorded them,” one frustrated Spaniard remarked in reference to the Islamic doctrine of taqiyya, “they could feign any religion outwardly and without sinning, as long as they kept their hearts nevertheless devoted to their false impostor of a prophet. We saw so many of them who died while worshipping the Cross and speaking well of our Catholic Religion yet who were inwardly excellent Muslims” (Sword and Scimitar, p.201-202).
The Inquisition, spearheaded by Torquemada, became the only way to determine, not so much if they were “good” Catholics, but if they were clandestine and subversive Muslims (contrary to popular belief, significantly more Muslims than Jews were tried). Moreover, just as neighboring Muslims had influenced Vlad’s penchant for impalement, so neighboring Muslims influenced Spain’s penchant for inquisitions and deportations. In the preceding centuries, Muslims—particularly the Almoravid and Almohad dynasties—tried countless Spanish converts to Islam by torture, deported them to African slavery, or killed them outright, on the belief that they were not true Muslims but fifth columnists aiding their Christian coreligionists of northern Spain.
Finally, Ivan IV (“the Terrible,” 1530-1584) is another oft cited example of a Medieval Christian—a piously observant Orthodox one this time—who was a bloodthirsty monster, the quintessential tyrant. Left unsaid is that some two centuries earlier, beginning around 1300, Russia had been under—and heavily influenced by—the yoke of Islamic Tatars, who brutally treated and enslaved the Russians in the name of jihad.
Even after 1480, when the Russians formally overthrew the Tatar Yoke, and all throughout Ivan’s reign, the Crimean khanate launched numerous devastating slave raids into Russia; during Ivan’s rein alone, hundreds of thousands of Slavs were abducted and sold into Islamic slavery. “Centuries of tyranny and brutality at the hands of the Islamicized Mongols and their Turkish agents rendered Russia a land where despotism came to be seen as normal and where human life was cheap,” observes one historian. “It is perhaps no coincidence that these things insinuated themselves into the Russian character”—including Ivan’s.
Such is the rarely acknowledged backdrop of Ivan the Terrible, this “monster” whose behavior—like that of Vlad III, Torquemada, and many others—is often presented in a vacuum, and meant to be a commentary on the hypocrisy and intolerance supposedly innate to premodern Christians. (As a side note, and due to their long and intimate history with Islam, Eastern Europeans—Russians, Romanians, Poles, Hungarians, etc.—remain wary of Islam and resist Muslim immigration.)
Not only did Islam influence the personal behavior of individual Europeans; it had a molding impact on entire cultures (including mafia culture). For example, during the Crusades, it was not uncommon for the Franks to decapitate Muslims (and hurl their heads by catapult onto Muslim fortifications). The contemporary historian Guibert of Nogent (d. 1124) wrote that they “learned” this uncharacteristic tactic from their enemies—that it was a sort of tit for tat, to show Muslim fighters that the Crusaders could give as good as they could get. Similarly, it is impossible to understand the brutality and fanaticism of the Spanish Conquistadors vis-à-vis the inhabitants of the Americas without tracing it back to Spain’s existential struggle with Islam, which necessitated the creation of a piously militant culture to resist and eventually turn the tables on jihad. Once Islam was gone, Spain’s holy warrior mentality—forged as it was over nearly eight centuries of warfare—could not simply disappear overnight and found new outlets under the old context of Christian versus infidel.
None of the aforementioned is meant to “exonerate” Medieval Christians from their own actions—in the end, individuals are responsible for their behavior—but rather place them in context. After all, it is a staple for Middle East Studies, and by extension media and “experts” of all sorts, to present Western influence—from the crusades to colonialism—as fundamentally responsible for the Islamic world’s modern day problems. As such, surely exploring the question from a vice-versa standpoint is warranted.
The very least takeaway from all this is that the pseudohistory of barbarous Christians and noble Muslims needs to undergo serious reconsideration.

Drugs, protection money, residence permits: Massive conflicts between refugees and criminal clans: Police warn against violence
Perpetrators from large Arab families are apparently putting refugees from Syria, who are opening new shops in Germany, under massive pressure. In addition, there are first indications of distribution fights between criminal clans and refugees in the drug business. The police speak of a “very explosive mixture”.
Security authorities are worried about emerging conflicts between Arab clans in Germany and newly arrived refugees, especially from Syria.
The police have “individual indications of distribution fights in the drug milieu”, Thomas Jungbluth of the Landeskriminalamt (LKA) Nordrhein-Westfalen explains to FOCUS Online. There is a great danger that the rivalries will spread and lead to acts of violence. Jungbluth, in the LKA responsible for organized crime: “We are dealing with a very explosive mixture of situations”.
Top investigator: “The new ones want a piece of the cake”
According to Jungbluth, the North Rhine-Westphalian police have findings that “Syrian refugees are increasingly active in drug trafficking”. This would lead to “first competition and distribution fights with perpetrators from the Lebanese clan milieu”. Jungbluth: “The new ones want their share of the cake and promise themselves lucrative business.
It was worrying that the Syrians concerned had “a high degree of experience of violence” in their homeland as a result of the war.
Uninvited visit to hairdressers and greengrocers
Another problem that could worsen is that of Syrian businessmen, who are apparently under massive pressure from clan members. “We hear about the phenomenon that, for example, businessmen get uninvited visitors after opening their hairdressing salon or the vegetable market”, says LKA investigator Jungbluth. “Due to the victims’ unwillingness to testify, however, it has not yet been possible to initiate investigations.
Whether and to what extent extortion of protection money plays a role cannot be proven with figures. According to Jungbluth, subtle forms of racketeering are very difficult to prove: “Damaged persons only very rarely turn to the police, if at all”.
Refugees could join forces and defend themselves
The jurist and Islamic scholar Mathias Rohe from Erlangen can confirm that there are cases of pressure being exerted. In an interview with FOCUS Online he warns against an escalation: “It is to be feared that the newly arrived refugees will reflect on their own strength and form larger groups to defend themselves. There are already signs of such considerations,” says the expert. One cannot rule out the possibility of violence at some point. Rohe: “The potential danger is great.
Expert: Many Lebanese “pissed off” at new arrivals
The rivalries between the two camps were fuelled by the dissatisfaction of many Lebanese with their residence status – usually a toleration – the expert said. “While many Syrians have a good chance of obtaining a secure residence permit in Germany relatively quickly, even Lebanese who have lived here for a long time have to fight for it. That’s why many Lebanese are “pissed off” according to the motto: “We have been disadvantaged for decades – and the newcomers get everything immediately”.
In Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Berlin and Bremen, a stronghold of criminal clans, it was evident how easily the situation can get out of hand. In 2017 and 2018 there were several violent clashes between members of extended families of different ethnic origins in Lower Saxony.

At least two migrants died on Sunday in a fire at a Greek island refugee camp, with the blaze triggering rioting by angry residents.
Athens News Agency, quoting police sources, reported that a woman and a child had died in the blaze at the overcrowded Moria camp on the island of Lesbos.
The body of the woman was taken to the island’s general hospital while the body of the child was handed over to authorities by migrants.
The fire inside the camp was extinguished by plane. But police later fired tear gas to control an angry crowd who said authorities took too long to respond to the incident, according to an AFP correspondent.
The death toll, however, was unclear with an Afghan migrant eyewitness saying three people died as a result of the fire that spread to six or seven containers used to house residents.
“We found two children completely charred and a woman dead. We gave the children covered in blankets to the fire brigade,” Fedouz, 15, told AFP.
The AFP correspondent saw two bodies, one surrounded by weeping family members.
In a statement, police said the riots occurred after two separate fires broke out, firstly outside and then inside Moria camp with a time gap of twenty minutes.
Additional officers were sent from Athens in C-130 army planes in a bid to contain the situation, although local police sources said calm had returned to the camp by 2300 GMT.
The Deputy Minister of Citizen Protection Lefteris Economou, along with the Chief of Police and the Secretary General for Migration Policy, are due to visit.
Moria camp hosts around 13,000 people but has facilities for just 3,000.
It has become like a small town with UN refugee agency tents for around 8,000 people sprawling into the olive fields of nearby Moria village. Others are housed in containers.
Greece is hosting some 70,000 mostly Syrian refugees and migrants who have fled their countries since 2015, and crossed over from neighbouring Turkey.
Under an agreement reached with the European Union in 2016, Turkey has made greater efforts to limit departures towards the five Greek islands closest to its shores.
But the number of arrivals has been steadily climbing in recent months causing a dangerous burden in the camps of the islands that are in the forefront of the migrant influx.
The Greek government said on Sunday it planned to discuss a new asylum draft law to deal with the fresh migrant crisis.
“In the cabinet meeting on Monday, we are going to discuss a draft law proposed by the Citizen’s Protection Ministry which will update, in accordance with European standards, the asylum procedure”, Minister of State, George Gerapetritis said in an interview with Skai Tv on Sunday.
He stressed that migrants should be sent to camps with humane conditions, admitting that existing ones were not able to deal with the increase in migrants.
On Friday, Citizen’s Protection Minister, Michalis Chrysochoidis, asked for the cooperation of regional governors, during an emergency meeting, in order to share the migrant burden of the overcrowded islands.
He asked regional authorities of mainland Greece to expand existing camps or to revive some closed ones.

“This was a heinous crime. But I take full responsibility as a leader in Saudi Arabia, especially since it was committed by individuals working for the Saudi government,” Bin Salman pointed out.
He described the killing of Khashoggi as a “mistake”, pledging to “take all actions to avoid such a thing in the future”.
When asked about how he did not know about the operation to kill the journalist, Bin Salman said that “it’s impossible that the three million people working for the Saudi government would send their daily reports to the leader” or the second highest person in the government.
After being questioned about the CIA’s conclusion that he ordered the murder of Khashoggi, Prince Salman said that he wants “this information to be brought forward”.
“If there is any such information that charges me, I hope it is brought forward publicly,” he added.
Khashoggi was killed in what Riyadh called “a rogue operation” in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, having last been seen there on 2 October last year as he was obtaining the documents he needed to get married. “Earlier this year, two explosions occurred near the parliamentary building and a busy intersection on the road to the international airport in Mogadishu, leaving at least nine dead and 25 injured.
A car was blown up in an alleged suicide attack near a group of foreign troops in the Somali capital of Mogadishu, while another car bomb was detonated at the gate of a military airstrip that serves as a base for US and Somali forces, according to the Fox News media outlet.
According to reports, the first explosion occured at the moment when an Italian military convoy appeared next to the car in Mogadishu. No casualties have been reported.
The second attack targeted a military airstrip which serves as a base for US and Somalia forces in the Lower Shabelle region of southern Somalia.
A suicide bomber blew up a vehicle wired with explosives at the gate of the Belidogle airstrip, according to Yusuf Abdourahman, a security official.
Militants from al-Shabaab, an al Qaeda-linked terrorist group, have claimed responsibility for the attack.
Al-Shabaab reportedly emerged in Somalia in 2006. Somalia has been engulfed in violence since the eruption of a civil war between clan-based armed groups in the early 1990s.
Al-Shabaab has been staging numerous attacks across the country in an attempt to impose Sharia law.

“Five Moroccan jihadists are set to get their Dutch passports back after the government withdrew the process to strip them of citizenship.
The five men had initially travelled to the Middle East in 2013 and 2014 to join jihadist groups in Syria and Iraq with former State Secretary for Justice and Security Mark Harbers having ordered that their passports and citizenships be revoked, Nederlandse Omroep Stichting reports.
The reason for the revocation was that the groups the jihadis had joined were classified as prohibited groups, however, they were not classified as such under Dutch law at the time the men joined them.
As a result, the Council of State reversed the decision to revoke their passports and citizenship, though one of the five jihadists, Driss Daouayry, was reported to have died in Syria in 2015 due to American bombings in the city of Kobani.
The stripping of citizenships of Islamic State and other jihadi fighters has been an issue for many countries across Europe with some, such as the UK, having stripped jihadists such as “Jihadi Jack” Jack Letts and ISIS-bride Shamima Begum of their citizenships.
The UK Home Office commented on the decision to remove UK citizenship from Letts, who is now solely a Canadian national, saying, “Decisions on depriving a dual national of citizenship are based on substantial advice from officials, lawyers and the intelligence agencies and all available information.”
Other European countries,m such as Sweden, have refused to entertain the idea of removing citizenship for Jihadis with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven saying they had every right to return to the country.
Sweden’s stance on returning jihadis has been criticised by many including terrorism expert Magnus Ranstorp who said that Sweden should not allow ISIS women to return to the country because there are no current laws to prosecute them for the support they give to extremist groups.”

HONG KONG, Sept 30 (Reuters) – Last month, Beijing moved thousands of troops across the border into this restive city. They came in on trucks and armored cars, by bus and by ship.
The state news agency Xinhua described the operation as a routine “rotation” of the low-key force China has kept in Hong Kong since the city’s handover from Britain in 1997. No mention was made of the anti-government protests that have been shaking the metropolis since June.
It was a plausible report: China has maintained a steady level of force in the territory for years, regularly swapping troops in and out. And days earlier, according to an audio recording obtained by Reuters, embattled Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam had told local businesspeople that China had “absolutely no plan” to order the army to put down the demonstrations.
A month on, Asian and Western envoys in Hong Kong say they are certain the late-August deployment was not a rotation at all, but a reinforcement. Seven envoys who spoke to Reuters said they didn’t detect any significant number of existing forces in Hong Kong returning to the mainland in the days before or after the announcement.

Richard: I have been wondering if there was any troops moved out of Hong Kong, looks like there haven’t been. With the troop level raised to 10 to 12 thousand that means between 5 and 7 thousand new troops that are probably part of the Combat MPs that were moved up close to the Bridge in Hong Kong. (I know they are called the Peoples Armed Police but only a fool would think they aren’t part of the PLA). “FRENCH Police officers in Calais and Dunkirk have been accused of helping people smugglers in France by advising when people should try to across the English Channel to the UK.
In an exclusive undercover investigation, LBC radio revealed French Police are turning a blind eye to smugglers to allow migrants to illegally cross the English Channel and reach the UK from Calais and Dunkirk. An undercover team infiltrated a criminal gang operating out of Dunkirk in the north of France, who charge £7,000 for a spot on a boat crossing the channel. The LBC team posed as an Indian family pretending to attempt to bring a young family member over to the UK.
They met people smuggler Farooq in his camp in the woodlands outside Dunkirk.
Farooq, caught by the undercover reporter with a hidden camera, claimed that French Police officers at the border advise smugglers on when is the best time to attempt the journey through the channel.
He explained: “When you are going to the beach the police comes, the French police and they say ‘today is not possible. Today go, next day come’.”
Asked to confirm if that is what the French police say to smugglers, he said: “Yeah.”
Then he added: “Sometimes when people are going, the French police go with them.
“Once they’ve crossed the border the police just say ‘bye bye’.
“Now a lot of people pass. Like here, three-four hundred people pass.”
As the LBC reporter asked whether there are ever any problems with the French Police, Farooq replied: “French police is no problem. Police in France just gives you the way.”
He added: “Because police want you to get out France, yes? They want you to go. They help. This is business to France.”
Farooq also explained how once the boats have reached the UK, British Police process migrants within 24 hours at the police station and provide them with hotel accommodation.
A Home Office spokesperson told LBC: “The organised crime groups behind the illegal attempts to cross the Channel are putting the lives of vulnerable people in serious danger for their own financial gain.
“We are determined to put a stop to this illegal activity and last week alone Immigration Enforcement and the National Crime Agency made 23 arrests as part of a series of ongoing investigations into suspected people smuggling.
“An investigation based on the information provided by LBC is already under way.”
French Police in Dunkirk denied the allegations. Speaking to Express.co.uk a spokesman said: “The information is false. We don’t help illegal immigrants to get to the UK.
“If we find them, we send them to special shelters, so they are in a safe place.
“These shelters are all across France and depending on availability, migrants can be sent to different cities.
“But we can’t tell you how many migrants we find and send to these shelters on a weekly or monthly basis.”
Last week, French President Emmanuel Macron claimed his country “cannot take all the misery of the world”.
Speaking to Europe 1 radio in an interview from the United Nations in New York, where he was attending the annual General Assembly, he said:“I maintain that France cannot take in all the misery in the world. Democrat Representative Adam Schiff is under public scrutiny, as he continues to be a driving force in the House’s impeachment inquiry.
New evidence comes to light, suggesting Schiff knew about the whistleblower complaint in August, a month before the House launched a formal impeachment inquiry.
Reports Friday recirculated the tweet, which alleged the president withheld “vital military aid to Ukraine, while his personal lawyer sought help from the Ukraine government to investigate his political opponent.”
The complaint was handed to Congress just this week, accusing the president of using his political power to harm former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential election campaign.
Some have speculate Schiff and other Democrats have been working with the whistleblower, as a new version of the form is said to have been revised last month.
This, as reports indicate the Intelligence Community secretly did away with requirements for whistleblower complaints, to have direct first-hand knowledge of their claim, in order to have their concerns expedited to Congress.
The anonymous whistleblower has confirmed he had no direct knowledge of the claim.

Eight more countries have decided to join the Instex mechanism for trade with Iran, said Nathalie Tocci, an aide to EU High Representative Federica Mogherini.
“Apart from the three countries that initiated the creation of the mechanism – France, Germany and Great Britain – eight more EU member states have decided to join. Two more countries are expected to follow in their footsteps”, Tocci said on the sidelines of the XVI annual Valdai club meeting.

Earlier this month, a senior Iranian lawmaker said that the EU had agreed to allocate $15 billion to the INSTEX trade mechanism.

On Sunday 29 September, a theme was going viral on social media that a Ukrainian-American arms merchant, Igor Pasternak, has held fundraising events for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA). Some other allegations about Pasternak – e.g., that he is closely tied to George Soros – don’t seem to have a paper trail that could be verified with online research. But the report that Pasternak has done fundraising for Schiff is documented.
Although the widely-cited 2013 fundraiser was in Washington, D.C., Igor Pasternak’s company headquarters is in Montebello, California, on the east side of Los Angeles. It’s near Schiff’s CA-28 congressional district, which lies to the north of it and encompasses major suburbs like Burbank and a chunk of Glendale. Pasternak started the company in Ukraine in 1992, but immigrated to the U.S. in 1994 and established his California-based company, Aeros/Worldwide Aeros Corporation, shortly thereafter.
Aeros makes lighter-than-air (LTA) airships via its Aeroscraft arm. That is its signature niche in the general aviation industry as well as its entrée to defense contracting. Aeros has had contracts with the U.S. Defense Department to develop surveillance airships and cargo-delivery airships. Pasternak, an engineer by training, has had a lifelong interest in what can be done with LTA vehicles.

Franco-German documentary reveals Qatar’s money laundering in Europe
Qatar has been accused of using charitable institutions to fund extremism in Europe in a new documentary released by Arte Channel, a Franco-German free-to-air television network that promotes cultural programming.
The documentary, which premiered on September 17, showcases how Qatari royals and officials have been laundering money and funding the Muslim Brotherhood and other terrorist organizations in European countries including Italy, France, Germany, and the UK.
Documents leaked to journalists Georges Malbrunot and Christian Chesnot reveal in detail how Qatar Charity, an NGO founded in 1992 and active today in seventy countries, has been used to finance the Muslim Brotherhood. The journalists were given the documents – evidence of bank transfers, emails, and other information – on a hard drive by a whistleblower.
The documentary alleges that Qatari officials have been laundering money to members of terrorist organizations under the guise of sponsoring mosques, Islamic centers and schools. The list of donors includes Qatari royal family members Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, Saud Jassim Ahmed Al Thani, and Khalid bin Hamad bin Abdullah Al Thani.
Qatar Charity’s largest project is “Centre An-Nour” (An-Nour Center) in Mulhouse, France. The center includes a two-story mosque, classrooms, a library, a restaurant, a halal market, a swimming pool, and a medical center.
According to the documentary, the center cost €28 million ($30 million) to build. Nasser al-Qadi, the president of the France-based Association of Muslim Alsace (AMAL) who administer the center, told Malbrunot and Chesnot that AMAL had received more than half of the project’s budget from Qatar Charity.
The documentary also features Chesnot reviewing official Qatar Charity documents with Director of the Program on Extremism at George Washington University Lorenzo G. Vidino. They note that the organization funded various projects in the Welsh city of Swansea, the French cities of Mulhouse and Strasbourg, as well as London, Berlin and Luxembourg.
Chesnot and Vidino also reviewed a letter signed on behalf of one the Muslim Brotherhood’s spiritual leaders Yusuf al-Qaradawi, calling on organizations to fund the construction of a mosque in Milan.
The journalists met with Qatar Charity under the guise that they were potential investors. Using hidden cameras, they filmed an official who told them that the organization has been funding projects in Europe, and was looking to fund a big project in London.
Qatar Charity has since stopped responding to any inquiries by Arte Channel.

CBC – Violent clashes break out at Maxime Bernier event in Hamilton
Protesters and supporters exchange chants, songs and punches outside Mohawk College
A peaceful protest outside an event for Maxime Bernier turned violent Sunday evening as supporters of the People’s Party of Canada began to arrive and enter the venue.
A scuffle occurred in the crowd of around 100 about half an hour before the event — at Hamilton’s Mohawk College — was scheduled to start. Two men from opposing sides of the protests were led away in handcuffs by police.
There were a total of four arrests for “breach of the peace,” Hamilton police said, and all of those people were later released without conditions.
A large crowd of about 100 protesters decrying the event stood outside with signs advocating for immigrant rights and yelling chants denouncing those entering, comparing them to Nazis and neo-Nazis. Supporters of the People’s Party — some wearing “Make America Great Again” hats — stood behind police and engaged with some of the protesters verbally for about an hour.
Some protesters attempted to prevent people from entering the building and at one point blocked the path of an elderly woman who was using a walker, yelling at her and her companion.
Dusan Petroski, a member of the PPC who attended the event, said Bernier reminds him of dissidents against the communist regime that was in power in the former Yugoslavia, where he and his family emigrated from 20 years ago as political refugees.
Petroski said Bernier gave up “an opportunity to have a comfy life, be a minister in a future government and take a six-figure income for the rest of his life” to start his own party, come out with unpopular opinions and “represent an idea.”
When asked what part of the PPC’s platform he likes most, Petroski said: “the part about freedom, personal responsibility and respect — that’s the only way you can build a stable society.”
Sean Dowling, a protester who showed up to denounce the PPC and its supporters, said he did so to let the far right know that “hatred has no place in Hamilton, and here we celebrate acceptance, diversity, love and peace.”
“Hamilton is a city for all people. Everyone is welcome here in Hamilton. The elements that are with Maxime Bernier today are … all about violence and not being inclusive.”
Bernier talks ‘personal freedom’
When the event got underway inside, the People’s Party leader emerged on stage after Survivor’s Rocky III soundtrack song Eye of the Tiger played. He received multiple standing ovations throughout the night for pledging to increase “personal freedoms” for all Canadians.
He was joined onstage by American YouTuber and political commentator Dave Rubin and two PPC candidates. Bernier praised all of his candidates, saying “[they] are not real politicians … and that’s great. People don’t trust politicians anymore.”
The four chatted at length about preserving “freedom” from censorship in Canada, their doubts about climate change science, keeping government small and Bernier’s plan to repeal the Multiculturalism Act.
They also talked immigration, with Bernier saying the party’s plan is “not racist, not anti-immigration and not pro-mass-immigration.” The party would drastically reduce immigration to Canada, and focus resources on those citizens already in the country, he said.
When asked if he’d be willing to engage in a debate with protesters outside the venue, Rubin said “I’d be happy to talk to them if they’re not in my face and screaming at me and calling me a Nazi.”
“If I could sit down with any of those people and chat about it, I would try to do exactly what I did [on stage Sunday], which is really try to get them to understand what are your rights, where do your rights come from and how special it is to live in a place like Canada or the U.S.,” Rubin said.
Controversy for college
Bernier was at Mohawk College for an event to discuss free speech with Rubin. The college enlisted extra security for the event after word of possible protests spread.
Rubin tweeted earlier this week that the event had been cancelled due to “threats from Antifa,” or left-wing anti-fascist protesters, but later clarified the event was still going ahead as planned.
The college has been criticized for renting the space to Bernier and his party, with some citing Bernier’s statements about “extreme multiculturalism” as something that creates division among Canadians.
Jackson Gates, a paralegal student at the college, raised several concerns about the event in an email to Mohawk officials. Gates said Bernier has incited hate toward marginalized communities and that by hosting the forum the college was contradicting its own statements about being welcoming and inclusive.
“Profiting from the Maxime Bernier event and over the objections and concerns of your students and faculty is just wrong,” he wrote, adding he believes Mohawk should have told Rubin and Bernier to hold their event somewhere else.
College spokesperson Bill Steinburg told CBC News earlier this week that “the space that’s being used is space that’s rented to the public regularly and the party is a party that’s part of the federal political dialogue right now.”

Right now 15 States have voted to have a Convention of the States aka and Article 5 Convention to amend the Constitution. It takes 34 States before one will be called and from what I have read it is possible to limit the convention to a short list of amendments. Mark Levin’s book the Liberty Amendments lists 13 that he would like to see. If a Convention is called and even half of the purposed Amendments are adopted the power of the Federal Government will be greatly reduced and the freedom of the individuals will be greatly increased.
The ability of the States to bypass Congress and call for a Convention to amend the Constitution is one of the things that is suppose to keep the Federal Government in check. Several of the purposed amendments are designed to undo damage the left has done to the Constitution. Including returning the Senate to be the House of Congress that looks after and protects the rights of the States. Making the Senators directly elected instead of appointed by the State Legislatures meant that the Senators are not concerned about the rights of the States. There are other things like Term Limits on the Members of Congress that are addressed and one will limit the Federal Judges to 20 years on the bench instead of their jobs being life time appointments.
The Founding Fathers were the pick of their colonies but they made mistakes and knew it, that is why they made it possible to change the Constitution but made it hard to change.

Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz has dug up a nearly two-year-old prank call in which House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff told two Russian radio hosts posing as a Ukranian politician that he would be willing to accept damaging anti-Trump information.
Gaetz on Sunday tweeted an edited clip from the eight-minute-long phone call. It comes as Republicans are pushing back at the House Democratic impeachment inquiry over allegations President Trump pressured the Ukranian president into investigating the family of 2020 rival Joe Biden.
In the clip, Schiff, D-Calif., tells the Russian shock-jocks, who were posing as Andriy Parubiy, the former speaker of Ukraine’s parliament, that he would be willing to accept dirt on Trump from the Ukranian.

An black sixth grader at a private Virginia school admitted she made up an accusation that three white boys cut her dreadlocks.
The grandparents of the child, Amari Allen, issued an apology obtained by the Washington Post on Monday.
“To those young boys and their parents, we sincerely apologize for the pain and anxiety these allegations have caused,” the grandparents, who are also Allen’s legal guardians, said in a statement. “To the administrators and families of Immanuel Christian School, we are sorry for the damage this incident has done to trust within the school family and the undue scorn it has brought to the school. To the broader community, who rallied in such passionate support for our daughter, we apologize for betraying your trust.”
“We understand there will be consequences and we’re prepared to take responsibility for them,” they added. The principal of Immanuel Christian School confirmed Allen admitted her allegation was false.

The latest in a series of “scandals” that supposedly will finally banish President Trump from the White House has provoked the latest in a series of outbursts from NeverTrump obsessives. Allegations that the president, during a phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, abused his power, violated campaign finance laws, or sullied an upcoming American election by inviting foreign interference, precipitated the latest dudgeon-fest. No one seemed to care that the release of the conversation’s transcript, and the exculpatory protestations of Ukraine’s president have already deflated the “scandal” like a stomped soufflé.
We still have to hear homilies from the Church of NeverTrump, once again trying to turn the president’s blunt, take-no-prisoners, what-you-see-is-what-you-get style into a Constitutional crisis. In fact, Trump was elected because enough voters rejected the vision of politics as the purview of technocratic elites who define “democratic norms,” “presidential decorum,” and “political normality” in terms that happen to suit their tastes, interests, and prejudices.

Mass hysteria is gripping the Democrats, their allies in the media, and the other Trump-haters who yearn to use the manufactured Ukrainegate “scandal” to overturn the election of 2016 through impeachment. Speaker-in-name only Nancy Pelosi herself has gone off the deep end, claiming without a shred of evidence that “Russia has a hand” in Ukrainegate. Somehow in Nancy Pelosi’s fevered imagination, Ukraine and Russia – two countries literally at each other’s throats – have conspired together in an unholy alliance to help President Trump win the 2020 election. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, who went off the deep end long ago with his Russia collusion obsession, made up his own fictional version of the July 25, 2019 call between President Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to fit his “mafia shakedown” narrative. In his opening statement at the televised committee hearing Thursday with the U.S. top intelligence officer, acting Department of National Intelligence Director Joseph Maguire, Schiff claimed that President Trump asked President Zelensky to “make up dirt” on Mr. Biden. “I’m going to say this only seven times, so you better listen good,” according to the words that Schiff falsely put into President Trump’s mouth. “I want you to make up dirt on my political opponent, understand? Lots of dirt, on this and on that.” Nothing of the kind actually transpired, of course, according to the most authoritative detailed account of the call that was released last week. Schiff himself was guilty of making up dirt on President Trump, which he later lamely referred to as a parody. That’s the way Schiff rolls.

Right after the 2016 election, I read some articles describing people in government who had decided to stay put and secretly sabotage Trump. These articles weren’t exposes written by the right; they were proud confessions from the left, part of the righteous Resistance.
We are seeing the fruit of that today.
I hadn’t noted the links to any of those articles at the time, so recently I got curious to see whether I could find one. Here’s an excerpt from one typical article of the type, published in Vanity Fair on February 1, 2017, twelve days after Trump’s inauguration [emphasis mine]:

Hillary Clinton’s private email server may once again be a hot-button issue three years after the FBI said it wouldn’t press charges. Washington Post sources claimed State Department investigators have contacted “as many as” 130 officials to let them know that emails sent to Clinton’s private inbox have been retroactively classified, making them possible security violations when they weren’t at the time they were sent. The Department had started reaching out roughly a year and a half ago, according to the report, but fell quiet before resuming in August.
Anonymous State Department officials talking to the Post denied that this was prompted by President Trump, who frequently attacked Clinton’s use of private email during his 2016 election campaign and has continued to talk about it in the three years since. The email review has been going on since the Obama administration, they said, and has avoided “any appearance of political bias” through steps such as anonymizing the names of the subjects involved.

According to the FDA, Lupron, a drug created in the 80s to treat prostate cancer, has been linked to thousands of deaths. Lupron was later approved via prescription to treat endometriosis in women.
Now, Lupron is prescribed to children who have been diagnosed (accurately or not) with gender dysphoria as a hormone blocker.
Since 2012, the FDA has documented “over 40,764 adverse reactions suffered by patients who took Leuprolide Acetate (Lupron), which is used as a hormone blocker. More than 25,500 reactions logged from 2014-2019 were considered ‘serious,’ including 6,370 deaths.”
“Lupron is being prescribed off-label for use in children who have been diagnosed with gender dysphoria despite the lack of formal FDA approval for that purpose. The drug is clinically approved for treatment of precocious puberty, a condition where children start their pubertal processes at an abnormally early age and the blocker is administered for a short time until the proper age,” reports the Christian Post.

The media’s manufactured fake news crisis has had three simple steps
1. Claim that ‘fake news’ or ‘disinformation’ poses a grave threat to human life and democracy
2. Assemble a list of sites and people, mainly from the political opposition, and accuse them of disinformation using your own ‘fact checkers’ whose conclusions are partisan products
3. Pressure social networks and now ad networks to cut them off
Here’s another phase of the lefty censorship campaign via the lefty ‘fact checkers’ at Poynter from the Global Disinformation Index which has been working on ad boycotts of opposition sites. It was co-founded by Clare Melford who “led the transition” of a Soros group to independent status. The purpose of the GDI report and the Poynter post is to pressure ad networks to boycott what they deem to be disinformation sites.

NYC bans residents from saying phrases ‘go back to your country’ and ‘illegal alien’

New York City announced it is now illegal for residents of the city to threaten to call U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on their neighbors, along with a ban on the phrases “go back to your country” and “illegal alien.”
“New York City has made it illegal to threaten to call ICE based on a discriminatory motive or to tell someone ‘go back to your country.’ Hate has no place here,” the city said Thursday on its official Twitter account.
The NYC Commission of Human Rights said they were issuing new law enforcement guidelines based on both forms of “discrimination.” The guidelines also stated that “derogatory use of the term ‘illegal alien,’ and discrimination based on limited English proficiency are unlawful discriminatory treatment.”
