The left implemented multiculturalism as a destructive force, not as a path to utopia. We know this for the reasons you stated.
If it never worked, but always produced the same result, that is the result they wanted.
Multiculturalism is a fast way to destroy the narrative that binds people of a culture. They can no longer use complex ideas or references with each other again as they have no shared experience to draw on.
It dumbs down a nation to have a wide mix of people. There is no way they can not know this. It must be a tool of destruction because it cannot be anything else.
