TORONTO – The Law Society of Ontario revoked a rule Wednesday that required its members to spell out their commitment to promoting diversity, but the decision did not quell debate over what the organization can and should do to tackle discrimination.
In a meeting in Toronto, the organization’s board of directors voted 28-20 in favour of repealing the rule, with two members abstaining. Another motion that would have made participation voluntary failed, with 27 voting against and 23 in support.
Some board members expressed disappointment and frustration with the results and raised concerns about the message the decision would send to members and the public at large.

4. Police explain why Preston ‘hate rant’ taxi driver will not be charged

Police have confirmed they will not be charging a taxi driver who was recorded slurring a racist rant threatening to rape Christians who had converted from Islam.
Zaheer Hussain, 41, was arrested on suspicion of religiously aggravated harassment after the video of him in a car circulated social media in December last year.
He later apologised for the ranting.
Four further men, all from Preston, voluntarily attended at a police station and were also questioned under caution in connection with the incident.

Buck was charged with three counts of battery causing serious injury, administering methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office. Buck is accused of injecting the victim, who survived, with methamphetamine on Sept. 11.

I must say that the “menstrual” art completely disgusts me. To display that in a public place says a lot about what the ruling powers think of the plebes (and it is not good). If that appeared in my community I would either tear it down or deface it.
As for the municipalities going bankrupt paying for welfare migrants, I think I have heard of at least 3 other municipalities in Sweden that are also on the verge of bankruptcy for this very reason. The sad thing is that the national gov’t generally locates the migrants in working class or poor communities because the housing is cheaper. So, you inject communities that already have a tenuous tax base with a non productive population that further strains public services. What the elite are doing is inflicting this misery on those that can least afford to do anything about it. It’s a win win for the elite. They get to feel good about themselves while not having the pathology infect them in any way.
To have an area of poor working people, which means low rent and low food prices to compete for trade… and then along come the Welfare Recipients… and rent and food prices go up. A homeless person cannot compete.
Welfare. The bastardization of a continent without gentrification.
