In four intensely reported investigative columns — here (August 13, 2018), here (October 23, 2018), here (October 30, 2018), and here (November 5, 2018), — David Steinberg has explored the evidence suggesting that Ilhan Omar entered into a sham marriage with her brother in 2009. This is his fifth. He titles it “Meet Leila Elmi: The Missing Link Showing Ilhan Omar Married Her Brother.” Drawing on his research, interviews, and social media evidence he makes the case that Omar has engaged in a variety of fraudulent activities and willful misrepresentations related to her marital arrangements. He writes:
On October 22, 2008, the U.S. State Department stopped accepting applications for the Priority 3/Refugee Family Reunification program — the process by which refugees can apply for asylum if one family member is already a legal U.S. resident. State halted the program because DNA testing — primarily of Somalis — had concluded that perhaps 87 percent of applicants were fraudulently claiming family relationships.
Despite continuing war, Somalia of 2008 was not comparable to the open hell of the early 1990s, when an eight-year-old Ilhan and her family fled to Kenya’s Dadaab refugee camps. She lived there from 1991 until 1995, aged eight to 12. Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services then helped Ilhan, her sister Sahra, and their father Nur Said receive asylum in the United States along with thousands of other Somalis.
The complicated moral question of fraud, let alone fault, among this 1990s wave of refugees escaping civil war will never be answered with accurate statistics. We will have to settle for adjectives like “widespread” and “rampant.” Yet the negative outcomes cannot be ignored. Even refugees with strong desire to assimilate with Western civic order are hampered by the possible discovery of conflicting documents. And compromising information becomes leverage in a community already difficult to police.

Three men have been sentenced to death in Morocco for the Isis-inspired murder of two Scandinavian hikers in the Atlas mountains last December.
Louisa Vesterager Jespersen, a 24-year-old from Denmark, and Maren Ueland, a 28-year-old from Norway, were beheaded by a group of men who aimed to impress Islamic State, and who confessed to their murder in the court in Salé, near Rabat.
Morocco has not carried out an execution since 1993, but prosecutors called for the death penalty during the 11-week trial.
Last week a letter from Jespersen’s mother was read out in court which read: “The most just thing would be to give these beasts the death penalty they deserve.”
Prosecutors said Abdessamad Ejjoud, a 25-year-old street vendor and underground imam, was the ringleader and admitted to killing one of the women, while Younes Ouaziyad, a 27-year-old carpenter, confessed to the other murder. The third man, Rachid Afatti, 33, videoed the murders on his phone.

Ilhan told the Jewish Insider on Wednesday that she and Tlaib were planning to visit Israel and the West Bank in “a few weeks,” but the trip could be nixed by Jerusalem over their support for the Palestinian-led anti-Israel boycott movement.
Both Omar, a Somali-born lawmaker from Minnesota, and Tlaib, the first-Palestinian-American woman to be elected to Congress, have been accused of harboring anti-Israel sentiment, in part due to their support for the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions movement.

10. Stockholm Attack Migrant Terrorist Complains About Poor Food in Prison
Stockholm terror attacker Rakhmat Akilov has complained about his treatment in prison, claiming the food is substandard and that he feels lonely.
The Uzbek migrant wrote complaints to the Justice Ombudsman (JO) stating that no-one among the prison staff can have any contact with him and that they do not want to have contact with him, leading to feelings of loneliness, Swedish newspaper Expressenreports.
Akilov, who murdered five people in April 2017 in the Stockholm terror attack on the Drottninggatan shopping street, was initially housed in the Kumla prison but was moved after a 33-year-old gang member attacked and beat him last August.
Following the attack, Akilov was moved to Hall prison near the city of Södertälje where he has remained ever since. Earlier this year, the radical Islamic terrorist was found hiding an Islamic State flag in his cell within his prayer mat.
A witness during Akilov’s trial claimed that he had expressed sympathy for the terror organisation at least a year before the attack took place.

For at least two years, 2014 and 2015, she jointly filed her income taxes with a man who was not her husband.
There is no box to check for “unmarried filing jointly.” Joint filers are either legally married or potential tax felons. Further, Ilhan Omar was legally married to another man at that time — and was in fact married to that second man from 2009-2017.
