Thus we see this same dynamic emerge within the news cycle. Reportorial agendas begin to act as prime movers in current events that—as with overstressed monitoring circuits—begin to feed off of their own system perturbations.
The fact that this insidious feedback loop puffs up audience numbers along with any attendant egos is just icing on the cake: Much like how, for many modern politicians, 1984 is no longer cautionary and, instead, has become normative.
This pattern of the wildly exaggerated becoming a metric is discomfiting, to say the least. Be that as it may, in an age of hyperbolic polemics (is that now redundant?) these sort of overegged recipes-for-disaster have become commonplace fare that’s being set before a Kardashian-obsessed public.
What do runaway heating controllers, self-regenerative media interference, and the fictional becoming prescriptive have in common?
Smart high tech mavens like me who talk loudly in restaurants know that the chrome-domes all refer to this behavior as what happens when you start, “Sucking your own butt.”

Officials suspected that the members of proscribed Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh were planning to hit scientific institutions across the state.
India’s major strategic bodies such as Indian Space Research Organistion (ISRO) and several defence manufacturing units are located in Bengaluru.
The module was busted a few days ahead of ISRO’s second moon mission for which a countdown had already started at the southern launch facility. Based on intelligence reports, Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB)- an affiliate of al-Qaeda- has been planning to spread its network in South India, with an overarching motive to establish a caliphate.
“NIA recovered five fabricated hand grenades, one timer device, three electric circuits, suspected explosive substance, different components for making IEDs/rockets and several other incriminating materials”, the agency said in a statement while adding that these hand grenades were made as a part of conspiracy to commit terrorist acts in different parts of the state.
The seizure was made from a place near Soladevenahalli Police Station, North District of Bengaluru after testimony given by a suspect named Habibur Rahman- member of proscribed Jamat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB).
Rehman was arrested on 25 June this year in a case related to a 2014 bomb blast in Burdwan in West Bengal. The arrest led to the discovery of a larger conspiracy to carry out several attacks in India and Bangladesh.
“While evading arrest as absconder, he was part of a JMB module which intended to wage war against the democratic setup of the state by conspiring to commit terrorist acts”, the agency said, while adding that he and other JMB members had raised funds by carrying out thefts in Bengaluru in 2018.
On 2 July, the Ministry of Home Affairs stated in the Parliament that it had received “some inputs of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) using some madrassas (Islamic educational institutions) in Burdwan and Murshidabad for radicalisation and recruitment activities”. Intelligence reports warned that the terror outfit is in the process of establishing a base close to India’s eastern border in the states of West Bengal, Assam, and Tripura.”

The accused, rejected asylum seeker Ali Bashar, 22, faces his verdict in a hearing Wednesday starting at 9:30 a.m. in a heavily guarded court in Wiesbaden, the city where the murder took place in May last year.
If found guilty, Bashar faces a likely sentence of life in prison, and could be kept behind bars beyond the usual maximum 15 years if judge Juergen Bonk finds the crime to be of exceptional severity.
Prosecutors charge that Bashar battered, raped and strangled the Jewish schoolgirl to death in a wooded area near railway tracks on May 23.
He then allegedly sent false messages from Susanna’s smartphone indicating she had left for an impromptu trip to Paris.
Her body was only found on June 6 in a shallow grave covered with leaves, twigs and soil.
By this time, Bashar and his family had left Germany and returned to Arbil in northern Iraq.
The accused was however arrested by Kurdish security forces and, even though Berlin and Baghdad have no formal extradition treaty, taken back to Germany.
Incapable of empathy
Federal police chief Dieter Romann personally joined the controversial operation, as newspaper front pages showed pictures of commandos escorting a heavily restrained Bashar off an aircraft.
Bashar later confessed the killing but denied the rape, claiming that he and the girl had consensual sex before she fell, got angry and threatened to call the police.
In a separate trial, Bashar is accused of twice raping an 11-year-old girl, who was believed to have also been sexually assaulted by an Afghan youth.
The Bashar case put renewed pressure on Merkel’s government over the decision to keep open German borders at the height of Europe’s refugee crisis.
Bashar, his parents and siblings arrived in Germany in 2015, at the peak of the influx that would bring more than a million asylum seekers, mostly from the Middle East and Africa.
His asylum request was rejected in late 2016, but he obtained a temporary residence permit pending his appeal.
During this time, he came to police attention for fights, alleged robbery and possession of an illegal switchblade.
Susanna’s mother, dressed in black during the almost four-month-long trial, broke down in tears as the court heard the harrowing details of the crime.
Bashar by contrast appeared composed during the trial, in which a psychiatrist testified the accused has a personality disorder and is incapable of empathy.”

“The prosecutor’s office of Agrigento has confirmed the seizure of the migrant transport ship the Alex after it brought 41 migrants to Lampedusa, as the government prepares to enact even larger fines against NGOs.
The ship, which is operated by the Italy-based NGO Mediterranea Saving Humans, was impounded this week and investigations have been launched against the commander of the ship Tommaso Stella and the head of the mission Erasmo Palazzotto, Il Giornale reports.
The two men are accused of facilitating illegal migration as well as resisting and disobeying a vessel belonging to Italian authorities. The NGO could also receive a fine of up to 65,000 euros.
The investigations follow another investigation into the head of Mediterranea Saving Humans Luca Casarini, who was interrogated by prosecutor Salvatore Vella in April in connection with aiding illegal migration.
The seizure comes only a week after the NGO announced it would be putting the Alex to sea to aid two other migrant transport NGOs operating off the coast of Libya in the search and rescue (SAR) zone and comes after the NGO’s other vessel, the Mare Jonio, was confiscated in May.
The seizure also comes a week after Sea Watch-3 captain Carola Rackete forced her vessel into Italian waters in an attempt to dock, ramming a patrol boat as she did so. While Rackete was initially arrested, she was released just days later.
Along with looking to amend the security and migration decree to confiscate ships flying the Italian flag, Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini is also looking to dramatically increase the severity of fines for NGOs which enter Italian territorial waters with migrants on board.
The new proposed fines could reach anywhere between 150,000 to a million euros, up from the previous amounts of 10,000 to 50,000 euros.
The increased fines will require the backing of the Five Star Movement, Salvini’s coalition partners, but could face scrutiny.”

Naples mayor Luigi De Magistris has, along with other left-wing mayors, been a major opponent to the migrant policies of Mr Salvini and continues to tell the world that Naples’ ports are open despite the nationwide ban on allowing migrant transport NGOs into Italian waters, Il Giornale reports.
Now, according to De Magistris, the mayor would like to turn his words into action and has promised to organise a “fleet” of various vessels including “sailing ships, rafts and boats” to sail directly into the sea and pick up migrants to bring them back to Naples.
“In this country truth and reality are overturned,” he said and added, “those who save lives are arrested, like Carola; those who hold people in boats hostage have no consequences.”
German national Carola Rackete, captain of the migrant transport vessel Sea Watch-3, was arrested after storming into Italian waters with dozens of migrants on board despite being told she was not allowed to dock at an Italian port. During her actions, Rackete also rammed a patrol boat.
De Magistris is not the only one expressing support for Rackete and the migrant transport NGOs. Italian priest Don Roberto Beretta from Pieve Porto Morone caused controversy earlier this week after dedicating mass to the arrested NGO captain claiming she “put God’s law before the law of men”.
Gian Marco Centinaio, a member of Salvini’s League and the current minister of agriculture, slammed Beretta saying: “Precisely because we are in a free country I allow myself to advise the priest to think a little more about his own parishioners instead of making these antics.”
Salvini has also been criticised by members of the Five Star Movement, the League’s coalition partner, over his migration policies. Defence minister Elisabetta Trenta claimed the recent events with migrant transport NGOs could have been avoided if Salvini had not backed out of the European Union’s Operation Sophia.
Operation Sophia was launched in 2015 and saw naval vessels pick up migrants in the Mediterranean and bring them to Italy. In total, around 18,390 migrants were brought to Italy under Operation Sophia.
In 2017, Libyan foreign minister Mohamad Taher Siala went as far as claiming Operation Sophia encouraged illegal migration saying: “I think this Sophia operation, it’s negative. It’s not positive. Simply because in part they encourage the migration.””

“Turkey made clear on Wednesday it has no intention of heeding a European Union warning to cease illegal drilling activities off Cyprus.
The discovery of huge gas reserves in the eastern Mediterranean has sparked a dispute between E.U. member Cyprus and Turkey, with Ankara last month sending a second ship called Yavuz to search for natural resources in the region.
“The drilling activities of our ship Yavuz are based on legal and legitimate grounds,” the Turkish foreign ministry said in a statement.
The Cyprus Mail reports the 230-meter (750-foot) Yavuz drillship dropped anchor on Monday to the south of Cyprus‘ Karpasia peninsula, a jutting northeastern panhandle. It triggered a strong protest from Nicosia and stern words from the E.U. but little else could be physically done to stop the intrusion.
In June, E.U. leaders warned Turkey to end drilling in waters around the island or face action from the bloc.
The Mail said Ankara, which does not have diplomatic relations with Cyprus, maintains certain areas in Cyprus‘ offshore maritime zone, known as an EEZ, fall under the jurisdiction of Turkey or of Turkish Cypriots, who have their own breakaway state in the north of the island which is recognised only by Turkey.
The United States and Egypt also warned Turkey against escalating tensions in the eastern Mediterranean.
“The United States remains deeply concerned by Turkey’s repeated attempts to conduct drilling operations in the waters off Cyprus,” the State Department said in a statement.
“We urge Turkish authorities to halt these operations and encourage all parties to act with restraint and refrain from actions that increase tensions in the region,” it said.
E.U. diplomats meet in Brussels on Wednesday to discuss any possible sanctions on Turkey.”

“The BBC’s latest pay data reveals that, after last year’s gender pay scandal and a campaign spearheaded by presenter Carrie Gracie, it has started treating its female presenters more fairly. Gracie won a legal dispute in 2018 against the broadcaster after discovering she was being paid less than her male counterparts.
Of its 75 highest-earning hosts, nearly half are now women (although they do still tend to earn less than the men). But if the gender pay gap was a scandal, the ethnic pay gap is a disgrace.
This isn’t just about what is ethically right, it is about what is creatively strong and commercially viable. Producers from different backgrounds will have access and ideas that others simply won’t.

Ethnic minorities are very well represented at the BBC as cleaners and canteen staff; less so as top earning stars. Minorities within minorities, like British Muslims, are even more invisible. Shunned by their national broadcaster, this often leaves them with no choice but to self-produce their own projects, as I have. In 2001, not long after I’d graduated, the BBC Director General described his organisation as “hideously white.” Eighteen years later, nothing has changed, certainly not at the top.
This matters because the media in general – and public broadcasters in particular – have an important mission. In an increasingly fragmented, divided and sometimes even hostile culture, shared cultural experiences through the media are one of the few unifying forces.
This is perhaps the ultimate purpose of national broadcasters: to give a nation or region a singular voice and identity.
There is a further obligation for public broadcasters to be representative because of their public funding. TV licenses and similar payments that are effectively obligatory taxes mean that many citizens are in a situation where they are forced to pay the salaries of a broadcaster’s management and staff, while they refuse to recognise or fairly represent many of those who pay their wages.
“Representation” is perhaps overused as a goal in these conversations. This creates the impression that all that is required is a tokenistic gesture on screen. However, just as important than including Muslims and other minorities on screen – if not more – is the work behind the camera. The producers that make the programmes and the commissioners who decide which programmes get made are in fact much more important to change than just the on-screen talent.
There are many instances at the BBC and other broadcasters of “diverse” talent being brought in on-screen and given a script to work from, to the neglect of the decision-making roles behind the camera. Many BBC news anchors, for example, are from ethnic minorities, giving the broadcaster the appearance of diversity whilst in reality they are reading verbatim from a teleprompter. By contrast, presenter-led documentaries where the host is also a consulting producer (and hence shapes the story itself) are more likely to be the preserve of establishment figures like Louis Theroux. All too often, new faces and names are used to serve old agendas and biases.
And those biases come at a cost. This isn’t just about what is ethically right, it is about what is creatively strong and commercially viable. Producers from different backgrounds will have access and ideas that others simply won’t.
For example, my 2017 feature film ‘One Day in The Haram,’ involved protracted negotiations with the Saudi authorities to gain unprecedented and unrestricted access to the Great Mosque in Mecca. Aside from the obvious barrier that non-Muslims are not permitted to enter Mecca, someone with a different background would have found it more difficult to gain the trust – let alone the filming permits – required for a production of that type.
My background and life experience has again been an advantage with my latest project, ‘One Night in Al Aqsa,’ which meant working closely with the Jordanian trust that administers the Al Aqsa Mosque – the third holiest site in Islam – in Jerusalem.
As well as building trust and providing access, minorities including Muslims can open up huge global commercial opportunities to national broadcasters. ‘One Day in the Haram’ was screened and distributed around the world and has been watched by over 30 million paying viewers. At a time when the BBC and other public broadcasters are facing funding pressures, preserving the status quo is a luxury they can no longer afford.
With their talents and projects side-lined, it is no surprise that many of the brightest Muslim broadcasters and producers in the UK, rather than stay with their national public broadcaster, go to foreign-owned competition, like Al Jazeera, TRT or even RT.
The only other option for those who want their ideas and ambitions to be recognised and nurtured is to self-produce, which is the route I eventually decided to take. It’s been a long and difficult journey but with the choice between career stagnation on the one hand, and forging our own paths on the other, it is a journey that many Muslim filmmakers will continue to make.

Facebook updated its community standards recently to include prohibiting threats that can lead to violence against anyone except for groups and people who media reports describe as dangerous.
The social platform’s new policy warns users not to post “threats that could lead to death” of any targets where a threat is considered an intent to commit violence against a person. Facebook puts in parentheses an odd exception: such threats are permitted against people or groups who have been established by media reports as dangerous.
Such threats are prohibited, the update notes, “unless the target is an organization or individual covered in the Dangerous Individuals and Organizations policy, or is described as having carried out violent crimes or sexual offenses, wherein criminal/predator status has been established by media reports, market knowledge of news event, etc.).”

This Court Decision is going to have very far reaching effects and it was a liberal Judge who made the decision, this action if the courts apply the same standard for everyone then we won’t need anymore regulation. This will open up the net to the conservatives without setting us up for the next Dem administration using the regulations to stop all conservative voices.

The statements come after IAEA spokesman Fredrik Dahl confirmed on Monday that Iran is enriching uranium above 3.67 percent – the level set by the 2015 nuclear agreement. Commenting on the decision, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani explained that Tehran’s move to reduce some of its commitments under the JCPOA was an attempt to save, not to undermine the JCPOA.”

European Commission home affairs commissioner Dimitris Avramopoulos has proposed a “provisional” distribution system to deal with the influx of new migrants as the Italian government, under the policies of interior minister Matteo Salvini, has refused docking of migrant transport NGO vessels at Italian ports.
German interior minister Horst Seehofer has said he will look at addressing the problem at the July 18th meeting of the Council of the European Union’s Justice and Home Affairs Ministers in Helsinki, saying he wished to “make a decisive commitment to a humanitarian and workable solution to the current challenges of migration across the Mediterranean”.
The recent arrest of German national Carola Rackete, who captained the migrant transport vessel Sea Watch-3, caused German Chancellor Angela Merkel to request Ms Rackete’s release and has sparked a new push from the German government and the EU to back an EU-wide redistribution of migrants.
Previous attempts at migrant redistribution failed due to rejections by central and eastern European countries like Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia, the nations which form the Visegrad group.
Countries like Germany and France have since proposed fines on countries which reject redistributed migrants and the European Commission has previously promised to slash funding to countries which opt out of the scheme.
The populist Italian government, meanwhile, has rejected incoming migrants and has greatly reduced the number of new arrivals by denying port access to migrant transport NGOs.
The number of new migrants has decreased so drastically that earlier this week interior minister Salvini closed the largest migrant reception centre in the country, which at its peak in 2014, housed over 4,100 migrants.”

A lot of dimensions to the campaign against Iran’s regional aggression aren’t making it into the mainstream Western news. That may well be a good thing, and it may be a good thing that this article itself will probably miss events and influences. Highlighting developments that could be polarized around to Iran’s advantage isn’t necessarily a useful service.
But after the UK’s Royal Marines seized a Panama-flagged, Dubai-owned super tanker last week off Gibraltar, which was carrying 2 million barrels of Iranian oil bound for Syria, a couple of questions nagged at me. Pulling the string on them put a bigger picture in perspective.
It’s worth laying out because the answers indicate the decisive, even politically kinetic effect sanctions are starting to have. And the effect goes beyond squeezing Iran’s bank account.
The questions for me were, first, why Iran had put so much oil in one shipment, which increased the single-incident loss if the ship didn’t make it through to Syria; and second, why Iran reacted so noisily, immediately acknowledging the cargo as Iranian (when care had been taken to load it somewhat covertly, on a ship without overt Iranian ownership or management), and issuing threats against the UK rather than trying quieter diplomacy through the EU.

There are several interesting things brought out in this article,
1) 2 days after the US Drone was attacked in the Gulf an oil unloading point off the Syrian Coast was damaged by and explosion (explosive probably planted by divers) that took out 5 pipelines.
2) a simplified listing of how the shell company game is played to try and get oil out of Iran to many locations including Syria.
3)The Brits seized the Iranian tanker carry oil to Syria because it was breaking EU sanctions blocking doing busines with Syria.
4) The rapid Iranian reaction to the seizure showed their anger about how a plan that was in action for several months was blown.
5) the Hezbollah furnished drones that are being used in Yeman to attack Saudi are the same rockets that were used on a Russian Base in Syria. Looks lide the Iranian Russian alliance seems to be slowly falling apart.
6) Syria has been turning to Russia for fuel which means the Iranian influence in Syria is possi8bly maybe even probably slipping.
