The town of Needles, California, may not be large in size. In fact, it has a population of 4,844.
However, it just made a huge move against California’s tendency to ignore the Second Amendment.
The small town, which borders Arizona in San Bernardino County, declared itself a Second Amendment “sanctuary city” last month, according to The Sacramento Bee. That’s not just words, however: It’s the opening salvo in a battle against the state’s restrictive gun laws.
“The City Council wanted our community to know that we support their Second Amendment rights to keep and bear arms,” Needles Mayor Jeff Williams said in a June 15 statement, according to The Bee.
“While we recognize that all lawful gun owners are responsible for ensuring they are compliant with state and federal gun laws, we also recognize that the State of California cannot adopt laws that impair the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment.”

The decision, which was reported on state media, comes at a time of heightened security in the country following a double suicide bombing in the capital, Tunis, on June 27 that left two people dead and seven wounded.
Witnesses said one of the bombers was disguised in a niqab. The Interior Ministry denied this and said the mastermind of the bombings blew himself up on Tuesday to evade capture.

6. Heavy Fighting Erupts Between Indian, Pakistani Forces in Kashmir Region – Reports
Heavy firing exchanges were reported on Friday between Indian and Pakistani forces on the so-called Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed Jammu and Kashmir region, local media reported.
Indian Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand told the IANS news agency that Pakistani troops had violated the ceasefire with mortar shelling in the LoC area at about 21:00 p.m local time on Friday.
According to the ANI news agency, the ceasefire violation occurred in the Nowshera Sector of the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistani forces reportedly started firing with small arms followed by mortar shelling along the LoC. There have been no reports on damage or casualties.
The Pakistani military has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the IANS news agency said that fire exchange along the LoC is continuing.

I had always made sure therefore, no father was in me. A complete rejection. I functioned with half a brain.
