“Italian migrant transport NGO Mediterranea Saving Humans has launched a new vessel into the Mediterranean following the confiscation of their other ship.
The new ship, the Alex, set sail this week to the area off the coast of Libya known as the SAR (search and rescue) zone with the head of the group declaring that the vessel will pick up illegal immigrants and take them to Italian ports, Il Giornale reports.
Luca Casarini, the head of the NGO, had been under investigation by Italian authorities in connection with people trafficking and was interrogated by deputy prosecutor of Agrigento Salvatore Vella in April.
In a press release, the NGO stated: “We will reach the so-called Libyan SAR, an area controlled by militias colluding with human traffickers legitimised by Italian and European Union policies. Our presence is the only real deterrent to their action.”
The group also mentioned Sea Watch-3 captain Carola Rackete, who was arrested by Italian authorities over the weekend after ramming a patrol boat in an attempt to forcibly land migrants in an Italian port, claiming that Rackete had simply done “what is right”.
The mission of the Alex will not be to directly pick up migrants, as the vessel is not equipped for such a task, but to support two other migrant transport NGOs operating in the Libyan SAR zone.
So far, Mediterranea Saving Humans has managed to raise over 800,000 euros toward their migrant transport operation, well above the original 700,000 euro goal.
Reports from last month showed that the NGO, along with Sea Watch, had spent millions of euros in the last few years on their operations in the Mediterranean.
Populist Italian interior minister Matteo Salvini, whose policies have led to a drastic decrease in drowning deaths and illegal migration, has labelled Sea Watch a human trafficking organisation and recently sent patrol boats to stop other vessels from entering Italian waters with migrants on board.”
Germany: Berlin condemns ‘completely unacceptable’ threats against sea rescuers
German Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rainer Breul condemned what he called “completely unacceptable” threats and hate speech directed at German Sea-Watch 3 rescue ship Captain Carola Rackete, which he said had forced her to hide in “a secret location for safety reasons,” while speaking at a regular government press conference on Wednesday in Berlin.
Breul also denounced Wednesday’s attack on the Tajoura Detention Centre in Tripoli, which left 40 people dead and around 80 injured. He stressed that those who had carried out the attack “have to be held accountable” for it.
Rackete was detained in Italy after refusing to comply with a ban on entering Italy’s territorial waters, and docking her vessel in the port of Lampedusa on Saturday, ramming a police boat in the process, after spending weeks at sea and with 40 migrants on board.
She was subsequently put under house arrest but was freed by an Italian judge on Tuesday, who said that she had not broken the law and that she had been carrying out her duty to protect human life.
Italy: Rakete ‘free to go to Germany’ says Sea-Watch legal expert
Sea-Watch legal expert Giorgia Linardi told journalists in Rome on Wednesday that Sea-Watch 3 Captain Carola Rakete was ‘now completely free’ after being released from detention the day before.
Linardi said that there was ‘particular interest’ from Interior Minister Matteo Salvini to expel Rakete from the country, but that the prosecutor does not give the authorisation out of interest for continuing the judiciary procedure.
“Therefore, she is free to go to Germany, if she wants it, but she shouldn’t,” said Linardi, adding that the prosecutor will interrogate Rakete on July 9.
Linardi also hit out at Salvini, saying that he would be the first to help out migrants if he were to witness a sea rescue operation from on board a Sea-Watch vessel. And if he did not help, then that would make him “a monster,” according to Linardi.
She also said that Sea-Watch were tired of being insulted by Salvini “from morning to night,” adding, “no one should dare to call us vice-smugglers, criminals, or sea taxi drivers, without having any proof of it.”
Moreover, Linardi criticised Salvini for not saying “half a word” nor taking any actions against the insults that were reportedly addressed to Rakete.
Rakete, a 31-year-old German national, was detained after refusing to comply with a ban on entering Italy’s territorial waters. The vessel was carrying more than 40 migrants and after weeks at sea the captain decided to port in Lampedusa over the weekend.
On Tuesday, a judge said Rakete had not broken the law and she had been carrying out her duty to protect human life, prompting criticism from Salvini, who promised to expel Rakete as soon as possible.

According to the indictment filed on June 20 in U.S. District Court in Asheville, North Carolina, Vendevere allegedly sent Rashid a photo of a lynching along with derogatory comments about Muslims and the Prophet Muhammad, and ended the post writing, “PLEASE … VIEW YOUR DESTINY.”

The reason was investigations against five Nigerian citizens on suspicion of blackmailing compatriots. There were findings that the suspects had blackmailed protection money. At the request of the Lörrach public prosecutor’s office, the Lörrach working group ordered the searches.The Freiburg criminal police coordinated the operation, which was carried out with the assistance of the local police and the police headquarters. Various pieces of evidence were seized in the searched accommodations. The accused, aged between 21 and 30 years, were investigated and questioned. “A swimming pool in the German town of Kehl had to be shut down early by police after a group of 50 North African French-speaking youths caused havoc among the bathers.
The town, which is located on the German-French border next to Strasbourg, often sees many French visitors according to the manager of the pool, but staff were forced to contact police after the dozens of youths began to cause a disturbance to other bathers, Schwarzwälder Bote reports.
The city’s press release stated that the young people had stormed the diving tower in the early evening, as well as a number of them jumping from all sides into the pool and had ignored instructions from staff.
When asked by the local newspaper to describe the perpetrators, Florian König, manager of the Auenheimer outdoor swimming pool, said: “The police call them Nafris.”
The term “Nafri” became well-known following the Cologne New Year’s sex attacks and has been criticised as being a racist term, with the Cologne police being accused of “racial profiling” the following year after the attacks.
Police later defended the term and an internal document described “Nafris” stating: “The clientele behaves very aggressively against intervening police officers and city colleagues… Armaments (folding knives) are regularly carried.”
The pool manager described that the young North African-heritage men often cross the border to Germany to use the pool, causing trouble, but noted: “This year [the behaviour] has gotten extremely bad.”
Neighbouring France also saw several incidents at swimming pools over the weekend. In Corbeil, a swimming pool had to be evacuated after a group of youths, described as being aged between 13 and 15, defecated in it.
The day before in Draveil, three men in their twenties, said to have been intoxicated at the time, were accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls. The teens reported them to pool staff and the three men were then arrested by police but later released.

“A homeless migrant from Afghanistan was arrested over the weekend after attempting to kill a Paris police officer with a shard of glass following a brawl.
The incident took place on Sunday evening in the 18th arrondissement of Paris and saw around ten people, some armed with wooden weapons, brawl with each other before plainclothes police officers attempted to break up the fighting, Le Parisien reports.
As the officers proceeded to calm the situation, a 19-year-old homeless Afghan migrant, who was in a state of intoxication, broke a bottle on a pole and rushed one of the officers with a shard of glass in an attempt to kill him.
The officer managed to dodge the attack but was unable to subdue the migrant, even after deploying his baton. Another officer then sprayed the migrant with tear gas, which also had no effect on the Afghan.
One of the officers then proceeded to draw his firearm, which caused the migrant to drop the shard of glass and attempt to run from the scene. The officers soon caught up to the young man, detained him, and placed him under arrest for attempted homicide of a police officer…”

There is almost nothing to say about the fact that Nike recalled a patriotic American flag shoe after Colin Kaepernick complained. It is so self-evidently absurd and disgraceful — such a cowardly surrender to political correctness — that analysis is rendered moot.
Kaepernick reportedly felt that the flag — a Betsy Ross flag from the American Revolution — somehow represents slavery. Of course, if the American flag represents slavery, then every flag of every country 200 years old or over also represents slavery. Slavery was a universally accepted institution all across the world for thousands of years. The only thing unique about American slavery is that we practiced it for such a comparatively short amount of time. Egypt had slavery for 3,000 years. We had it for 90. These are facts that have apparently escaped Kaepernick’s notice.
The one notable, though far from surprising, aspect of this story is how it finally exposes the truth behind Kaepernick’s kneeling stunt. We were told for years that the kneelers were not protesting the flag — or the country or the national anthem, for that matter. A viral tweet with over 300,000 likes summed up this defense: “Rosa Parks was not protesting the bus. Gandhi was not protesting the food. The colonists were not protesting tea. Players are not protesting the flag or the anthem. They are protesting injustice.”

Nike decided to celebrate the Fourth of July by announcing that the original flag of the United States is an “offensive symbol” after demands from anti-American black nationalist activist Colin Kaepernick. That’s right after joining in a propaganda social media crackdown orchestrated by the People’s Republic of China trying to suppress Christian democracy protests in Hong Kong.
That’s not a consistent pattern of wokeness. It’s a company whose shoes are produced in Asian sweatshops pandering to the Chi Coms while attacking America.
When Nike takes the PRC side on democracy protests, but then treats protests against the American flag and the anthem as something it needs to support and subsidize, that’s a foreign propaganda operation.
And maybe we ought to start treating Nike and other ‘woke’ brands like RT, Sputnik and other foreign propaganda ops.
If companies are going to turn social justice into their brand, it’s time to take a look at where their cash is coming from, how they interface with government officials and state owned firms in foreign countries, and what their motivations are for colluding in attacks on America.

According to Big League Politics, Antifa plans acid attacks on Conservatives who attend the Free Speech Rally on July 6, 2019. A person who calls himself “Pound On Your Boy” has been posting the threats on a Telegram channel often used by Conservatives, and in particular, Proud Boys.
A user with the name “POUND ON YOUR BOY” made several threats against the rally, prompting co-organizer Enrique Tarrio to contact the FBI and DHS, who are now planning to provide additional security to the event.

White House Slams Judge Blocking Trump’s Asylum Policy – ‘No Judge Has Authority to Impose Their Open Borders Views on the Country’
The White House on Wednesday responded to US District Judge for the Western District of Washington, Marsha Pechman, a Clinton appointee who ruled on Tuesday that migrants who are detained after entering the US seeking asylum are entitled to bond hearings.
The White House called the Clinton-appointed activist an “unelected district judge” who is “at war” with the rule of law.
“No single district judge has legitimate authority to impose his or her open borders views on the country,” the statement said.
The White House on Wednesday said it will seek to limit the authority of district judges to issue national injunctions, The Hill reported.

On Thursday, the United States Supreme Court ruled that partisan gerrymandering is a non-justiciable issue, meaning courts have no role to play in politics. Democrats assailed the Republicans on the Supreme Court as activists for not taking power for the Court. It is somewhat hilarious to realize the Democrats are complaining that a Republican-nominated Supreme Court majority refused to acquire the power by which they could draw congressional districts.
Democrats have used gerrymandering as a weapon against Republicans for decades. The only reason Democrats are screaming now is because they lost so badly in 2010, giving Republicans the ability to draw congressional lines for the past decade. Prior to 2010, Democrats controlled most state legislatures and controlled Congress until the mid-’90s. As the South and Midwest slipped away, so to did their abilities to draw lines. It Turns Out A Russian Oligarch Paid The Man Hired By Hillary Clinton To Claim Trump Colluded With Russia
The more we learn about the origins of the investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election, the more Russian connections link back to Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
During an interview with The Hill’s John Solomon, Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska acknowledged that he paid Christopher Steele (who was hired through an intermediary by the Clinton campaign to compile the infamous and discredited “Steele Dossier” alleging Team Trump colluded with Russia in 2016) for a research project.
“It was a research project to support one of the cases against me in London,” Deripaska told Solomon. “But my understanding was that lawyers trust him for some reason and he was for quite a time on retainer.”
Steele was hired initially by Deripaska in 2012, but the oligarch was unaware he had been working for the FBI. It should be noted that the Trump administration levied sanctions against Deripaska and he is engaged in a legal battle with the State Department over them and his inability to get a visa to come to the U.S.

Jaffer said in a June 28, 2019 Friday sermon at the Masumeen Islamic Centre in Brampton, a suburb of Ontario, Canada, that it is the way of the Prophet’s Household to stand up to humiliation and bullying like Iran and its leadership have been standing up to U.S. President Donald Trump’s bullying.
He said that Trump has been a bully his entire life, and he criticized him for withdrawing from the JCPOA for “egocentric” reasons.
Sheikh Jaffer said that he hopes the tensions between Iran and the U.S. will subside without loss of innocent life, and he prayed for more leaders like Supreme Leader Khamenei and Ayatollah Ali Sistani and for Allah to help the Houthi leaders in Yemen, who he praised for refusing to succumb to those who are more powerful than them.

She is “the weakest minister in the government”, the former European Parliament president said. “[But] apparently such a performance suffices to become head of the commission.”
Among members of her own party, on the other hand, there was relief. “It’s good for the army that she’s going,” said one Christian Democratic Union MP. “Her years as minister have been really hard for the armed forces.”
Ms von der Leyen’s surprise nomination has provoked widespread bemusement in Germany. Mistrusted by her fellow Christian Democrats, pilloried by the opposition and disliked by many of the generals under her command, she cuts a lonely figure in Berlin. Few ministries have generated as many negative headlines as hers over the years. Yet she has now been named to one of the most powerful jobs in Europe.

Prior to taking over at the Defense Ministry (long considered a graveyard for promising German political careers), the ambitious von der Leyen had a nearly flawless career. She has mostly been loyal to Chancellor Angela Merkel, who counts on her as a solid pillar in her Cabinet.

The Bundeswehr was, and still is afflicted by outdated and defective equipment, ill-conceived arms projects and a severe shortage of experts. Even though von der Leyen doesn’t have many friends in Berlin, the ones she does have matter. The minister is close to Wolfgang Schäuble, the influential president of the German parliament. For more than a decade, the two met for breakfast once a week, a tradition that only ended when Schäuble became Bundestag president.
Her most important ally, however, is Angela Merkel, whom von der Leyen has stuck by through thick and thin. Merkel has returned the loyalty by leaving von der Leyen in place despite mounting problems at the defense ministry — and by backing her for the Commission leadership.

Von der Leyen’s rapid rise fueled speculation that she could one day step into Merkel’s shoes. Yet her failure to put the German military back on track dashed whatever hopes she may have had of becoming chancellor.
Fixing the German army, which had been starved of resources for years after the end of the Cold War, was a herculean task. Von der Leyen blamed many of the problems facing the armed forces on her predecessors. Now in her fifth year atop the ministry, she can no longer point fingers.
Her biggest failure at the ministry may have been in not winning over the officer corps and troops. As a woman in a male-dominated universe, von der Leyen was never going to have an easy task. But current and former aides describe her management style as distant and defensive. She surrounded herself at the ministry with a small group of aides who kept tight control on the flow of information. Many interactions with rank-and-file troops were in the form of photo-ops, which often showed the minister in dramatic poses alongside military equipment.
She offended many service members by saying publicly in 2017, after the discovery of a right-wing extremist in the ranks, that the Bundeswehr suffered from “weak leadership at various levels.”

Once one of Germany’s most popular politicians, she fell out of the top 10 last year.
That’s just one reason her party would be more than happy to see her go to Brussels. Another is that her departure would open up a key slot in Merkel’s Cabinet. If all goes according to plan, the chancellor would fill the post with her hand-picked successor, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, who succeeded Merkel as CDU leader in December. Von der Leyen’s departure would offer Kramp-Karrenbauer a perfect opportunity to prove herself in a big job.
What the rest of Europe gets out of the bargain is another question.
