Each day at just after midnight Eastern, a post like this one is created for contributors and readers of this site to upload news links and video links on the issues that concern this site. Most notably, Islam and its effects on Classical Civilization, and various forms of leftism from Soviet era communism, to postmodernism and all the flavours of galloping statism and totalitarianism such as Nazism and Fascism which are increasingly snuffing out the classical liberalism which created our near, miraculous civilization the West has been building since the time of Socrates.

This document was written around the time this site was created, for those who wish to understand what this site is about. And while our understanding of the world and events has grown since then, the basic ideas remain sound and true to the purpose.

So please post all links, thoughts and ideas that you feel will benefit the readers of this site to the comments under this post each day. And thank you all for your contributions.

    The Abboud, who fled from Syria to (still) civilized Germany, wants to become a German citizen – together with his three wives and 13 children (photo above). Anyone who thinks that this is not possible does not know the abstruse reality in Germany and the even more abstruse ideas of the Federal Minister of Justice and Social Democrats’ top candidate for the upcoming European elections. As haOlam.de already reported, the Federal Ministry of Justice has prevented changes in the naturalization law, according to which persons with an unclarified identity (sic!) or who live in polygamous marriage are denied the acquisition of German citizenship.What this frontal attack on constitutional principles in naturalization law and on civilizing achievements looks like in practice can now be admired in an example. Abboud Sweid has three wives and 13 children, the 14th child soon to be born. In a newspaper interview, the polygamist says: “I would be happy if I could become a German citizen”. The fact that this is not one of the famous “individual cases” is made clear by various media reports, which, among other things, addressed how overburdened the social security offices are in some cases by having to pay the transfer payments to the new “families” financed by the taxpayer.

  2. This article is about a precious metals trader who sings like a bird so to receive a reduced sentence. The article, in itself, is just another example of PM market suppression.

    The pageant of chaos that we study and parse rides on the money road. When the money, which is merely a medium of exchange, loses trust, the road crumbles.

    Fiat is debt, so debt is fiat. Both are printed at will and simutaneously. Debt in our time is printed to finance socialism, environmentalist fanaticism, Islamic hijrah, gender fluidity state propaganda and every other symptom of postmodern deconstruction. It is not printed in equal measure to defend against these tyrannies, nor will it be. It is not being printed to counter in earnest the denigration of white males or Jews or Christians, because if it were we would hear competing narratives. Meager voices of such nascent narratives are now being snuffed by the tech monsters.

    The Red Chinese haven’t particularly rich deposits. Rather, they have the desperate determination to amass monetary metals. They know that he who owns the gold makes the rules. They care nothing of the human or environmental toll.

    Like an epic dance of musical chairs we dance to the music in an information battle space dominated by fiat-fueled dissonance. But once the music dies so will this dissonance. Left will be the bare, raw monotone of postmodern insolvency which will sing in its way like the siren song of the most beautiful bird ever.

    “A prominent international rights group says Yemen’s Houthi rebels had stored explosives in a warehouse in a residential area in the capital that caught fire last month, killing at least 15 children and wounding more than 100 people.

    The New York-based Human Rights Watch and an independent Yemeni rights organization released a joint statement on Thursday urging the Houthis to “stop storing large concentrations of volatile materials in densely populated areas.”

    In Yemen’s civil war, the Iran-backed Houthis have been fighting a Saudi-led military coalition backing Yemeni President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi’s forces since March 2015.

    The Houthis control the capital, Sanaa.

    The statement said the initial cause of the fire remains unknown. However, it cited media reports saying Saudi-led forces had launched an airstrike in this area that day.”

    “Three Sunni Muslim men were convicted on Thursday of engaging in a terror act by burning down a Shiite mosque in the Australian city of Melbourne three years ago.

    A Victoria state Supreme Court jury convicted Abdullah Chaarani, Ahmed Mohamed and Hatim Moukhaiber over the firebombing of the Imam Ali Islamic Center on Dec. 11, 2016. No one was injured in the blaze.

    Mohamed and Moukhaiber had both denied any involvement. Chaarani conceded that he was there, but argued he had been part of an act of protest, advocacy or dissent, but not terrorism.

    Chaarani and Mohamed were also found guilty of attempting to commit a terror act over a failed attempt to burn the mosque down two weeks earlier on Nov. 25.

    The three will appear in court for sentencing next week. They each face a potential maximum sentence of life in prison.

    During the trial, prosecutor Nicholas Robinson argued Chaarani’s involvement was terrorism because the mosque was targeted to intimidate Shiites

    The words “Islamic State” were also spray painted on the exterior of the building.

    Mohamed and Chaarani had previously been convicted of planning a terrorist attack on central Melbourne locations including the Federation Square restaurant and nightclub precinct, St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral and Flinders Street train station on Christmas Day in 2016.

    They were among five men found guilty in November last year after the plot was foiled by police who listened to their plans and watched their reconnaissance at Federation Square. The five have yet to be sentenced on those convictions.

    The latest trial heard evidence that after the first failed attempt to destroy the mosque, Mohamed and Chaarani returned with Moukhaiber in December with a 20-liter (5.3-gallon) container of gasoline and two car tires to keep the blaze going.”

    • AUSTRALIA – ‘You are dogs’: Jury sworn at as trio are found guilty of Melbourne mosque terror act

      Three men have been found guilty of engaging in a terror act by trying to burn down a suburban Melbourne mosque.

      A Supreme Court jury today returned the verdict for Abdullah Chaarani, Ahmed Mohmed and Hatim Moukhaiber who had stood trial charged with crimes over the burning of the Imam Ali Islamic Centre at Fawkner on December 11, 2016.

      The court was closed shortly after the verdict was returned as Moukhaiber said “you are dogs” to the jury and members of the public started calling out.

      Mohamed and Moukhaiber had both denied any involvement and while Chaarani admitted he was there, argued he had been part of an act of protest, advocacy or dissent, and not terrorism.

      Chaarani and Mohmed were also found guilty of attempting to commit a terrorist act over a failed first attempt to attack the mosque on November 25 the same year.

      During the trial, prosecutor Nicholas Robinson QC argued Chaarani’s involvement was terrorism because the Shia mosque was targeted to intimidate Shia muslims.

    “A brazen Taliban attack on U.S.-based aid group in the Afghan capital raised concerns Thursday among other relief organizations they could be targeted even as the insurgents hold peace talks with a U.S. envoy.

    Authorities say Wednesday’s assault on the Kabul office of Counterpart International, a group that promotes gender equity, killed at least nine people.

    The Taliban set off a huge explosion and battled security forces for over six hours before they were repelled. Those killed included three Afghan employees of the organization and two of its security guards.

    On its website, Counterpart International said it was “devastated to have lost” members of its family in the “senseless attack.”

    Abdul Halim Halim, head of Afghan Relief, an aid agency that provides education and assistance to returning refugees, expressed his concerns for more than 200 of the group’s employees across the country.

    “Egypt has deported 79 Sudanese nationals who were trying to cross into Libya to head onward to Europe.

    Egyptian officials at the Cairo International Airport say the Sudanese were among dozens of migrants, including Egyptians and citizens of other African countries, who were detained earlier this month in the northwestern city of Marsa Matrouh. It was not clear what happened to the others.

    The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.

    Libya became a major conduit for African migrants and refugees fleeing to Europe after the uprising that toppled and killed Moammar Gadhafi in 2011. Thousands have perished while making the perilous sea crossing to Europe while others have been detained and abused in Libya by smugglers and armed groups.”

    On May 4, five members of the Alliance for Israel and I attended an event at UMass that featured Linda Sarsour, Roger Waters, and Marc Lamont Hill. Despite being advertised as an academic panel, the event was a pro-BDS political rally, with Sarsour leading the troops with chants of “Free, free Palestine” and fists held high in the air.

    As we sat and watched her speak in the Fine Arts Center in Amherst, my colleagues and I observed Sarsour’s insidious tactics first-hand. For example, shortly after Lamont Hill refused to condemn the Hamas attacks on Israel, an Israeli member of the audience broke down in tears while shouting about the Hamas terrorism that was shattering the lives of his friends and family. Without missing a beat, Sarsour held the microphone to her mouth and drew the audience’s attention to the fact that the outburst was directed at Lamont Hill, and suggested it was a racist act against “the only black man” on the panel. Her lack of empathy was chilling, as was her ability to manipulate and redirect the reactions of the audience.

    “An imam working in the French city of Rouen was arrested along with another individual on suspicion of aiding the illegal migration of individuals across the English Channel.
    The imam, who came to France seeking asylum as a political refugee, and one other who is also reported to be of the Muslim faith, were arrested in Normandy on April 30th after investigators alleged that the two men, aged 39 and 29, had been helping migrants cross the English Channel since December 2018, French newspaper La Voix du Nord reports.

    Most of the crossings took place in either Bray-Dunes, which lies next to Belgium, or the commune of Audresselles which lies just outside of Calais. Investigators say the pair also admitted to providing either six or seven inflatable boats to migrants trying to make the voyage to the UK.

    The accused appeared before Boulogne Criminal Court on Monday but claimed that they both need more time to properly prepare their defence and the court granted their request, adjourning the proceedings until June 3rd.

    The prosecutor attempted to have them held in custody until the next hearing but the court denied the request.

    Following a number of landings and attempted crossings last December, British Home Secretary Sajid Javid called for, “an urgent call with his French counterpart over the weekend to reaffirm the continuing need for the UK and France to work closely together to tackle the problem.”

    On Christmas day alone, around 40 migrants were picked up by the British Border Force in five separate incidents in the channel.

    Earlier this year, undercover reporters revealed that the people traffickers aiding the illegal migrants were boasting to them that they would be guaranteed to get to the UK and never be sent back. One Afghan man named Aanam even bragged about helping at least 300 migrants cross into the UK illegally.”

    “Syrian regime troops captured the entire northwestern village of Qalaat al-Madiq on Thursday as they move deeper toward Idlib province, the last major opposition stronghold, activists and pro-regime media reported.

    The village, known for its medieval fortress, was taken after militants pulled out, according to Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

    Idlib-based activist Alaa Moadamani also confirmed the village’s capture.

    The pro-regime Syrian Central Military Media said troops took Qalaat al-Madiq and two smaller nearby villages. Regime troops had been holding the nearby fortress, which also carries the name of Qalaat al-Madiq, the Associated Press reported.

    The village, near the Orontes River, is a gateway to the fertile plain of al-Ghab, a breadbasket for the central province of Hama.

    Thursday’s push came a day after regime troops took the nearby village of Kfar Nabudah.

    According to UN data, more than 150,000 people have been displaced recently within the enclave.”

    The world’s largest wood-carved Quran measures 1.77 by 1.40 metres (5.8 by 4.6 feet) and can be found in the Indonesian city of Palembang, as shown in footage from Thursday.

    The Quran’s creator, Shofwatillah Mohzaib, reportedly created the holy book in the form of 30 Quranic juz – traditional divisions of the Quran – in nine years.

    Footage shows devotees praying in front of the Quran and examining its inscriptions up close.

  26. IRELAND – DUBLIN – Teacher jailed for molesting student during religious instruction in mosque has sentence tripled after appeal

    A religious teacher jailed for molesting a young student at a Dublin mosque has had his 14-month jail term increased to four-and-a-half years by the Court of Appeal.

    Abdur Rashid (51), with an address at Blessington Court, in Dublin, had denied sexually assaulting the six-year-old girl during religious instruction at the mosque on a date in December 2015.

    The Bangladeshi national was found guilty by a jury at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court and sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, with the final four months suspended, by Judge Pauline Codd last November.

    The Director of Public Prosecutions sought a review of Rashid’s sentence on grounds that it was “unduly lenient”, and the Court of Appeal agreed today.

    Giving judgment in the three-judge court, Mr Justice Patrick McCarthy said Rashid was a teacher in the mosque providing religious instruction to children, including the victim.

    He said Rashid kissed the girl in an adult manner, placed his hands under her clothing, and touched the genital area.

    The victim’s mother confronted Rashid, who denied knowing anything about it. He made certain admission to gardaí, which he subsequently “rowed back on”, and pleaded not guilty for a three-day trial, in which the victim was cross-examined.

    Counsel for the DPP, Peter Le Vert BL, submitted that the sentencing judge erred in placing the offence at the lower end of the scale of seriousness.

    Mr Le Vert said the skin-to-skin contact and the fact Rashid was in a position of authority “firmly” placed the offence in the mid-range. Furthermore, there was no guilty plea and no expression of remorse, counsel added.

    Mr Justice McCarthy said the offence was of “considerable gravity”.

    He said the young girl became traumatised by the incident. She had nightmares, required counselling, and was diagnosed as suffering from anxiety. She was afraid she would contract a disease from the kiss and that Rashid would remove her from school.

    The offence also had an adverse affect on the victim’s family, particularly the girl’s mother, the judge added.

    Mr Justice McCarthy said the mitigating factors were “modest”. He said Rashid had been living in Ireland since 2001, had a history of work and had no relevant previous convictions.

    “Whether by coincidence or design,” Mr Justice McCarthy said Rashid developed a number of mental health issues a year after the offence.

    He said a consultant psychiatrist at the Central Mental Hospital found Rashid to have been “malingering” when examined, and concluded that he did not have any psychiatric illness at that time.

    The Court of Appeal found the sentencing judge to have erred in selecting two years as the pre-mitigation headline sentence.

    Mr Justice McCarthy, who sat with Mr Justice John Edwards and Ms Justice Isobel Kennedy, said five-and-a-half years was the appropriate starting point, with a one year discount for the mitigating factors.

    The court did not suspend any portion of the sentence, but directed two years post-release supervision.

    Rashid was immediately taken into custody.

    North Korea on Thursday launched two short-range missiles, marking the second weapons test in less than a week and further straining U.S.-led efforts toward denuclearizing the Korean Peninsula.

    The South Korean joint chiefs of staff announced the launch in a statement, saying the missiles were fired from the northwest city of Kusong and traveled roughly 260 miles to the east. American negotiators are currently in South Korea for discussions on how to break the impasse following two high-level summits between President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un that failed to secure any lasting changes.

  28. Maduro providing a ‘safe haven’ for Iranian terrorists in the West, Pence says

    Venezuelan strongman Nicolás Maduro is partnering with Iran to establish a beachhead for terrorist groups in the Western Hemisphere, Vice President Mike Pence warned Tuesday.

    “The Iranian regime has been working with Venezuela’s corrupt dictatorship to establish a safe haven for its terrorist proxies,” Pence said in an address before the Council of the Americas.

    Maduro loyalists deny that Hezbollah, the preeminent terrorist subsidiary of Iran, has a presence in Venezuela, even though the regime’s top diplomat traveled to Beirut to meet with a Hezbollah leader last month. U.S. officials have contradicted those denials for years, but Pence’s State Department speech intensified the allegations just days after the dictator withstood an opposition-led call for a military uprising to overthrow the regime.

    CARACAS (Reuters) – Venezuelan intelligence agents detained opposition leader Juan Guaido’s congressional deputy on Wednesday, using a tow truck to drag his vehicle away with him inside, prompting the U.S. government to warn of “consequences” if he was not released.

    The SEBIN intelligence agency seized Edgar Zambrano, vice president of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, which Guaido heads, in the first arrest of a lawmaker since Guaido tried to spark a military uprising last week to bring down President Nicolas Maduro’s government.

  32. Social media post: Crew of Iranian tanker alleges ‘missile attack’ in disabling Red Sea incident

    At the beginning of May, a report came out in maritime-industry media that an Iranian oil tanker, M/V Happiness I, had lost both propulsion and steering in the Red Sea, and was in distress near the Saudi port of Jeddah. I thought that odd enough to look into at the time, given the ship’s identity, location, and comprehensive loss of maneuvering capability, which is relatively rare.

    Happiness I (IMO 9212905; see here as well) was built in 2003 in South Korea and has been active ever since, including recently, so she is neither notably old nor likely to be out of proper maintenance. It’s more common to suffer either a steering or propulsion casualty, but both at once make for a radar blip that’s worth tracking.

    At a maritime tracking website last week, I saw that Happiness I’s status was given as “not under command,” which in marine terms means a ship is unable because of exceptional circumstances to maneuver, and can’t keep out of the way of another vessel in accordance with the maritime “Rules of the Road.” That indicates comprehensive system failure.

    • There is a good information and then some speculation about what happened to that tanker. She speculates that any missiles involved were being shipped to Syria for use there. What if they weren’t? VP Pence is talking about the terrorists that Iran is shipping to Venezuela, would they ship terrorists without arming them? Could the Iranians be planning some big attack in or on the US this summer?

        • Yes the Middle East is still the location with the highest probability, however we can’t ignore the homeland. We did that under Clinton and 9-11 happened, now we are recovering from the Obama years and we are still a prime target.

          One of the problems is that as you say the twisted ragheads are building a terror infrastructure in LA (and probably other locations). Hezbollah brags about the thousands of people they have implanted across the US and threaten to turn them loose.       Secretary of State Mike Pompeo cancelled a scheduled meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in order to go to Baghdad on a sudden unannounced visit. His purpose was to warn Iraq’s leaders about a “very specific” threat of Iranian attacks which, he said, “were imminent.” Secretary Pompeo told reporters after his meetings that he wanted assurances that Iraq is “able to adequately protect Americans in their country.” Secretary Pompeo’s warning followed the deployment of a U.S. aircraft carrier strike group to the Middle East. The Pentagon has also sent nuclear-capable B-52s to the region.

      There are approximately 5,200 U.S. troops currently in Iraq, who the Iranian regime has declared are legitimate targets. The regime has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, which is a vital navigation route for the shipments of global oil. Israel had also reportedly passed on intelligence to the United States within the last couple of weeks of an Iranian plan to attack either U.S. or U.S.-allied interests in the Gulf.

      The Trump administration decided, along with the ratcheting up of its sanctions against Iran, that a strong military presence in the region is the best deterrence. The administration is positioning the United States to be fully prepared to protect the interests of the U.S. and its allies in the region against any aggression the Iranians may decide to launch themselves or through their proxies. Secretary Pompeo’s visit to Iraq was meant to convey personally the need for Iraq to do its part in preventing the Iran-backed militias in the country from attacking U.S. forces stationed in Iraq.

    When a Neo-Nazi gunman opened fire in a California synagogue, his targets included 9-year-old Noya Dahan and her uncle, Almog Peretz.

    The Dahan family had moved to California from Sderot, an Israeli city a mile away from Gaza populated mostly by Jewish refugees from Muslim countries, which had become a symbol of life under rocket fire.

    Obama visited Israel when he was running for office, and stopped by Sderot. He met a boy who had lost his leg to a rocket attack, saw a collection of rockets that had fallen on Israeli homes, and told the locals, “if missiles were falling where my two daughters sleep, I would do everything in order to stop that.”

    But when Israel tried to stop missiles from falling on Sderot, Obama did everything possible, not to stop the missiles from falling on Sderot, but to stop Israel. When Obama returned to Israel in 2013, he didn’t visit Sderot. But shrapnel from a Hamas rocket fired during his visit landed in a Sderot kindergarten.

    The media loves the First Amendment so much that it’s obsessed with destroying it.

    This week’s shiny object attack on freedom of speech is an op-ed by Facebook billionaire Chris Hughes, best known as the guy who turned the New Republic magazine into an illiterate social justice blog, calling for breaking up Facebook and creating a government agency that will determine what you can say.

    We need a new agency, empowered by Congress to regulate tech companies… the agency should create guidelines for acceptable speech on social media. This idea may seem un-American — we would never stand for a government agency censoring speech. But we already have limits on yelling “fire” in a crowded theater, child pornography, speech intended to provoke violence and false statements to manipulate stock prices. We will have to create similar standards that tech companies can use. These standards should of course be subject to the review of the courts, just as any other limits on speech are. But there is no constitutional right to harass others or live-stream violence.

    “Shouting fire in crowded theaters” hasn’t been a relevant legal standard before Chris Hughes was hatched in some Silicon Valley lab.

    On paper, the case for breaking up Google is much stronger than breaking up Facebook.

    Google’s dominance of search has locked down the internet. Combine that with its mobile power and growing strength in the assistants market gives it a virtual strangehold. Its future is far less fragile than that of Facebook which is extremely dependent on public whims. Hardly anyone under 40 even uses Facebook anymore.

    So why is the media aggressively pushing to sanction Facebook, not Google?

    As I discuss in an upcoming pamphlet, social media was meant to offer a user-driven experience. Instead of a top-down model where companies decided what you saw, social media is supposed to work by having the wisdom of the crowd determine your experience.

    In the South Yorkshire town of Rotherham (pop. ca. 100,000), so-called Islamic “grooming gangs” were responsible for the repeated rape of about 1400 non-Muslim girls, mostly from the working classes, from the late 1980s on. Although local politicians, child-protection officials, police, and journalists were aware of the problem, they kept silent about it for decades, partly out of cowardice, partly out of political expediency, partly out of a misguided fear of inciting “Islamophobia,” and partly out of a classist disregard for the victims and their families. As a result, the perpetrators did not begin to be identified, arrested, and prosecuted until earlier in this decade.

    There is nothing unique about Rotherham, of course: it just happens to be the place where the dam burst first. The list of British towns where similar gang activity has been uncovered is continues to grow longer, and the number of perpetrators and victims is increasing apace.

    Meanwhile, on July 7, 2005, Muslim suicide bombers killed 52 people and wounded about 700 in London. On May 22, 2013, two Muslims slaughtered a British soldier, Lee Rigby, in Woolwich. On March 22, 2017, on Westminster Bridge, a Muslim behind the wheel of a car mowed down about four dozen pedestrians, four of whom were killed. On May 22, 2017, a Muslim suicide bomber took 22 lives at Manchester Arena. On June 3 of the same year, three Muslims with a van killed eight people on and near London bridge.

    Kendrick Castillo left this world a hero – one week before his high school graduation.

    The 18-year-old lunged at one of two gunmen, a fellow student determined to kill. Castillo overpowered him but died in the process.

    A vigil honoring Kendrick last night dissolved into protest as students walked out and others chanted “political stunt” and “we are people, not a statement.”

    The demonstration occurred when Democrats used the memorial to advocate for gun control legislation.
