“Three underage Algerian migrants have been arrested in Spain after being implicated in the torture and murder of a man which was live-streamed on social media.
The three migrants were found by Spanish police in Valencia after being stopped on the metro without tickets. Since the arrest, French authorities have requested the trio be extradited to France, Lyon Capitale reports.
The three were previously wanted in connection with the brutal murder of 28-year-old Ahmed Kourak who was known to police in Lyon and was “known to have been sentenced on several occasions for aggravated theft and violence,” according to public prosecutor Nicolas Jacquet.
He had previously been sentenced to 18 months in prison for aggravated theft and was also sentenced to eight months in prison in 2016 for threatening a man with a knife.
His body was found in an apartment in the city’s Croix-Rousse area on Tuesday the 5th of March, having died of an estimated 60 stab wounds after being tied up and tortured.
The three attackers allegedly posted a live stream of the torture and murder on Facebook.
Following the murder, Lyon police specifically warned people not to share the video on social media saying, “Many of you are reporting a video of torture. An investigation was launched by the Lyon Judicial Police, and Pharos police officers are mobilised to have the video removed. DO NOT RELAY these shocking images!”
The incident echoes other crimes that have been live-streamed on social media by migrants including the rape of a young girl in Sweden in 2017 by a pair of asylum seekers, while a migrant with Swedish citizenship filmed the ordeal.

Turkish media reported the manifesto contained specific references to Turkey and ridding the famed Hagia Sophia in Istanbul of its minarets. Now a museum, the building was once a church before being turned into a mosque during the Ottoman empire.
“It is clear that the understanding represented by the killer that also targets our country, our people and myself, has started to take over Western societies like a cancer.”
The Turkish leader, who often criticises Islamophobic attitudes, called for the West to act to prevent similar attacks.
“If measures are not taken right away, news of other disasters will follow this one… I am calling on the world, in particular the West, to take quick measures,” he said.

In a statement shared by an Australian journalist on Twitter, the Queensland senator also wrote: “As always, leftwing politicians and the media will rush to claim that the causes of today’s shootings lie with gun laws or those who hold nationalist views, but this is all cliched nonsense.
“The real cause of bloodshed on New Zealand streets today is the immigration program which allowed Muslim fanatics to migrate to New Zealand in the first place.”
The remarks were denounced by the UK home secretary, Sajid Javid, who accused the senator of stoking extremism.
“At a time for grieving and reflection, this Australian senator … fans the flames of violence and extremism,” he tweeted.
“Australians will be utterly ashamed of this racist man. In no way does he represent our Australian friends.”
Australia’s prime minister, Scott Morrison, said: “The remarks by Senator Fraser Anning blaming the murderous attacks by a violent, rightwing, extremist terrorist in New Zealand on immigration are disgusting. Those views have no place in Australia, let alone the Australian parliament.”

The children of notorious Islamic State fighter Michael Skråmo are feared to have been orphaned and left alone in the caliphate.
In their first interview, Skråmo’s mother and sister have told ITV News they’re desperate for the safe return of the seven children who all under the age of ten.

After the release of emails from Bruce and Nellie Ohr in 2015-2016, which I wrote up last week, Jeff Carlson produced an excellent summary of Nellie Ohr’s October 2018 testimony to Congress at The Epoch Times this week. Carlson was able to review the testimony in person, as he has done with other still-unreleased testimony in recent weeks. He learned several intriguing things.
Carlson emphasizes that Nellie Ohr did, in fact, work as a contractor for CIA’s Open Source Works from 2008 to about 2014. I was not in doubt about that feature of her work history, and am not as convinced as some analysts are that it carries special import for Ohr’s role in the Fusion GPS/Steele dossier drama. That possibility should not be excluded, but the mere fact of working for Open Source Works would not be the deciding factor. Decisive factors would more likely be Ohr’s network of social and professional contacts, both in her own right and through her husband’s Justice Department career.

The Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu accused the EU of hypocrisy a day after the European Parliament suspended Turkey’s membership bid at joint presser with the EU’s Foreign Affairs Chief Federica Mogherini in Brussels on Friday.
The EU suspended the talks over Istanbul’s human rights record as well as the 18th of February convictions of journalists.

Mikael Högfors, group manager at National Forensic Centre, commented on the rise saying, “The availability of weapons in Sweden is relatively good. We see that due to the number of shootings. But we also make several efforts within the police authority when we have investigations underway, where we actually hunt down the weapons.”
Over the more than 300 shootings in Sweden in 2017, the most common firearm used was by far the Kalashnikov pattern rifle, according to Högfors.
“It is one of the world’s most manufactured weapons and has been used in many wars. When they are no longer needed they are smuggled into Sweden,” he said.
Many of the riffles, along with hand grenades and other weapons, are originally from the Balkan region. Last year, Bosnian prosecutor Goran Glamocanin claimed that Sweden had become one of the largest markets for such illegal weapons from the region.
“According to the information we have now, the Swedish market is the most attractive in Europe. It is because of the high demand,” he said.
While 2017 saw over 300 shootings, last year saw a record number of fatal shootings with around 45 individuals murdered with firearms.
Looking into the motivation for the high number of shootings, most of which are linked to the country’s gang-crime scene, the Swedish Crime Prevention Council (Brå) found that fatal shootings had become a status symbol among the gangs.
“Today, there is a need for greater violence to build their reputation. More violence is needed to achieve a certain effect,” said Brå investigator Erik Nilsson.”

Abu Dar, head of the Maute terror group, was reportedly killed in a clash with Philippine Army soldiers at Lanao del Sur on Thursday which left four troops dead. Troops battled more than 20 members of the ISIS-backed Maute group, said Colonel Romeo Brawner, 103rd Infantry Brigade Commander. Col Brawner said.”We have four body count.
“We believe that one of them is Abu Dar based on accounts of our informants. One of them was identified as Abu Dar but we are validating this from other sources.”
Philippine National Police’s Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) collected a DNA sample to confirm if it is Abu Dar’s body.
The process of identification could take up to a month.
Abu Dar is thought to be one of the Maute leaders recorded on video plotting a terrorist attack on Marawi City in May, 2017.
Terrorists stormed Marawi on May 23, 2017, sparking a five-month war that killed more than a thousand people.
Following the violence, almost 360,000 residents fled the city, which was left in ruins by the fighting.
Abu Dar fled before authorities crushed the terror group, killed hundreds of Islamists in bitter fighting.
Colonel Brawner of the 103rd Infantry Brigade told CNN Philippines the military had the body, which they believed to be Abu Dar’s.
Three other suspected Maute members were also killed in the hour-long firefight on Thursday…”

Dutch police arrested two men in Amsterdam for their suspected involvement in the co-ordinated Islamic State attacks on Paris in November 2015 that killed 130 people, prosecutors said on Friday.
A 29-year old and a 31-year old man were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of having helped deliver weapons to the men who carried out the attacks.
Several of the attackers might have traveled to the Netherlands in 2015 to collect weapons, the prosecutors said.
The 29-year old suspect will be held in restrictive custody for at least two weeks, while the other suspect had to be released for health reasons.
