“GUNMEN stormed and burnt down an Ebola health centre amid a gun battle with security forces in the Democratic Republic of Congo yesterday.
The armed assailants attacked the centre which is run by French charity Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo yesterday.
The identity and motive of the attackers are unknown but it comes two days after a mob set fire to another centre which resulted in the death of one man. According to the country’s health ministry, none of the 40 patients within the centre were hurt but four of the patients did flee during in what MSF termed as a “deplorable” attack on the centre in Butembo.
In a statement, MSF said: “This attack has not only put the lives of Ebola patients and their families in danger, but also those of MSF and Ministry of Health staff.
“Our efforts are currently focused on the immediate safety of both staff and patients.”
On Sunday, assailants set fire to a treatment centre in the city of Katwa in the Ebola-ravaged eastern region of the country.

Södertorn University, which has 13,000 full-time students and is tasked with providing basic training to the police, has been called a “stronghold of left-wing extremism” and “a place where numbskulls congregate”.

In his defence, Petterson stressed that his post was a joke and shouldn’t be taken at face value.
Regardless, some people cheered at his proposal, despite stressing that Syria “already had enough problems”.
Over the past weeks, Sweden has been engulfed in a passionate discussion on what to do with jihadists with Swedish citizenship currently stuck in the Middle East. While some, such as aforementioned Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson, stressed that the jihadists had “depleted their right to call themselves Swedes” and “have forfeited their citizenship”, many politicians and columnists urged Sweden to own up to its responsibility.
At the same time, many Swedish media ran personal stories of “remorseful” terrorists and troubled “Daesh brides” begging to be taken back.

“China’s defense ministry defended military cooperation with Tajikistan Thursday following a report of a sizeable Chinese troop presence at a base in the Central Asian state.

“This cooperation benefits the two countries, their two militaries and regional peace and stability,” Ren said.

China had apparently sought to keep its Tajikistan base manned by members of the paramilitary People’s Armed Police a secret. Brussels KNEW Operation Sophia migrant rescue scheme put LIVES AT RISK – shock leak (express, Feb 28, 2019)

“THE EUROPEAN Union knew its anti-migrant scheme put lives at risk, according to leaked documents written by top Brussels officials.
Under Operation Sophia, the bloc’s programme to patrol the Mediterranean Sea with dozens of ships, aircraft and submarines, EU officials pursued policies which forced people smugglers to use more dangerous methods of transporting migrants into Europe.
The scheme was launched in 2015 and has followed a number of different strategies to tackle the migrant crisis.
One such policy was a campaign to destroy wooden boats commandeered by Libyan smugglers to avoid them being reused.
However this forced traffickers to use cheaper, smaller rubber boats which were far less stable and increasingly overfilled to maximise profit, Politico has revealed.
The newer, more unsafe, dinghies were less likely to reach Europe and led to a spike in incidents of smugglers abandoning migrants in the middle of the sea.
The migrants were left to be picked up by EU rescue ships and international maritime law meant they were taken to the nearest safe port.
As European courts have ruled there are no safe ports in Libya, this meant any migrants picked up by Operation Sophia vessels were usually taken straight to Italy.
A 2016 status report highlighted how Operation Sophia officials knew about the increased risk to migrants because of their policy on wooden boats.
The paper stated: “Smugglers can no longer recover smuggling vessels on the high seas, effectively rendering them a less economic option for the smuggling business and thereby hampering it.”
The report admitted the EU’s policy resulted in migrants lives’ being put in more danger, saying passengers were at risk as soon as their boat left.
An EU official wrote: “Effectively, with the limited supply and the degree of overloading, the migrant vessels are distress cases from the moment they launch.”
A further EU policy attempted to exempt Operation Sophia vessels from being obliged to rescue stricken migrants.
In a further leaked status report, written in 2017, Operation Sophia officials complained that rescuing migrants detracted from the scheme’s primary objective of tackling Libyan smugglers.
The report asked for permission for Operation Sophia officials to be exempt from maritime rules which oblige ships to rescue anyone in peril at sea.
The officials stated that such a move would enable them to focus on its anti-smuggling targets.
The report read: “Consideration should be given to an option that would allow the operation to be authorised for being temporarily exempt from search and rescue when actively conducting anti-smuggling operations against jackals in international waters.””

An Alaska Airlines plane from Chicago to Seattle was forced to divert Wednesday night as passengers and crew struggled to breathe.
The Boeing 737-900, which had 114 people on board, landed in Minneapolis just after 7pm where 12 people were treated for breathing difficulties.

Migrants Commit the Most Violent Crimes in Norway’s Capital Amid Stabbing Wave (sputniknews, Feb 28, 2019)

“While accounting for 33 percent of Oslo’s population, immigrants account for nearly 70 percent of violent crimes in Norway’s capital, where victims are subject to serious bodily harm.
A survey by the Norwegian channel TV2 spanning from the beginning of 2018 until today has reviewed knife attacks, beatings and other instances of serious abuse, whose victims have suffered lifelong injuries, such as deep cuts and skull fractures.
According to TV2, over two-thirds or nearly 70 percent of the crimes were committed by immigrants, signalling a serious over-representation. According to Statistics Norway, immigrants make up about 33 percent of Oslo’s population.
The survey also found a rise in the use of knives by attackers in the capital. Oslo has recently seen a marked increase in knife-related incidents, TV2 reported.
Oslo Police Chief Hans Sverre Sjøvold voiced his concern over this development, stressing that the threshold for using a knife is very low, as is respect for police. Sjøvold admitted that immigrant youth struggling at school are over-represented and attributed this to “poverty and crampedness”, which makes it “tough to grow up”.
Violence researcher Ragnhild Bjørnebekk is not surprised at the extremely high figure. According to Bjørnebekk, one of the reasons for the over-representation is that the perpetrators come from cultures where violence is far more prevalent.
“They are more vulnerable, they have experienced more trauma. Some of them come from violent cultures, and they take it along with them. Also, there are those who are not Oslo residents, who just come from other countries and only stay here for a few months,” Bjørnebekk explained.
MP Himanshi Gulati of the right-wing Progress Party argued that the blame rests with the Oslo City Council and its Labour Mayor Raymond Johansen’s immigration policy.
“He must understand that the policy he leads is having consequences. If you want to maintain high immigration to Oslo, then it would be easier to handle the problems we are now seeing,” Gulati said.
Johansen admitted that Norway has challenges to accept, but rejected the notion that the flawed integration policy is to blame. Johansen urged his detractors to look at other statistics. “For instance, immigrant girls do well in higher education,” he noted.
Norway’s immigrant population exceeds 880,00 people, accounting for about 17 percent of the country’s total population (up from only 4.2 percent in 1992). Historically, migrants’ most common countries of origin were Sweden, Poland and Germany. In recent years, though, Somalia, Eritrea, Syria, Iraq and Pakistan have contributed the most.”

Many planes flying over India and Pakistan on their way to Europe, the Middle East and Asia were routed through Mumbai on India’s western coast, so they could head further south and avoid Pakistan air space, an Indian government official told Reuters.
The Pakistani regulator said in a tweet: “Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan has officially closed its airspace until further notice.”
Mark Martin, founder and chief executive at Martin Consulting India, said about 800 flights a day use the India-Pakistan air corridor, making it “very critical”.
The latest fighting was sparked after 40 Indian parliamentary police were killed in a suicide car bombing by Pakistan-based militants in Indian-controlled Kashmir on February 14.

Turkey is also on the side of Pakistan, as they were formerly both part of an alliance formed by the USA against the Soviet Union.
India has Russia on its side, as the pair have been close allies since its independence.
They are also one of the biggest partners in bilateral trade.
US President Donald Trump is also believed to be pro-India after he received a great of funding from Hindus during his campaign to be president in 2016.

Quebec’s Revenue Department is trying to seize the assets of a former SNC-Lavalin executive facing trial on fraud-related charges after estimating he owes the government more than $11 million in back taxes.

Gerald Butts, Trudeau’s former right-hand man, wants to talk SNC-Lavalin at justice committee
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s former principal secretary Gerald Butts is asking to speak before the House of Commons justice committee, a day after Jody Wilson-Raybould’s testimony.
In a letter posted on Twitter, Butts wrote to the committee’s chair, Liberal MP Anthony Housefather, saying he has evidence that is relevant to the SNC-Lavalin affair.

The wide-ranging report by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has found that China has spent nearly $200 million on educational entities known as Confucius Institutes. The institutes are shrouded in mystery and have been the cause of much consternation on Capitol Hill and elsewhere as information about their reach and power in the United States becomes clearer.
While the programs appear on their surface to be mundane—mainly focusing on language and cultural issues—the Senate committee found that these institutes constitute a threat to the United States. The Chinese government, the committee found, “is attempting to change the impression in the United States and around the world that China is an economic and security threat.”

While President Trump was away on a diplomatic mission to Hanoi to negotiate a nuclear deal with Kim Jong Un, the media breathlessly turned its eye to Capitol Hill to hear from a sleazy disbarred lawyer.
The dueling news stories summed up the country’s two political movements. Republicans were trying to dismantle weapons of mass destruction, while Democrats were deploying weapons of mass distraction.
In Vietnam, President Trump was dealing with serious problems. In Washington D.C., Democrats and their media arm can’t imagine any problem more serious than Trump. Forget North Korean nukes, the true threat to Democrats and the media isn’t radiation, it’s viewership. What keeps CNN’s, MSNBC’s, the New York Times’ and the Washington Post’s bosses up at night is fear that Mueller might not deliver.
And as the atomic report clock ticks down to zero, bringing Michael Cohen to Washington D.C. was a desperate effort to squeeze 15 more minutes out of their smear campaign by pretending to believe the same guy they had been calling a liar last year. Michael and the media are a perfect fit for each other.

Germany: Stabbings and Knife Crimes at Record High

Mourtala Madou, a 33-year-old illegal immigrant from Niger, has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing to death his 34-year-old German ex-girlfriend and decapitating their 21-month-old daughter at a subway station in Hamburg.
The grisly crime has drawn renewed attention to Germany’s spiraling epidemic of stabbings and knife violence, which has raged since Chancellor Angela Merkel allowed into the country more than a million mostly male migrants from Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
The double murder in Hamburg occurred the morning of April 12, 2018, one day after a family judge denied Madou (also known as Mado Bido M. or Mourtala M.) joint custody of his daughter. Madou followed the mother, Sandra P., and their toddler, Mariam, into the Jungfernstieg station in downtown Hamburg. In front of many passers-by, he opened his backpack, pulled out a knife and stabbed his stroller-bound daughter in the abdomen. He then slashed her neck and severed her head. Madou subsequently plunged the knife into Sandra P.’s back and cut through her vital organs. She died less than an hour later at a nearby hospital.

Were their bowels the only thing they didn’t evacuate?
The evacuation ships were, small fishing boats, yachts and occasionally a ferry boat. There wasn’t room for more then the men and their personal weapons, and on some boats the personal weapons were thrown overboard to lighten the boat so the waves weren’t filling it with water.
That evacuation by the British people showed the world how Britain ended up ruling half the world. The British Government ask for help to save the men and the Brits turned out to risk their lives and boats to do that, save the men. If Germany had possessed ships to carry their army across the channel Britain didn’t have enough firepower to stop them.
This is why I think the British people will revolt, they are the descendants of the people who when they were for all practical purposes disarmed stood up spit in HItler’s eye and dared him to do something. Has the left so weakened the British people that they are incapable of resisting tyrants?
