HORRIBLE – Short clip of what is left of his hand. He lost four fingers and you see a bloody skinless finger moving.
BTW, he didn’t pick up the grenade, he swiped at it to deflect it & that is when it exploded:

About the hand: The grenade (GLI-F4) was thrown randomly in the crowd by a gendarme. On a rebound, the man swiped at it to get it away from the people and that is when it exploded.
