  3. Austria: Retired postal worker sentenced as Islamist terrorist+++
    On Thursday, a retired postal worker was found guilty at the Vienna Regional Court for membership of a terrorist organisation and for incitement to hatred and re-activation under the Prohibition of Nazi Objectives Act. A jury court (chair: Nina Steindl) sentenced the 59-year-old man to two and a half years unconditional imprisonment. Defense attorney Christian Werner requested a time for reflection, the prosecutor did not make a statement for the time being. The man had been accused of advertising the terror network Al Qaeda and the radical Islamist militia Hayat Tahrir al Sham (HTS), the former Al Nusra Front, through his Internet presence and of calling for crimes in the fight against infidels. As he explained to the court, the accused had experienced a religious revival during a holiday in Turkey. A taxi driver brought him to a mosque: “I went in and had the feeling that I was at home. That was an arrival for me. I prayed for the first time”. Back in Vienna, the genuine Austrian called himself Erkan Said and visited several mosques. He had contacted “scholars of Islam”, sought conversation with imams and also “found faith” with the help of the Internet, the 59-year-old revealed. On 2nd of March 2018 he was in custody after writing a mail to Amer Albayati, the spokesman of the Initiative of Liberal Muslims Austria (ILMÖ), and after the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution had started investigations against him. The mail said, among other things, “Fear Allah, he will judge you” because the ILMÖ had spoken out against the headscarf commandment. Albayati saw this as a threat, which the defendant did not accept: “Our scholars have issued a dress code. Adult women are required to cover their hair,” the 59-year-old lectured. Violence was foreign to him, however, and he did not want to intimidate Albayati. The charges included the defendant’s Facebook account and the “Pro-Islam-Austria” website, which he had operated since 2015. Among other things, various terrorist attacks were approved there, Austria was described as a “Kuffar state” and dictatorship after the conviction of the radical Islamic hate preacher Mirsad O., and “eternal damnation” was wished for those of other faiths. “It doesn’t sound peaceful to me,” the presiding judge remarked. He had only adopted what scholars had written and placed on his homepage, the 59-year-old justified himself: “I wanted to convey my faith. I am quite a believer. And if a sheik writes that… I was a trusting man.” Also incriminated were publications that questioned the Holocaust or expressed the wish that the State of Israel “disappear from the map”, which is why the sedition paragraph and the Prohibition Act, which forbids National Socialist re-activation, also came into play in the proceedings. The retired postman had also maintained a Youtube channel, where he placed a bizarre video showing him with sunglasses, a Palestinian scarf wrapped around his head, and a peculiar style. In his speech to his few viewers – the video was viewed 17 times before the indictment – the accused spoke out against the falsification of the “holy books” in the manner of a preacher. “I tried to see if anyone liked it,” the man said after the video was played in the courtroom. Unfortunately, nobody would have been interested. “I never have a text planned, it comes in the heat of the moment,” he said about the incriminated texts.   6. Migrants defy Trump at Mexico border as US forces flex muscle

    Tijuana (Mexico) (AFP) – Hundreds of Central American migrants staged a boisterous demonstration on the US Mexico border Thursday, screaming for President Donald Trump to let them in as US soldiers and riot police put on a menacing show of force.

    The increased tension over the presence of a thousands-strong migrant caravan came as Trump marked Thanksgiving Day by threatening to close the border if he thinks Mexico has lost control of it.

    Vehicle and pedestrian traffic at the busy San Ysidro crossing came to a halt for 40 minutes as dozens of US police wearing helmets and holding rifles formed a line facing the Mexican side of the frontier. Separately, riot police rehearsed deployment movements. US Customs and Border Protection called all of this a “large-scale readiness exercise.”

      Around 500 people from the caravan of Central American migrants began blocking El Chaparral, the main vehicle crossing point from San Diego into Tijuana, on Thursday.

      Tired of waiting, the migrants decided to stage an indefinite sit-down at the entrance to the border bridge, thus hoping to exert pressure on US immigration authorities over their asylum application.

      A huge tailback of vehicles stretched into Tijuana, although the entry port still remains open to those on foot.

    Record numbers of men are reporting domestic abuse by their partners to police – as the proportion of women victims turning to police has fallen, official figures have revealed.

    The proportion of male victims who told police about their domestic abuse increased from 10.4% in 2014-15 to 14.7% this year as charities said more men were shaking off the stigma of talking about their suffering.

    However, the figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) showed it coincided with a sharp drop in the proportion of women victims reporting their abuse to police, down from 25.8% to 18.4% over the same period.

    But Chinese authorities are now facing an unlikely challenge spawned from their own efforts to indoctrinate the population with the ideology of the party: young Marxists.

    • There may be another cultural revolution brewing, if there is I doubt if Xi is the one in charge of the revolution. The students who were trying to form a Union in a factory should have know that the Communist Chinese Party owns the controlling interest in all major businesses and they aren’t about to let anyone cut into their profit margin. Marxism always ends up with a few people on top wealthy and the rest of the people dirt poor China and Nam are trying a different approach but even though they have increased the size of the Upper Class (rich) they are keeping the Middle Class and Lower Class in chains.

      What is gong on is why the first thing any successful liberal revolution does is kill the revolutionaries who brought down the old Government. Trying to govern by strict Marxist rules is a recipe for disaster, and a disaster that will form fastern the Cuba’s or Venesuela’s. It is only Conservative revolutions (fighting to restore rights) that can let the Revolutionaries live after the revolution succeeds.

    Justin Trudeau Gives $595 Million Tax Relief to ‘Eligible’ Media

    Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government will extend $595 million in tax relief over a five-year period to news media outlets it defines as “eligible,” according to the Toronto Star.

    The tax relief will include tax breaks for consumers who purchase subscriptions from news media outlets, refundable tax credits for news media outlets’ operational costs, and the extension of charitable status to non-profit news media organizations; registered charities with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) can issue charitable receipts to donors and benefactors for donations.

    Eligibility will be determined by the government and government-established panels. Details regarding such determinations were not provided.

    • How long will it be before the Canadian Government is issuing Journalism Licenses to the “Trusted Media” and the rest of the media will be shut down because they don’t have a license. This will include anyone who takes a video or pictures of something happening and either posts it on the net although selling it to a member of the “Trusted Media” will probably be allowed.

      Everyone working for the Rebel Media or as an independent Journalist (Faith Goldy, Lauren Southern etc) will be put out of business if they don’t find refuge in another nation that will allow them to continue in their chosen profession.

        What you’re seeing is the stealth installation of a system that is nearly identical to Communist China’s “Social Credit” scoring policy. Justine is just doing a slow and gradual ramp-up starting with the media.

  12. The popular vacation accommodation website Airbnb has banned Israeli Jews who live in Judea and Samaria, also known as the West Bank, from listing their homes for rent.

    Airbnb said in a statement it “concluded that we should remove listings in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank that are at the core of the dispute between Israelis and Palestinians.”

    Michael Oren, a former Israeli ambassador to the United States, called Airbnb’s policy anti-Semitic.

    “Airbnb blacklists Jewish apartments in Judea and Samaria – not Palestinian apartments, not apartments in Turkish occupied Cyprus, in Moroccan occupied Sahara, not in Tibet or the Crimea,” Oren tweeted.

    “Airbnb’s policy is the very definition of anti-Semitism. No one should use its services.”

    New York Post columnist David Harsanyi was in agreement, writing that Airbnb “has singled out Jews, and only Jews, as the one group in the world that is worthy of such censure.”

    Three children and 28 mourners are believed to be among the 31 victims, according to local Geo TV. The network says that another 33 people were injured in the suicide blast on Friday after the attacker went to the market on a motorcycle.

    Meanwhile, AFP citing local officials gives a different account, saying that the improvised explosive device was hidden in a carton of vegetables. The agency also put the death toll at 31 and said that 50 more people were injured, with 17 in critical condition.

    The carnage came just hours after another brazen attack, this time in the major city of Karachi, where suicide bombers stormed the Chinese Consulate. The Balochistan Liberation Army insurgent group claimed it staged the assault that left two police officers dead and a security guard injured.”

It took a couple of months for the police to realise that the man was accused in two cases, and to reinvestigate.

    The police chief told the tribunal that during the interrogation of the accused man, he had to make a cop sit between the latter and the woman translator because “he was trying to grope her thighs”. He says that “he considers French women as whores and has a predatory behaviour.” Cops also admitted that they messed up during the first inquiries.

  29. Ebola in Congo now infecting newborn babies, UN says

    LONDON (AP) — The World Health Organization says a worrying number of the newest Ebola cases amid Congo’s ongoing outbreak are in patients not usually known to catch the disease: babies.

    In an update published this week, the U.N. health agency reported 36 new confirmed cases of Ebola, including seven in newborn babies and infants younger than 2 years old. Six cases were reported in children aged between 2 and 17 and one case was in a pregnant woman.

    While Ebola typically infects adults, as they are most likely to be exposed to the lethal virus, children have been known in some instances to catch the disease when they act as caregivers.

    Few cases of Ebola in babies have been reported, but experts suspect transmission might happen via breast milk or close contact with infected parents. Ebola is typically spread by infected bodily fluids. WHO noted that health centers have been identified as a source of Ebola transmission, with injections of medications “a notable cause.”

    WHO called Congo’s current epidemic “complex and challenging.” Congo’s health ministry says there are 346 confirmed cases, including 175 deaths, in what has become the worst Ebola outbreak in the country’s recorded history.

  30. (BEIJING) — The suspect in a car crash that killed five children wanted to kill himself and deliberately targeted a crowd walking outside a primary school in northeastern China, officials said Friday, in what appeared to be the latest in a pattern of vehicle attacks.

    The 29-year-old driver is an introvert and wanted to kill himself because he was having a row with his wife, according to a Jianchang county statement that an official read over the phone to the AP. The suspect was identified only by his surname, Han.

    Security camera footage of Thursday’s attack showed a vehicle swerving into children who had almost finished crossing a street in front of their school before driving off. In addition to the dead, 19 people were injured, three of them seriously, the Jianchang statement said. Most of the victims were between 5 and 7 years old.

  33. Swedish independent journalist Joakim Lamotte has talked to a mother whose 11-year-old daughter was raped by two men.

    The girl was forced to both anal and oral sex. The young men were arrested, but released shortly after. Several times the daughter has met the boys when she walks to school. They laughed in her face.

    The mother has just been informed that the investigation has been closed, and that her daughter will not be redressed.

    Her daughter’s life has been destroyed, she says, and the only resort they see is to move to another town. She is strongly critical of how the police have handled the case.

    At the same time, the political development in Sweden is worrying to say the least. While children are raped and the police fail to solve the cases, politicians in Stockholm cannot even form a government. The situation is acute and instead of talking to each other, the party leaders act like kindergarteners.

    The post was rebuked by a hotel owner nearby who said, “But what is there to celebrate? Tell me what to celebrate,” and added he had seen a “30 per cent decline in customers. I’ve read reviews on the sites. They write that it is like the Bronx here.”

    The area, also known as “Moi” locally, is also a “den” of illegal activity according to local left-wing Democratic Party politician Davide Ricca.

    Turin is not the only Italian city with migrant squatter areas. In Rome, the area of San Lorenzo made headlines following the alleged murder of a 16-year-old girl named Desirée Mariottini by several migrant men who allegedly drugged her and raped her before she died of an overdose.

    KARACHI (Reuters) – Three suicide attackers stormed the Chinese consulate in the Pakistani city of Karachi amid a series of gunshots and an explosion on Friday, but were killed before they could force their way in with a car packed with explosives, police said.

    The attack, claimed by separatist insurgents from the impoverished southwestern Pakistani province of Baluchistan, killed four people, including two police, but it was far from the most deadly on a particularly violent day across the region.

    A suicide attacker on a motorbike set off explosives in a crowded festival and market in northwest Pakistan’s Orakzai region, killing at least 25 people at around the same time as the Karachi bloodshed.

    Over the border in eastern Afghanistan, a suicide blast at a mosque on an army base killed at least 26 people and wounded 50, security officials said. Earlier in the week, a suicide bomber killed 55 people in the capital, Kabul.

    The blood-letting comes as faint hopes for peace in Afghanistan have been stirred by two meetings between U.S. special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad and the Taliban in Qatar.

    The likes of news pundits Jason Farrell, Kay Burley and Piers Morgan saw the biggest fall in the past year, with trust declining FIVE percentage points from 67% in 2017 to 62% now.

    The Ipsos Mori report says trust in TV news hosts “to tell the truth” has fallen by five per cent. Journalists also are revealed to be among the five least-trusted professions, coming above only ad executives, politicians and government ministers.

    They have dropped by one per cent over the past year and are now trusted by 26 per cent of people to tell the truth, the survey found.

    The top five most trusted professions, in descending order, were nurses, doctors, teachers, engineers and professors.

    Mohamed Nasheed, a former president now serving as advisor to new President Mohamed Ibrahim Solih, said that the Chinese ambassador to the Maldives, Zhang Lizhong, handed the government an invoice for $3.2 billion – equivalent to around $8,000 for every inhabitant of the archipelago. China denies that, however, and says the number is closer to $1.5 billion.

    “It was an invoice. It just had a figure, $3.2 billion. It was shocking,” said Nasheed. “It wasn’t just a conversation, it was a written note handed over, it was clear, you owe us this much.”

    Nasheed said Zhang gave Solih the note at a meeting on Oct. 6, days after his stunning election victory over former President Abdulla Yameen. He did not give further details of exactly how the note was worded.

  39. North Korea exploded 10 of its own military guard posts on the demilitarized zone (DMZ) bordering South Korea as part of the peace process between the two countries. The two Koreas are also being reconnected by a road across the border for the first time in 14 years.

    The South Korean Defense Ministry announced the demolition on social media and released accompanying photos and footage.

    The two Koreas began destroying 22 posts along their heavily-fortified frontier under a plan to reduce tensions on the border. There are a total of 220 guard posts along the DMZ—160 of which are operated by North Korea, and 60 which are operated by South Korea. Both Koreas later agreed to preserve one post on each side, out of the 22 posts, for historic value.

    Richard: Read the entire article. She does a real good job of discussing the planned mass rush at the border trying to overwhelm the Border Patrol letting a thousand or more illegals into the US. The mass rush is being planned by the political organizers of the Caravan and will (if it occurs) be composed of illegals seeking economic refuge in front with the people just behind the leaders being the criminals and probable terrorists using the Caravan as cover. This mass rush tactic worked in Europe but in the US the situation is different in several ways, first the border is controlled by one nation and the border guards aren’t split in different commands. Second we have seen what happened in Europe and have had time to plan how to stop the mass surge and prevent the illegals from entering the US.

    She also goes into great detail on why the Caravan is limited on where they can go and try to rush the border. The drug cartels control most of the territory along the border and don’t want the caravan defying their control by not paying them thousands of dollars for each illegal. As well as not wanting the increased surveillance that the caravan would bring.

    As she points out the preferred method of handling this problem is deterrence but the Propaganda Media is working with the left (as usual) and may convience the illegals that the US Forces won’t respond with lethal force.   45. Islamic militants in Nigeria may have killed as many as 100 soldiers in an attack on a military base, according to media reports and security officials.

    The reported death toll is among the highest since President Muhammadu Buhari came to power in 2015 and comes as the country prepares for elections in three months.

    The worst losses came when militants overran a military base in the village of Metele in the north-eastern state of Borno on Sunday.

    The Students for Life chapter at Miami University installed a “cemetery of innocents” display on campus on Nov. 12. Each of the crosses displayed represented 10 babies killed each day by abortion, according to the group’s Facebook page.

    With new research showing that more babies are born in Canada to foreign residents than Statistics Canada realized, the federal government is studying the issue of “birth tourism” in the hope of better understanding how many women travel to Canada to have babies who are born Canadian citizens.

    Using numbers from the Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI), which captures billing information directly from hospitals, researcher Andrew Griffith found over 3,200 babies were born here to women who weren’t Canadian residents in 2016 — compared with the 313 babies recorded by Statistics Canada.

    The finding suggests not only that the numbers are higher than previously reported, but that it’s a growing trend, Griffith says.
