  1. Less Than Third of Austrians Oppose Government Move to Opt Out of UN Migrant Pact (breitbart, Nov 13, 2018)

“A new survey has revealed that half of Austrians support the conservative-populist government’s move to opt out of the United Nations migration pact with only 29 per cent saying the move did not make sense.

Just under one-third of the respondents of the 500 person survey, 31 per cent, said they agreed “very much” with the decision to get out of the pact and another 18 said they were “more likely to agree” with the move while 13 per cent said they had no opinion, and another nine claimed not to know what the pact even was, Kronen Zeitung reports.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz, head of the Austrian People’s Party (ÖVP) along with his coalition partner Vice Chancellor and Freedom Party (FPÖ) leader Heinz-Christian Strache, said that they disagreed with 17 out of the 23 goals set by the pact such as making it easier for asylum seekers and migrants to access the labour markets and welfare systems in countries supporting the pact.

Vice Chancellor Strache defended the move to pull out of the pact earlier this month saying, “We are only responsible to our Austrian population as government officials. Austrian sovereignty has top priority for us, this must be preserved and protected.”

“In the government’s programme, we have promised to stop illegal migration, to protect citizens’ safety, and to protect the borders,” he added.

The rejection of the pact by Austria has also sparked debate within the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) headed by German Chancellor Angela Merkel on whether Germany should also consider pulling out of the pact.

Conservative Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn has been one of the most vocal critics of the pact, as well as the past mass migration policies of Dr Merkel.

“The debate on the migration pact is still pending in the parliamentary group,” Spahn said and added, “It is important that Germany retains its sovereignty to control and limit migration.”

Spahn recently announced his candidacy to replace Merkel as CDU leader at an upcoming conference in December following the Chancellor’s announcement that she would be stepping down as party leader.”

  2. US-Led Coalition Transfers Daesh Terrorists From Syria’s Hasakah – Reports (sputniknews, Nov 13, 2018)

“According to SANA’s earlier reports, over 60 civilians were killed or injured in an airstrike carried out by the US-led coalition on the town of al-Sha’afa in eastern Deir ez-Zor.

The US-led coalition evacuated the other day a number of Daesh* terrorists by helicopter from the province of Hasakah to some unknown location, SANA reported.

“On November 10, the helicopters of the international coalition led by the US evacuated supposedly three militants out of As-Suwayda village in the north-eastern part of Hasakah province and headed in an unknown direction,” the agency cited its sources as saying.

The coalition hasn’t yet commented on the reports…”

This same exact thing happens in the US. Our US, federal gov’t settles “migrants” in communities without our say so and pays for them for SIX MONTHS! (Just long enough to get em on the gravy train…)
After that, the cost switches to the state and local community.
The fiscal, cultural and social impact be damned. “We are a caring nation” (on your dime…)

  4. Maxine Waters’s Daughter Will Pocket More Than $200K For Campaign Operation
Karen Waters paid $108K for slate mailers during midterms, owed another $94K

The daughter of Rep. Maxine Waters (D., Calif.) will collect more than $200,000 from her mother’s campaign after its debts are paid off for leading a lucrative slate mailer operation, Federal Election Commission filings show.

Karen Waters has pulled in hefty payments from the campaign to run a slate mailer operation after the FEC issued an advisory opinion in October 2004 allowing Waters to run the operation from the Citizens for Waters, her mother’s campaign committee. Prior to 2006, Karen ran the arrangement through LA Vote, a state committee in California.

Karen is in charge of slate mailers, or endorsement mailers, in which candidates pay Rep. Waters’s campaign to appear on mailers that are sent to more than 200,000 residents in the South Central Los Angeles area, where Waters holds a good amount of clout. The mailers contain a sample ballot and quotes of support from Waters.

  5. Kat Timpf Forced To Flee Bar After People Learn She Works For Fox News

Tucker Carlson isn’t the only Fox News personality experiencing harassment over his affiliations. Fox News contributor Kat Timpf, a regular on “The Greg Gutfeld Show,” says she recently felt compelled to leave a bar after a woman became “belligerent” upon learning that she worked for the one right-leaning mainstream news channel.

“I was just ran out of an establishment because of where I work. Chewed out, abused. But I guess that’s the norm now,” Timpf tweeted Friday night.

      • Yucki, Babs actions like this turn a lot of people away from the Dems, they may not, probably won’t talk about their turning against the Dems openly but in the privacy of the voting booth they will vote against the people that are harassing people because of their political beliefs or because of where they work.

The Dems are also going to try and put the failed New York City and California gun control laws into the Federal Code, this will upset a lot of people and while the NRA only has about 5 million members there are between 75 million and 100 million gun owners. That is a lot of people who will be very upset to think the Government is going to try and take their guns.

        • It’s the fraud, not the voters.

If the President had put 5% of the effort he poured into the rallies into protecting the polling places, we would’ve had a different outcome.

Things can still go well, but not AS well. He’s got to address some problems directly that he’s chosen to avoid. Certainly no slam-dunk for 2020.

A Deplorable base that behaves like a cult doesn’t provide healthy feedback. In the past there’d be at least some legacy media vehicles for rational analysis, course correction. That’s all gone.

Social media is still too new, its flaws stunt our critical thinking. We get theme-packages and echo-chambers. Some of them originate from PR professionals who over-sell the product. _Lie_

Wrong moves or poor decisions aren’t called out constructively. It’s “3-D chess” or “trolling” or “trust the plan”. We’re fighting the world, so we become overly defensive. No room for deviation.

And that does play into Our Donald’s personality, so he encourages it. He’s entitled – he works hard enough!! – but he needs better feedback, better advisors.

    • Things aren’t going to get better, the Dems don’t want to stop their demonetization of everyone that opposes them, when you watch the Dem talking heads on FOX you see them try and shift the blame for the violent actions to the right rather then admit that their supporters are doing any thing wrong. we are going to see the number of attacks increase and the violence of the attacks raise to new levels. This will continue until people are killed and even then the left will say it was the fault of the victims rather then the attackers.

      • I’d like to see some heavy-handed law enforcement. Rules for press conferences that are enforced. A lot less tolerance for all sorts of mischief. Arrests and prosecution.

It will only get out of control if it’s not stopped.
If the President can’t stop the worst of it, he’s not doing his job.

  6. JIHAD WATCH – Spain: 14 Muslim migrants sexually abuse girl and knife her boyfriend, establishment media silent

“14 Moroccans sexually abuse girl and knife her boyfriend in Spain – Mainstream media silent,” by Ben Perchiron, Voice of Europe, November 13, 2018:
The youths followed the couple out of the train compartment and inserted themselves inside an elevator in the train station with them and proceeded to knife the young man as he defended his girlfriend, and violently sexually attack the young lady.

The group were arrested by the local police of Santa Coloma de Gramenet this past Sunday, November 11th, in the house they were squatting in.

As they were diagnosed with scabies, an infectious skin disease, the police have had to disinfect the vehicles in which they were transported and the police station itself.

Two of the 14 Moroccan youths captured were minors, and several of those involved had already been arrested a couple of times in recent days by local police for various violent robberies. The wounded young man, who had come out in defense of his girlfriend, is out of danger….

There is virtually no mention of this immigrant crime in the mainstream media, and when there is, it is usually to ask for compassion and leniency for the sexual attackers.

There was none of that when another “manada”, this one composed of five Spanish men, were exposed two years ago. Then the Media spent weeks and weeks denouncing them as monsters.

  7. Crooks and Communists Fight to Lead House Democratic Caucus
This is the new Democrat House.
    November 13, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

The chair of the Democratic Caucus is one of those influential positions that nobody thinks twice about.

In 2016, Rep. Linda Sanchez got to be the vice-chair of the Democratic Caucus and her appointment was touted as an identity politics first. To get the job, Rep. Sanchez had to beat out Rep. Barbara Lee, an admirer of murderous Communist dictator Fidel Castro. And Sanchez only beat out Lee by two votes.

Together with sister, Loretta Sanchez, who had warned, “the Vietnamese and the Republicans are… trying to take this seat”, the Sanchez sisters were also the only disgraceful sister duo in the House.

Rep. Sanchez had set her sights on serving as the chair of the Democratic Caucus, a position formerly held by luminaries like Senator Bob Menendez, Rep. John Larson, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, and Dan Rostenkowski, sent to prison for mail fraud. But then her husband was indicted on corruption charges.

Sanchez announced that she was dropping out of the contest to due to “an unexpected family matter.”

”Earlier today I learned that my husband is facing charges in Connecticut,” Sanchez stated. “After careful consideration of the time and energy being in leadership demands, I have decided that my focus now needs to be on my son, my family, and my constituents in California.”

James Sullivan, Sanchez’s husband, who served as the chair of the Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Corporation, along with others is accused of misusing $800K from CMEEC on trips to the Kentucky Derby and luxury golf resorts, chartered planes and high end hotels.

  8. Return of the Taliban Five
Another legacy item for the ex-Radical-in-Chief.
    November 13, 2018
    Lloyd Billingsley

In the run-up to the November election, five Taliban commanders freed from Guantanamo in exchange for Bowe Bergdahl rejoined the Taliban’s political office in Qatar. That development calls for a look at the back story.

“One big concern is that the U.S. will be releasing five Taliban commanders in exchange for Bergdahl,” the Washington Post explained in 2014. “So who are these men? And what might they do when released?” The Post weighed in on both counts.

Khirullah Said Wali Khairkhw helped to create the Taliban movement in 1994 and once served as its interior minister. According to his Guantanamo case file, he was known to have close ties to Osama Bin Laden of al Qaeda, prime mover of the 9/11 attacks.

Mullah Mohammad Fazl had served as a senior commander in the Taliban army during the 1990s, rising to chief of staff. He likely supervised the killing of thousands of Shiite Muslims near Kabul and was present during a prison riot that claimed CIA operative Johnny Spann. According to his file, if released Fazl would likely rejoin the Taliban and resume hostilities against the United States and coalition forces.

Mullah Norullah Noori was one of the Taliban’s provincial governors and rumored to be a player in the massacre of Shiites. According to his file, he is a significant figure who encourages acts of aggression.

  9. Saying ‘Only Hitler is Hitler’ is Offensive to Facebook
Of all the reasons Facebook could have banned me.
    November 13, 2018
    Bosch Fawstin

Out of all the reasons Facebook could have banned me –my criticism of Islam, leftists, Washington D.C., politicians in general, for my Mohammad cartoons, my Pigman comic book, etc.,—Facebook just banned me for 30 days (they used the term “ban” instead of “suspend” this time) for posting my cartoon of Hitler crying “I’m Hitler! Only Me!”, and I added the words to my post, “Hitler is Hitler”. My point being that Hitler was a particularly evil historical figure, and that to call everyone you disagree with Hitler diminishes his evil, and diminishes the horrors he committed, which is incredibly callous towards his victims. I’m used to social media unfairly suspending me and banning me. Twitterstan banned me for good after I criticized Marvel’s Islamic propaganda comic book, Ms. Marvel. We’re in the middle of a global jihad, but you’d never know it if you read the comic book, as the only Muslims in it are heroes or victims. After Pakistan blocked me on Instagramistan, my account is dead. I’m tired of social(ist) media companies focusing on punishing their ideological opponents, while allowing leftists and Muslims to get away with murder.

  10. Presidential Proclamation Addresses Massive Illegal ‘Migrant’ Caravan
    A dire national security threat.
    November 13, 2018
    Michael Cutler

The United States is about to be inundated with thousands of foreign nationals heading up through Latin America to the U.S./Mexico border. The media, nearly unanimously, have described them all as “migrants” purportedly fleeing poverty and violence in their home countries in Central America. The President, however, has stated that among them are criminals and individuals from other than Latin America.

President Trump is determined to discourage as many of these individuals from entering the United States illegally as a matter of national security.

As I have noted in previous articles about this “Caravan of Migrants,” talk show hosts and others have blatantly accused the President of being a liar who does not care about poor migrants. Of course, they are blithely ignoring that the President has access to intelligence that is not made available to anyone else.

They have also failed to make any effort to do a bit of research, to determine if perhaps there is evidence that is available in the public domain that would support Trump’s assertions.

My article “Trump Connects The Dots On Dangers Of Illegal Immigration” contains compelling evidence about the potential for Iranian involvement in large-scale human trafficking and hence the potential that they and other adversaries of the United States would be eager to inundate the United States with huge numbers of aliens that would overwhelm the already beleaguered immigration system.

  11. Mullah Terror in Europe
Why Europe should heed Trump’s counsel.
    November 13, 2018
    Joseph Puder

The Trump administration has been urging its European allies to adopt a tougher stance on Iran, emphasizing in particular the Islamic Republic’s terrorism on European soil. To corroborate the administration’s point, on October 30, 2018, the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET) announced that a Norwegian nationalized citizen of Iranian decent was arrested on suspicion of attempting the assassination of Iranian Arab separatists.

Lest we forget, the Iranian regime has masterminded and carried out the destruction of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina’s capital, on March 17, 1992, as well as the Jewish Community Center called Asociacion Mutual Israelita Argentina (AMIA) on July 18, 1994, in the same city. The embassy bombing took the lives of 29 people and injured 250, including Israeli diplomats, children and clergy from a nearby church. The AMIA bombing killed 87 people and over 100 were injured. In 1998, an intercepted call from the Iranian embassy in Buenos Aires proved conclusively that Iran was involved in the bombing. In 2006, Argentinian prosecutor Alberto Nisman accused top Iranian officials of orchestrating the bombings in Argentina’s capital. Nisman, an Argentinian Jew, was murdered on January 15, 2015. It is more than likely that the Iranian regime had a hand in it.

While Iranian terror is worldwide, Tehran’s operations in Europe at a time when the Ayatollah regime seeks European help in thwarting U.S. sanctions is most revealing. Weakened by internal dissent, it has resorted to assassinations which reveals the murderous nature of the regime. The target this time for the Iranian regime was the exiled leader of the Arab Struggle Movement for the Liberation of Ahvaz (ASMLA). According to Israeli media reports, the Mossad (Israel’s Intelligence agency) provided information to Denmark’s PET on the plot that helped prevent the assassination attempt.

    • Lebanese Journalist: France Boosts Political And Intelligence Ties With Hizbullah – In Order To Profit From Lebanese Oil

  12. Forget the Sweet Talk–Both Parties Will Go to the Mat
The war is on for 2020.
    November 13, 2018
    Charles Lipson

“We have two years to show we can make things work,” Republican Mike Braun told Indiana voters in his Senate victory speech. He is wildly optimistic. Both parties are already on war footing, and, barring divine intervention, they will remain that way until 2020.

Their only bipartisanship is a shared commitment to push hard positions favored by their activist bases and enraged donors. President Trump’s unprecedented fight with the legacy media deepens the division. He attacks with ferocity; they take the bait, fill the airwaves with unremitting criticism, and crush underfoot the wall between hard-news reporting and opinion.
Calls for compromise ring hollow from the politicians who make them. In the same speech, they often issue a call-to-arms, as Nancy Pelosi did in claiming victory. The House’s minority leader, who is expected to take the speaker’s gavel in January, spoke softly and urged bipartisan legislation — but quickly added that she and fellow Democrats would stand their ground on all major issues. Trump did the same, even as he spoke about possible deals on taxes, infrastructure and immigration. If he seriously pursues those deals, he risks alienating the very voters who carried him to victory.

On cue, the Democrats who expect to head major House committees announced they will begin subpoenaing the Trump White House as soon as they take over. They say the president is using his office to enrich himself, so obviously they need to see all his financial records. Adam Schiff, who will head the House Judiciary Committee, says he wants to continue the “Russia collusion” investigation. Apparently, Robert Mueller’s small army of investigators, working for two years with grand jury powers, is not enough for Schiff. Meanwhile, several senior House Democrats have already called for impeachment. They will phone in their reasons later.

  13. Baobab migrant camp in Rome cleared

No more no-fly zones without law and order says Salvini

Rome, November 13 – A camp run by volunteers providing food and shelter to migrants near to Rome’s Tiburtina railway station was cleared by police on Tuesday.

Around 200 migrants were in the Baobab Experience camp before the eviction, sources said. “Now hundreds of people will end up on the street,” said Baobab Experience Coordinator Andrea Costa.

“We hope that the city council takes action”.

Costa said it was the 22nd such eviction over the last three years.

“We have received almost 80,000 migrants in transit over the last few years,” he said.

Interior Minister and Deputy Premier Matteo Salvini welcomed Tuesday’s operation.

“No-fly zones without law and order where the State is absent are no longer tolerated,” said the League party leader.

“We promised this and we are doing what we promised.

“And it doesn’t finish here. We’re going from words to deeds”.

Italy evicts migrants from Rome camp

ROME: Italian police on Tuesday (Nov 13) bulldozed a symbolic makeshift camp in Rome which has housed tens of thousands of migrants during their journeys to northern Italy and the rest of Europe.

“Stateless, lawless no-man’s lands will no longer be tolerated,” Interior Minister Matteo Salvini, head of the far-right League, said as diggers rumbled through the camp, run by the Baobab Experience association.

Men could be seen wheeling away their belongings in shopping trolleys, while youngsters hugged tearfully as tents were dismantled around them, according to an AFP photographer.

A cut out photo of Salvini’s head glared from the side of a rolled up mattress as a crane swept up discarded belongings in the abandoned parking lot near Rome’s two main train stations.

Around 100 migrants had been living there after leaving – voluntarily or otherwise – Italy’s reception system.

In 2015, when the borders were still open, some 35,000 migrants transited through Baobab on their way to the rest of Europe. The camp had been located in an old factory at the time.

The association was behind a protest last week against Salvini’s “inhumane, dangerous and unacceptable” security decree, which the UN’s human rights body has said conflicts with international laws on refugees and human rights.

“It’s already the 22nd time that the camp has been cleared, but I think this time it has been shut down for good,” Baobab coordinator Andrea Costa said.

    • I agree with him but before the Nationalists take over everywhere things are going to turn violent, look at how the Globalists in Europe are putting hate speech laws in place that are designed to stop all Nationalist speech. Here in the US the right has hit a speed bump called the 2018 midterms, I say a speed bump because the left will over play their hands and will force people into our camp because they can’t stand what the left is doing.

An independent audit of the key temperature dataset that is being used by climate models has exposed more than 70 problems with the data which render it “unfit for global studies.”

Problems include zero degree temperatures in the Caribbean, 82 degree C temperatures in Colombia and ship-based recordings taken 100km inland.

  15. Europe opting for submission to Islam
    By Alex Alexiev
Two seemingly unrelated events in Europe over the past 20 days point to what cannot be described other than as the slow suicide of European civilization. On November 9, Chancellor Merkel gave a speech in Berlin commemorating the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht (lately renamed Pogromnacht). This 1938 event, which led to the willful destruction of 1400 synagogues, thousands of Jewish stores and the deportation of more than 30,000 Jews to the concentration camps, is widely considered the beginning of the Holocaust. For those familiar with Nazi history, though, the writing had been on the wall long before that.

What Hitler had in mind for the Jews is described in detail in his Mein Kampf and put in practice at the latest by the Nuremberg Laws of September 1935, which excluded Jews from German society, prohibited them from holding public office and marrying Germans and made them, in effect, stateless outcasts in their own country. As if to make sure that modern Holocaust doubters and anti-Semites, like labor leader Jeremy Corbin of the UK, have no place to hide, Hitler explained in detail his plans to annihilate the Jews to his military commanders in his Obersalzberg speech of August 22, 1939. “Who, after all,” said he, “speaks today of the annihilation of the Armenians.”

The Women’s Initiative refused to provide comment about Board of Directors member Juan Manuel Granados who allegedly attacked Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s daughter with vulgar language in a country club in October.

The women’s group refused to respond to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s multiple phone and email requests for comment, electing to remain silent following the allegations that Granados called Carlson‘s 19-year-old daughter a “whore” and a “f**king c**t” at the Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia.

“Sorry, we don’t speak to reporters,” said a Women’s Initiative employee who answered TheDCNF’s first phone call requesting comment about its position regarding Granados and the alleged incident. Elizabeth answered the phone next, saying only, “We’re not offering comment.” She then hung up on TheDCNF.

  17. Heatwaves can damage the sperm of insects and make them almost sterile, according to new research.

Scientists exposed beetles to experimental heatwaves in the laboratory, which resulted in reduced male fertility.

The effects could be passed down to the beetles’ offspring.

Further work could shed light on whether climate change is a factor behind mass declines in insect populations, say researchers.

Climate change is affecting biodiversity around the world, but the drivers remain poorly understood.

“We don’t know whether this explains the widely-recognised collapse in insect biodiversity and abundance, but limits on your ability to reproduce certainly isn’t going to help,” Prof Matt Gage of the University of East Anglia, which led the study, told BBC News.

  18. CNN and reporter Jim Acosta filed a lawsuit on Tuesday, claiming that the White House violated his constitutional rights by suspending his press access following an incident where Acosta would not relinquish the microphone during a press conference. The White House’s characterization of the events of last Wednesday have been ripped apart as an exaggeration complete with altered video footage, but the account put forth in CNN’s complaint is even more detached from reality.

Let’s break this down as it happened. And for the record, I’m going by video of the incident that CNN themselves broadcast.

First, Trump called on Acosta. That much, CNN agrees with, but that seems to be about it. From the complaint:

      • Acosta. Acoster. Acost-her.
Pronouncing a final “a” as “r” is actually a Boston-accent. If you remember any of the Kennedys, that’s the way it would sound: Acoster.

  19. A few days ago, the BBC reported on a “remarkable decline in fertility rates,” with researchers finding that “fertility rate falls mean nearly half of the countries [are] now facing a ‘baby bust’—meaning there are insufficient children to maintain their population size.” Hilariously, the researchers said that these findings were a “huge surprise” despite decades of evidence and warning signs, and they warned that this would soon result in “profound consequences for societies” with “more grandparents than grandchildren.”

Despite the fact that no babies (or very few babies) poses a civilizational threat—this should be obvious—the researchers interspersed their dire warnings with a cheery upside: Because this low birthrate indicates “greater access to contraception” and more people opting for a life in the workforce over parenting, in “many ways, falling fertility rates are a success story.” Not for Western countries overall, of course, but certainly for those with a very specific view of progress that does not involve the progressive society they are seeking to build reproducing itself (which, ironically, means it will be gone in a generation or two. But who reads the fine print these days, anyway?)

Canada’s Trudeau government, however, seems determined to spread the joy of an uncertain and childless future to others. As the Globe and Mail reported yesterday:

Canada will continue to encourage other countries to offer more family planning services including contraception and abortion because they’re key to fighting poverty, the country’s international development minister said Sunday.

Marie-Claude Bibeau said Canada will continue to speak “frankly” with other countries on the need for such services, even if it remains controversial in some circles.

Bibeau arrived in Rwanda on Sunday of a four-day international conference on family planning that runs until Thursday.

  20. A registration process on a government partnered youth employment initiative has appeared to exclude white South Africans, sparking criticism from the country’s trade union.
The YES (Youth Employment Service) government jobs website aims at helping unemployed young South Africans who have been jobless for longer than six months. The program is endorsed by the National Development Plan 2030, which intends to eliminate poverty and reduce inequality within the next 12 years.

The registration criteria on the site require the applicants to be black, in accordance with the BEE definition (Black Economic Empowerment), between the ages of 18 – 34, and South African citizens.

Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) is a racially selective program launched by the South African government to redress the inequalities of Apartheid by giving black South African citizens, whom they define to include black, coloured and Indian people, economic privileges not available to whites.

“YES is a business-driven initiative which is breaking new ground by pioneering a partnership with government and labor, in collectively tackling a national plan to build economic pathways for black youth,” the website says. “Please note we are currently only registering candidates between the ages of 18 and 34, who are currently unemployed and must be black (as per the B-BBEE codes definition).”

  21. The 2018 midterm will bring many new faces to Washington, but few will find as much adoration as Ilhan Omar. One of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress, Omar, who will represent Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, is a Somali refugee with a celebrity aura and an uplifting story.

What went curiously unmentioned in all the flattering post-election coverage, however, was that Omar, who replaces Keith Ellison — a former acolyte of anti-Semitic minister Louis Farrakhan — also has some exotic notions about the Jewish people.

In a 2012 tweet, for instance, the Democrat explained that “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.”

Meanwhile, the other Muslim woman headed to Congress is Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib, the daughter of Palestinian immigrants who wants to cut aid to the Jewish state because supporting it “doesn’t fit the values of our country.”

  22. According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC), more than forty Canadians for the first time gathered at a Montreal condo over the weekend to share their disturbing stories about how MK-Ultra destroyed their lives.

“The government should offer an apology and there should be recognition of the injustice that was done,” says Gina Blasbalg, who unknowingly became a patient at the Allan Memorial Institute in her teens in the 1960s.

Survivors Allied Against Government Abuse (SAAGA), as the group calls itself on Facebook, includes both victims and family members of Canadians who unknowingly participated in the CIA-funded brainwashing experiments under the supervision of Dr. Ewen Cameron, director of the psychiatric hospital between the 1940’s, 50’s and 60’s.

During the length of the program, Cameron conducted “depatterning” and “psychic driving” experiments that attempted to erase a patient’s memories and even attempted to reprogram them with new thoughts.

  23. James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas released undercover video Tuesday of a Texas poll worker admitting that “tons” of non-citizens are being allowed to vote.
In the video (embedded below), a woman tells two Travis County poll workers that her boyfriend, a DACA recipient, is in the car because he is nervous about not being able to vote. She let’s both poll workers know that the boyfriend is not a citizen.

“If he has his ID that’s all he needs — if he’s registered,” the first election worker reassures the Project Veritas journalist.

“It doesn’t matter that he’s not a citizen?” the journalist asks clearly.

“No, Don’t pay any attention to that. Bring him up here,” the election worker says.

When the journalist tells a second election official that her boyfriend is DACA recipient and worried about his being allowed to vote, the poll worker dismisses all her concerns. “Uh, uh,” she replies reassuringly. “From early voter — we’ve got tons of them.”

“Tons of DACA voters?” the journalist asks.

The woman answers in the affirmative.

  24. he Bay County supervisor of elections claims he accepted about 150 ballots via email or fax in this month’s election, despite no allowance for it under state law.

“You did not go through what we went through,” Supervisor Mark Andersen told the Tampa Bay Times, referring to the devastation in the Panhandle county following Hurricane Michael’s impact in October. “If some are unhappy we did so well up here, I don’t know what to tell them. We sure had an opportunity to not do well, I can tell you that much.”

Andersen did not specify how he verified whether voters were displaced, which is the standard he said he used to allow voters to email scanned ballots to his office.

He claimed an executive order signed by Gov. Rick Scott in the wake of Michael, extending registration deadlines and voting options in hurricane-ravaged counties, allowed such email voting.

  25. The number of murders in London so far this year has now matched the total in the whole of 2017, a grim milestone that will fuel the debate of how to tackle rising crime.

After a series of violent deaths in the capital, including the week from October 31 when there were five stab murders, the tally of homicides has reached 118.

This is equal to the number in the whole of 2017, according to Home Office figures, excluding the 13 victims of the terrorist attacks at Westminster Bridge, London Bridge and Finsbury Park.

The latest incident involved the death of a 35-year-old woman who suffered an abdominal wound at an address in Ilford, east London, on Monday. A 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder.

The official Metropolitan Police tally of violent deaths this year is 120, but the figure takes in two cases that are being treated as self-defence.

  27. “Now on Kindle: Remember When Obama Wouldn’t Show ID?”
    by Diana West – November 13, 2018

Michelle Obama’s recent broadside against the president, force-multiplied by the prObama media, drove me back to review my own contemporaneous effort to make sense of the scandal, and highlight the enabling role of protective media and the abdication of U.S. elected officials from their Constitutional responsibilities in the matter. I find myself impressed anew by the notable exceptions to the surrendering rule such as President Donald Trump, author Jerome Corsi, former Sheriff Joe Arpaio and other singular men and women of courage, so few as to be probably countable on both hands. Note that President Trump is beleaguered anew for having called on the 44th President to show I.D.; it took a presidential pardon for Sheriff Joe to avoid jail; and Jerome Corsi, who wrote the 2011 best-seller Where’s the Birth Certificate?, is currently experiencing Kafka-esque torment at the hands of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

  28. U.S. designates son of Hezbollah leader a terrorist (reuters, Nov 13, 2018)

“The U.S. State Department on Tuesday designated Jawad Nasrallah, son of Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, a terrorist and accused him of carrying out attacks against Israel in the West Bank.

The department also blacklisted Al-Mujahidin Brigades (AMB), which it said had links to Hezbollah and had plotted a number of attacks against Israeli targets from a base in the Palestinian Territories.

“Today’s designations seek to deny Nasrallah and AMB the resources to plan and carry out terrorist attacks,” the State Department said in a statement. It said the actions denied Nasrallah and AMB access to the U.S. financial system.

More sanctions would be announced later in the day, the State Department’s top counter-terrorism official Nathan Sales said separately without elaborating…”

“An associate of the Lebanese Hezbollah group went on trial in Paris on Tuesday along with 14 other suspects for their suspected involvement in a vast crime ring accused of laundering Colombian drug money through luxury jewellery.

The chief defendant is Mohamad Noureddine, a 44-year-old Lebanese businessman with interests in real estate and jewellery.

He was arrested in France in January 2016 during police raids that also took place in Italy, Belgium and Germany, after an alert from the US Drug Enforcement Agency.

US officials, who have imposed sanctions on Noureddine over his supposed links to Lebanon’s Hezbollah party, suspect the network of operating between South America, Europe and the Middle East since 2012.

They identified France, where several of the defendants reside, as being at the center of the syndicate’s operations in Europe, reported AFP…”

  31. How your emoji use on Facebook could be amplifying racism (asiancorrespondent, Nov 13, 2018)

“IN THE AFTERMATH of the fatal stabbing in Melbourne’s Bourke Street on Friday, Facebook and other social media platforms were flooded with hateful messages towards Muslims and Islam.

Over the weekend, I browsed several Islamophobic Facebook pages, such as “No sharia law – Never ever give up Australia” and “Reclaim Australia”.

These groups were using the incident to dehumanise Muslims by sharing mocking memes, GIFs, decontextualised information, and blatantly racist comments.

I noted the “angry” reaction button being widely used in response to posts, while comments on posts were often accompanied by other emoji that emphasised states of rage towards Muslims: angry face, pouting face, swearing face.

This kind of emoji use involves overt racist language and practices, but emoji can also be used to cloak everyday microaggressions in humour and play. For example, previous research has found how online harassers often use cues such as smiley emoticons to mitigate their abuse.

Racism on social media is structural too. A larger body of evidence shows that it can be built into, and normalised by, social media platforms, which also have the power to curb it by instituting responsible policies and processes.

    Using emoji to amplify Islamophobia
Facebook introduced “reactions” in early 2016. Beyond just a simple “like”, this function allowed users to interact with posts and comments by clicking on emoji-like buttons to signify emotions: love, laughter, surprise, sadness and anger.

Since then, hate groups and other users have appropriated this technical feature to spread anger towards specific targets. One way of doing this involves overlaying a question on an image or video and encouraging users to respond by choosing between two reactions, with the “angry” reaction typically being one of the options.

In the below example, taken from a Belgian far-right political party’s Facebook page, users are asked to respond to the question of whether the school year should be adapted to accommodate Islamic traditions.

The way Facebook uses this information can have problematic consequences.

According to a 2016 blog post, Facebook’s algorithms interpret the clicking of the “angry” reaction on a post as an indication that users want to see more content related to those posts.

Islamophobic content that attracts high numbers of “angry” reactions therefore has the potential to become even more visible and shareable.

In this way, “reactions” facilitate the performance of rage and antagonism towards other groups by allowing users to click on an angry-faced emoji.

Facebook also uses these emotional responses to posts to create user profiles to sell to advertisers. The creation of automated categories based on user behaviour has involved Facebook in several public scandals.

For example, in the past, Facebook has reportedly allowed advertisers to target “jew haters” and people interested in “white genocide conspiracy theory” – a useful tool for people who wish to spread hate.

How emoji can reproduce cultural stereotypes
In general, emoji are benign and funny digital images. But their design and use can reproduce long-running racist stereotypes.

The US body responsible for the emoji set, the Unicode Consortium, decides what ends up being represented as emoji. At times, these decisions have caused controversies around cultural diversity and race.

For example, Apple’s family emojis originally excluded depictions of same-sex couples.”

  32. Pakistan has released a former senior Taliban official from jail (khaama, Nov 13, 2018)

“Pakistan has reportedly released a former senior Taliban official from the jail as efforts are underway to persuade the group to participate in peace talks.

Two Taliban officials have confirmed to Associated Press that Abdul Samad Sani, who served as the Afghan Central Bank governor during the militants’ rule in the late 1990s, has been released from the jail.

The officials have also confirmed that a lower-ranking commander named Salahuddin has also been released.

The Pakistani government officials have not commented in this regard so far.

This comes as another senior Taliban leader, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, was released from the jail in Pakistan few days ago.

Reports regarding the release of Abdul Samad Sani emerge at a time when efforts are underway to revive Afghan peace talks.

  34. Opposition parties call for resignation of Turkey’s top religious body head (hurriyetdailynews, Nov 13, 2018)

“The leaders of opposition parties have called on the head of Turkey’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet) to resign after a visit he paid to a figure known widely for stirring controversy with remarks against Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey.

Main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu on Nov. 13 slammed Ali Erba? for visiting Kadir M?s?ro?lu on Nov. 9, a day before the 80th anniversary of the death of Atatürk.

He accused Erba? of paying a visit as a state official, slamming him for “disrespecting” the history of the republic.

Addressing his lawmakers in parliament, Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli also lashed out at Erba? for the timing of the visit and for making it public.

“What are you trying to do by protecting the enemies of Atatürk?” he said, calling on Erba? to resign.

?Y? (Good) Party leader Meral Ak?ener also joined the chorus of critics against Erba?, criticizing him for failing to instruct imams to mourn Atatürk in the Friday sermon a day before his death anniversary and visiting M?s?ro?lu the next day. “Erba? should resign,” she said.

Following the avalanche of criticisms, Erba? said he had only visited M?s?ro?lu to express his get-well wishes.

M?s?ro?lu is known widely for frequently stirring controversy in Turkey with comments denigrating Atatürk.

In a statement, M?s?ro?lu called Erba?’s visit “historical” and referred to the Diyanet head as the “sheikh al-Islam,” meaning the highest-ranking scholar of Islam.

Ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy group chair Mehmet Mu? said “Atatürk is a shared value of our nation.”

“The AKP will show the harshest response against any disrespect toward the founders of the Republic of Turkey, most importantly Atatürk,” he said, asking Erba? to give an explanation of his visit.”
