Germany: Protesters held rally in Frankfurt after AfD’s advance in Hesse
Protesters gathered in Frankfurt, on Sunday evening, to demonstrate against the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
The protest march comes as the polls closed for Hessen’s state elections. The AfD managed to exceed the five percent hurdle to claim seats in the Hessen state parliament.
Following this election, the AfD are represented in all 16 of Germany’s state parliaments.
USA: Baby Trump balloon makes appearance in New York at ‘Impeachment parade’
Several hundred activists gathered in Manhattan on Sunday for the ‘By the People Impeachment Parade,’ with the Baby Trump Balloon making its first appearance in New York City.
The balloon depicting US President Donald Trump was inflated in Battery Park by the anti-Trump group ‘By the People.’
A dozen pro-Trump supporters also showed up at the event to counter-protest in support for the US President, but the protest remained peaceful.
There are currently six replica of the balloon touring the country, after its debut in London during Trump’s visit in the UK last summer.

Indonesia says plane crashes in Java Sea with 188 aboard, wreckage found
JAKARTA (Reuters) – A Lion Air flight with at least 188 people on board is believed to have sunk after crashing into the sea off Indonesia’s island of Java on Monday, shortly after take off from the capital on its way to the country’s tin-mining hub, officials said.
“It has been confirmed that it has crashed,” the spokesman, Yusuf Latif, said by text message, when asked about the fate of the Lion Air plane, which air tracking service Flightradar 24 identified as a Boeing 737 MAX 8.
Debris thought to be from the plane, including aircraft seats, was found near an offshore refining facility, an official of state energy firm Pertamina said.
Wreckage had been found near where the Lion Air plane lost contact with air traffic officials on the ground, said Muhmmad Syaugi, the head of the search and rescue agency.
“We don’t know yet whether there are any survivors,” Syaugi told a news conference. “We hope, we pray, but we cannot confirm.”
Flight JT610 took off around 6.20 a.m. and was due to have landed in the capital of the Bangka-Belitung tin mining region at 7.20 a.m., the Flightradar 24 website showed.
“We cannot give any comment at this moment,” Edward Sirait, chief executive of Lion Air Group, told Reuters, adding that a news conference was planned for later on Monday. “We are trying to collect all the information and data.”
Preliminary flight tracking data from Flightradar24 shows the aircraft climbed to around 5,000 feet (1,524 m) before losing, and then regaining, height, before finally falling towards the sea.
It was last recorded at 3,650 feet (1,113 m) and its speed had risen to 345 knots, according to raw data captured by the respected tracking website, which could not immediately be confirmed.
Its last recorded position was about 15 km (9 miles) north of the Indonesian coastline, according to a Google Maps reference of the last coordinates reported by Flightradar24.
The accident is the first to be reported that involves the widely-sold Boeing 737 MAX, an updated, more fuel-efficient version of the manufacturer’s workhorse single-aisle jet. The first Boeing 737 MAX jets were introduced into service in 2017.
Lion Air’s Malaysian subsidiary, Malindo Air, received the very first global delivery.
Boeing is aware of the airplane accident reports and is “closely monitoring” the situation, it said on social network Twitter.

Colleagues at the hospital he was working at cited rumors that Raza went to Syria to fight for Daesh. “A doctor who worked closely with Raza told me that he was fighting in Syria. With Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, Roberts is now in firm control of the court’s throttle, positioned to decide whether and when to overturn liberal precedents.
The stakes could hardly be higher. The court is being called on — or will be soon — to rule on abortion, guns, gay rights, religious freedom, campaign finance, voting rights, government regulation and presidential power.

CLUB CARNAGE LA nightclub shooting – Seven people shot at California bar during ‘First Purge’ Halloween party
Two people have been rushed to hospital after a shooting in the Sevilla Nightclub
TWO people were rushed to hospital after a shooting at a Halloween party called “The First Purge”.
Local police confirmed an additional five victims were brought to hospital, bringing the total number of people shot to seven.
Partygoers ducked for cover and stampeded towards exits in the Sevilla Nightclub when shots rang out just after midnight in downtown Riverside, California.
The Riverside Police Department responded to a call about a shooting inside and outside the nightclub at 12:04am local time.
When they arrived they found two victims with gunshot wounds.
A spokesperson confirmed the other five gunshot victims transported themselves to local hospitals.

1,000 Honduran migrants break Guatemala police cordon
Guatemala City (AFP) – More than a thousand Honduran migrants broke through a Guatemalan police cordon on the border with Mexico Sunday as they attempted to join a larger caravan of compatriots heading towards the United States, police and rights groups said.
A group of around 1,500 Hondurans were being held back by police from the international bridge that separates the Guatemalan town of Tecun Uman from the Mexican city of Ciudad Hidalgo.
Weight of numbers allowed the Hondurans to break through, but they were then thwarted by a reinforced metal gate blocking them from entering Mexican territory, as Honduran police fired tear gas in an attempt to halt the surge.
Several people showed signs of being affected by the gas but no-one was injured, Guatemalan authorities said.

Migrants in second caravan attack, tear down gate at Mexico-Guatemala border; third caravan sets out

Sunday was a kinetic day for the migrant caravans heading toward the U.S. border. In the morning, about 4,000 people from the lead caravan were in Tapanatepec in southern Mexico, resting for the day. Unfortunately, the rest stop turned violent.
On Friday this group had been blocked near the town of Arriaga, just to the south of Tapanatepec, by a police barricade. Mexican authorities halted them there to make the offer of asylum, jobs, and an array of social assistance programs.
Meanwhile, a caravan is setting out from El Salvador. This third caravan is reportedly launching with about 300 people in it, although some outlets are said to estimate the group at 500.
One young man held up a handy, professionally printed map of migrant routes through Central America and Mexico for a photo op.
HHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen once again on Sunday advised migrant heading for the border: “Do not come.” She and other U.S. authorities have been urging them to go to the U.S. consulates in Mexico and apply for asylum there. (Although technically, by rejecting asylum in Mexico, they have already clarified that they are not asylum-seekers.)

There are three main takeaways from this report,
1) A second caravan has set out and is using violence to try and push past thep olice.
2) A third caravan has set out and is moving towards Mexico/
3) Under international law by refusing refuge in Mexico the invaders have lost the right to claim refugee status in the US.
I doubt the left wing Judges will pay any attention to the last point but if it can be rushed into the Supreme Court they probably will.
Points 1 and 2 show that this is an invasion not people seeking refuge from violence in their home nations. The left in what use to be Western Civilization are working together to try and create the chaos that they think will allow them to take over the world. In Europe they are using MIddle Easterners and Subsaharan Africans. In North America they are using the two groups moving into Europe as well as massive numbers of South Americans. The war to be fought in the coming decades will determine the course for humanity for several centuries. Will we be free people who thrive and expand into the Universe or will we be serfs bound by theology and ideology to masters who care nothing about what happens to us?

Mattis told reporters traveling with him that details of the deployment are still being worked out but he should have them Sunday night. They will include exactly how many forces are needed. It was unclear when the details will be made public.

Arabs committed terrorist attack on high-speed train near Allersberg, Germany–
Horrifying incident on the railway line between Nuremberg and Munich: On the night of October the 7th, unidentified persons pulled a steel cable over the railway tracks of the intercity express. A threatening letter was also found at the scene of the crime – the investigation is now in full swing and the police are looking for witnesses. The incident occurred around 11.15 p.m. on 7th of October when an intercity express train (train number 821, Dortmund – Munich) was on its way from Nuremberg to Munich. Ludwig Waldinger, Deputy Head of the Press Office of the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office in Munich (LKA) told nordbayern.de that the train driver heard suspicious noises at the Allersberg section of the line. However, since the technology worked perfectly, the locomotive driver continued the intercity express journey to Munich. In the terminal station, he checked the railcar and discovered damage to the windshield of the wagon. According to a LKA press release published on Monday lunchtime, German Rail’s Deutsche Bahn officers detected a short-circuit on the railway line. The investigators found what they were looking for on the spot. The officials discovered wood and iron parts, which the LKA does not want to describe in detail for tactical reasons. According to initial information, these are the remains of a steel cable and massive wooden wedges. The rope had apparently been stretched over the tracks by unknowns, and the pieces of wood were probably placed on the tracks. A helicopter was also used for the searches. The investigators, however, made another explosive find: On the spot, they came across a threatening letter written in Arabic and an Arabic graffiti on a bridge pillar. “The letter was translated and evaluated,” Waldinger said. It is apparently related to the attack on the intercity express train. The text should not contain any concrete threats or attack plans, but Waldinger speaks of “abstract threats”. There is no further information on the content of the letter. According to the press release, the two search actions during which the evidence was found took place on 24th and 26th of October – more than two weeks after the incident itself. Whether there had been investigations in Allersberg immediately after the incident could not be answered by the LKA spokesman on request and referred to the jurisdiction of the federal police. In the meantime, the Bavarian Central Office for Combating Extremism and Terrorism of the Office of the Attorney General (ZET) has taken up the case.

If you’ve never heard of Gab.com, you’re to be forgiven. It’s the name of a social media site that was launched in 2016 as a right-wing alternative to Twitter but never managed to rise to the level of its rivals.
Gab wouldn’t be in the news today if it weren’t for the fact that on Saturday, synagogue shooter Robert Bowers posted a message on the site reading “I can’t sit by an watch my people get slaughtered. Screw your optics. I’m going in.”

Megyn Kelly’s lawyers are requesting that famed #MeToo reporter Ronan Farrow be present at talks with NBC executives as the network prepares to cut the unpopular host loose.
The move appears to be an intimidation attempt, using a reporter publicly critical of the network for burying his stories about sexual misconduct against women, as she battles for the remainder of her bloated $69 million contract.
Kelly found herself swirling in controversy this week after ill-advised comments on the acceptability of wearing blackface costumes on Halloween.
NBC pulled her off the air in a move clearly more about punishing her for poor ratings and performance than it is about punishing her for controversial comments.

Dems waste no time politicizing Pittsburgh synagogue shooting to renew calls for gun control

Congressional Democrats immediately pushed for gun control measures following the mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue Saturday that left at least 10 people dead.
The suspect, identified as Robert Bowers, was reportedly armed with a rifle and several handguns. Bowers’ social media accounts were filled with anti-Semitic rhetoric and is said to have yelled “All Jews must die!” during the shooting.
It’s unclear at this point how Bowers acquired his weapons, whether he passed a background check, and whether any proposed legislation could have prevented the shooting. Even so, prominent Democrats took to social media to advocate for more restrictive gun legislation in response to the mass murder.
“Congress is complicit — by its inaction — in this loathsome epidemic of gun violence,” Democratic Connecticut Sen. Richard Blumenthal wrote on Twitter.

Michael Moore: It’s time for Democrats to ‘rev up the rhetoric’

How tone-deaf is the Left? An answer to that question was provided indirectly by a segment on MSNBC’s “All in with Chris Hayes” last Wednesday that featured far-left filmmaker Michael Moore.
The subject of the segment was then-still-at-large mail bomber and whether his actions were motivated by Donald Trump’s incendiary rhetoric. To provide further context, it should be noted that this interview came at a time when the president was making broad appeals for unity — and being rebuffed for the same.
Against this backdrop, Hayes asked Moore: “You hear people talking about people need to tamp down the rhetoric on both sides, you hear that a lot, and unity. We need more unity. What do you think about that?”
Moore’s answer was “Well no, first of all, our side needs to rev it up, and we need to fight for these things that we feel strongly about.”
Hayes, evidently recognizing the danger of seeming to condone violence on live television jumped in and specified “Nonviolently just to be clear?” which led Moore to make the absurd statement, “Of course we are nonviolent people. Nonviolent democracy-based cures is what we stand for.”

“A woman has blown herself up in an apparent terrorist attack in Tunisia’s capital, reportedly injuring eight police officers. People were seen running for their lives after the bomb exploded on a busy street.
The explosion took place on Habib Bourguiba avenue, central Tunis, near the city’s Municipal Theater.
Witness Mohamed Ekbal bin Rajib told Reuters that he was “in front of the theater and heard a huge explosion and saw people fleeing.”
Several ambulances and police attended the scene, as videos uploaded to social media show officials examining the body of the woman and trying control panicked crowds.
Interior Ministry spokesman Sufian al-Zaq has confirmed that eight police and one citizen have been injured in the explosion, Local Arabic newspaper Al Chourouk reports. The bombing took place next to a police van and near a hotel.
What is usually one of the busiest streets in the capital were shut down following the explosion. According to state news agency TAP, who cited the Tunisian Interior Ministry, the bomber had no known militant background.
Tunisia was shaken in 2015 after a spate of large attacks against tourists. 21 people were killed in a hostage siege in the Bardo National Museum in Tunis, and another rogue gunman murdered 38 on a beach at the Port El Kantaoui resort.
Although there were no attacks of that scale since then, the security situation, dependent on tourism, remains tense, with turmoil in neighbouring Libya, which is overrun by militant groups including Islamic State, being the biggest concern.
The UK Foreign Office has warned that terrorist attacks are still “very likely” in Tunisia, “including against UK and Western interests.”
Police are also frequently targeted. The democratic Arab nation has been under a state of emergency since a suicide bomb attack on a police bus in November 2015.

Canadian taxpayers have unwittingly been funding terrorism for more than two decades, often through federally registered charities, many of which have since been banned in other countries and subsequently by Ottawa as well. The International Relief Fund for the Afflicted and Needy, which has sent tens of millions of dollars in goods and services to the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, is one example. Another is the Islamic Society of North America’s Development Foundation, which was discovered to be funding the Pakistani Islamist movement Jamaat-e-Islami. A third was Libyan dictator Muammar Gaddafi’s “Jihad Fund,” which was operating in Canada through a charity registered as the World Islamic Call Society.
For the past three years, however, since the election of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, there has been a shift in the way in which Canadian money is being funneled to terrorist groups. Whereas prior to 2015, the individuals responsible for terrorism-funding were not members of the government or parliament, current evidence suggests that acting politicians are involved in directing money down a path where the ultimate destination is a listed terrorist group. While on paper the ban applies only to Pakistan, it appears Canadian officials extended the same reasoning to adoptions from almost any Muslim country.

CBC News confirms that Canada has accepted 117 former humanitarian volunteers fleeing Syria
As Maysoon al-Masri struck out for the Israeli border with Syria on a pitch-black night last summer, she struggled with second thoughts — and with the kind of homesick remorse that is impossible to shake.
The former journalist and her husband slipped through the dark, ruined streets of Daraa in southwestern Syria toward a pre-arranged meeting point on the border, where — with the help of the Israeli military — they became exiles, travelling west in the hope of a new, peaceful life.
“I was really upset. I didn’t want to leave home,” al-Masri told CBC News in an exclusive interview. “It was like ripping roots from the ground.”
As she and her husband approached the border, she was struck by the knowledge that she might never see her family again.
Over almost five years, al-Masri bore witness to some of the most terrifying, brutal episodes of her country’s long, unfinished civil war.
Moments of grace punctuate her horrific memories like bright lights in a dark room. Carrying a wounded young boy to hospital in her arms. Squeezing the hand of a woman writhing in pain, whose burn dressings were being changed without medication.
CBC News has learned Canada has accepted 117 Syrian refugees — former White Helmet emergency volunteers and their families, rescued in a dramatic international evacuation in July.
That extraordinary effort involving Israel, Britain, France and Germany was driven by Canada, which repeatedly has singled out the volunteer first responders as heroes.
Several Western countries, including Canada, agreed to resettle the volunteers, who have waited months in a United Nations refugee camp in Jordan.
The now-former White Helmets destined for this country arrived quietly last week and will find new homes in four provinces: British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Ontario and Nova Scotia.
CBC News was granted exclusive access when the largest group of seven families arrived at Pearson Airport in Toronto on Tuesday. Some stayed in southern Ontario, while others moved on to different provinces and new homes.
It was a low-key welcome, with only a single representative of the White Helmets in Canada there to greet them — a stark contrast to the scene three years ago, when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau personally welcomed the first wave of 52,000 Syrian refugees to this country.
Among the recent arrivals was al-Masri, who visited Canada last spring as part of an international outreach effort by the White Helmets, who are condemned as terrorists and propagandists by the regime of dictator Bashar al-Assad and his ally Russia.
Both governments have gone as far as to accuse the first responders of faking atrocities.
The White Helmets — runners-up for the last Nobel Peace Prize and likely to be nominated again this year by human rights lawyer Irwin Cotler — have witnessed and documented the savagery being inflicted upon ordinary people in Syria.
Backed by Russian airpower last spring, Assad’s forces drove towards Daraa, which has been described as the cradle of the rebellion — one of the first cities to rise up in protest during the 2011 Arab Spring.
The White Helmets in the city had a target on their backs — something that became obvious as government troops started cutting off roads in the region.
They knew what their fate would be if they stayed. They knew what would happen to their parents, spouses and children.
“The reason we left was to escape arrest,” said al-Masri in a translated interview. “We are not scared of dying. We’re scared of being tortured and what would happen to our families. Our situation was very dangerous.”
The evacuation plan emerged in early July after Robin Wettlaufer, Ottawa’s special envoy to Syria, received an urgent appeal from one of the leaders of the group.
It was a risky plan, one that relied largely on coordination inside Syria through WhatsApp text messages — which al-Masri said worked fine only when they had internet access.
The international community expected to remove up to 1,200 evacuees — first responders and their families. In the end, only 422 Syrian White Helmets and their families managed to get out last July.
Hundreds remain trapped in Syria. Some of those who tried to escape through other means were betrayed by their neighbours — and even by rebels who had been granted safe passage out of the area by the Russians.
“There were people from the neighbourhoods that knew us,” she said. “Rebels would go talk to them when buses would come up to checkpoints. The rebels would get on the bus and anyone that they knew worked for the White Helmets, they would take them away.”
The fate of those arrested is unknown, al-Masri said.
Some White Helmets still trapped in Syria managed to make it to rebel-controlled territory. Some of them have sent texts to al-Masri pleading with her to get them out.
One such appeal arrived recently from a friend. Al-Masri said she has not answered yet — because she doesn’t know what to say.
She said she believes the international community must undertake a renewed attempt to rescue the rescuers who desperately want to leave.
Al-Masri offered an extraordinary account of life in the Azraq refugee camp, which is home to 40,000 other Syrians who have fled to neighbouring Jordan.
Upon arrival, she said, their smartphones and electronics were confiscated. The devices were wiped and returned only as the UN was escorting them to the airport for departure, said al-Masri.
The White Helmet volunteers and their families lived in the camp in metal huts as temperatures hovered around 40 C for two months.
There was infrequent and incomplete access to doctors and medical staff, she said.
One of the women who was resettled in Canada with al-Masri, and who did not want to be interviewed, was pregnant during the evacuation and gave birth only two weeks ago.
She had trouble getting access to a doctor in the camp, al-Masri claimed.
Muzna Dureid, who represents the White Helmets in Canada and was at the airport to welcome them, said she hopes the misery is over for these former first responders.
“It’s giving them a safe space, peace, and what they need … protection,” she said.
They left the war behind. The memories will follow them forever.
Just prior to boarding the flight for Canada, al-Masri learned her 32-year-old nephew, also a White Helmet, died recently.
“What we lived through was difficult and we will need time to move on from the memories,” she said.
“Even now, even though we know we’re safe, the sounds of the missiles and bombings are still here. When a car drives by us, or we hear a weird noise, we automatically try to get into position and take cover.”

One of the victims told a trial at Sheffield Crown Court how she had sex with ‘at least 100 Asian men’ by the time she was 16.
Another girl recounted how she was forced to have an abortion by her parents after she was raped by a number of men in a forest, who bit her and threatened to abandon her if she did not comply.
The girl, who was about 14 at the time, was driven to Sherwood Forest by defendants Kurshid and Yousaf along with a third man, some time between August 2002 and August 2003, the trial heard.
Two of the victims, who were sisters, were ‘vulnerable’ after being ‘effectively abandoned’ by their parents when they were young, the court heard.
The girls were ‘enthralled by older Asian men’ and believed they were ‘loved because they were receiving attention’.
Michelle Colborne QC, prosecuting, said: ‘These sisters, like so many others were easy to exploit because they needed to be loved.’
She told the jury that five of the men, led by Mohammed Imran Akhtar, were friends who were ‘content to pass the girls around’.
The case is the first major prosecution arising out of Operation Stovewood, the National Crime Agency’s (NCA) inquiry into historical child sexual exploitation in the South Yorkshire town which has identified more than 1,500 victims.
This investigation was set up in the wake of the 2014 Jay Report which laid bare the shocking scale of exploitation in Rotherham between 1997 and 2013 and failure of police and social services to intervene.
The jury in the trial which finished today heard how girls, who are now in their 30s, were ‘lured by the excitement of friendship with older Asian youths’ but then sexually assaulted and passed between men.
Ms Colborne said: ‘When they were in their teens, they were targeted, sexualised and, in some instances, subjected to acts of a degrading and violent nature at the hands of these men who sit in the dock.
‘None of them had the maturity to understand that they were being groomed and exploited.’
The jury of nine men and three women was told how girls were given alcohol and drugs before they were passed between men in the town and ‘believed sex of some kind or other was a necessary price for friendship’.
Miss Colborne said the girl raped in the forest was given cannabis and was ‘high as a kite’ as each defendant took turns in having sex with her.
Ms Colborne said the girl was bitten during the attack, leaving marks on her neck.
The prosecutor said: ‘She became pregnant as a result of the group rape. Her parents forced her to have a termination. She suffered a great deal of psychological trauma as a result.’
Ms Colborne told the jury that the teenager, who is now in her 30s, ‘was passed from one group of Asian males to another and, over time, was very seriously abused’.
The girl reported the matter to South Yorkshire Police, but no-one was prosecuted and Ms Colborne said the victims were ‘frequently in cars stopped by the police but this did not deter the abusers’.
Mohammed Imran Ali Akhtar, 37, was found guilty of one rape, one charge of aiding and abetting rape, three indecent assaults, one charge of procuring a girl under 21 to have unlawful sexual intercourse with another and one sexual assault.
Nabeel Kurshid, 35, was found guilty of two rapes and one indecent assault.
Iqlak Yousaf, 34, was found guilty of two rapes and two indecent assaults.
Tanweer Ali, 37, was found guilty of two rapes, two indecent assaults and one charge of false imprisonment.
Salah Ahmed El-Hakam, 39, was found guilty of one rape.
Asif Ali, 33, was found guilty of two indecent assaults.
Ajmal Rafiq, 39, was acquitted of all charges.
An eighth defendant, who cannot be named, was found guilty of two rapes.
The seven men who were convicted today, who are all from the Rotherham area, were remanded in custody and will be sentenced on November 16.”

The attack on al-Fuqaha began around 1 a.m. At least a dozen townspeople have gone missing, presumed abducted by the militants, including an 80-year-old man, said Ismail al-Shareef, a lawmaker from the area. IS later claimed the attack in an online statement, saying it took hostages.
The militants torched the town’s police station along with two houses, residents said, speaking on condition of anonymity for fear of reprisals.
The attack on al-Fuqaha, south of the former IS bastion of Sirte on the Mediterranean coast, underscores the volatility of Libya’s central region, where IS and other armed groups, including some from neighboring Chad, operate as highway robbers or attack patrols of the self-styled Libyan National Army led by Gen. Khalifa Hifter.
Following the attack, Hifter’s forces, which answer to the government based in eastern Libya, pursued the attackers into the desert, according to al-Shareef. 5,000 US troops will deploy to southern border: report

The U.S. military is set to deploy about 5,000 troops to the U.S.-Mexico border to assist with the Trump administration’s response to a so-called migrant caravan of asylum seekers, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday.
The number represents a significant increase over the initial estimate of 800 that several news outlets reported last week.
“Planning is still underway,” Pentagon spokeswoman Laura Seal said in a statement to The Hill. “It remains premature to speculate total numbers or specific forces to be selected to accomplish the requested missions.”

That was President Trump, responding to the murder of 11 Jews at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh.
“Our minds cannot comprehend the cruel hate and twisted malice that could cause a person to unleash such terrible violence,” the president said, “during a baby naming ceremony at a sacred house of worship on the holy day of Sabbath.” The president said “anti-Semitism and the widespread persecution of Jews represents one of the ugliest and darkest features in human history. Anti-Semitism must be condemned and confronted everywhere and anywhere it appears.”
Suspect Robert Bowers, 48, yelled “all Jews must die” as he fired, killing 11 and injuring six, including four police officers. FBI special agent Bob Jones said it was the “most horrific crime scene” he’s witnessed in 22 years. Swift action by police prevented many more casualties and police took Bowers into custody.
President Trump told reporters “people who do this should get the death penalty. I think they should stiffen up laws and I think they should very much bring the death penalty to anybody who does a thing like this to innocent people.” Agent Jones said that prior to the synagogue attack, Bowers was unknown to law enforcement.

The criminal prosecution of accused 56-year-old mail bomber, Cesar Altieri Sayoc of Aventura, Florida, who is said to have sent non-operating improvised explosive devices to Democrat headliners like Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and George Soros, is scheduled to begin today.
Sayoc, a down-on-his-luck male stripper and bodybuilder with psychiatric problems who was reportedly living in a van plastered with pro-Trump, anti-Democrat, and anti-CNN imagery, was quietly arrested Friday outside an auto parts store. He faces five federal charges. He was been identified by the media as a rabid supporter of President Trump, which he may well be, but there is some evidence that calls into question the truthfulness of that assessment and whether Sayoc’s purported beliefs are sincere. And even if the facile media characterization of his politics turns out to be accurate, Sayoc did not speak for Republicans when he allegedly mailed explosives to prominent Democrats. In America, with few exceptions, political violence is a thing of the Left.
While this writer is generally reluctant to consider theories of false-flag operations, false flags are what the Left does, especially in the Trump era as Democrats continue suffering an extended collective mental breakdown after Hillary Clinton was unexpectedly defeated in November 2016.
There is the Trump-Russia electoral collusion conspiracy theory, which has roiled Trump’s presidency since before it began, and that itself sprang out of a fanciful spy dossier paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign. The long-running investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller has uncovered no evidence whatsoever implicating Trump or his campaign in any kind of electoral collusion, which, by the way, isn’t actually a crime. Yet the probe has damaged Trump’s presidency and has served as a rallying point for Democrats, which was the whole reason for launching it in the first place. In politics, lying works, as Democrats can readily attest.

President Trump vowed to commit all available federal law enforcement resources to apprehend whomever was responsible for sending at least 13 improvised explosive devices to political, media and celebrity opponents of the president. He also called for unity. “In these times, we have to unify, we have to come together, and send one very clear, strong, unmistakable message that acts or threats of political violence of any kind have no place in the United States of America,” President Trump said. Within 48 hours of the president’s pronouncement, Federal authorities arrested Cesar Sayoc of Florida, aged 56, in connection with the bomb threats. Following the arrest of Cesar Sayoc on Friday, President Trump again sought to rise above partisan divisions. He said at a meeting of the Young Black Leadership Summit that the bombs were “terrorizing acts” that “have no place in our country.” He added, “We must never allow political violence to take root in America. I’ve committed to do everything in my power as president to stop it, and to stop it now.”
