  1. Melanie Phillips:

Remarks this week about Iran by US National Security Adviser John Bolton contained some of the most ferocious language ever used by an American administration about a foreign state.

Bolton told the Iranian regime: “If you cross us, our allies or our partners; if you harm our citizens; if you continue to lie, cheat and deceive, yes, there will indeed be hell to pay. Let my message today be clear: ‘We are watching, and we will come after you.’”

Earlier this year the US pulled out of the nuclear deal with Iran, re-instituting potentially crippling sanctions against the regime. At the UN, President Trump delivered a similar message. America, he said, would not allow “the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism” to possess “the means to deliver a nuclear warhead to any city on Earth.”

Bolton went further and threatened “terrible consequences” for those doing business with Iran. But Britain and Europe are intending to do exactly that.

Earlier in the week, the EU and the three European co-signers of the Iran deal – Britain, France and Germany – said they would set up a new payment system to allow oil companies and businesses to continue trading without relying on the US-led global market. Commentators agree this sanctions-busting ruse is unlikely to work.

Big companies are already pulling out of Iran because the US says they can trade with Iran or America but they can’t do both. The European maneuver is likely merely to antagonize the US. As its Secretary of State Mike Pompeo angrily said, the Europeans were now “solidifying Iran’s ranking as number-one state sponsor of terror” with “one of the most counterproductive measures imaginable for regional peace and security”.

  2. n Germany caught planning chemical terror attack in Israel

Palestinian in Germany caught planning chemical terror attack in Israel
A 21-year-old Syrian-born Palestinian man has been arrested in Germany on suspicion of planning to carry out a terror attack in Israel using chemical weapons, according to German media reports.

Security forces armed with automatic weapons arrested the man last week outside a restaurant in Berlin’s Neukölln neighborhood, Bild reported Thursday.

The man had already recruited others to join the Islamic State terror group, the report stated.

The German Federal Intelligence Service (BND) reportedly received a tip from a foreign security service about the man, who arrived some time ago from Libya using a false passport.

The German newspaper Welt reported that the man intended to use chemical weapons for his planned terror attack in Israel, and in a phone call intercepted by security officials stated that he had already acquired the necessary materials.

However, police had not yet found the materials, the reports stated, and the investigation was ongoing.

  3. Expert: Trump Must Insist on Total Cutoff of Iranian Banks for Sanctions to be Effective

United States President Donald Trump must be willing, for sanctions to effectively change Iran’s destabilizing behavior, to sanction the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT), if it maintains connections with sanctioned Iranian banks in November, Richard Goldberg, a senior adviser at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, argued in an op-ed published Wednesday in the New York Post.

SWIFT is an organization that carries messages back and forth between banks. If it does not disconnect access from Iranian banks after November, when the U.S. re-imposes banking sanctions, European nations will be able to sidestep those sanctions by enabling deals between European banks and sanctioned Iranian banks through SWIFT.

Shortly after Trump announced that the U.S. was withdrawing from the nuclear deal in May, the European Commission announced its intent to “evade US sanctions by processing payments to Iran through European central banks,” Goldberg wrote.

In 2012, Congress passed a law allowing the president to sanction members of SWIFT, who violated U.S. sanctions. These sanctions, which Goldberg helped design as a top aide to then-Sen. Mark Kirk (R – Ill.), cut off Iran’s central bank and helped force Iran to negotiate. However, as part of the nuclear deal, Iranian banks once again had access to SWIFT, and Western leverage to force Iran to negotiate or compromise was lost.

Instead of cutting off sanctioned Iranian banks, some are suggesting a compromise plan that would allow SWIFT to penalize only those Iranian banks that violate its standards, and engage in terror-financing and money-laundering. Goldberg dismissed such an arrangement as “a dressed-up version of the status quo and exactly what JCPOA supporters want.”

  4. In Video, Iranian News Agency Fars, An IRGC Affiliate, Threatens Vengeance Against Riyadh, Jerusalem In Response To Attack On IRGC In Ahvaz

On September 24, 2018, a video bearing the logo of the Iranian news agency Fars, which is affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), was disseminated on social media.[1] It included a threat of an Iranian response to the September 22 terror attack on an IRGC military parade in Ahvaz, Iran, in which 25 were killed. According to the video, Iran will avenge the attack by targeting the Saudi capital Riyadh and Jerusalem.

The video presents Iran’s policy of response to any attack on Iranian forces, both inside and outside Iran, as follows:

The June 2017 Islamic State (ISIS) attack on the Iranian Majlis, avenged with IRGC missiles fired on ISIS command posts at Deir Al-Zour, Syria, that same month.

The Israeli attack (no date given) on the T4 airbase in Syria was, according to the video, avenged with an attack of 68 missiles on 10 military points in the Golan, in May 2018.

An attack by Iraqi Kurdish forces on Iranian forces at the Iran-Iraq border was avenged with IRGC missiles fired on Kurdish command posts in Iraq’s Kurdistan province, in September 2018.

The September 22 terror attack at the IRGC military parade in Ahvaz will, according to the video, be avenged in Riyadh and Jerusalem.

  5. The SPLC: A Massive, Multi-Million-Dollar Character Assassination Machine
The establishment media continues to try to destroy opposition to Sharia.
    September 28, 2018
    Robert Spencer

As Brett Kavanaugh defended himself on Thursday against scurrilous and unsubstantiated allegations brought forward by the Democrats, who have now richly earned the sobriquet “the Evil Party,” David Horowitz tweeted: “The left lives by character assassination – Bork, Thomas, Kavanaugh.” Yes it does, and this doesn’t manifest itself solely in Supreme Court nominee hearings. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), the establishment media’s principal source for determining who is acceptable in the public square and who isn’t, is a well-heeled, unscrupulous character assassination machine, destroying lives and reputations with impunity for years now.

The SPLC has for years defamed me as a “hate group leader” and an “anti-Muslim extremist.” These are not mere words. Tyler O’Neil reported in PJ Media last September that former SPLC spokesman Mark Potok declared: “Sometimes the press will describe us as monitoring hate groups, I want to say plainly that our aim in life is to destroy these groups, completely destroy them.”

Potok added: “You are able to destroy these groups sometimes by the things you publish. It’s not so much that they will bring down the police or the federal agents on their head, it’s that you can sometimes so mortally embarrass these groups that they will be destroyed. … We see this political struggle. We’re not trying to change anybody’s mind. We’re trying to wreck the groups. We’re trying to destroy them. Not to send them to prison unfairly or to take their free speech rights away, but as a political matter to destroy them.”

Quick quiz. Find the main difference between these brief excerpts from accounts of the world’s two major faiths.

    First, this:

Christians believe [Jesus Christ] to be the Son of God….according to Christian teaching after three days he rose from the dead….Christians believe that there is only one God, but that he is revealed in three different forms.

    Next, this:

The Qur’an was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad during [Ramadan]. The actual night that the Qur’an was revealed is a night known as Lailut ul-Qadr (‘The Night of Power’).

The difference, of course, is that while the details of the founding of Christianity are presented as a set of beliefs, the supernatural elements of Islam’s founding narrative are recounted as if they were historical fact.

Both of these excerpts are from a BBC website intended for the use of teachers in secular British schools.

  8. A Canadian journalist associate of Tommy Robinson is under police investigation for filming the activist waving at fans from a window after his appearance in court this Thursday.
It is illegal and can constitute contempt of the court to film inside a court building in the United Kingdom, with section 41 of the Criminal Justice Act 1925 making it an offence to photograph people within court precincts.

On Thursday Ezra Levant, a Canadian political activist and broadcaster, shared a short video on Twitter on Mr Robinson allegedly filmed inside the Old Bailey.

Robinson was also pictured with his phone out, but footage on Twitter only shows the activist standing by a window, outside the courtroom, and focuses mainly on the crowds outside on the street.

A City of London Police spokesman told Breitbart London: “We have been made aware of a video on social media which appears to show filming taking place inside the Central Criminal Court, and has been shared online.

“We will be looking into whether any offences have been committed.”

The man, who has asked to remain anonymous out of fear of reprisals, is of Middle Eastern origin and has been living in Ireland for nearly a decade.

He told the Limerick Post that management at the centre are frightened to take any action because there are no security officers on the premises, and they are afraid that the radicals will be backed up by other asylum seekers who have cheated the direct provision system.

The man, who asked to be referred to as ‘Ivan’ says he approached The Limerick Post because he felt that people needed to made aware of what he describes as “a worsening situation”.

  10. Kavanaugh Says He’s Target of Clinton Revenge

Judge Brett Kavanaugh, fighting for his life, accused Democrats of launching a smear campaign that has left “my name and my family permanently destroyed.” (Washington Examiner)

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh accused Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday of leveraging anti-Trump sentiment following the bruising 2016 presidential election into a smear campaign designed to tarnish his reputation and sink his confirmation.

“This whole two-week effort has been a calculated and orchestrated political hit, fueled with apparent pent-up anger about President Trump and the 2016 election. Fear that has been unfairly stoked about my judicial record, revenge on behalf of the Clintons, and millions of dollars in money from outside, left-wing opposition groups,” Kavanaugh said during opening remarks before the panel.

  11. Erdogan’s hold on Germany’s largest mosque association (DW, Sep 28, 2018)

“Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to open a new central mosque in Cologne. DITIB, a controversial Turkish-Islamic umbrella group, provides the financing and imams. What is DITIB?

Mosque association with strong links to Turkey

The Turkish-Islamic Union for Religious Affairs (DITIB) is the largest umbrella organization of mosques in Germany. DITIB manages about 900 mosques in Germany, including the central mosque in Cologne, and has about 800,000 members throughout Germany. Its ties to Turkey are very strong. According to the official research service for the German Bundestag, which has created a register of Islamic organizations in Germany, its charter states that DITIB is “linked to the Turkish government’s Directorate of Religious Affairs (Diyanet).” The Diyanet sends Turkish imams to DITIB mosques; the imams’ salaries are then paid by the respective Turkish consulate general for the duration of their stay. In other words, the Diyanet determines the theological guidelines behind what is preached in the mosques.

    Influential force in Ankara

The Diyanet is a state body for the administration of religious affairs in Turkey and answers directly to President Erdogan. Created in 1924 by state founder Kemal Ataturk, the Diyanet was long known for its moderate interpretation of Islam and widely respected throughout Turkey. However, in recent years the Diyanet has shifted away from its previously rather restrained function: particulary under Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Islamic conservative AKP government, the institution has gained considerably in significance.

Today, the Ankara-based organization has about 120,000 employees who, among other tasks, are responsible for the content of the weekly Friday prayers in Turkey’s 85,000 mosques. With an annual budget of more than €1 billion ($1.17 billion), the Diyanet has more money at its disposal than either Turkey’s interior or foreign ministries.

    Conservative structures

DITIB has come under repeated criticism in recent years, partly because of the Diyanet’s influence on it. Following the Turkish army’s invasion of northern Syria in January 2018, the head of the Diyanet urged mosque worshippers to pray for Turkey’s victory. DITIB mosques in Germany showed videos of preschoolers in uniform, and events held there in commemoration of World War I seem to have featured re-enacted battles and the praise of “martyrs” as part of proceedings.

Last year, DITIB refused to take part in a protest organized by Muslim associations in Cologne against Islamist terror. Also in 2017, the complete board of the national DITIB youth organization (BDMJ) resigned, accusing the association of suppressing any tendencies toward liberalization.

    Authorities wary of DITIB

As early as the summer of 2016, the extent to which the DITIB’s internal structures are aligned with domestic political events in Turkey became clear in the aftermath of the failed coup there. DITIB imams allegedly spied on backers of Fethullah Gulen, whom Turkey holds responsible for the attempted coup, within their German congregations. Germany’s federal public prosecutor investigated 19 imams.

And most recently, German media reported in September that the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), the domestic intelligence agency, was apparently considering keeping DITIB under observation.

    Turn for the worse

German authorities for years regarded the DITIB to be an important contact concerning matters of faith and integration and even provided it with state funding. But that perception has changed in the wake of recent events. Subsidies for the DITIB were drastically reduced this year: In 2018, the association received about €300,000 ($353,500) from the German government, compared to €1.5 million ($1.8 million) in 2017.

Clearly, DITIB is no longer the poster child for cooperation on issues around integration: When President Erdogan officially opens a new mosque in Cologne, the premier of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia will not attend the ceremony. While Armin Laschet has often stressed the significance of open exchange and a critical dialogue in international relations, opening a DITIB mosque alongside Erdogan did not seem to be “the right place” for such things, he has said.”

  12. even men were arrested Thursday in the Netherlands on suspicion of plotting a large-scale extremist attack that Dutch prosecutors said they think was foiled following a months-long investigation.

The national prosecutor’s office said in a statement that heavily armed police arrested the men in the towns of Arnhem, about 100 kilometers (62 miles) south of Amsterdam, and Weert in the southern Netherlands close to the borders of Germany and Belgium.

The investigation was launched by intelligence suggesting the alleged ring leader, a 34-year-old man of Iraqi heritage, wanted to carry out an attack at the site of a large event and cause multiple casualties, according to the statement.

  13. Border Patrol agents are apprehending an increasing number of migrant groups that include more than 100 people on the northern side of the U.S.-Mexico border, and recorded two more incidents this week.

The total number of people found in large caravans wandering through southern Arizona in recent weeks now stands at 1,200, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Agents based at Ajo Station in south-central Arizona found a group of 164 people and another that included about 100 people in the desert just north of Mexican city Sonoyta Tuesday afternoon, a press release issued Thursday stated.

Every person in the group was taken in by federal law enforcement agents and determined to be from three Central American countries: El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras. The caravan members were between the ages of 11 months and 59 years.

Human smugglers flooded a portion of the Texas-Mexico border with 170 Central American families and children last week in an attempt to overwhelm U.S. Border Patrol and get adults who wanted to avoid getting arrested into the country while agents were busy elsewhere, CBP said in a statement.

[Also read: ICE: 3 in 10 illegal immigrant family units cut off ankle bracelets after being released from custody]

Officials say the use of these 100- and 200-person groups has become the newest way smugglers are illegally moving people into the country.

A Border Patrol official based on the southwest border who asked to remain anonymous told the Washington Examiner last week the recent caravan trend is “concerning” because the agency does not see it discontinuing any time soon.

The official does not believe these massive groups were traveling together through Mexico, unlike the 1,000-person caravan of Central Americans that did so this spring. Instead, much smaller groups of migrants have traveled to Mexican border towns, and once there, smugglers formed a large group, then led them into the U.S. where they surrendered to federal law enforcement officers.

This week, DHS reported 98 to 99 percent of the nearly 95,000 Central American “family units” apprehended in fiscal 2017 remain in the country today.

On Thursday, Iraqi media reported that unknown assailants killed Tara Fares, a well-known model and social media fashion icon, in Baghdad’s Kam Sara neighborhood.

The Director of Media at Baghdad’s Rusafa Health Center told Iraqi media outlets that Fares’ body arrived at Sheikh Zaid hospital at 5:45 p.m. (local time). The model suffered three bullet wounds.

In a statement, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior said investigations into the killing of the model had begun.

  16. New York resident Linda Sarsour may be a darling of the progressive movement south of the border, but her impending presence at a Muslim community convention on Oct. 6 has prompted calls for organizers to dis-invite her and has led to at least two online petitions, one of which calls for her to be banned from entering Canada.

Sarsour, the co-founder of the Women’s March on Washington and a prominent critic of Israel, is slated to address the Carry the Light convention, which runs at The International Centre in Mississauga, Ont., on Oct. 6 and 7. The event is sponsored by the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), an organization that has been accused of having links to the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) and B’nai Brith Canada have raised concerns about Sarsour’s participation at the conference, noting her support for Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Meanwhile, a petition posted by the Canadian Coalition for Responsible Government (CCRG) on the CitizenGO website is calling on the RCMP to prohibit Sarsour from entering the country. A second petition launched by B’nai Brith calls on ICNA to dis-invite Sarsour, as well as five other speakers.

“Judging by the roster of participating speakers, the event seems more likely to foment anti-Israel hatred and promote anti-Semitic and homophobic conspiracy theories within Toronto’s Muslim community,” B’nai Brith stated in a news release.

  19. FREDERICTON – New Brunswick’s right-leaning People’s Alliance has agreed to prop up a Tory minority government, but the Liberal premier is urging skeptical Progressive Conservative legislators to rebel against “the deal” — and keep his party in power.

People’s Alliance Leader Kris Austin said Friday he had met with Lt.-Gov. Jocelyne Roy Vienneau and told her he had agreed to back Blaine Higgs’ Tories for 18 months after Monday’s deadlocked election results.

However, Premier Brian Gallant held his own news conference shortly afterwards, saying he’ll continue talks to form a minority government with the Green party, and will recall the legislature by Oct. 23 or sooner for a throne speech.

Gallant challenged members of the Tory caucus who may not be sympathetic to People’s Alliance policies to either cross the floor or publicly reveal their discontent with the new relationship between the two parties.

  21. TL;DR: Kavanaugh’s accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, had open her Congressional testimony by blatantly miss-stating and miss-representing her professional credentials, and all the major corporate media ate up and furthered her lie

Testifying under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Christine Blasey Ford identified herself as a ‘psychologist,’ but records indict this is a false statement under California law. Someone at Stanford University also appears to have caught the blunder and edited Ford’s faculty page.

Just one sentence into her sworn testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee regarding allegations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford may have told a lie.

After thanking members of the committee on Thursday, and while under oath, Ford opened her testimony saying, “My name is Christine Blasey Ford, I am a professor of psychology at Palo Alto University and a research psychologist at the Stanford University School of Medicine.”

The issue lies with the word “psychologist,” and Ford potentially misrepresenting herself and her credentials, an infraction that is taken very seriously in the psychology field as well as under California law.

Under California law, in order for a person to identify publicly as a psychologist they must be licensed by the California Board of Psychology, a process that includes 3,000 hours of post-doctoral professional experience and passing two rigorous exams. To call oneself a psychologist without being licensed by a state board is the equivalent of a law school graduate calling herself a lawyer without ever taking the bar exam.

According to records, Ford is not licensed in the state of California. A recent search through the Department of Consumer Affairs License Bureau, which provides a state-run database of all licensed psychologists in California, produced no results for any variation of spelling on Ford’s name. If Ford at one time had a license but it is now inactive, she would legally still be allowed to call herself a “psychologist” but forbidden from practicing psychology on patients until it was renewed. However, the database would have shown any past licenses granted to Ford, even if they were inactive.

“[the] European Union has gave a very bad answer because instead of concentrating on how to stop the migratory flows, [the] European Union concentrated on how to encourage and how to manage the flows. And this is basically a policy of invitation.”

“You’re Prince Henry,” said the teacher. “You’re going to tell Thomas why it’s a brilliant idea for him to marry you.”

This instruction was given to a class of six-year-olds, as they were told to write same-sex love letters, according to a BBC video. The indoctrination occurred in a British school, but it’s a glimpse into America’s future — that is, if the sexual devolutionaries continue to hold sway.

It’s in the region of Cheshire, England.

  27. Election machines used in more than half of U.S. states carry a flaw disclosed more than a decade ago that makes them vulnerable to a cyberattack, according to a report to be delivered Thursday on Capitol Hill.

The issue was found in the widely used Model 650 high-speed ballot-counting machine made by Election Systems & Software LLC, the nation’s leading manufacturer of election equipment. It is one of about seven security problems in several models of voting equipment described in the report, which is based on research conducted last month at the Def Con hacker conference.

The flaw in the ES&S machine stood out because it was detailed in a security report commissioned by Ohio’s secretary of state in 2007, said Harri Hursti, an election-security researcher who co-wrote both the Ohio and Def Con reports. “There has been more than plenty of time to fix it,” he said.

While the Model 650 is still being sold on the ES&S website, a company spokeswoman said it stopped manufacturing the systems in 2008. The machine doesn’t have the advanced security features of more-modern systems, but ES&S believes “the security protections on the M650 are strong enough to make it extraordinarily difficult to hack in a real world environment,” the spokeswoman said via email. The machines process paper ballots and can therefore be reliably audited, she said.
