    GIRARD, Ohio –
    According to Girard police, a 14-year-old girl has been reported missing.

    Pamela Laudermilt of Girard was last seen Friday.

    Her mother, Amy Laudermilt, told 21 News that her daughter called her Friday morning around 10:45 a.m. to let her know she had made it to the Girard Library on East Prospect Street.

    Less than an hour later, she was gone. The 8th grader was last seen at the library.

    Laudermilt went to the Girard Police Department Friday afternoon to report her daughter went missing.

    Laudermilt said the police department reviewed surveillance video from the library.

    “Taliban leaders are demanding closure of US bases in Afghanistan and release of hundreds of their prisoners for continuing peace talks with the United States, the US media reported on Saturday.

    Zalmay Khalilzad, a former US ambassador recently named as a special adviser for Afghanistan peace talks, arrived in the United Arab Emirates this week for the next round of US-Taliban talks, NBC News reported.

    The release of hundreds of Taliban-linked prisoners and the status of US bases in Afghanistan were among the key issues Taliban leaders want to negotiate in US-backed talks to end the war in Afghanistan.

    “This meeting with the US authorities would either help pave the way for more meaningful talks or stop them forever,” said one of the four senior Taliban officials who spoke to NBC News.

    Other US media outlets, however, reported that the Afghan government was unlikely to concede to the request without a commensurate concession from the Taliban.

    “The number of US bases maintained…is also a point of contention; the US wants two, but the Taliban want zero. The Taliban’s main `reason for war, their casus belli, if you will, is the occupation,” retired Col Christopher Kolenda, a former Pentagon adviser who has negotiated with the Taliban, explained in an interview with VOA.”

    The Twitter account added that “prominent lawyers, judges, academics, Muslim scholars, and media professionals” were among the detainees.

    It is noteworthy that there are detainees in the Kingdom who have been imprisoned for more than 10 years either under sentences approved by the court against them or without charges and judicial rulings.

    Since September 10, 2017, there have been hundreds of arrests in Saudi Arabia, despite human rights activists’ denunciation, and calls from international organisations such as Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International to immediately release detainees, and precedent calls to immediately disclose their whereabouts and allow them to communicate with their families and lawyers.

    In May, the arrests reached human rights activists and feminist activists. They were accused by authorities of having connections with foreign parties as a result of their activity on women’s rights.

    The 91-year-old woman suffered a brain injury, fracture to the right hand and injuries to her elbows and the back of her left hand. A wound on her back required eight stitches.

    Ahmed was identified due to being caught on CCTV and arrested afterwards.

    Ahmed sought asylum in Sweden in February 2017. On his application he stated he was born in May 2001 and originally from Gaza.

    However, when checking Ahmed’s fingerprints it was discovered that he had applied for asylum in Austria on 31 October 2015 and Denmark on 8 February 2017.

    In Austria the fingerprints have been assigned to a person named Hassan Rikfi, born 1 January 1998 and a citizen of Morocco, and in Denmark a person named Mostafa Lobya, born 3 March 2002 and a citizen of Syria.

    Ahmed stated during the trial that he was born on 3 March 2002 and from Gaza. The National Board of Medicines conducted a medical age assessment on Ahmed. The results of the studies – dental x-ray and femoral x-ray – showed that Ahmed is an adult.

    The Stockholm District Court is of the opinion that it is most likely that Ahmed at the time of the act was over 20 years

  14. Richard: Based on what has already happened and what has been said this is a repeat of the Clarence Thomas Anita Hill testimony. Remember at the time of the hearings the vast majority of people believed Justice Thomas, it wasn’t until after over a decade of propaganda by the leftist propaganda media that people started believing her. This looks to be another affair like that one, a she said he said affair with all of the supporting evidence on his side. Once he is confirmed the media will continue to work to destroy his reputation because that is what they do, they have to destroy everything about their political opponents. The only surprising thing about this attack is that it didn’t happen when Justice Gorsuch was being confirmed.

    A Belgian police officer received a knife wound to the head and his alleged attacker was shot and left in “serious condition” on Monday, Brussels police said.
    The incident took place in Maximilien Park, an area known as a gathering point for mainly North African immigrants hoping to head on to Britain, police spokeswoman Ilse Van Der Keere said.
    Van De Keere said that “the man attacked one of our colleagues with a knife” and that a second officer shot the attacker and “seriously wounded him” in the head and leg.

  20. Russian Communists say election stolen by pro-Putin candidate

    VLADIVOSTOK, Russia (Reuters) – Hundreds of Russian Communist Party supporters took to the central square of Vladivostok on Monday to protest against what they said was the rigging of a regional election in favor of a politician backed by President Vladimir Putin.

    With 95 percent of votes counted on Sunday night, Kremlin-backed United Russia incumbent Andrei Tarasenko was trailing his Communist rival by around 5 percent. But on Monday, the local election commission said Tarasenko had won by just over 1 percent, an unlikely turnaround that the Communists said was evidence of rigging.

    The scandal is awkward for Putin, who met Tarasenko a week ago and told him that “everything will be OK”. The comment was widely seen as a personal endorsement of Tarasenko, whom Putin appointed acting governor last year, at a time when Putin’s own ratings are under pressure from plans to raise the pension age.

    A week ago in the Primorsky Region, which includes the Pacific port of Vladivostok, 6,400 km (4,000 miles) east of Moscow, Tarasenko failed to pass the 50-percent threshold for an outright win.

    That, and three other reversals in elections to select regional governors, amounted to the worst showing for Kremlin-backed candidates since 2012. Though there is no immediate threat to the ruling United Russia Party’s grip on power, it suggests growing discontent over living standards.

    Communist candidate Andrei Ishchenko told a crowd of hundreds of people in central Vladivostok on Monday that the vote count had been rigged, and urged supporters to protest every evening until the result was overturned.

    “Following accusations from students, a professor at one of Sweden’s leading academic institutions has refused to back down from his confidence in biological differences between men and women, sticking to his belief that gender cannot be viewed as a social construct alone.

    Germund Hesslow, a professor of neurophysiology at Lund University, has been asked for an apology over “transphobic” and “anti-feminist” views inconsistent with the so-called “value base,” the Swedish website Academic Rights Watch reported.

    Hesslow has for many years held a course on “Heritage and Environment” at Lund University’s medical program. In his course, the professor cites empirical research supporting the notion that differences between men and women are biologically founded and cannot be regarded as “social constructs alone,” which comes in stark contrast to the trend dominant in gender studies.

    Following complaints from a feminist student, who found Hesslow’s course to be an expression “of his personal anti-feminist agenda,” Christer Larsson, the chairman of the program board for medical education, summoned Hesslow for a meeting within the management team. Hesslow was asked to “distance himself” from two of his claims: “Gay women have a male sexual orientation” and another one about transsexuality, “Whether it’s a sexual orientation is a matter of definition” — which he refused to do.

    “I think I have done enough to explain and defend my choice of words. At some point, one must ask for a sense of proportion among those involved. If it were to become acceptable for students to record lectures in order to find compromising formulations and then involve faculty staff with meetings and long letters, we should let go of the medical education altogether. The fact that the situation has gone this far is because most students do not have this attitude,” Hesslow wrote in his answer.

    Furthermore, Hesslow rejected accusations of having a “political agenda,” explaining that his only “agenda” was to let science permeate and steer all university proceedings.

    “Ideology, politics and prejudice form the conventional outlook, not science,” he pointed out.

    The so-called “value base” is a Swedish concept evolved in recent decades to describe a common ethical foundation of the society. In Sweden, all schools must comply with a common ethical foundation, which includes ideas such the sanctity of human life, individual freedom and integrity, egalitarianism and the equality of the sexes.

    Dating back to a Franciscan school founded in the 15th century, Lund University is Scandinavia’s oldest. It has an academic staff of about 5,000 lecturers and about 42,000 students and has consistently ranked among the world’s top 100 universities.”

    In order to incentivize Syrians temporary living in Norway to return home, the right-wing Progress Party (FrP), currently a junior member of the center-right coalition government (traditionally referred to as “blue” in Scandinavia), has proposed a system of voluntary return, national broadcaster NRK reported.

    As part of the “motivation pack” proposed by the FrP, each Syrian volunteer will receive NOK 20,000 ($2,200) in compensation, in addition to paid return.

    “Syria is in dire need of reconstruction, it needs its residents back. This measure will also help curb immigration pressure on Norway,” FrP immigration spokesman Jon Helgheim explained.

    According to the Immigration Directorate (UDI), 13,229 Syrians, who have arrived in Norway since 2011, have been granted residence permits.     The arbitrariness of susceptibility to social shaming rituals is what matters in the cases of political figures from John F. Kennedy to Bill Clinton, to Clarence Thomas, Tom DeLay, Barney Frank, Charlie Rangel, Roy Moore, Al Franken, Jim Jordan, Greg Pruitt, Keith Ellison, and Brett Kavanaugh.

    I’ve seen quite a few right-wing pundits in the last few days argue that the allegations against Roy Moore were a totally different issue from the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh. In Moore’s case, the accusers spoke out in public, and many right-wing observers found the allegations credible. In Kavanaugh’s case, we didn’t know the identity of the accuser for several days, she hadn’t spoken out in public, and many right-wing observers find the allegations non-credible. (Just today, 16 September, we’ve received a report from the Washington Post revealing her identity, and stating that they’ve had it since July.)

    For the record, I have found the allegations against Kavanaugh non-credible too. But I also thought the credibility of the allegations against Moore was severely compromised by the clearly orchestrated timing of their disclosure, and the fact that there was simply no way at this remove of time to ever prove anything in a court of law.

    A newspaper is “fake news” when it knowingly misleads its readers. A classic example is the Washington Post declaring the rabidly left-wing writer Jennifer Rubin to be conservative.

    Rubin writes the Post’s misleadingly named “Right Turn” column and blog. They are so named because they are supposedly written from a right-leaning rather than left-leaning perspective. Yet Rubin supports all manner of progressive or left-wing causes — such as backing massive increases in government spending and likening critics of the Supreme Court’s abortion decisions to Nazi collaborators. The Post falsely characterizes Rubin as conservative in order to stigmatize actual conservative views as beyond the pale. Its strategy is to depict Rubin’s left-leaning stances as those of a “mainstream” conservative, in order to make any actual conservative who disagrees with Rubin look like an extreme, far-right ultraconservative by comparison.

    The Constitution does not mention abortion or any right to have one. But the Supreme Court’s abortion decisions effectively create a right to abortion even in the late stages of pregnancy, if the abortion provider says an abortion would promote the “emotional or psychological well-being” of the woman seeking the late-term abortion (the so-called “health-of-the-mother” exception recognized in Doe v. Bolton (1973)). Even pro-abortion liberal legal scholars such as Harvard’s John Hart Ely questioned the legal basis of these decisions at the time.

    Using any despicable tactic at hand to derail Judge Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court confirmation less than a week before the Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to vote on whether to approve his nomination, Senate Democrats have sunk to their lowest level of character assassination yet. They have resorted to peddling an allegation of sexual misconduct against Judge Kavanaugh that supposedly occurred while the judge was in high school. The accuser had refused to identify herself before and during the Senate Judiciary Committee hearings. She conveniently waited until this Sunday to come forward via an on-the-record interview with the Washington Post. The accuser’s name is Christine Blasey Ford, a registered Democrat who is currently a California professor teaching clinical psychology.

    Judge Kavanaugh issued a statement on Friday in which he said, “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”

    Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee that heard Judge Kavanaugh’s public testimony earlier this month during his Supreme Court confirmation hearing, had received last July a copy of a letter written by the woman making the charge, who we now know was Ms. Ford. Even though Senator Feinstein had the letter in hand, she never brought up the charge during the public hearing, nor during her own meeting with the judge. Instead, Senator Feinstein sat on the letter until late last week, when she issued a cryptic release stating that she had received the letter but did not want to give more details in deference to the woman’s wish to keep the matter confidential. Senator Feinstein turned the letter over to the FBI. The FBI placed the letter in its background file on Judge Kavanaugh but decided not to pursue any further investigation. Senator Feinstein had initially resisted sharing the contents of the letter with her fellow Democrat members of the Senate Judiciary Committee or to go public with its existence because “the incident was too distant in the past to merit public discussion” and she had already “taken care of it,” according to a source quoted by The New Yorker. Nevertheless, Senator Feinstein evidently bowed to pressure from her leftist colleagues to find a way to insert the allegation into the cesspool of public gossip at the eleventh hour.

    Last week California Senator Dianne Feinstein kept confidential the individual who claimed to have been sexually assaulted by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh more than 30 years ago. On Sunday, the accuser came out of the closet in classic style.

    Christine Blasey Ford, a professor of psychology at Palo Alto University in California, is an activist Democrat, who in June signed a letter denouncing President Trump’s border policy. The ACLU used the letter in a lawsuit against the Trump administration. Ford told the Washington Post she had been attacked by four individuals from an unnamed “elitist boys school.” The four attackers were all now “highly respected and high-ranking members of society in Washington.”

    The attack occurred at a private residence but Ford did not recall who owned the house or how she got there. On the other hand, she did recall that Brett Kavanaugh and his friend Mark Judge were “stumbling drunk” when Kavanaugh tried to remove her clothes and put his hand over her mouth.

    “I thought he might inadvertently kill me,” Ford told the Post. “He was trying to attack me and remove my clothing.” The attack left her with “anguish and terror about retaliation,” and “derailed me substantially for four or five years.” And so on, like the bogus University of Virginia rape story in Rolling Stone. For some observers the smear job on Kavanaugh may recall the 1991 hearings for Clarence Thomas.

    The attackers threw firebombs at the house of worship forcing dozens of Jewish teens to take refuge in the cellar while waiting for the police.

    The synagogue was already protected by heavy concrete barricades and bulletproof doors. A frail Star of David hangs over the formidable stone building made more so by added barriers and defenses against terrorist attacks. A quarter of the membership fees for the congregants go to cover security costs.

    Three years earlier, the Rabbi had received a threat in broken Swedish warning, “Soon will come the time when the Gothenburg synagogue will be destroyed to the ground with you inside, and then you too, you pig, will be killed in the eternal fire.”

    The police only caught three of the attackers. All three were refugees, one from Syria and two others claimed to be, “Palestinians”. Instead of being sent to prison for arson, they were only convicted of vandalism. Two had residence permits while the third, a Gazan, had his asylum application denied.

  44. Republicans push to give your savings account a tax cut

    House Republicans, having cut taxes on business income and individual earnings, are now looking to cut them on savings, through new universal savings accounts.

    The House GOP attached the accounts, allowing individuals to save up to $2,500 annually on a tax-privileged basis, to what they are calling “Tax Reform 2.0″ — a permanent extension of the individual-side tax cuts included in the December tax law.

    House Republicans advanced the legislation through the Ways and Means Committee last week. The legislative package isn’t expected to reach President Trump’s desk this year, but the inclusion of the savings accounts sets up a future GOP Congress to enact them and transform the way Americans save.

    A top Israeli military and energy official has questioned Israel and China’s growing economic ties just as a Chinese company is set to begin operating Haifa Port as part of a major 25-year contract previously struck in 2015.

    “When China acquires ports,” Israeli Brigadier General Shaul Horev began in an interview this week with national news source, Arutz Sheva, “it does so under the guise of maintaining a trade route from the Indian Ocean via the Suez Canal to Europe, such as the port of Piraeus in Greece. Does an economic horizon like this have a security impact?”

    Gen. Horev, who has also served as navy chief of staff and chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission, continued to sound the alarm over a Chinese takeover, “We are not weighing that possibility sufficiently. One of the senior American figures at the conference raised the question of whether the U.S. Sixth Fleet can see Haifa as a home port. In light of the Chinese takeover, the question is no longer on the agenda.”

    He is calling for an Israeli security mechanism that that will review and scrutinize Chinese investments in Israel and the Mediterranean to ensure they don’t harm the security interests of Israel or its partners, like the United States.

    It’s true that Bill Clinton’s liberal ’90s apologists justified his sexual misconduct with the claim “character doesn’t matter.” It nonetheless does, and since Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hopes are being influenced by accusations that may speak to his character, it’s only fair to examine the character of his accuser. And this woman, Palo Alto University psychology professor Christine Blasey Ford, is a radical social justice warrior.

    Ford’s accusation goes back to her high school days, in approximately 1982, when she would have been 15 and Kavanaugh 17. She claims that Kavanaugh lay on top of her and groped her while heavily intoxicated and that the incident ended when a friend of his, Mark Judge, jumped on both of them, sending them all tumbling (you can read a more thorough account here).

    Whatever the truth of the matter, however, certainly true is that Ford is a radical leftist who’d be inclined to zealously oppose a Kavanaugh nomination. For example, Breitbart reports that she not only has attended anti-Trump events, but actually donned a pink “brain p—- hat” for a 2017 anti-Trump march.

  48. That Judge Who Ordered Trump To Keep DACA? SCOTUS Overturned His Immigration Rulings

    Judge William Alsup of the federal district court in San Francisco, Calif., ordered the Trump administration to continue administering the Deferred Actions for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program late Tuesday.

    Just two weeks ago, the Supreme Court overturned one of Alsup’s orders in a DACA-related controversy.

    Alsup, a President Bill Clinton appointee, is presiding over the University of California’s (UC) legal challenge to DACA’s termination. UC’s chancellor is Janet Napolitano, the former secretary of homeland security who presided over DACA’s promulgation during the Obama administration.

    In connection with that litigation, the judge issued a sweeping discovery order in October 2017 requiring the Trump administration to furnish all documents relating to DACA’s cancellation. The government previously provided some 250 records concerning its decision, but UC argued such a decision would have generated a larger body of work. The Department of Justice (DOJ) countered that many of those documents, like internal correspondence between federal officials, were subject to privilege.

    “DANISH politicians from all sides are considering controversial new integration policies to bring immigrant communities into society – by force if necessary – just weeks after the country introduced a burka ban.

    Recent government proposals to be finalised by parliament over the next few weeks target Denmark’s so-called “ghetto neighbourhoods” with a series of sanctions and incentives which have been given enthusiastic backing by the left-leaning opposition.

    Under the proposals, children living in the targeted areas would be required by law to attend daycare for 25 hours a week to make sure they learn Danish and the country’s values and customs.

    Immigrant families who take their children back to their countries of origin for long periods could face prison or deportation and crimes committed in the neighbourhoods would carry heavier sentences.

    The measures are expected to be fully approved with a large parliamentary majority and have the support of the largest opposition party, the left-wing Danish Social Democrats.

    Danish Social Democrats’ spokesman on immigration and integration, Mattias Tesfaye, said: “We tried to negotiate this to be more draconian.

    “We think the government has been soft on this.”

    The Social Democrats recently overhauled their political agenda and came up with a “Together for Denmark” manifesto which adopts much of the language of the anti-immigration right.

    The policy describes “parallel societies” where “foreigners and their descendants live, isolated from the Danish community and with values that are not Danish” and calls them “unacceptable.”

    In addition to throwing its support behind the plan, the party has supported the government in allowing the jewelry and valuables of asylum seekers to be seized by authorities in payment for their reception, and in banning face veils.

    Mr Tesfaye, whose father was an Ethiopian refugee, said: “Why should the social democratic position be we should leave people alone, and leave the right with the argument that we have to have a common cultural background?”

    “It should be a core issue for social democratic parties to break down these parallel societies and make sure we all belong to each other.

    “We have to be very explicit. We have to say for example: We need you to support a secular state where there’s a religious freedom, and where the common rules of society are supported by secular arguments.

    “We need you to make sure your children learn Danish. We need you to live not just in one place where all the refugees are.”

    He insisted the proposals are necessary to defend the welfare state and said people can only be asked to pay up to 53 percent in income tax for health, education and a safety net if they feel part of a common unit with their fellow citizens.

    A ban on the wearing of face veils in public came into force in Denmark last month.

    The country’s parliament passed the controversial law in May when it joined France and other EU countries in what some politicians say is upholding secular and democratic values.”

    New York law enforcement officials charged 19-year-old Adwoa Lewis with making a false punishable written statement on Saturday after she falsely accused four Trump-supporting teenagers of slashing her tires and leaving her a note that told her to “go home.”

    Lewis gave Nassau County police a written statement on Friday claiming to be the victim of a hate crime which she said happened while “she was driving home in Long Island September 2 when four teens confronted her,” the Daily Mail reported.
