  2. Terror suspects ‘planned driverless car bomb blast’ (express, Sep 5, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/1013130/terror-suspects-planned-driverless-car-bomb-blast-explosives

“A PAIR of Islamic State-inspired asylum seekers planned to carry out bomb attacks using driverless cars packed with explosives, a court heard yesterday.

The men were arrested just six days before Christmas last year, with officers fearing they were set to carry out their atrocities in the “near future”.

Iraqi Kurd Andy Star, 32, who snuck into Britain illegally a decade ago, transformed a flat above a chip shop he ran into a bomb factory, the jury was told.

The flat became a base where Star and fellow countryman Farhad Salah, 23, set about preparing their attacks, it was said. Sheffield Crown Court was told how Star applied for asylum in 2008 when the authorities became aware of his illegal presence in the country and that, in 2010, he was granted indefinite leave to remain.

He subsequently established a takeaway business, running The Mermaid fish bar in Chesterfield. He lived in an upstairs flat.

Salah arrived in the UK in 2014 and sought asylum, which had still not been determined when he was arrested at the Fatima Community Centre in Sheffield, where he was living, on the same day as Star last December.

During her opening speech, prosecutor Anne Whyte QC read out a message, sent by Salah shortly before his arrest, in which he told a contact: “My only attempt is to find a way to carry out martyrdom operation with cars without driver. ..”

  3. The following video…I had posted it here a few days back.

It is the song ‘Seven Nation Army’ by The White Stripes, set to a video montage from a historical documentary about the Crusades against the Islamic invaders of Europe. Winged Hussars, the whole beautiful bit. It started out with an inspirational quote about them having to do this so that their children may grow up free to believe in Jesus Christ.

I guess this has just become yet another ‘hate fact’….I cannot seem to find it any more!

Kirsten McDonnell posted an open letter on Facebook Sunday, warning of what she thinks was the attempted kidnapping of her youngest son.

McDonnell writes her son was “standing about 7 feet in front of me and the woman did not see me and apparently assumed the parents weren’t around. She then proceeded to place her hand on my son’s back and move him towards the entrance/exit.“

The Facebook note adds “seconds later she bent down to pick my son up but by that time I was more than half way to my son and scooped him from her hands.”

  6. When students in Abbotsford, B.C. head back to school on Tuesday, Shelly Beyak’s children won’t be among them.

That’s because eight-year-old Liam and nine-year-old Mia are with their father, Wissam Tarabichi, who is facing criminal charges for allegedly spiriting the kids away to his home country of Lebanon without permission back in March.

Beyak has been involved in a draining and frustrating fight to get them back ever since, without a single opportunity to see or speak with them.

    PHOTOS
    Liam and Mia
Abbotsford, B.C. resident Shelly Beyak has been trying to get her children Liam and Mia back to Canada since March, when their dad allegedly took them to his home country of Lebanon.

If given the chance, Beyak told CTV News she would want to tell her children “that I love them.”

“If they ever see this, I want them to know that I’m going to die trying to get them home,” Beyak pledged.

She and Tarabichi met in Lebanon back in 2006, while she was working and travelling overseas. They married the next year, had Liam and Mia, then moved to Canada in 2010.

But they were divorced and sharing custody of their children when Tarabichi allegedly abducted them earlier this year.

“The kids spent half the time with him, half the time with me. It was really equal,” Beyak said.

The last time she saw her children was March 24, when her ex-husband took them to the U.S. for what was supposed to be a spring break vacation. She first realized something was wrong when the children’s school, Ecole Margaret Stenersen, called to tell her Liam and Mia hadn’t returned to class on April 3.

Whether it’s being an unapologetic supporter of Capitalism, standing during the national anthem, refusing to blame America for all the world problems, believing Karl Marx was wrong, or simply disagreeing with the notion that America was never great. The fastest way to guarantee a bad review for a television show or movie…be patriotic.

That is what John Krasinski’s Amazon Prime show Jack Ryan is guilty of according to Vanity Fair writer Sonia Saraiya who says “Watching this show feels like falling down a Fox News rabbit hole.”

Note: Finished the 1st season tonight. Need to think about it before I say much but my first impressions are…

They married the plots from several different books/timelines very well and seamlessly, if, at times, predictably. Jack is not perfectly canon, but is believable.

Greer…don’t get me started on Greer. I guess they had to toss a few bones to the PC cult to get this made, I get it.

And though he is not explicitly named in the 1st season, I really do hope we see more of John Clarke’s character in Season 2. Though, with the changes in the timelines of the plot, this might get interesting and he might become an amalgam…still, his backstory is compelling and I do hope they preserve it as best as possible.

    Overall – worth watching.

The 49 page document outlines plans by Soros to exert his influence, via his immense personal wealth, to pressure Big Tech to censor and purge pro-Trump journalists, citizens and outlets ahead of the next Presidential election.

“A confidential, 49-page memo for defeating Trump by working with the major social-media platforms to eliminate “right wing propaganda and fake news” was presented in January 2017 by Media Matters founder David Brock at a retreat in Florida with about 100 donors, the Washington Free Beacon reported at the time.

The document obtained by The Free Beacon states that Media Matters and other Soros funded groups have “access to raw data from Facebook, Twitter, and other social media sites” so they can “systemically monitor and analyze this unfiltered data.”

Wakingtimes.com reports: The full confidential memo, which reads like a subversive political manifesto, was written by American liberal political activist and author, David Brock, also the founder of Media Matters for America.

  10. Police have arrested six people in connection with the gang rape and murder of a nine-year-old girl in Indian-administered Kashmir.

Officials said the girl’s stepmother told her son, 14, and three others to rape the victim in her presence.

They said the girl’s body was found on Sunday in a jungle in Baramulla district. She was tortured and her body was burnt with acid, they added.

The stepmother was allegedly upset as the girl was her father’s favourite.

Police told BBC Urdu that the girl had been missing for 10 days before they found her body.

“It was found that the stepmother had been nursing a grudge against the second wife of her husband, and her children,” the NDTV news website quoted senior police officer Mir Imtiyaz Hussain as saying.

  12. Brazil’s museum fire
There have been no injuries reported after an enormous fire gutted Rio de Janeiro’s National Museum on Sunday, but the toll was still immense. Officials suggested as much as 90 percent of the museum’s collection — encompassing about 20 million objects — was destroyed by the blaze.

Some of the museum’s treasures may have survived, including the remains of Luzia, an 11,500-year-old fossil believed to be the oldest human skeleton unearthed in the Americas. But the fire probably consumed countless other pieces of Brazil’s patrimony: dinosaur bones, ancient mummies, recordings of extinct indigenous languages, myriad artifacts that predated the arrival of Europeans and even temple frescoes removed from the Roman city of Pompeii and transported across the Atlantic. Their graceful images of peacocks and coiled dragons withstood the eruption of Mount Vesuvius two millennia ago, but they may now be lost.

global-tragedy-300×278 Brazil’s museum fire is a global tragedy

Curators and academics are struggling to come to terms with the scale of the disaster. For some, it meant the disintegration of a career. “In terms of [my] life-long research agenda, I’m pretty much lost,” said Marcus Guidoti, a Brazilian entomologist, to National Geographic. The museum’s collection of lace bugs — the world’s largest — and the rest of its 5 million arthropod specimens were all probably destroyed.

For others, it means an immeasurable blow to Brazil’s cultural memory.

During a ‘90s party in the Frosch club two Syrians started provoking and harassing guests, club operator Dirk Schöbe tells newspaper the Berliner Morgenpost.

According to unanimous statements by the police and the prosecutor’s office, two Syrians initially started a row in the club with party guests, especially with one German.

At first, the two men left the club after the dispute, but returned in no time with friends and acquaintances to the club. According to police, ten people were found armed with iron bars and knives.

  14. Italian populist Interior Minister Matteo Salvini has unloaded on German Chancellor Angela Merkel, saying she totally underestimated the social conflict consequences of her mass migration policies.
The League leader singled out the German Chancellor on Monday, not long after blasting French President Emmanuel Macron, saying, “It is true that in recent years she has underestimated the risk of social conflict by claiming that there is room for hundreds of thousands of these people in Germany,” Kronen Zeitung reports.

Reacting to the recent protests in the eastern German city of Chemnitz, which came after a local man had been brutally stabbed to death, allegedly by asylum seekers, Salvini commented, “I can remember what happened on that New Year’s Eve in Cologne and elsewhere,” referencing the mass sex attacks on New Year’s Eve 2015/16.

“But the German government underestimated the problem for years. The rise of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) is a clear reaction to it. That’s the answer many dissatisfied Germans try to give,” he added.

The comments follow those of populist Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš who said that “Chemnitz is around the corner” if Europe does not stem the flow of mass migration adding that it could even be a “threat to European civilisation.”

  18. Amid ‘bloodbath’ fears, US warns Assad against using chemical weapons

    GENEVA (AFP) –

With the United Nations warning of a potential “bloodbath” in Syria’s Idlib province, the United States warned President Bashar al-Assad on Tuesday it would respond “swiftly and appropriately” if he uses chemical weapons against his own people.

As Syrian troops massed near the northwestern region of nearly three million people, the last major rebel stronghold, renewed Russian airstrikes killed at least nine civilians, according to a violence monitor.

Nikki Haley, the US ambassador to the United Nations, said the UN Security Council would meet on Friday to discuss the precarious situation in the province.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned that dropping bombs and missiles on Syria’s last rebel-held province of Idlib could cause a “massacre,” in remarks published Wednesday.

“God forbid, a serious massacre could take place if there is a rain of missiles there,” Erdogan told journalists on his plane after an official visit to the Central Asian state of Kyrgyzstan, Hurriyet daily reported.

His comments come as Syrian troops mass near the northwestern region of Idlib for a major assault that is raising fears of a humanitarian catastrophe on a scale not yet seen in the seven-year-old conflict.

Damascus and its main backer Moscow have vowed to root out the jihadist groups that dominate Idlib province.

Russia, an ally of President Bashar al-Assad’s regime, on Tuesday resumed air strikes on Idlib after a 22-day pause.

By LU Staff September 4, 2018

Some of the protesting done before and during the Senate hearing for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh on Tuesday was elaborately orchestrated by activists. Although the mock “Handmaids” who showed up for one vivid display presumably had their costumes already (and have probably worn them before, in numerous venues), they did have to don their attire and make prior arrangements.

The Democratic senators who protested with interruptions and bloviating screeds against the proceedings had clearly made their preparations in advance.

  24. Why Asian-Americans became the face of opposition to affirmative action
By Benny Huang September 4, 2018

Following last week’s Justice Department decision to join a group of Asian-Americans in a civil rights lawsuit against Harvard University the online newspaper Vox rushed to post an article from an Asian-American, Alvin Chang, who seems to enjoy getting the short end of the stick.

Chang’s point, if you can call it that, is that only really bad people see affirmative action as harmful. He recounts an episode during an SAT prep class in which he first encountered resentment among Asian-Americans toward discriminatory affirmative action policy.

“During a snack break, another Asian kid in the class said to me, ‘You know we have to do better than even the white kids, right?’ I had never heard affirmative action framed that way — as a ‘bonus’ for black and brown people and a ‘penalty’ for white and especially Asian people.”

Well, he should have heard affirmative action described that way because that’s exactly what it is. The other fellow in his prep course was obviously a whole lot more world-wise than Chang and yet we’re supposed to see him as borderline racist.

By Daily Caller News Foundation September 4, 2018

An alleged source for the Steele dossier is seeking $1 million in an online fundraiser to combat “the Deep State” and “fake news consortium.”

Sergei Millian, a Belarusian-American businessman, set up the fundraiser on GoFundMe.

“Most of the pertinent details stay hidden from public view by a well-organized campaign of disinformation, twisting facts, and/or purely inaccurate reporting,” Millian wrote in a vaguely worded pitch that does not mention the dossier.

Millian has been identified as a source for some of the most salacious allegations made in the dossier, which was written by former British spy Christopher Steele and funded by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee (DNC). As “Source D” and “Source E” in the dossier, Millian is behind the claim that the Kremlin has blackmail material on President Donald Trump. According to the recent book “Russian Roulette,” Millian unwittingly spoke to a source who was working for Steele as part of his investigation into Trump’s ties to Russia.

  27. Germans Shocked as Police Drop Case After Berlin Boy Raped by Afghan Classmate (sputniknews, Sep 5, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201809051067760752-police-driop-case-afghan-boy-rape/

“The German media and public are outraged by a bizarre case of juvenile brutality, in which a boy from Afghanistan sexually abused and raped his classmate from a Berlin elementary school…

Police said that the three perpetrators will escape legal punishment because in Germany, no person can be tried for an offence committed while under the age of 14…”

    • ‘Too young to prosecute’: German police drop case of 10yo Afghan boy who raped classmate

German authorities have dropped a case in which a 10-year-old Afghan boy raped a classmate during a school trip while Syrian and Afghan accomplices held him down, as the perpetrators are apparently not old enough to be tried.

The incident began when 38 students from a Berlin school went on a field trip to Schloss Kröchlendorff, a castle in Nordwestuckermark, Germany. The students were supposed to have a fun day out enjoying nature – but that wasn’t possible for everyone.

The day turned horrific for a 10-year-old boy, who was told by the perpetrators: “We f**k you today!” A total of three boys ganged up on the victim; an Afghan and a Syrian, both aged 11, held him down while a 10-year-old Afghan boy sexually abused and raped him, according to the Berliner Zeitung.

Two other classmates saw the incident unfold, but did not notify any teachers. It was not until a week-and-a-half later that a friend of the victim told a social worker at school what had occurred.

After the rape became known, the school informed parents and police. The perpetrators were suspended from school.

But now authorities have dropped the case, stating that the boys are simply too young to be tried in the justice system since they are not at least 14 years of age.

The best that can apparently be done is to stop the main perpetrator from attending a normal school with other students. “We want to exhaust all legal possibilities that the main perpetrator does not attend regular school, but experiences special schooling,” a spokeswoman for the Berlin School Administration said on Monday, as quoted by the Berliner Zeitung. The two boys that held the victim down are now attending schools in other districts.

The disturbing case comes as anti-immigrant sentiments continue to boil in Germany. Such feelings have been on the rise since the 2015 refugee crisis which saw the country take in over one million asylum seekers.

It also comes amid violent clashes between anti-immigrant protesters and counter-protesters, after a 35-year-old German was fatally stabbed by suspects identified as Afghan and Syrian nationals in the city of Chemnitz.

There are so many organized crime families – from Lebanon alone ! – they’d submit competitive bids to take this animal out.

Could be set up from anywhere in the world, paid by hawala, identities shielded, easy-peasy. Lebanese mafia is the only one I know it for a fact; other tribals probably work along similar lines.

No warning, no body, the target just disappears. That’s the cheapest, simplest option.

  28. US demonstrates ‘subtle desire’ to rescue terrorists in Idlib, Syria – Russian FM Lavrov (RT, Sep 5, 2018)
    https://www.rt.com/news/437646-us-rescue-terrorists-idlib/

“Washington has never delivered on its promise to separate the so-called ‘moderate’ Syrian opposition from the terrorists, and once again seems to be trying to get Al-Nusra off the hook in Idlib, Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said.

“The de-escalation zone in Idlib remains the only one where tens of thousands of extremists are concentrated, spearheaded by Jabhat al-Nusra,” Lavrov told Russia’s Channel One. “Our partners, including American, kept reassuring us that they would ensure the separation of the so-called moderate opposition from the terrorists.”

“We don’t want the repetition of the failures, including by the Obama administration, which had sworn and signed under its obligation to separate moderates from terrorists, but failed to do so. Now we are witnessing the same subtle desire, if I understand the situation correctly, to get al-Nusra off the hook.”

Moscow has repeatedly alerted the international community to the dangers of terrorist factions operating in and around Idlib, and that they are being supplied with weapons and munitions from abroad. For the past several weeks, the Russian Defense Ministry has been warning about the militants’ plans to stage a fake chemical attack in Idlib to frame the Syrian government.

The case of Syria’s northwestern province remains an issue of “special concern” for Russia, Syria, and Turkey, Kremlin Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said earlier, commenting on a “warning” by US President Donald Trump. Leaders from Russia, Iran, and Turkey are scheduled to meet on Friday in Tehran to discuss the strategy for Idlib.”

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6133495/Stab-gangs-violent-drill-music-videos-online-begin-life-sentences.html

“Violent ‘drill’ music videos that were blamed for a gang murder are still being screened on YouTube, it emerged today.

The rap films, called ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Supplying’, were made in the name of a drugs gang and posted ahead of them hacking to death a college student who is thought to have stood up to them.

Victim Sait Mboob, 18, a business studies student, was hunted down, hit with a stolen car and stabbed eight times with machetes by a ten-strong masked mob.

The murder happened just six days after one of the professionally-shot music videos was uploaded to YouTube by members of Manchester-based 7M.

Their films glorified violence and drug dealing using the city’s ‘Gunchester’ tag with lyrics to a third video, ‘Hammer’s Up’, bragging: ‘This is the life you chose, stick the road, stick to the code – if you get hit then you won’t get up.’

The music videos made a year ago were played during a gangland trial at Manchester Crown Court in which eight young men including seven teenagers aged 16 to 19 were convicted this week of murdering Mr Mboob in August last year…”
