This woman’s shrill and whiney-assed, ill-tempered, lunacy needs to be kept light-years away from America’s legal bench. She may be well-informed and eloquent, but her snarly-a$$ed attitude about whatever approach to how America manages much-calmer legal issues really doesn’t need her strident pissing and moaning.
Most people don’t have a clue about the way the U.S. Supreme Court works. It has the greatest long-term impact of the three branches of govt. It’s not celebrity baseball: ridiculous choices could be ruinous.
Ideologues don’t belong there. Its mandate is for serious scholars of Constitutional law, who measure each case according to that template. Precedent has weight, but much depends on how the judges sort it out in consultation with each other.
It’s a living thing. The individuals themselves change philosophically over the span of the decades during which they might serve. We can only screen for those who understand their Constitutional mandate, demonstrate intellectual integrity, and then we pray for G-d’s grace.

Bless your precious, sensible soul, dear yucki. Sadly, Ronald Reagan (with psycho First Lady, Nancy) was one of the first CIC’s to make US politics into a process of popular consensus.
American presidents are provided with a (first) term of four years for a specific reason. Within that time-span, they are given a window of opportunity to enact what might be (however unpopular) political legislation which fulfills their own particular agendas.

Again, dear yucki,, Vlad Tepes Blog is all-the-richer for having a studied mind like yours attending to sorting out this endless swirl of prop wash that’s being passed off as meaningful information.
Flotsam, jetsam, come-and-get-some (hat tip: Perfectchild) if you are stupid enough to pay real money for cable television and ecktually watch it… place comment >here<.
She can sound like Daffy Duck for all I care as long as she nails it.
It boils down to how a country treats its capital. Savings for investment is sacrosanct. Without it a country fails. Socialism destroys capital and at the very least makes it feel less welcome. My similar comment can be found below under yesterday’s Trudeau post.
Same old technique. Get the minorities, useless people or unadapted to real live persons (and criminals) to support your ideas and using force impose communism on majority. Make them believe they will make the rules and you have a new army. This is how Soviet Union was created.
Judge J should be appointed to the US Supreme Court.

Eh?
She would be good on the Supreme Court but probably couldn’t get the consent of the Senate, the same with Judge Napatilanto
