This shows that anything can become a weapon in the hands of someone who knows anything is a weapon. Look at how all of the various weapons control laws have worked out, they all fail because everything from a pencil to a 10 ton truck is a weapon. Instead of calling them weapons control laws we should call them want the are, victim disarmament laws. I am 71 and would have a hard time defending my self from young predators without a weapon of some kind. The less dedicated the weapon is (was it designed to be a weapon) the quicker you have to resort to lethal force. This is one of the great problems with the victim disarmament laws is that the victims have to resort to lethal force much faster and thus stand a much greater chance of being charged with murder. One of our natural rights is the right of self defense. Governments that try to take this natural right away are trying to make serfs or slaves of their people. Governments that try to make serfs or slaves of their people are evil and need to be changed to governments that protect their people and the rights of their people.

“Sociologist Henrik Dahl has called the consequences of mass immigration from the Middle East an “existential threat” and ventured that Denmark will no longer be Protestant by 2050 unless the influx from that particular area is slowed down or throttled completely.
In his opinion piece published in the Berlingske daily, Henrik Dahl stressed that it would be a mistake to indiscriminately portray immigration as such as an existential threat, yet warned against “Mid-Easternization” of Denmark and called for keeping immigration from that area minimal.
Dahl lifted the renowned football club Aalborg BK, which today is seen as part of Danish culture, as a positive example of immigration, as it was founded by British engineers laying the Jutland railway.
On the other hand, Dahl pointed out, the influx of migrants from the Greater Middle East (GME) is fraught with economic and societal difficulties.
Earlier this year, the Finance Ministry estimated the annual cost of non-Western immigration at a whopping DKK 33 billion ($5.2 billion) until 2100.

At present, the percentage of Muslims in Denmark is estimated at about 5 percent. By contrast, neighboring Sweden has one of Europe’s highest proportions of Muslims at 8.1% (on par with France, Belgium and the Netherlands). According to Dahl, parallel societies, radicalization, crime and anti-Semitism are the regrettable downside of Muslim immigration.
A jump in the GME population percentage from five to ten percent, Dahl, pointed out, would lead to a repetition of the Swedish, French, Belgian and Dutch experiences, which are major, but locally contained problems in maintaining law and order, as well as compromises in freedom of expression, freedom of religion and assembly and modern rights, including sexual rights.
“A society with a GME population of 10 percent will have the average behavior and look very similar to ours. It will only be characterized by ‘heavy security decisions’ with guards, surveillance, bollards in pedestrian streets and so forth,” Dahl wrote.
The problem is that even if Europe completely sealed off its borders tomorrow, the share of the population of Mid-Eastern origin would continue to rise, Dahl pointed out. At the current rate, every third Swedish citizen will have a GME-background by 2050, compared with 16 percent in Denmark.
“The existential threat begins at about 15 percent,” Dahl argued. Afterwards, a Scandinavian country will cease to be Lutheran, becoming a “Mid-Easternized,” with essential political, cultural and religious concessions granted to the Muslim population.
Unlike other European states, Denmark is not a secular state by definition, as it has preserved a link between the Lutheran Church and the state. As of today, 75 percent of the population are members of the Church of Denmark, which is Protestant in classification and Lutheran in orientation.

“That’s why we need comparable asylum standards in Europe. We need uniform procedures at the European external borders. And the European border management agency Frontex has to become in the medium term a real European border police with European competencies.
“This means that the European border police must have the right to act independently at the external borders,” she insisted.
The EU is working to “promote legal forms of migration [from the third world], in particular for study or training or as part of skilled labour immigration”, as well as “working on [developing] a Marshall Plan for Africa”, Merkel told FAS.
“Above all, it’s about [creating] more development opportunities for people in their countries of origin. Only by improving the prospects of young people in these countries can we permanently [solve the migrant crisis],” she said of Brussels’ plans to spend vast sums of money on Africa.
The German Chancellor’s proposals for EU reform seem to bear a striking resemblance to some of those laid out by George Soros last week in a speech entitled “How to Save Europe”.
Like Merkel, the globalist billionaire also advocated that “member states should not be forced to accept refugees they don’t want”, while calling for more legal migration channels from the third world and for Brussels to police external borders so as to ensure the continent can never become “Fortress Europe”.

WASHINGTON, June 4 (Reuters) – President Donald Trump’s former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, who has been indicted by U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller, attempted to tamper with potential witnesses, Mueller said in a court filing on Monday.
Mueller, who is investigating possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, asked the judge overseeing the case in U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to revoke or revise an order releasing Manafort ahead of his trial.
Manafort was released to home confinement after his arraignment in October.

Iran tells UN it will hike uranium enrichment capacity
Iran has notified the International Atomic Energy Agency that it has launched a plan to increase its uranium enrichment capacity, nuclear chief Ali Akbar Salehi said Tuesday.
“If conditions allow, maybe tomorrow night at Natanz, we can announce the opening of the centre for production of new centrifuges” for uranium enrichment, said Salehi, a vice president and head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organisation, according to conservative news agency Fars.
“What we are doing does not violate the (2015 nuclear) agreement,” he said, adding that a letter was submitted to the IAEA “yesterday regarding the start of certain activities”.
He specified that this was just the start of the production process and “does not mean that we will start assembling the centrifuges”.
Under the 2015 agreement, Iran can build parts for the centrifuges as long as it does not put them into operation within the first decade.
Salehi also emphasised that these moves “do not mean the negotiations (with Europe) have failed.”
European governments have been trying to salvage the agreement ever since the United States announced its withdrawal last month and said it would reimpose sanctions on foreign companies working in the Islamic republic by November.

The US Navy Is Developing Mothership Drones for Coastal Defense
The service is looking to accelerate the way it buys, builds and drills drones and robotic ships.
The U.S. Navy and researchers from Florida Atlantic University are developing robotic boats that can launch aerial and sub drones to protect U.S. coastal waters.
“Our focus will be on developing a multi-vehicle system that can safely and reliably navigate coastal waters with a high level of autonomy while performing assigned tasks,” Manhar Dhanak, director of SeaTech, the Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering in FAU’s Department of Ocean and Mechanical Engineering, said in a press release.
The FAU researchers will develop new software tools for better sensing and collision avoidance as well as to allow the ship “to serve as a docking station” and power sub and air drones that latch onto it, according to a statement from the university. One aspect of the effort is developing software to help the surface vessel obtain a clear picture not just of obstacles to avoid but also friendly and hostile elements in the area, to help it better plan routes and paths for different missions.

A U.S. warship passage, should it happen, could be seen in Taiwan as a fresh sign of support by President Donald Trump after a series of Chinese military drills around the self-ruled island. China claims Taiwan as part of its territory.
U.S. officials told Reuters that the United States had already examined plans for an aircraft carrier passage once this year but ultimately did not pursue them, perhaps because of concerns about upsetting China.
The last time a U.S. aircraft carrier transited the Taiwan Strait was in 2007, during the administration of George W. Bush, and some U.S. military officials believe a carrier transit is overdue.
Another, less provocative option would be resuming the periodic, but still infrequent, passages by other U.S. Navy ships through the Strait, the last of which was in July 2017.

U.S. pushes NATO to ready more forces to deter Russian threat
BRUSSELS/WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States is pressing European allies to ready more NATO battalions, ships and planes for combat, officials say, in a fresh move to shore up NATO’s deterrence against a potential Russian attack.
U.S. Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis will seek broad agreement for the plan in Brussels on Thursday when alliance defense ministers meet, laying the ground for endorsement by NATO leaders at a summit in July, four U.S. and NATO officials and diplomats told Reuters.
The plan would require NATO to have 30 land battalions, 30 air fighter squadrons and 30 navy ships such as destroyers ready to deploy within 30 days of being put on alert, although the proposal does not discuss specific troop numbers or a deadline for setting up the strategy.
The size of battalions vary across NATO, from 600 to 1,000 soldiers.
This lays down a challenge for European governments, pilloried by U.S. President Donald Trump for slashing military spending after the Cold War, to remedy long-running problems with helicopters and jets that are grounded for lack of parts.

Why the ‘president isn’t above the law’ argument is off the mark

The short answer on this is that Robert Mueller’s special counsel investigation doesn’t have a statutory criminal predicate at its core. There’s no defined crime at issue.
If Donald Trump were under suspicion of murder, or if it could be reasonably assumed, from evidence, that he must know something about a murder that was committed, then it would be appropriate to discuss whether he is “above the law” when it comes to subpoenas or obstruction of justice.
In a criminal matter, we know how any other citizen of the United States would be treated. (Possibly excepting Hillary Clinton.) It’s reasonable, if not novel or open-ended, to compare the special position of the president to the average citizen’s position, when we are at least certain about the boundaries and application of the law itself. With crimes defined by statute, that’s the certainty we have.
But that’s not the case here. There are two layers of weird, in the case of the Russiagate special counsel, that precede any assessment of the president’s special position. First, Mueller is a special counsel, and in fact one with an increasingly questionable charter – apparently broad enough to drive an aircraft carrier through, judging by all the tangents Mueller keeps going off on. (Collusion with Qatar? What’s next, collusion with a surf club in Belize?)

A one-year-old boy is in a critical condition after he and his mother were stabbed in Feltham, London, where police told neighbours to lock their doors and windows after the attack.
At 7.12pm on Monday evening officers were called to a residential address in the London Borough of Hounslow where the woman, reportedly in her 30s, and a baby were found with stab wounds.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has been implicated in the ongoing Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) scandal with the former president of the agency claiming to have informed Merkel twice about the ongoing problems.
Former president of BAMF Frank-Jürgen Weise then alleged that after informing the German leader, Ms. Merkel did not act on his concerns, L’Express reports.
“The failure lies in the inaction (of the government) since the challenges that Germany would face with the arrival of refugees were clear,” Weise said and added: “The crisis could have been avoided.”
The scandal, which has rocked the German federal government over the past month, emerged from a BAMF office in Bremen which has been accused of corruption and taking bribes for granting 1,200 asylum claims to migrants who did not qualify between 2013 and 2016.

Bavarian Minister-President Markus Söder has proposed the region use its own aircraft to deport failed asylum seekers and illegal immigrants rather than wait for the German federal government to carry out deportations.
Söder, a senior figure in the Christian Social Union (CSU), made his comments this week saying that the region could use smaller aircraft and carry out deportations more swiftly, German magazine Focus reports.
“With this, you can organise the deportations much more effectively and more targeted,” Söder said and added that it would make attempts to claim asylum in Bavaria far less attractive to migrants who have little chance of an approved asylum claim.
The proposal is part of a larger plan to increase pressure on failed asylum seekers and illegal migrants to leave the country with Bavarian police being specially trained specifically for deportations and new detention facilities are planned to ensure migrants do not go underground ahead of their deportation dates.

Police have charged a person with making a bomb threat over a stunt streamed live on the internet from the University of Washington this week.
Jammal Hassan Harraz was arrested Thursday evening over an apparent prank broadcast live on YouTube from a classroom inside the university’s Seattle campus.
Mr. Harraz remained in jail Saturday after a judge set bail at $75,000, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office website. He’s due back in court June 5, Seattle’s KOMO News reported.

Presumably, the sign was made to encourage non-observers to not eat foods with strong smells because it would make Muslim students’ hunger worse, or that it might be disrespectful.
