    • Shoot dead the parents. Then try and help this damaged young man. If he needs all his limbs cut off or just counselling – do it now. The evidence is present. He needs the chance of life he never had.

  1. On Wednesday, Trudeau waded into the debacle at the Israel-Gaza border by issuing a statement which opined that Israel’s “reported use of excessive force and live ammunition is inexcusable” and called for “an immediate independent investigation to thoroughly examine the facts on the ground” – all without even mentioning the Hamas terrorist group which facilitated the riots by name.

In the first hours after Tuesday’s bloodshed, in which 62 Palestinians were killed, misinformation was rampant.

Many assumed, for example, that most of those killed were unarmed civilians. Then, on Wednesday morning, Palestinian spokesman Salah al-Bardawil set the record straight, telling an interviewer that 50 of the 62 “martyrs” from the recent “battle” were Hamas members.

Likewise, Israel’s critics suggested that it had turned its guns on peaceful protesters. But then, a Sunday interview with Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar emerged, in which he admitted, in response to questions about Hamas’s strategy, “This is not peaceful resistance.”

  2. Trump: Cop killers deserve the death penalty
By Rusty Weiss May 17, 2018

peaking at the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service, President Trump renewed a call for the death penalty to serve as punishment for those found guilty of murdering a police officer.

The president told those in attendance that America needs an immediate end to “the attacks on our police,” adding “we must end them right now.”

“Criminals who kill our police should get the death penalty,” Trump explained.“Bring it forth.”

    Bring it forth indeed.

  3. VICE NEWS – Here’s Why The Alleged 9/11 Masterminds Are Still At Gitmo Awaiting Trial

It’s been 12 years since Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the alleged 9/11 mastermind, arrived at the Guantánamo Bay Detention Center off Cuba. There’ve been 29 rounds of pre-trial hearings, costing around $6 billion so far, according to Department of Defense estimates. And there’s still no date in sight for the trial.

What’s taking so long? VICE News visited Mohammed’s defense team in Guantánamo Bay to see why the so-called trial of the century is still so far off.

David Nevin, who heads the team defending Mohammed, believes that protecting those who took part in the torture program at the U.S. detention facility has become more important in this case than bringing those accused of plotting 9/11 to justice.

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was subjected to waterboarding and ”rectal rehydration,” among other things, during the three and a half years he was in CIA custody before being transferred to Gitmo. “It’s the reason we’re here,” Nevin told VICE News. “The reason we’re spending $76,000 a minute is to protect the people who violated all of these domestic and international laws.”

  5. Magdeburg / Germany: Syrians create Islamophobic dog attack

After an alleged dog attack on a Syrian family in Magdeburg, the dog owner has now filed a complaint against a Syrian family man himself. This was reported by the police to the radio station MDR SACHSEN-ANHALT. It’s assault.

A group of refugees would have attacked the 23-year-old. Cut wounds had been discovered in his body. In a video, which is available to MDR SACHSEN-ANHALT, you can hear the dog owner screaming: “You attack me all the time, I’m calling the police now”. In addition, the video shows that the Syrian attacked by the dogs is holding an object in his hand. What it is, however, is not exactly recognizable.

The Syrian was with several acquaintances in the park. They wear a stick and a belt in their hand, as can be seen in the video. The dog owner withdraws visibly in the video and repeats that he will call the police. One of the men suddenly hits one of the dogs. The dog tears himself loose and runs towards the attacker and finally into a green area. The dog owner runs after the dog and calls him back.

Then the man from Magdeburg pulls out his cell phone and repeats that he will now call the police. On Sunday evening, according to the police, a Syrian family had stayed in the Florapark garden in Magdeburg.

A 29-year-old father with his partner and the five and eight-year-old children. They are said to have been acquainted with several people in the company.

Suddenly the Syrians are said to have been insulted and insulted with xenophobic statements by a 23-year-old Magdeburg man who went for a walk there.

On Monday the police had stated that the Magdeburg man had two so-called fighting dogs with him. Already on Tuesday, MDR SACHSEN-ANHALT reported that the dogs were hybrids that were not on any list of dangerous dogs. It’s about a Staffordshire hybrid and a French bulldog hybrid.

  6. The Witch Hunt Turns One
Bogus Mueller probe begins second year — empty-handed.
    May 18, 2018
    Lloyd Billingsley

On Thursday, one year since the launch of the Mueller probe, U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis received a copy of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein’s previously withheld “scope memo.” Mueller’s team has been claiming secrecy over national security concerns but the judge wasn’t buying it. “C’mon man!” Ellis said. “We don’t want anyone with unfettered power.”

At this writing, the contents of the scope memo have yet to be revealed. On the other hand, the one-year anniversary calls for a box score, and CNN duly stepped up to the plate.

“The special counsel’s team has brought charges against 22 people and companies, notched five guilty pleas and seen one person sentenced. While a number of those charges were related to Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election, so far none of them has extended to potential collusion between the Russian government and Trump associates.” So on the basic mission, Mueller has no hits, but wait just a minute.

“The mandate also allowed Mueller to look into any areas that may arise from the investigation,” CNN claims. “So the probe expanded to include an offshoot investigation into whether the President has tried to obstruct justice.” So the former FBI boss is swinging a big bat, and it’s not exactly a new game.

Mueller was named to head the FBI one week before the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks and then spent, count ‘em, 12 years as FBI boss, second only to J. Edgar Hoover. Mueller set out to restore the reputation of the FBI but didn’t exactly pull it off.

So a New York lawyer was allegedly on video being rude to some food service people. He complained that they were speaking Spanish. It’s a slow news day. So the media decided to doxx him, follow him around and try to get him fired.

Here’s a BuzzFeed headline, “Here’s What We Know About XXXXX XXXXXXXX, The Racist New York Lawyer Who Berated People For Speaking In Spanish ” I clipped the actual name. Since this is straightforward doxxing. There’s no serious pretense that this is newsworthy. No attempts to connect it to the Trump Russia conspiracy theory, the price of tea in China or the singularity.

  8. Erdogan Unhinged
The erratic behavior of Turkey’s leader calls for a decisive response.
    May 18, 2018
    Ari Lieberman

    In the past twenty-four hours, Turkey’s increasingly unhinged Islamist leader, Recep Tayyip Erdo?an, has taken the following actions and made the following pronouncements;

    Recalled its ambassadors to the United States and Israel;
    Expelled Israel’s ambassador to Ankara, Eitan Na’eh and then attempted to humiliate him at the airport by subjecting him to intrusive scrutiny;
    Expelled Israel’s consul general in Istanbul, Yossi Levi Sfari;
Hosted the rabidly anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic fringe group known as Neturei Karta and pronounced them to be “representatives of the Jewish community.” The Neturei Karta is a reviled, marginal cult numbering no more than perhaps 1,500-2,000 members worldwide. They are infamously known for their shamefully submissive and obsequious conduct before the enemy.
    Voiced support for Hamas, a terrorist organization recognized as such by most of the world’s civilized community;
    Referred to Israel as a “terrorist state,” and;
Called upon the Muslim world to unite against Israel and downgrade ties.

I recently noted 12 reasons why Turkey should be expelled from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization forthwith. I can now come up with a half-dozen more. Turkey under Erdo?an has transformed itself into the Sunni version of Iran. It is expansionist, having invaded two of its neighbors within the past two years; has little regard for human rights, little regard for press freedoms, treats the judiciary (which has been stacked with Erdo?an shills) as a tool of oppression and routinely snatches and detains foreign nationals on contrived charges for future bargaining positions.

  9. THE NEW AXIS OF EVIL
When Iran, Russia and Turkey collude.
    May 18, 2018
    Joseph Puder

n his January 29, 2002, State of the Union address, President George W. Bush inaugurated the phrase “Axis of Evil.” He described the regimes of Iran Ayatollahs, Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, and North Korea as such. Bush stated that, “…Our second goal is to prevent regimes that sponsor terror from threatening America or our friends and allies with weapons of mass destruction. Some of these regimes have been pretty quiet since September 11, but we know their true nature. (Kim Jong-il’s) North Korea is a regime arming with missiles and weapons of mass destruction, while starving its citizens. Iran aggressively pursues these weapons and exports terror, while an unelected few repress the Iranian people’s hope for freedom. Iraq continues to flaunt its hostility toward America and to support terror. The Iraqi regime has plotted to develop anthrax and nerve gas and nuclear weapons for over a decade. This is a regime that has already used poison gas to murder thousands of its own citizens, leaving the bodies of mothers huddled over their dead children. This is a regime that agreed to international inspections, then kicked out the inspectors. This is a regime that has something to hide from the civilized world.”

The butchery in Syria has exposed a new team in the “Axis of Evil” including the Bashar Assad regime, Iran, Russia, and Turkey’s maniacal president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Together, they have killed half a million Syrians, mostly civilians, and caused another 11 million civilians to flee and become refugees. They dropped barrel bombs and used poisoned gas on innocent civilians, including women and children. Together, they have devastated large cities such as Aleppo, and smaller ones like Afrin, once held by Kurds and bombed by the Turks. Syrian and Russian war planes have targeted hospitals, churches, mosques, and other public places where people might seek shelter. Iran’s proxy, the Hezbollah terrorist organization, has starved entire cities into submission. What is common to all of them is that they head dictatorial regimes.

  10. Canadian Spa Gives Us First Muslim Baking Gay Wedding Cake Case
    May 18, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

Conservatives have speculated what would happen if an immovable victim class hit an unstoppable underprivileged group. Some tried to make it happen by asking Muslim bakers to bake a gay wedding cake. But that was never going to work. This on the other hand is an actual case. And it’s glorious. (via Instapundit.)

The owner of a local waxing spa is mounting a public campaign to clear the name of his business after he was served a human rights complaint for denying service to a transgender woman.

Jason Carruthers, the president of Mad Wax on Walker Road, said he was surprised at the legal move since he had explained to the complainant that the spa did not offer Brazilian wax services on male body parts.

“I have no male wax staff,” Carruthers said Friday. “We are not able to provide that service.”

A local transgender woman claims she was denied services based on her gender identity and gender expression and is seeking $50,000 for “immense harm to my dignity.”

Now normally his goose would be cooked.

Obviously a woman should not be forced to wax male body parts. Except that there are no more women. Or men. Just people with interchangeable parts and equal rights. And everyone has rights, but no one has rights now. Except the right to make other people do things they don’t want to do.

On the afternoon of April 5, after giving three lessons at his alma mater, Kenton Ridge High School, 22-year-old Eric Barga drove to Covenant Presbyterian Church for practices of the bell choir and arrived half an hour early, at about 6 p.m.

Although the temperature was in the mid-50s, after years spent in claustrophobic practice rooms while working toward his degree from the exclusive New England Conservatory in Boston, Barga pulled the custom-made Fox 610 red maple bassoon out of its case, sat on the trunk of his car in the refreshing air and began playing scales.

“There was a nice orange sky in the background,” he recalled. “It was one of the first nice days.”

I’ve often had to fear that TSA inspectors would mistake my silver flute for a broken-down Uzi (and needed to prove it a few times).

So few people actually play music themselves anymore that the sight of a person embracing a gorgeous instrument like a bassoon or a bass clarinet (which I had the pleasure of borrowing for a year), makes their brains go all pear-shaped.

  14. Mueller team files unredacted ‘scope memo’ with ‘C’mon man!’ judge, T.S. Ellis III
    Reuters May 17, 2018

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office on Thursday gave a federal court a classified memo describing the extent of his investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election and other related crimes.

The memo was filed in response to questions raised in the court in Virginia two weeks ago by Judge T.S. Ellis that Mueller should not have “unfettered powers.”

Ellis demanded to see an unredacted copy of the August 2017 memo written by U.S. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that defined Mueller’s investigative mandate.

Ellis will review the memo before deciding whether or not to dismiss charges against President Donald Trump’s former election campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Manafort has argued that Rosenstein granted Mueller too much scope when he was appointed exactly a year ago, and that Mueller is exceeding that authority.

Trump’s allies have also accused Mueller of exceeding the boundaries laid out by Rosenstein, and questioned whether he is authorized to pursue possible financial crimes committed by Manafort and others.

  17. Millions of dollars in suitcases fly out of MSP, but why?

MINNEAPOLIS (KMSP) – For five months, Fox 9 has been investigating what appears to be rampant fraud in a massive state program.

This fraud is suspected of costing Minnesota taxpayers as much as $100 million a year.

The Fox 9 Investigators reporting is based on public records and nearly a dozen government sources who have direct knowledge of what is happening.

These sources have a deep fear, and there is evidence to support their concerns, that some of that public money is ending up in the hands of terrorists.

This story begins at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, where mysterious suitcases filled with cash have become a common carry-on.

On the morning of March 15, Fox 9 chased a tip about a man who was leaving the country. Sources said he took a carry-on bag through security that was packed with $1 million in cash. Travelers can do that, as long as they fill out the proper government forms.

Fox 9 learned that these cloak-and-dagger scenarios now happen almost weekly at MSP. The money is usually headed to the Middle East, Dubai and points beyond. Sources said last year alone, more than $100 million in cash left MSP in carry-on luggage.

The national, go-to expert on what is behind these mysterious money transfers is Glen Kerns.

“What we were interested in is where it was going,” Kerns said.

He is a former Seattle police detective who spent 15 years on the FBI’s joint terrorism task force, until his retirement.

“It’s an outright crime, it’s unbelievable,” he said.

Kerns tracked millions of dollars in cash that was leaving on flights from Seattle.

It was coming from Hawalas, businesses used to courier money to countries that have no official banking system.

Some immigrant communities rely on Hawalas to send funds to help impoverished relatives back home.

Kerns discovered some of the money was being funneled to a Hawala in the region of Somalia that is controlled by the al Shabaab terrorist group.

“I talked to a couple of sources who had lived in that region and I said, ‘If money is going to this Hawala do you think it is going to al Shabaab?'” said Kerns. “And he said, ‘Oh definitely, that area is controlled by al Shabaab, and they control the Hawala there.’”

He said when the money arrives, whether it was intended for legitimate purposes or not, al Shabaab or other groups demand a cut.

As Kerns dug deeper, he found that some of the individuals who were sending out tens of thousands of dollars’ worth of remittance payments happened to be on government assistance in this country.

How could they possibly come up with such big bucks to transfer back home?

“We had sources that told us, ‘It’s welfare fraud, it’s all about the daycare,’” said Kerns.

FOX 9 REPORTED ON THE FRAUD FIVE YEARS AGO

To better understand the connection between daycare fraud and the surge in carry-on cash, you have to look at the history of this crime.

Five years ago the Fox 9 Investigators were first to report that daycare fraud was on the rise in Minnesota, exposing how some businesses were gaming the system to steal millions in government subsidies meant to help low-income families with their childcare expenses.

“It’s a great way to make some money,” Hennepin County Attorney Mike Freeman said.

In order for the scheme to work, the daycare centers need to sign up low income families that qualify for child care assistance funding.

Surveillance videos from a case prosecuted by Hennepin County show parents checking their kids into a center, only to leave with them a few minutes later. Sometimes, no children would show up.

Either way, the center would bill the state for a full day of childcare.

Video from that same case shows a man handing out envelopes of what are believed to be kickback payments to parents who are in on the fraud.

When asked where the money was going, Freeman said, “I don’t know exactly where it went. But it adds up when you begin to look at how many people were involved.”

    FOZIA ALI

One recent federal case points to at least some of the money going overseas.

Fox 9 obtained video of Fozia Ali being sworn in as a member of the city of Hopkins Park Board.

“I will support the constitution of the United States,” she said.

As she was taking her oath of office, she was also under investigation for wire fraud and theft of public money.

“So help me God,” she said during the ceremony.

State and federal agents had already raided Ali’s daycare center in south Minneapolis. The business was suspected of billing the government for more than a million dollars’ worth of bogus childcare services.

“We found records that she was collecting a significant amount of money for a much larger number of children than were actually attending the center,” said Craig Lisher from the FBI. “We are aware that some of the funds went overseas, what she was cashing out, money from the business.”

When asked if he had any idea of what it was going for he said, “I can’t say.” When pressed if he can’t say or doesn’t know he responded, “I can’t say.”

Investigators analyzed Ali’s cell phone to track her activities.

She took a two-month trip from Minnesota to Dubai and then Kenya, staying at times in $800 a night hotel rooms.

She used an app on her phone to bill the state of Minnesota for childcare services while she was out of the country.

Ali pled guilty to the daycare fraud and in March started serving time in a federal prison. She declined Fox 9’s request for an interview.

    10 DAYCARES UNDER ACTIVE INVESTIGATION

“We believe that there’s a scope of fraud out there that we really need to get our arms around and ensure that those dollars are going to kids that really need them,” Acting Commissioner for the Department of Human Services Chuck Johnson said.

He told the Fox 9 Investigators his agency has 10 daycares currently under active investigation for fraud.

Fox 9 has learned dozens more are considered suspicious.

Search warrants obtained by the Fox 9 Investigators show each one of the suspect centers has received several million dollars in childcare assistance funds.

According to public records and government sources, most are owned by Somali immigrants.

When asked if the Department of Human Services has any evidence to suggest this looks like organized crime, Johnson responded, “There’s a common pattern in how a lot of these are carried out, but beyond that, not something that I would directly categorize as organized crime.”

Sources in the Somali community told Fox 9 it is an open secret that starting a daycare center is a license to make money.

The fraud is so widespread they said, that people buy shares of daycare businesses to get a cut of the huge public subsidies that are pouring in.

Government insiders believe this scam is costing the state at least a hundred million dollars a year, half of all child care subsidies.

“I don’t think half sounds credible,” Johnson said. “I certainly think that some of the schemes that we’re seeing and certainly the ones that we’ve brought forward already for prosecution involve millions of dollars. I mean this is not a small scale that we’re looking at.”

    TRACKING THE MONEY?

Minnesota started aggressively going after daycare fraud in 2014. Back then, it was easier to track the flow of money.

The state would pay a daycare’s bill and within hours of the money showing up in the business’s bank account, funds were being wired to the United Arab Emirates.

Those wire transfers stopped after a few centers were busted.

Which brings us back to those mysterious suitcases at Minneapolis-St. Paul International.

In 2015, investigators documented $14 million in carry on cash. By 2016, it had mushroomed to $84 million. Then last year, $100 million.

A trend all too familiar to former terrorism investigator Glen Kerns.

Fox 9 asked him how likely it is that some of the money is going towards terrorism?

“I say absolutely, our sources tell us that. Good sources, from the community leaders,” he said. “My personal opinion is we need a nationwide task force to clamp down on this type of fraud.”

  18. Turkey: Erdogan points finger squarely at US over Gaza violence

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed his supporters at the rally in support of Palestinians in Istanbul on Friday saying that Turkey would not accept ‘the invasion of Jerusalem.’

SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President (Turkish): “We declare that we won’t accept the invasion of Jerusalem, the violation of the intimacy of Al Aqsa [mosque] nor the seizing of the rights of the Palestinians. The US showed peremptorily that they are anything but a mediator in the region by the decision of moving their embassy to Jerusalem.”

SOT, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish President (Turkish): “The US has put it out clearly that is not for a solution but for creating problems. The only country which is blocking the UN Security Council is the United States of America.”

    http://saudigazette.com.sa/article/535155/SAUDI-ARABIA/Seven-people-arrested-for-actions-against-state

“The Presidency of State Security said seven people have been arrested for suspicious communication with foreign entities and actions against the state.

The authorities detected coordinated activities by a group of people, who carried out an organized work to violate the religious and national principles of the state.

They also had communications with foreign bodies to support their activities and also sought to recruit persons working in sensitive government posts as well as providing financial support to hostile elements abroad with the objective of undermining the Kingdom’s security and stability, its social peace and national cohesion, which Article 12 of the Basic System of Governance stresses that they ought to be strengthened and protected from sedition and discord, Saudi Press Agency quoted the spokesman of the State Security Presidency as stating on Friday night.

With success granted by Allah Almighty, the authorities have been able to arrest seven persons of the group. Meanwhile, authorities are working to determine how far the group’s influence has spread and who else has any connections with their activities. The authorities stressed that they would take all legal measures against them. – SPA”

“The European Commission is proposing that EU governments make direct money transfers to Iran’s central bank to avoid US penalties, an EU official said, in what would be the most forthright challenge to Washington’s newly reimposed sanctions.

The step, which would seek to bypass the US financial system, would allow European companies to repay Iran for oil exports and repatriate Iranian funds in Europe, a senior EU official said, although the details were still to be worked out…”

  22. Spain police break up gang kidnapping migrants for ransom (thelocal, May 18, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.es/20180518/spain-police-break-up-gang-kidnapping-migrants-for-ransom

“Spanish police said Thursday they had broken up a gang suspected of kidnapping migrants shortly after they arrived in Spain by boat from Morocco and holding them for ransom.

The gang allegedly waited for migrant boats to land on beaches near the southern port of Algeciras, and then promised to help migrants find their family members in Spain, police said in a statement.

The victims were then taken to a house in Algeciras where they were locked up in rooms and forced to give up their mobile phones and other personal items.

Gang members would phone the victim’s family members and demand €500-€2,000 to secure their release.

They would interrogate their victims beforehand “to estimate how much they could demand from their loved ones,” the police statement said.

Police arrested five suspects as part of their investigation — three men and a woman from Morocco who were living in Spain legally and a Spanish woman.

The men allegedly carried out the kidnappings while the women kept watch over the victims.

Police said the operation remained open and they did not rule out further arrests. They did not say how many migrants they believed were kidnapped by the gang…”

  23. Eritreans protest in Bern against tough new asylum rules (thelocal, May 18, 2018)
    https://www.thelocal.ch/20180518/eritreans-protest-in-bern-against-tough-new-asylum-rules

“Over a thousand Eritreans protested outside the Swiss national parliament on Friday against tough new rules that could see as many as 3,200 people returned to the autocratic African country.

After the demonstration, which Swiss People’s Party politician Natalie Rickli filmed on her mobile phone, protesters handed authorities a petition signed by 12,000 people and addressed to Justice Minister Simonetta Sommaruga. The document called for the increasingly tough asylum rules targeting the group to be relaxed.

Friday’s protest comes after Bern announced in April it planned to review the status of 3,200 of the 9,400 Eritreans granted temporary residence in Switzerland.

That decision came after the Federal Administrative Court ruled in August last year that it was reasonable to return Eritrean citizens who had already previously performed military service to the African country as they were unlikely either to be required to re-join the military or to face other punishment…”

We’re officially one year into the Russia investigation and Americans are as divided as ever on the probe. A poll last month showed 82 percent of Democrats said the investigation should continue, compared to just 18 percent of Republicans.

  28. the DAILY WIRE – ‘The New York Times’ Runs A Comprehensive Hit Piece On Jordan Peterson. It’s Dishonest, Malicious Crap.

On Friday, The New York Times released a 3,400-word, spectacularly brutal and dishonest hit piece on Jordan Peterson. Its none-too-subtle title: “Jordan Peterson: Custodian Of The Patriarchy.”

The author, Nellie Bowles, can’t hold back her obvious antipathy for her subject; instead, she lets her sneering condescension drop from every comma. She never lets Peterson spell out an argument; she satisfies her id with every snide aside. It’s an extraordinary performance by a person deliberately attempting to misunderstand her subject.
