    • Of course I can’t speak for anyone else but I think many people here consider Trump as one of history’s greatest presidents and heroes. ??

    • Sorry Michelle I misunderstood. That’s what happens when you wake up obscenely early.

      • “That’s what happens when you wake up obscenely early.”

I haven’t gotten up that early since I was young enough to stay up that late!

    • It is conservative but it is also anti trump most of the time, there are several sites like that and the more libertarian they are the more anti trump they are. It is sad that they can’t understand that we have to change things slowly so they will stay changed instead of doing them quickly. Doing them quickly would mean that they would be easy to change back.

It took us over a 100 years to get into this mess and it will take several decades (at a minimum) to repair the damage and get us back to what the founders wanted.

      • It’s more than sad – it’s infuriating!
I have a feeling some of them play at libertarian as cover for same-old globalist policy direction. Their oh-so-pure facade ends up helping RINOs block PT and the MAGA agenda.

  1. LONDON TERROR RAID: Armed police seize teenager on street in midnight operation (express, May 18, 2018)

“LONDON anti-terror police have seized a teenager suspected of preparing terrorist acts in a midnight raid.

Armed officers arrested the 18-year-old in the north of the capital last night.

Scotland Yard said he was detained “in the street” by the Metropolitan Police’s Counter Terrorism Command and taken into custody.

A Met Police spokesman said: “Officers from the Metropolitan Police Counter Terrorism Command arrested an 18-year-old man at around 12.10am on Friday, May 18 on suspicion of preparation of terrorist acts, contrary to Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

“The arrest took place in the street in the north London area and was carried out with the assistance of armed officers.

“The man was arrested under the Terrorism Act and taken into custody at a south London police station where he remains.”

  2. French authorities thwart possible attack using highly toxic ricin or explosives (RT, May 18, 2018)
    https://www.rt.com/news/427070-france-ricin-possible-attack/

“French authorities have thwarted a possible attack using either highly toxic ricin gas or explosives, Interior Minister Gerard Collomb has said. Just a few grains of purified ricin powder is enough to kill an adult human.

Two men of Egyptian origin were arrested in connection with a foiled attack using powerful ricin poison or explosives, Collomb told French BFMTV on Friday. The arrested men, who are brothers, had tutorials showing how to build a ricin-based poison, the minister said.

Ricin is a naturally occurring toxic protein, which is especially harmful its gas form. The lethal dose for an average adult is less than 2 milligrams if the exposure is from injection or inhalation.

Minister did not reveal when or where the suspects had been detained…”

    • French government says it foiled attack, 2 brothers held (abcnews, May 18, 2018)
      https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/french-government-foiled-attack-brothers-held-55254467

“French authorities have thwarted a possible attack using ricin or explosives and handed preliminary terrorism charges to a young Egyptian man arrested in Paris, officials said Friday.

The announcement came as French police and President Emmanuel Macron’s government are under criticism for not preventing attacks like a deadly Islamic extremist stabbing in central Paris on Saturday.

The Egyptian man was arrested a week ago in the French capital’s 18th arrondissement, or district, according to a security official. Authorities found explosive powder and tutorials on how to make explosives and poison from materials such as ricin, the official said.

The man, identified as Mohamed M., was handed preliminary charges of association with a terrorist enterprise, according to a judicial official. Another man was also arrested but later released.

A police official said both men were born in 1998 and at least one was a college student.

The officials weren’t authorized to be publicly named discussing the investigation. Earlier, Interior Minister Gerard Collomb said the two men arrested were brothers. But the other officials said later they weren’t brothers. The reason for the discrepancy wasn’t immediately clear.

Authorities were tracking extremist activity on social networks when they identified the two young men, Collomb said earlier on BFM television. Collomb said the men had been communicating on encrypted messaging app Telegram.

“We were able to detect them, detect this attack plan and were able to arrest them,” he said.

He also defended the government’s handling of the 26,000 people on police watch lists for suspected radicalism. The assailant in Saturday’s stabbing, a 20-year-old Frenchman of Chechen origin, had been on the watch list, like several others who have attacked France in recent years.

Assailant Khamzat Azimov, a nursing student, killed one person and wounded others in the attack near the Garnier Opera house. Azimov was killed when he advanced on police.

A close friend of his was arrested and given preliminary terrorism charges Thursday night. Two female friends of the men were arrested Thursday in the Paris region, the anti-terrorism prosecutor said.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for inspiring Azimov’s attack. IS sympathizers have killed more than 200 people in France in recent years.”

  3. Sweden Funds Holocaust Memorial Trips to Tackle Surging Anti-Semitism (breitbart, May 18, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/jerusalem/2018/05/18/sweden-funds-holocaust-memorial-trips-to-tackle-surging-anti-semitism/

“Sweden is funding trips for the nation’s youth to visit Holocaust memorial sites in an effort to tackle rising anti-Semitism in the Nordic nation.

Fifteen million kronor (1.4 million euros, $1.7 million) has been set aside for government projects over three years to educate young students about Nazi crimes against Jews, Roma communities and other groups.

“Nazism and racism are growing and spreading. We are therefore launching this investment so that more youth can be equipped with the knowledge to tackle the anti-democratic forces that are growing in Sweden,” Culture Minister Alice Bah Kuhnke said in a statement seen by AFP.

Sweden has faced increasingly heavy scrutiny of its immigration and integration policies after a series of shootings, grenade attacks and car bombings in Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm.

The country has received more immigrants relative to the size of its population than any other European country in recent years and many of the them have been Muslim.

The rise in anti-Semitism that has followed saw Jewish organisations issue travel warnings over Malmö, the southern Swedish city that has served as a gateway into the country for many immigrants and which has seen a growing number of anti-Semitic incidents.

Now the Swedish Committee Against Anti-Semitism will receive 12.8 million kronor to organise trips to Holocaust remembrance sites, and the Living History Forum, a public authority, is to offer educational tools and resources.

The latest move to ease tensions comes just five months after Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Lofven admitted his country has a problem with anti-Semitism in general and the attitudes of immigrants from the Middle East in particular.

As Breitbart Jerusalem reported, just three days before Mr. Lofven spoke last December, a group of around 20 masked men hurled firebombs at a Gothenburg synagogue, hours after an anti-Israel march in Sweden’s second largest city.

Chairman of the local Jewish Assembly Allan Stutzinsky reported that around 30 young people were attending a party at the synagogue during the attack, and fled to the basement for safety until police arrived. “There were dozens of masked people throwing burning objects into the courtyard,” he told local media, adding that rain that night helped prevent the building from catching fire…”

    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/afghan-officials-taliban-attacks-kill-16-security-forces-55257025

“Afghan officials say Taliban fighters have attacked several security posts in three provinces, killing 16 security forces.

Ramadan Ali Mooseni, deputy provincial police chief, said Friday the Taliban launched an attack the previous night in Ghazni province’s remote Ajristan district, killing nine security forces and wounding seven others. The gun battle also left 25 Taliban fighters dead, he said.

Elsewhere, Taliban insurgents attacked police security posts in the Maruf district of Kandahar province, killing five police and wounding six. Also, 12 Taliban were killed and 18 wounded, said Zia Durani, spokesman for the chief of police.

Similar attacks Thursday night in southern Uruzgan province left two police dead, officials said.”

    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/latest-germany-examine-18000-asylum-cases-55256374

“Germany’s asylum authority says it will re-examine some 18,000 cases handled by one of its regional offices amid a scandal over the improper granting of asylum requests.

Jutta Cordt, the head of Germany’s Federal Office for Migration, said Friday that the office will review all cases since 2000 in which people were granted asylum by its branch in Bremen, the country’s smallest state.

In April, prosecutors said at least 1,200 asylum requests, mostly by members of Syria’s Yazidi minority, may have been wrongly approved between 2013 and 2016. The former head of the Bremen branch office is being investigated on suspicion of corruption.

Cordt says her authority so far has reviewed some 4,400 decisions by various branches and found that cases handled by Bremen were by far the most problematic…”

“A convoy of buses with 270 migrants, including children, was stuck in central Bosnia on Friday, reflecting the chaotic situation in the war-scarred Balkan country as it struggles to cope with the influx.

Authorities were transporting the migrants from Sarajevo, the capital, toward a center for asylum-seekers near the southwestern town of Mostar, but regional authorities there didn’t allow them in.

The buses returned to the Sarajevo district and remained blocked on a mountain road. Local media reported 18 children among the migrants, who appeared frightened and confused…”

  7. Indonesia seeks death for cleric accused of ordering attacks (abcnews, May 18, 2018)
    https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/indonesia-boosts-security-militant-trial-attacks-55250191

“Indonesian prosecutors on Friday demanded death for radical Islamic cleric Aman Abdurrahman, who is accused of ordering attacks including a January 2016 suicide bombing and gun attack in the capital that killed four civilians and four attackers.

Abdurrahman, who police and prosecutors say is a key ideologue for Islamic State militants in the world’s largest Muslim nation, sat impassively as the prosecution announced the sentencing demand before a panel of five judges.

Prosecution lawyer Anita Dewayani said Abdurrahman’s acts had resulted in deaths and injuries and there was no reason for lenience.

Abdurrahman’s next hearing was set for May 25 where he and his lawyer, appointed by the court after the cleric refused to be represented, will respond to the prosecution.

“I’ll do my own defense,” Abdurrahman told the court.

Prosecutors say Abdurrahman’s instructions from prison, where he was serving a terrorism-related sentence, resulted in several attacks in Indonesia. They included the January 2016 attack on a Starbucks in Jakarta, an attack on a bus terminal in the capital that killed three police officers and an attack on a church in Kalimantan that killed a 2-year-old girl. Several other children suffered serious burns from the Kalimantan attack…”

“A man who provided a revolver used to kill a state police employee in an Islamic State group-inspired attack in Sydney in 2015 was sentenced on Friday to 17 years in prison.

Farhad Jabar, 15, was shot dead by police moments after he killed Curtis Cheng with a 0.38 Smith & Wesson as the accountant walked from the New South Wales state police headquarters in central Sydney after work.

Talal Alameddine, 25, refused to stand for Justice Peter Johnson who sentenced him in the New South Wales Supreme Court to serve a minimum 13 ? years behind bars.

New South Wales, Australia’s most populous state, has criminalized refusing to stand for a judge after several Muslim defendants remained seated in court on religious grounds…”

    • This is a halfway decent discussion of cryptocurrency but—despite an earnest effort starting at time point–00:17:00—it still doesn’t do anywhere-near an adequate job of explaining the process of so-called ‘energy intensive’ “bit mining” (which I understand requires a lot of electricity to perform the ineluctable, innumerable, intermediate, instantaneous, almost-indecipherable, decryption operations to “mine” one of these “coins”. (Damn, typing this many parentheses and commas makes my CTS flare!)

By my own lights, it would seem as though operable fusion energy’s, “power for nothing and the chicks Watts for free” might cause a serious dislocation in cryptocurrency extraction and valuation.

To me, it’s like betting on fossil fuel futures. Or putting out fires with gasoline.

      “… headwinds facing cryptocurrency… ”

Recent $20,000 to $10,000 re-valuation per Bitcoin, with a $1,000 daily fluctuation just recently. Sell me all you got! [/s]

      • To me, it’s like betting on fossil fuel futures. Or putting out fires with gasoline.

According to the latest research oil isn’t a fossil fuel, it is formed from chemicals deep in the crust by heat and pressure, check out how many of the oil fields that were supposedly pumped dry are now full again. Some of the wells have to be pumped frequently to prevent the pressure building to the point the safety features will be over whelmed and the well will blow.

Cryptocurrency is not the wave of the future. All currencies must be backed by something, either precious metals or blind faith that the government will always exist to make good on the money. Crypto currencies are currently popular because they aren’t tied to any government but conversely they only exist on the net and can’t be used to buy things in the real world unless/until they are changed into some form of cash. If/when the crash comes that takes down all of the major nations how are the cryptocurrency holders going to buy anything?

As I said currencies must be backed by either precious metals or buy blind faith in the government, since all of the signs say we are headed into a time when nations fall and economies collapse the only safe investment is precious metals, and remember (using physical weight) buy as much silver as gold. Gemstones can also be used but these days there are ways to manufacture gem stones that can’t be told from the natural ones except for the fact they have no flaws.

    • Remember what I said about some of the leaders trying to turn the FBI into a Praetorian guard or the American version of the Internal KGB and Stasi

NEW YORK (Reuters) – The former son-in-law of Paul Manafort, the one-time chairman of President Donald Trump’s campaign, has cut a plea deal with the Justice Department that requires him to cooperate with other criminal probes, two people with knowledge of the matter said.

The guilty plea agreement, which is under seal and has not been previously reported, could add to the legal pressure on Manafort, who is facing two indictments brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller in his probe of alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

Manafort has been indicted in federal courts in Washington and Virginia with charges ranging from tax evasion to bank fraud and has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Jeffrey Yohai, a former business partner of Manafort, was divorced from Manafort’s daughter last August.

  11. Google’s Selfish Ledger is an unsettling vision of Silicon Valley social engineering
This internal video from 2016 shows a Google concept for how total data collection could reshape society

Google has built a multibillion-dollar business out of knowing everything about its users. Now, a video produced within Google and obtained by The Verge offers a stunningly ambitious and unsettling look at how some at the company envision using that information in the future.

The video was made in late 2016 by Nick Foster, the head of design at X (formerly Google X) and a co-founder of the Near Future Laboratory. The video, shared internally within Google, imagines a future of total data collection, where Google helps nudge users into alignment with their goals, custom-prints personalized devices to collect more data, and even guides the behavior of entire populations to solve global problems like poverty and disease.

When reached for comment on the video, an X spokesperson provided the following statement to The Verge:

  12. Doral resident shouting ‘anti-President Trump rhetoric,’ shot in police firefight at Trump National Resort

A Doral man, identified as Jonathan Oddi, 42, was shot by police early Friday at Trump National Doral in northwest Miami-Dade after grabbing an American flag, going into the resort’s lobby, firing shots and causing a commotion, police said.

“This subject came in removed a flag from a flag pole at the rear of the complex and brought it into the hotel lobby and draped it over the counter and began to yell out anti-President Trump rhetoric,” Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez told reporters at a briefing shortly before 9 a.m.

The shooting at the resort owned by President Donald Trump — at Northwest 36th Street and 87th Avenue — happened about 1:30 a.m.

“These officers did not hesitate for one second to engage this individual who was actively shooting in the lobby of the hotel,” Perez said.

“ISTANBUL (Reuters) – Turkey called on Muslim countries on Friday to stop other nations from following the United States and moving their embassies in Israel to Jerusalem, as it opened a meeting in Istanbul on Friday.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan called the summit of the 57-member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) after Israeli forces this week killed dozens of Palestinian protesters who were demonstrating in Gaza against the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

Turkey has been one of the most vocal critics of the U.S. move and the violence in Gaza, declaring three days of mourning. Erdogan has described the actions of the Israeli forces as a “genocide” and Israel as a “terrorist state”.

“We will emphasise the status of the Palestine issue for our community, and that we will not allow the status of the historic city to be changed,” Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said in an opening address. “We must prevent other countries following the U.S. example.”

The events in Gaza have also sparked a diplomatic row between Turkey and Israel, with both countries expelling each other’s senior diplomats this week.

The plight of Palestinians resonates with many Turks, particularly the nationalist and religious voters who form the base of support for Erdogan, running for re-election next month…”

  14. North Korea says won’t hold talks with ‘incompetent’ South unless differences settled

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea’s chief negotiator called the South Korean government “ignorant and incompetent” on Thursday, denounced U.S.-South Korean air combat drills and threatened to halt all talks with the South unless its demands are met.

The comments by Ri Son Gwon, chairman of North Korea’s Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the country, were the latest in a string of inflammatory statements marking a drastic change in tone after months of easing tension with plans for denuclearisation and a summit scheduled with the United States.

Ri criticized the South for participating in the drills, as well as for allowing “human scum” to speak at its National Assembly, the North’s KCNA news agency said in a statement.

“Unless the serious situation which led to the suspension of the north-south high-level talks is settled, it will never be easy to sit face to face again with the present regime of south Korea,” the statement said.

    It did not elaborate.

Maybe they’re betting on bluffing Trump’s underlings. It’s difficult to blame Trump, bombarded on all sides as he is.

    • North Korea ‘declines’ South Korea media for nuclear site event; China urges ‘stability’

SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korea has declined to accept a list of South Korean journalists hoping to observe the closure of its nuclear test site, South Korea said on Friday, raising new questions about the North’s commitment to reducing tension.

North Korea had invited a limited number of journalists from South Korea and other countries to witness what it said will be the closing of its only nuclear weapons test site at Punggye-ri next week.

The North Korean offer to scrap the test site has been seen as major concession in months of easing tension between it, on the one hand, and South Korea and the United States on the other.

But the remarkable progress appears to have been checked in recent days with North Korea raising doubts about an unprecedented June 12 summit in Singapore between leader Kim Jong Un and U.S. President Donald Trump, and calling off talks with the South.

The South Korean Unification Ministry, which handles dealings with the North, said on Friday North Korea had “declined to accept” the list of journalists submitted by the South for the test site dismantling.

The ministry did not elaborate but the North Korean decision is likely to raise doubts about its plan for the test site.

Trump on Thursday sought to placate North Korea after it threatened to call off the June summit, saying Kim’s security would be guaranteed in any deal and his country would not suffer the fate of Muammar Gaddafi’s Libya, unless that could not be reached.

ALMATY, Kazakhstan (AP) — Hour upon hour, day upon day, Omir Bekali and other detainees in far western China’s new indoctrination camps had to disavow their Islamic beliefs, criticize themselves and their loved ones and give thanks to the ruling Communist Party.

When Bekali, a Kazakh Muslim, refused to follow orders each day, he was forced to stand at a wall for five hours at a time. A week later, he was sent to solitary confinement, where he was deprived of food for 24 hours. After 20 days in the heavily guarded camp, he wanted to kill himself.

  16. ‘Party city’ Amsterdam to crack down on tourists

Amsterdam is seeking to contain the flood of tourists swamping the city, with the incoming council proposing a series of tough measures and plans to hike tourism taxes.

Some 18 million tourists visit Amsterdam every year — more than the entire population of the Netherlands — and local residents have become increasingly fed-up at the deluge.

The city’s picturesque narrow streets and canals now sag year round under the weight of all the visitors, including increasing numbers of raucous and unruly stag and hen parties.

Under a plan “to seek a new balance” put forward by the four parties forming the city’s next coalition council, popular activities like beer-bikes and boozy boat trips will be sharply curtailed.

“Tourism is part of the international culture of Amsterdam, which we should continue to cherish,” the plan says, a copy of which was obtained Thursday by AFP.

But due to “nuisance, crowds and rubbish, some neighbourhoods are under extreme pressure.”

Amsterdam is first and foremost “a city to live in and to do business,” the plan says, adding “it is only secondly a tourist destination.”

  17. Empty stomachs drive Venezuela soldiers to desert in droves

CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — He enlisted in Venezuela’s National Guard to earn a ticket out of poverty. But little more than two years later, his monthly pay is worth only about $2, forcing him to moonlight at a tire shop, and he has put in for a discharge.

“I don’t know what everybody else does to survive,” said Ruben, a 21-year-old sergeant, who fearing retaliation agreed to speak about his situation only if his last name was not revealed. “If I don’t get out of this, I’ll starve to death.”

Not even Venezuela’s once-proud military is immune to the oil-rich country’s deepening economic crisis of food shortages and skyrocketing prices, and while top commanders deny there is any discontent, analysts say thousands of soldiers are asking for honorable discharges or deserting their posts by simply walking away.

  18. Peso plunge: Collapse of currency dredges up old frustrations, threatens Argentina’s president

Government default in 2001 was followed by 12 years of leftist rule

BUENOS AIRES — A shopping trip to Miami or a beach vacation in Brazil is far beyond Samuel Rivas’ budget. Nevertheless, the 57-year-old cabdriver was on a desperate hunt for foreign currency Wednesday in the Argentine capital’s financial district.

“It’s the only way I can make my money count — by buying dollars,” Mr. Rivas explained below the red digits flashing the Maguitur exchange office’s current values. “Because the day I want to trade in my car, if I saved in pesos, it’ll be totally devalued.”

His strategy — which has become a near-universal pastime in a country facing a 25 percent annual inflation rate and where everything including real estate and international airfare is priced in U.S. dollars — has turned into a crisis again in the past two weeks as the Argentine peso lost almost 18 percent of its value against the greenback.

The frustration on the streets is compounded because many Argentines thought they put such indignities in the rearview mirror with the election of center-right businessman Mauricio Macri as president in late 2015.

  19. In the second Gilded Age, the mansions get bigger, and the homeless get closer

The capital of America’s second Gilded Age is Los Angeles, where homes worth tens of millions of dollars look out over a city in which the middle class struggles to afford shelter and the number of homeless increases daily.

LOS ANGELES – When she became president of the Beverly Hills/Greater Los Angeles Realtors Association, Robin Greenberg wanted to do something for people who couldn’t afford any home, much less one like hers in the golden hills of Bel Air.

So every month for eight years, she and colleagues went to Skid Row or elsewhere downtown to feed the homeless.

Then, last December, she learned the homeless had come to her.

Before dawn on Dec. 6 a wildfire raced out of a parched ravine in Bel Air, scorching 422 acres, destroying or damaging 18 homes and forcing the evacuation of about 700 others — including Robin Greenberg’s.

Even more shocking than the fire’s damage was its cause: a portable stove at a homeless encampment right there in Bel Air.

    • In the second Gilded Age, the mansions get bigger, and the homeless get closer

Attending a 2016 transit summit in the core Sacramento (California’s capitol) complex, imagine my astonishment to see various homeless people outdoorsmen thoroughly encamped in various bays and side-stairs of the elaborate Beaux-Arte monuments to my state’s legislative grandeur.

Admittedly, the last time I even glanced at Sacka-ta-matoes was in my rearview mirror as I captained a 24′ bobtail on my way to the 2003 Burning Man Festival.

All the same, an entire childhood of touring my state’s capitol, meeting Governor Ronald Reagan, and generally believing my republic’s political processes to little resemble the sausage-making that they currently do, made this 2016 revelation rather unpleasant.

If the governor of this world’s fifth-strongest economy has homeless people scattered amongst his own temples of law, what does that speak of his ability? Caveat: California is a magnet for the impoverished. Attracting some 25% of America’s entire homeless population at any given time.

Try dealing with that intractable sort of issue. Solve the housing problem and more of the beleaguered come. I don’t see the issue here … a little help? [/s]

      • I don’t see the problem being solved in the near future, I do see it getting much worse.

  20. Obama Presidential Center approved by Chicago plan commission

CHICAGO —Construction of the Obama Presidential Center in Chicago has taken a major step forward with a city commission’s decision to sign off on the project.

The Chicago Plan Commission on Thursday approved a proposal to build former President Barack Obama’s center in Jackson Park on the city’s South Side. The action came over protests from opponents who want an agreement that local residents will benefit from the $500 million project.

The plan still has other hurdles to clear, including City Council approval.

Protesters interrupted Thursday’s meeting and demonstrators were outside City Hall earlier to make their voices heard ahead of the vote.

On Monday, a group called Protect Our Parks filed a lawsuit to block the project. They are trying to block the project on the grounds it is not a true presidential library. The group takes that stance because the center will only have a digital archive of documents and not the documents themselves.

Nathalie Mezza-Garcia is a political scientist turned “seavangelesse” — her term for an evangelist in favor of living off the grid — and on the ocean.

Mezza-Garcia spoke with CNBC’s Matthew Taylor about what she sees as the trouble with governments, and why she believes tech startups should head to Tahiti.

Months later, he moved to Hillcrest High School and joined the basketball team, Dallas ISD officials said. As a student there, Gilstrap-Portley dated a 14-year-old classmate, the girl’s mother said.

  23. Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a directive to immigration judges Thursday telling them they can no longer shunt deportation cases off onto permanent wait lists and leave illegal immigrants free to roam the U.S.

Known as administrative closure, the wait list had become a favorite tactic of the Obama administration, serving to protect low-priority illegal immigrants from deportation.

Rather than pursue those cases, government attorneys would propose — and judges would grant — administrative closure by shipping more than 200,000 cases to the suspension list in what analysts said became a de facto amnesty.

  26. Vampire Hillary Set To Suck $1 Million From DNC At Party Fundraiser

As we’ve mentioned before, the Clintons need to get paid. They just have to get paid for all the good they have brought to the Democratic Party over the past couple of years—and by good, I mean a total election defeat in 2016 and the fracturing of the party. There’s a civil war occurring within the party. The establishment wing and the ascendant progressive wing that has found their hero in Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who isn’t even a Democrat. The far left had huge wins Tuesday night. Yet, even with the party reeling from their 2016 wounds—wounds Hillary had a hand in inflicting with her shoddy campaign—the lady needs that dough.

The Democratic National Committee is in dire financial shape. It’s millions in debt, with the committee taking out a near $2 million loan to keep the lights on. Yet, Vampire Hillary has decided that for them to use her email and data lists, the DNC would have to fork over around $2 million for access. The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has forked over $700,000 to use the lists. Some Democrats have wanted Hillary to retroactively donate the material, but that will never happen. The family has a rather big rollout coming. On May 24, the Clinton Foundation has a swanky event, where you can have access to the former first family, with prices range from $2,500 to $100,000 for invitations to various events, cocktail parties, and the foundation’s Annual Briefing. Hillary is building her Onward Together PAC, while Bill is about to charter a book tour; he wrote a thriller with James Patterson called “The President Is Missing.”

  27. Are federal and state-funded child care centers funding terrorist groups overseas?

Welfare fraud is an expensive problem for American taxpayers, but as a new report reveals, the cost might not be just an economic one. Day care fraud in Minnesota has shed light onto illegal methods of funding terrorist organizations in the Middle East and holes in our national security networks. The welfare abuse which has occurred in Minnesota affects every American- either by wasting our tax dollars or putting our lives at risk- and we must ensure this is not a problem in other states.

A five-month Fox 9 investigation revealed, welfare fraud, done through the state child care services, has cost Minnesota taxpayers as much as $100 million a year.

The report explains, Fox 9 responded to a tip regarding a man leaving the country with $1 million cash in his suitcase. This is legal for travelers with proper paperwork and, apparently, a nearly weekly occurrence at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Where the money came from and where it is going is what interested the Fox 9 team.

  28. Police: Man arrested after firing shots at Trump golf club

DORAL, Fla. – A man shouting about Donald Trump entered the president’s south Florida golf resort early Friday, draped a flag over a lobby counter and exchanged fire with police before being arrested, police said.

One officer received an unspecified injury, officials said.

Police were notified of an “active shooter” in the Trump-owned Trump National Doral Golf Club near Miami about 1:30 a.m., Doral Police Chief Hernan Organvidez told news reporters. He said officers from Doral and Miami-Dade confronted him immediately and exchanged gunfire with the man who was “neutralized” and taken into custody.

Officials did not immediately say if the man was wounded.

Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez said the man was shouting about Trump, and “actively shooting.”

“He was yelling and spewing some information about President Trump and that’s what we know so far. And he had an American flag that he did drape over the counter,” Perez said.

  29. The Ex-Boyfriend of the California Package Bomb Victim Arrested After Being Found with Explosives

(SANTA ANA, Calif.) — Spa owner Ildiko Krajnyak was opening a package that had piled up with mail during her recent trip to her native Hungary when it exploded, shaking the building.

Parts of Krajnyak were blown out the windows into a parking lot Tuesday afternoon.

News reports quickly reached Stephen Beal, her ex-boyfriend and a partner in the Southern California business.

At the urging of his new girlfriend, Beal phoned police and then let them search his house. They found more than 100 pounds (45 kilograms) of explosive material and charged him Thursday with possessing an unregistered destructive device.

While not charged with the fatal explosion, the arrest puts Beal in custody as authorities investigate what they believe was a targeted bombing.

Beal, a model rocket hobbyist, told investigators he did not have material for an explosion as powerful as the one he saw in news coverage and had not made any bombs.

Julio Pino aka Assad Jibril Pino, had tenure at Kent State, and the university had No problem with him smearing America, shouting “Death to Israel”, calling Osama Bin Laden “the greatest”, nor even for his open support for terrorism. But now that the FBI has charged him for lying to them, as he told them that he didn’t know a Facebook friend of his by the name of “J.E.” who threatened to kill hundreds of people, the corrupt Kent State University has finally found a reason to part with him, if only to spare themselves trouble from the law. Here’s what Pino’s Facebook friend wrote about him:

“I f*****g love Julio Pino, even if he does eventually do something that most consider horrible, I’ll still love him because I know him in a deeper way than most of you even could.”

And not only did Pino refer to his students as “my little jihadists”, but he’s being investigated for recruiting for ISIS. President Trump congratulates Gina Haspel via twitter, as she becomes the first female CIA director.

Haspel cleared a full Senate confirmation vote 54-45 Thursday and will soon be sworn in.

This comes one day after the Senate Intelligence Committee voted 10-5 to push her confirmation to the full Senate for debate.

Haspel was named acting director of the CIA after former chief Mike Pompeo was sworn in as Secretary of State.

Her extensive intelligence career at the agency began in 1985 and includes more than 20 different job titles most of which remain classified.

The 61-year-old’s counter-terrorism work in 1998 led to the arrests of two key al Qaeda members following the deadly bombings at U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

In an article, journalist Eren Güvercin claims that Ramadan is a thoroughly German holiday and that there is no question that Islam belongs to Germany.

Güvercin maintains that the practice is older the Oktoberfest, also known in Bavaria as Wiesn. While he provides no evidence for his assertion, the earliest Wiesn celebrations are thought to have been held on 12 October 1810 to celebrate the marriage of Prince Ludwig, later King Ludwig I, and Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen.

  36. ‘Crossfire Hurricane’: It’s all right now; FBI was just spying on the Trump campaign, is all
    By J.E. Dyer May 18, 2018

After the New York Times came out with its 16 May “Crossfire Hurricane” apologetic for the FBI’s spying operation against the Trump campaign, Kimberley Strassel and Andrew McCarthy drew two important conclusions from it.

One – Strassel’s – is that the politicization of the “Russia-Trump” probe could have occurred earlier than the conventional wisdom has placed it. Alluding to Rep. Devin Nunes’ increasing suspicion that the Trump team was “set up,” Strassel suggests looking at a point in the “late spring” of 2016 when James Comey is said to have briefed Obama’s national security principals that “the FBI had counterintelligence concerns about the Trump campaign.”

    In Strassel’s words:

With this briefing, Mr. Comey officially notified senior political operators on Team Obama that the bureau had eyes on Donald Trump and Russia. Imagine what might be done in these partisan times with such explosive information.

She goes on to recount some of what was done. That litany alone amounts to a set of questions that urgently require answers.

    https://libertyunyielding.com/2018/05/18/crossfire-hurricane-its-all-right-now-fbi-was-just-spying-on-the-trump-campaign-is-all/

    • Since the chorus chants, “Yeah, in fact its a gas”, maybe we should look at the FBI’s involvement in the poison gas attack claim in Syria.

I conceived of this comment as a joke but as I typed it, I started to get nervous that I might be on to something.

      • God I hope you aren’t on to something, not that I think the Obama people wouldn’t do that.

I was typing when I got the idea of competing data bases of blackmail material. Both the Obama and the Clinton crime families what to control the Dems for a lot longer so keeping track of the dirt in the FBI files (we know the Clinton’s copied the Dem FBI files while they were in the White House so why wouldn’t Obama? And both probably kept a lot of dirt on foreign politicians also).

    • She summarizes what we know and points out what we don’t know. She also points out some of what we need to know and that once some of the info comes out (names the spy) we will then have information enough to start asking a lot more questions about what we need to know.

The last thing she says is that since this has the signs of and probably was a full scale counter intelligence operation against the Trump Campaign it took all of the Intel organizations as well as the FBI to carry out the operation. This fits in with the information that Dan Bongino is bringing out on his podcasts and what is coming from other sources. We know that the Obama administration weaponized the FBI and the intel organizations to spy on US citizens who were political enemies of Obama and company. What we don’t know is how much spying went on and who the targets were? We also don’t know what happened to the data? This is like what happened to the FBI files the Clintons transfered to private computers while they were in the White House, was Obama building a data base of bad behavior like the Clintons did? If this is true (given the other behavior of Obama and company it probably is) we now have two competing data bases being used to blackmail the Dems (possibly 3 given Wasserman Schultz and her Pakistani IT people in the House) This will make draining the swamp/flushing out the sewer much more difficult.

The future just got scarier and when you add in the actions of the antifa/Bamn/Black LIves Matters groups and the shooting at the Trump Golf Course in Florida more violent. While on this subject we don’t want to forget the massive numbers of illegal aliens who are members of criminal gangs that can be turned into militias for the left.
