  1. Three student journalists are suing the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign for allegedly violating their rights to free press, free speech, and due process.
The lawsuit claims the students were punished for reporting on an anti-Trump rally, during which two of them were assaulted by a graduate student instructor who was participating in the demonstration.
The third student was also issued a restraining order merely for reporting on the altercation, and claims that he was told by an administrator that he should stop writing if he wanted the situation to improve.

    • She is also going after the Attorney General who is running for Congress, as far as I can discover not many people believe her but there may be a lot more in the big cities.

      • Right now she is under fire for withholding evidence that shows the Governor is innocent.

    • What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander.

Someone in the state should take a hit for the team, and say they dreamed that President Obama was a gay, muslim communist.

Oh, and that Michelle shaves her face.

That should set the cat amongst the pigeons.

      • Seriously, this article is a classic find.
        What an opportunity.
        Who needs evidence?

OK, I’m going to use this mode of accusation in normal life-

        “I HAD A DREAM, THAT…”

Imagine the places I can go, I’m only restricted by my imagination.

And my imagination. when it comes to the evil of the “left”, has no boundaries…

  2. A Latino-led business coalition is trying to block a Florida state constitutional amendment that would penalize companies which hire illegal immigrants.
A volunteer group of pro-American reformers is fighting to get the wage-raising E-Verify measure on the November ballot. “This is a David and Goliath situation … I’m fighting billionaires, and I’m just a regular construction guy,” said Jack Oliver, a former construction worker who is now director of Floridians for E-Verify Now. Without an E-Verify system which forces companies to bar illegals from jobs, company foremen won’t hire and train Americans, Oliver said, adding:

    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201804101063383453-uk-missiles-factory-saudi-arabia/

“Over a dozen anti-war activists staged on Monday a blockade of an alleged missile factory in the UK county of Worcestershire at a site owned by the Roxel company manufacturing equipment for rockets and missiles after claiming to have uncovered evidence of the mass assembly of missiles intended for export to Saudi Arabia at the facility.

Jointly owned by the Paris-based Safran group and the Europe-wide armaments manufacturer MBDA, Roxel manufactures an assortment of propulsion systems intended for air to air, air to ground and ground to ground launched missile systems, something anti-war groups fear are being purchased by Saudi Arabia…”

    • A couple of non-empty missiles lobbed either way in the past could have solved a lot of problems between Tehran and Riyadh.

Nevermind, Riyadh’s finally joined the 21st century after getting the note, now it’s the mullahs turn to wake up. Maybe that incompetent fool of a pretend president, Trump can do that next week. I mean Barak was sooo much better at everything.

    • Iranian-sponsored activists.
France, like her little buddy Qatar, is playing both sides of the gutter. Guaranteed to be splashed with filth.
Qatar-citizens comprise only 15% of the population there. They have relocation options. Residents of France aren’t that flexible.

  4. India says shelling by Pakistan kills 2 soldiers in Kashmir (abcnews, Apr 10, 2018)
    http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/india-shelling-pakistan-kills-soldiers-kashmir-54355007

“India says two of its soldiers have been killed in firing by Pakistani troops along the highly militarized frontier that divides disputed Kashmir between the two rivals.

Indian army spokesman Col. Nitin Joshi said Tuesday that Pakistani soldiers used mortars and automatic gunfire overnight to strike at Indian positions in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control in violation of the cease-fire accord of 2003 between the nuclear-armed neighbors.

Joshi said Indian soldiers retaliated “strongly and effectively.”

There was immediately no reaction from Pakistan.

In the past, both countries have accused the other of initiating border skirmishes leading to casualties on both sides.

India and Pakistan have a long history of bitter relations over Kashmir, a Himalayan territory claimed by both in its entirety.”

    • Let’s all get real and simply admit that the LoC (Line of Control) is a live-fire, basic training exercise.

      Isn’t that a lot easier?

      • The problem is that it may shift from live fire training into one front on a war between China and India. China is moving to block India from doing anything to help the other nations threatened by China. This situation is still simmering with no one on our side knowing what is going to happen. If India is ready (they may or may not be, there are mixed signals) they can take Pakistan and may be able to hold their own with China.

        • True dat, unfortunately.

Indian nukes I can understand with a good neighbour like Pak.

But seriously WTF is India doing with a space program?
I understand the prestige, mil & civ satellites etc.

But multi-millions of children and adults there STILL have no clean WATER, modern sewerage, electricity, EDUCATION, good/enough FOOD etc.

          SICKENING.

          • And they still send soldiers to die holding the glaciers, without enough support, warm clothes, etc.
Sick, evil bastards at the top.

          • China, they have a space program and India can’t let China take control of the space above them. If you control space you can set up there and throw rocks or titanium steel rods to destroy you enemies. If they are on earth they are at the bottom of a Gravity Well and anything you throw at the people in orbit is easy to pick off on its way up.

        • China is moving to block India from doing anything to help the other nations threatened by China.

Thank you, Richard. This is a serious issue. As in, One Step Beyond the military occupation of Tibet and into the realm of proactive aggression. The same goes with respect to Beijing’s micro-empire-building in the South China Sea. Installation of military-grade ECM (Electronic Counter-Measures or electromagnetic “Jamming” facilities) in the Spratly Islands should be setting off klaxons in every last non-Communist chart room.

It’s time for India to fight or fü¢k fish or cut bait. Modi’s continuation of the Subcontinent’s endless dalliance with widow-making Russian MiG-21 hardware is the sort of coy, fence-sitting that has no useful place in our modern strategy map.

We may have survived the Cold War but we are still in the Old War™.

The forces of (Socialist–Communist) evil remain in play and our world is the worse for it. Venezuela, anyone?!?

          • I am sure alarms are going off, the big question is will Trump survive to help them fight off China? The actions in New York City yesterday are being celebrated in enemy capitals right now. the more this distracts us the further they will get.

  5. Dear friends of Freedom,

    Please continue visiting VladTepesBlog,

    BUT, CHECK OUT the following two sites that feature legally dumped military intelligence (cut-and-paste address into top of browser WITHOUT spaces);

    “http://www.8ch .net/ qr esearch .net/“. (<- NO SPACES)
Try “Qres earch” general board, or see pdfs maps, or “side-by-side”

    Also- “http://www.thestory o fq.co m” (again no spaces!)

There is a lot of truth being revealed there and it is very pertinent to our interests, and not a hoax IMHO. I have followed it from the beginning. There is disinformation, but I am sure that readers of this fantastic site are all intelligent enough to see through it.

Maybe individually you have the piece of the truth jigsaw that is missing.

The information being revealed will probably give you new perspectives on things that are happening, and will strengthen your resolve.

The war is continuing behind the play that the controlled media gives us each day.

    Good luck my freedom-loving friends.
Hope to meet some of you in the real world once things calm down.

      • PS.
I was confident we would eventually win before, BUT, now I am much more confident. And with much less casualties in souls, bodies, and advanced civilised societies than before. So take that as you will.

Not much more to say than this situation is out of control. When the “gov’t” seizes attorney/client docs we are in a whole new reality.
Two of the greatest blues men, STAT!

    • You got that right.

Go down the thread and read my stream of consciousness explanation of what his happening. Be sure and read the full J.E. Dyrer article on this, as she points out in the final paragraph the US as we know it will not survive this action. We are in a full scale constitutional crisis that will (probably) turn into a civil war.

      • Nah, this is a red herring.

The real constitutional crisis will start once the real truth finally comes out about our best pal Lightning From Heaven Obama (BHO, “44”).

This is a emotional lead-on for the public, so they get all worked up about a “constituional crisis”, and then it’s a nothing. It is meant to polarize. But this “scandal” and other DJT “scandals” will hopefully have woken up the general population, so they are either for olr against impeaching DJT (45) immediately.

THEN the truth about BHO etc drops.

THEN we can go around saying “Remember? I told you so!”

          • Hope you are wrong Richard, but I’m prepared to do some public service if need be. Most seem to be still in a dream here under the smiling dictatorship of Brussels but it is different in different countries, even adjacent ones. Should be short and sweet over there surely, most lefties only have and literally know how to use a bong? Feeding themselves will also be a problem when JIT runs out in the cities.
I don’t think it will be a true cw there.
Here, well that’s another kettle of fish, and much better odds than 50/50 if not handled better.
Wife won’t listen and take the kids for an (extended) international holiday elsewhere.
Oldies are fatalistic- “oh I’m just a small person, it’s better I don’t know about the bombs dropping, what can I do?”
Get angry and get even when necessary, I say.

            • It will not last long over here. You know the situation over there much better then me, hope you make it through the coming chaos. On youtube I saw the advertisment of a video on how to make a 500 fps air rigle into an arros shooting device.

              • Me too!
Not my preferred bunker for nuclear tests.
                Ty for link.
Hope to score from Police or Army when SHTF, else other options.

    • My mother, 35 years ago, wondered why blacks supported the policy of the gov’t.
35 YEARS AGO IT WAS CLEAR WHERE THIS POLICY WOULD SEND AFRICAN AMERICANS.
And yet, they continued to align themselves with politicians that advocated open borders… (I live in a castle, not even in your district, and you live in a slum) Maxine Waters is a perfect example.
I drove those streets for several years with my pit bull in order to do my job. She would have given her life for me and my family. Can Maxine Waters say the same?

      • They supported the Dems becasue LBJ appointed a black to the Supreme Court and the news media told them it was the Dems who would help them. The Repubs were trying to get them to help themselves and they decided they liked welfare to work.

Destruction of the black (& white etc) nuclear family.

The good news? They’re all reversible.

Remember, unlike here in the middle of the evil empire,
          you still have:

          The Constitution.
          The Bill of Rights
          The 1st Amendment,
          which is protected by
          The 2nd Amendment

So, it’s just a degree of shitty, depending on how you look at it.

And you have DJT and crew, supposedly sitting on an only 51% approval rating, probaly done by Hillary’s pollsters.

          • We do have it better, we have one group trying a soft coup and another group committing political suicide trying to destroy the 2nd Amendment. We are rediscovering why the Second Amendment was put in the Constitution. After things quiet down over there I am willing to bet a lot of the European nations try to find a way to get something like the 2nd Amendment.

    • Some different actors.

Speculation they are acting out a future false-flag gas/nerve agent attack for the benefit of their propaganda.

  7. Mueller is investigating a $150,000 payment a pro-Russian oligarch made to the Trump Foundation during the campaign

The special counsel Robert Mueller is looking into a large donation a pro-Russian Ukrainian oligarch made to the Trump Foundation in September 2015 after then-candidate Donald Trump gave a video talk at a conference in Kiev, Ukraine, The New York Times reported.

At the time, Trump was one of several Republicans vying for the 2016 presidential nomination. In August 2015, Doug Schoen, a political consultant who works for the Ukrainian billionaire and steel magnate Victor Pinchuk, personally contacted Trump to set up the speech, according to the report.

Trump accepted the request but reportedly did not broach the subject of any payment. However, his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, is said to have called Schoen the next day to ask for a $150,000 fee from Pinchuk in exchange for the talk.

The revelation comes as Mueller investigates the flow of foreign money into the Trump campaign and Trump’s personal business. The special counsel is also examining whether administration officials used their influence within the White House to benefit their personal finances.

President Donald Trump hit back at the FBI’s dramatic Monday raid on his longtime personal attorney hours after it happened with a blistering attack on the special counsel, federal investigators and his own attorney general.

FBI agents swooped in on the offices of Michael Cohen on Monday – seizing a trove of documents related to the porn star Stormy Daniels case and communications between the attorney and the president, in a dramatic escalation of Robert Mueller’s special counsel probe.

They took his phone, personal computer and bank records – and Cohen is now being investigated for both possible bank fraud and campaign finance violations.

    • From what was said on FOX this morning the lawyer took out a $135,000 loan on his house to pay off Stormy Daniels, he then put the money on his next bill to Trump. Mueller is checking to see what he told the bank, if he told the bank the money was for something else that was Bank Fraud.

This one doesn’t pass the smell test, they let Dems go because there was no intent to break the law (commit a crime). The lawyer knew he was going to pay the bank the money he borrowed so where was the intent?

      • IMHO, Stormy is part of a play for Trump’s benefit.
I think he loaned/gave her money when she desperately needed it in her life.

  9. ‘Caravan’ Tells CNN They’re All Going to America

A CNN reporter asked who was going to stay in Mexico, and who would continue to the United States. All indicated America.

CNN’s Leila Santiago, covering the immigrant “caravan” moving through Mexico and toward the United States in recent weeks, asked the travelers where they intended to go on Monday. All who answered indicated that they would go to the United States to seek asylum.

Santiago first claimed that many of the migrants would stay in Mexico, and she asked those on the bus where they would go.

“They are fleeing violence from gangs that are controlling the areas in Honduras, Guatemala, El Savador, where they live,” she said. “Many of them will stay in Mexico.”

They did not back up her claim.

  10. Russia has figured out how to jam U.S. drones in Syria, officials say
Four U.S. officials said Russia’s signal scrambling has seriously affected military operations.

WASHINGTON — The Russian military has been jamming some U.S. military drones operating in the skies over Syria, seriously affecting American military operations, according to four U.S. officials.

The Russians began jamming some smaller U.S. drones several weeks ago, the officials said, after a series of suspected chemical weapons attacks on civilians in rebel-held eastern Ghouta. The Russian military was concerned the U.S. military would retaliate for the attacks and began jamming the GPS systems of drones operating in the area, the officials explained.

BEIJING (AP) — President Xi Jinping promised Tuesday to cut China’s auto tariffs and improve intellectual property protection in possible concessions aimed at defusing a worsening dispute with Washington over trade and technology that investors worry could set back the global economic recovery.

Speaking at a business conference, Xi made no direct mention of his American counterpart, Donald Trump, or the dispute. He promised progress on areas that are U.S. priorities including opening China’s banking industry and boosting imports but didn’t address key irritants for Washington such as a requirement for foreign companies to work through joint ventures that require them to give technology to potential local competitors.

Richard Pan is a far left California state senator.

Pan recently introduced legislation to crack down on free speech on the internet.

Pan’s legislation would force online publishers to utilize state-sanctioned fact checkers to approve content before it is posted online.

    • Calif is showing that it is a Fascist/Communist state, they are seeking to remove the Free Speech and Second Amendment Rights. I expect the Supreme Court of the United States will knock down these attacks, but this won’t stop the left they are out to take over the nation (then the world) and deny everyone the right to do anything they disagree with.

Pay close attention, this is going to get worse before it gets better, a whole lot worse.

  15. Mueller’s raid on Trump’s lawyer: Good news and bad news
    By J.E. Dyer April 9, 2018

There’s actually some good news lurking in the raid conducted by the FBI Monday on Trump lawyer Michael Cohen. The good news is that it means Special Counsel Robert Mueller has nothing on Trump.

With this raid on Trump’s lawyer, which reportedly included seizing materials that would relate to Cohen’s lawyer-client privilege with the president, Mueller has torched any future indictment he might have envisioned against Trump.

If Mueller had anything to go after Trump with, he presumably would not have signed off on this. To have any hope of building an indictable case (or even a merely impeachable one, in the wholly political venue of Congress), Mueller would have to avoid such super-colossal procedural errors as violating privilege. Every usual-suspect expert who has weighed in today – Alan Dershowitz, Andrew McCarthy, a half-dozen attorneys whom I happen to follow on Twitter – has said the reports on the raids (of Cohen’s home and office) seemed to indicate a shocking lack of precautions against improper seizure of materials.

A prosecutorial witch hunt spins out of control.
          2018-04-10T00:55:00-04:00
          Matthew Vadum

The shocking raid on the office, home, and Manhattan hotel room of President Trump’s longtime personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, directed by a rogue independent prosecutor is the latest outrage in an out-of-control investigation aimed at reversing the results of the 2016 election.

The raid Monday that was directed by Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III was a “disgrace” and a “pure and simple witch hunt,” President Trump told reporters at the White House.

“It’s an attack on our country in a true sense. It’s an attack on what we all stand for.”

Trump’s comments fueled speculation that he will try to fire Mueller, something the president had been avoiding talking about publicly. Some lawmakers say terminating Mueller could lead to a constitutional crisis.

“We’ll see what happens. … Many people have said ‘you should fire him,’ ” Trump said when asked if he would give Mueller the boot. “Again, they found nothing and in finding nothing, that’s a big statement.”

Former U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder has threatened violent unrest if Trump fires Mueller. On Dec. 17 the nearly impeached Obama cabinet official tweeted:

The Michael Cohen raids are a shocking and almost unprecedented abuse of power. But not entirely unprecedented.

Plenty of people who wound up on the wrong side of Federal prosecutors faced ruthless treatment. There’s a reason that they have the conviction rates that they do. But we generally thought that the people it was directed at had it coming. Mobsters and other types of organized crime posed an unprecedented threat. And so they were met with a uniquely unleashed system.

There were others. White collar criminals. Famous people who could be used to smooth a Federal prosecutor’s path to fame, fortune and higher office. And who really liked Martha Stewart anyway?

In recent years, Preet Bharara provided a disturbing master class in destroying the top of the local political class. The prosecutions eventually fell apart, but by then the damage had been done. Most people shrugged. These days, Preet Bharara can be seen everywhere breathlessly predicting new disasters for Trump.

And then, they came for us.

        • The Steele Dossier, Stormy Daniels and the Mueller Raid
          2018-04-09T18:53:51-04:00
          Daniel Greenfield

We have multiple stories out claiming that the Michael Cohen raid was about Stormy Daniels.

Here’s what WaPo is currently claiming. “Trump attorney Cohen is being investigated for possible bank fraud, campaign finance violations, according to a person familiar with the case.”

Like a lot of anonymously sourced material in Team Coup media, this could turn out to be garbage. But it seems fairly credible and in keeping with Mueller’s tactics. Find a string, pull on it, if you can’t pull on it personally, pass it along to someone who can. This is the sort of thing that Federal prosecutors do. And it’s why they have such high conviction rates even when they don’t have actual evidence.

Among other things, this is likely to trigger a significant reevaluation of some of those powers and tactics.

The problem with pulling on the Stormy Daniels string is that the entire basis for this witchhunt was the Steele Dossier. And that was covertly paid for by a Clinton law firm. And was lied about on FEC disclosures.

It goes without saying that no actual action will be taken.

Dem violations invariably fall under the, “Everybody does it” defense. That’s how Clintonworld handled the Steele Dossier fallout. GOP violations are always a scandal. And anything Trump does is grounds for trial and impeachment. It’s not just how the media plays the game. It’s how Team Coup within the DOJ and Mueller are playing it. Now it’s time to shut down the game.

        • Mueller Must Go
          2018-04-09T17:30:30-04:00
          Daniel Greenfield

Today’s FBI raid signals that Mueller will be using the same tactics against President Trump as he did against Manafort and other targets. That includes going after privileged communications.

Does anyone doubt that he can find a friendly judge that will sign off on any abuse of power as long as it’s directed against President Trump?

This needs to end. And it needs to end now.

    • This whole thing is murky to me. DId Stormy Daniels demand all this money to not talk about something and then she talked about it?

Isn’t blackmail illegal? And breach of contract? So, why isn’t she in jail again for both?

      • I don’t know everything but I do know she was offered money and took it for silence on the affair. The push to get money could probably be considered extortion but so far no one has complained to the local or Federal Police about her actions.

Breach of Contract is a civil violation not a criminal one, you get a lawyer and sue, a lot of what is going on is posturing before a law suit is filed. If one is filed, suing would make Trump look worse.

The big thing I see is the seizing of all of the records in the office and house. This probably violates lawyer/client privilege, and if Cohen has any other clients their files were taken also which violates their lawyer client privilege.

The whole thing doesn’t pass the smell test, it seems to be Special Counsel over reach, this over reach shows that Mueller and his team are simply on a witch hunt to over turn the 2016 election. I am sure that there is more out there that I haven’t heard yet, I will read the Dyer article and listen to other talking heads and get back with you when I know more.

This one isn’t going to go away and will widen the divide between left and (in my opinion) everyone else. Think of this as the new move in the quiet coup, a move that was probably a big mistake.

        • IMH (and worthless) O, Stormy is part of a play for Trump’s benefit.
I think he loaned/gave her money when she desperately needed it in her life.
Also the soap with TrumpJr, who is actually the supposed link.
All to give the Ds & media enough rope to detroy themselves.

Follow my links above , R & NR.

      • I am listening to a Mark Levin interview with Andrew McCarthy ( http://therightscoop.com/mark-levin-and-andrew-mccarthy-discuss-cohen-raid-full-interview/ ) it is a two part interview both parts are on the page.

Dyrer hits the main points on what is wrong with this raid, as she points out (lawyers told her this) the raid on Cohen’s office and apartment show Mueller has nothing on Trump and according to the lawyers this raid means that any possible indictment or impeachment has been fately wounded by the raids.

She also points out that this seems to be the actions of an FBI and DOJ that are out of control and are trying to set themselves up as the people who decide who will be allowed to serve in the US Government. I know that is pushing it some but not much. Here is the final paragraph of her article:

Only one person was elected president by due process in 2016, and it was not Mueller, Chuck Schumer, or the editors of the nation’s major news outlets. Trump has been adhering to the rules, waiting on due process of law. Mueller has shown more than once that he is not. It’s starting to create an exceptional trail of bad faith in the legal system — something America, as we know her, won’t survive. This has gone on long enough.

Obama said he was going to fundamentally change the United States, he has succeeded in that goal, this attack on the sanctity of the elections and the rule of law has destroyed the trust in the legal system that the majority of people had. God alone knows how long it will take to re-establish that faith, assuming the good guys win, but it will be many many decades.

This is going to grow into a massive constitutional crisis which will probably devolve into a civil war. Listen to the Sara Carter (and others) interview and to Mark Levin. They are telling what is know now, you can also pray for sanity to return to the US but that is asking for a major miracle.

      • The more I read the more I am convinced this is at attempt to force Cohen to testify against President Trump. The witch hunt by Team Coup (Hat Tip D. Greenberg) hasn’t been able to discover any wrong doling on the part of the President or any of his people so they are setting up things to be able to charge the President on a procedural crime like not remembering the exact words used in past statements.

The Deep State is getting desperate and we can expect this witch hunt to last for the entirety of of the Trump Administration, both terms. We can also expect his same tactic to be used against more of Trumps people and possibly even against his family. They went after Flynn’s son to get him to confess to a crime he didn’t commit. Does anyone think they won’t go after Trumps Family?

Did Stormy Daniels take money and then break the contract? From what I have seen yes but breach of contract is a civil crime and they must be punished by you suing and collecting damages. People who are as rich as President Trump are harassed like this all the time, they have line items in their budgets to pay off the harassers since this is usually cheaper then going to court. They only go to court if the harasser keeps harassing them. Will Trump sue Stormy? Not while he is in office, once he is out of office things open up a lot and he can fight back without loosing votes. The think we have to watch our for is that the left is destroying civilization and the rule of law, the first is gone and the latter is struggling to continue. If they succeed in destroying the rule of law the rich won’t have line items in the budget to pay off harassers they will have line items in the budget to make them disappear permanently, you know like the Clintons make troubles go away.

    • IM(worthless)O, Mueller has been under control for a long time, probably since the face-to-face where he was read the Riot Act, and given a choice.

This is all part of the play- enjoy the Kabuki.

      • Mueller’s been a dirty cop for decades. Boston’s corrupt FBI franchise. Made his bones dealing with the Winter Hill gang of Whitey Bolger.

  17. If black lives really mattered, these two would have received more than a slap on the wrist
By Ben Bowles April 10, 2018

You are looking at the mugshots of 20-year-old Tommy Williams (top), and 19-year-old Clarence Williams. Last week, both were in court for sentencing following their conviction for gang-raping a 13-year-old at an apartment complex in Colorado Springs in December 2016.

    Their sentence? Probation.

Now their attorneys will tell you this isn’t your garden-variety probation. As CBS affiliate KKTV reports, both will undergo a “minimum of 10 years of sex offender intensive supervised probation, with a maximum of life on probation.”

  18. Mueller investigates Ukrainian’s $150K donation to Trump charity, but not his $13 million to Clinton Foundation
By LU Staff April 10, 2018

The special counsel’s office is investigating a $150,000 donation a Ukrainian businessman made to President Donald Trump’s charity in 2015, according to a new report.

The donation, from steel magnate Victor Pinchuk, pales in comparison to contributions he gave to the charity Bill and Hillary Clinton set up. The billionaire has contributed $13 million to the Clinton Foundation since 2006 and had access to Hillary Clinton while she served as secretary of state.

But Special Counsel Robert Mueller is not investigating the Clintons. Instead, he is conducting a broad investigation of Donald Trump, including the flow of foreign money into various Trump-controlled entities.

Mueller began investigating the Pinchuk donation after receiving documents in response to a subpoena issued to the Trump Organization — the real estate company Trump ran before entering politics.

  20. Russia Denies Reports About Blocking Signals From US Drones in Syria (sputniknews, Apr 10, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201804101063393678-russia-drones-syria-block/

“The Russian military has been scrambling some US military drones performing in Syria, seriously disrupting American military operations, the channel NBC announced, citing anonymous US officials.

According to US officials, the Russians had started blocking some smaller US drones several weeks ago after a “series of alleged chemical weapons attacks on civilians in Eastern Ghouta.” The NBC network’s sources stated that the Russian military was concerned that the US military would take revenge for the attacks and began jamming the GPS systems of the drones operating in the area.

“GPS receivers in most drones can be fairly easily jammed,” Dr. Todd Humphreys, the director of the Radionavigation Laboratory at the University of Texas at Austin said.

The Defense Department cannot with certainty state whether the jamming is the cause of the drones crashing, according to the operational security.

“The US military maintains sufficient countermeasures and protections to ensure the safety of our manned and unmanned aircraft, our forces and the missions they support,” said Pentagon spokesman Eric Pahon.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security Yevgeny Serebrennikov has denied reports that Russia has blocked signals of US drones in Syria.

“This is more fake information from American media, which appears so often in recent times. Russia has repeatedly said that its actions, including in Syria, are made only in accordance with international treaties, such actions could not really have taken place,” Serebrennikov said…”

  21. 9/11 Families Seek US Gov’t Records to Help With Saudi Arabia Lawsuit (sputniknews, Apr 10, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/us/201804101063407292-911-us-records-saudi/

“Victims’ relatives are planning to step up pressure on US intelligence agencies to turn over records about the September 11 attacks as their lawsuit against the Saudi government gathers pace.

At a news conference on April 9 Brett Eagleson, whose father was killed in the twin towers, said that the plaintiffs are planning a grassroots effort to force the CIA, the FBI and others to turn over information that could cast new light on potential Saudi complicity in the attacks.

“The 9/11 families aren’t going anywhere,” said Eagleson. “We had my dad’s grandchildren in the audience today who want to know the truth about what happened to their grandfather.”

    The Lawsuit

In 2003 hundreds of bereaved relatives and 9/11 survivors sued the Saudi Arabian government for complicity in the attacks and for sponsoring charities that supported Al Qaeda. The Saudi government has consistently denied any involvement in the attacks. In March a federal court judge rejected a Saudi motion to dismiss the lawsuit, ruling that the court has jurisdiction under in the 2016 Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act.

While then-President Barack Obama vetoed the legislation congress pushed it through, allowing the lawsuits against the Saudi government to progress. Sen. Richard Blumenthal, who was among those who lead the support for the legislation, appeared at the news conference alongside Eagleson. Blumenthal said he will help the plaintiffs in their struggle to get more information disclosed. “This fight for justice is about more than just these families. It is to deter also state sponsors of terrorism,” Blumenthal said.

Lawyers acting on behalf of the families filed a subpoena recently, demanding that the FBI produce several documents that are still classified and withheld from public scrutiny, and that they remove redactions from other files that were previously made public.
In the opinion of long-time 9/11 justice activist Jon Gold, all of these records should be released in full. Gold told Sputnik, “Everything having to do with the lead up to 9/11, after action reports, PDBs, basically, anything having to do with 9/11 should be released immediately and completely unredacted. The families of the victims, and the people of the world deserve to see these things happen.”

    The Saudi Connections

Of the nineteen hijackers identified as the culprits behind the 9/11 attacks, fifteen were from Saudi Arabia. The FBI investigated some Saudi diplomats and others who were working for the Saudi government, but the 9/11 Commission found, “no evidence that the Saudi government as an institution or senior Saudi officials individually funded” the attacks.

It is likely that the new information being sought by the families concerns Saudi support for two of the hijackers on the plane that hit the Pentagon – Nawaf al Hazmi and Khalid Al Mihdhar. The two had been watchlisted in Saudi Arabia in the late 1990s for their role in a weapons-smuggling scheme, but obtained multiple-entry visas for the US from the consulate in Jeddah.

They were monitored by the CIA and NSA via the Al Qaeda communications hub in Yemen, and were tracked to a major Al Qaeda summit in Kuala Lumpur in January 2000. When they travelled to the US shortly after the summit, arriving at LAX, the CIA’s dedicated Bin Laden unit known as Alec Station deliberately withheld this information from the FBI.
Meanwhile, two Saudis with close connections to the Saudi government appear to have provided a support network for Al Hazmi and Al Mihdhar. Omar Al-Bayoumihelped the two move to San Diego, including giving them money and finding them somewhere to live. Osama Basnan, whose wife was receiving money from Prince Bandar’s wife, is also alleged to have given financial support to the pair in San Diego.

The infamous 28 pages from the congressional Joint Inquiry into 9/11 details several other Saudi government officials and contacts who supported some of the hijackers. Shayk al-Thumairy, an accredited diplomat at the Saudi consulate in Los Angeles, also seems to have been helping Al Hazmi and Al Mihdhar. Likewise Osama Bin Laden’s half brother Abdullah Bin Laden claimed to have been working for the Saudi embassy in Washington DC, while associating with lead hijacker Mohammed Atta.”

  22. April 10 2018 – France: Tensions running high as evacuation of ZAD camp continues

Police and ZAD activists engaged in fierce clashes at a protest camp near Notre-Dame-des-Landes near Nantes on Tuesday.

The activists were driven back by a tear gas as they attempted to remain on the site. They erected barricades which police tried to destroy with an armoured vehicle. Activists threw smoke bombs and Molotov cocktails in response.

The eco-activists of ZAD (Zone a Defendre/Zone to Defend) initially came together in 2008 to protest against a proposed airport in Nantes.

The plan was recently abandoned, however it is estimated that up to 200 activists remain at the site and refuse to leave it, despite evacuation orders and forced eviction threats by authorities.

    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201804101063398629-weapons-chemical-ministry-douma/

“The Russian Defense Ministry has sent a chemical corps commission to Syria’s Douma to investigate the alleged use of chemical weapons, several days after a number of countries accused Damascus of staging the attack.

According to a representative of the Russian military in Syria, the commission has visited a hospital in Douma and questioned witnesses to investigate the alleged use of nerve agents.

The expert group has found no traces of chemical poisoning with chlorine or sarin.

Last week, several Syrian opposition online media outlets reported, citing militants that the Syrian Army had used chlorine in the town of Douma and killed up to 70 people.

Following the reports, a number of states, including the US, accused Damascus of staging the attack, while German Chancellor Angela Merkel said earlier in the day that evidence of the use of chemical weapons in Syria is “clear and explicit”.

The Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria has categorically refuted the reports. The Center’s representatives visited the place of the alleged attack and questioned local doctors, who said that they had not received individuals with symptoms of any chemical poisoning.”

Can you imagine a public university banning free speech and threatening arrests over flyers exposing anti-Semitism and warning about a student group funded by terrorists that promotes their propaganda?
But that’s exactly what happened to the Freedom Center at the University of Texas at San Antonio.

“Disciplina Praesidium Civitatis” is the Latin motto that circles the seal of the University of Texas. The University of Texas system motto is a latinized quote from the second president of the Republic of Texas, “A cultivated mind is the guardian genius of democracy.”

The University of Texas at San Antonio disgraced the motto by banning any flyers and posters from the David Horowitz Freedom Center under threat of criminal prosecution. The threatening letter from UTSA contains a “criminal trespass warning” to “the David Horowitz Freedom Center and its members.”

  26. TORONTO SUN – FUREY: YouTube suspends Canadian anti-terror expert

Canadian intelligence expert Tom Quiggin has quite the resume. He’s worked with the RCMP, Canadian Armed Forces, the UN Protection Force in Yugoslavia, to name but a few. He’s testified before the Senate and at the Air India Inquiry. He was even an arms control inspector in Europe.

Yet, these extensive qualifications apparently aren’t enough for YouTube, which removed Quiggin’s new podcast from its platform before he even posted the first episode.

On Feb. 24, a trailer for The Quiggin Report — running less than a minute — was posted to the video platform now run by Google. All it shows is the logo of the show and snippets of audio referencing extremism and political correctness. Hardly controversial content.

Yet by March 1, Quiggin and his producers were unable to access their accounts – both on YouTube and the Gmail account they’d been using for the show.

They then received a message stating: “Your access to this Google product has been suspended because of a perceived violation of either the Google Terms of Service or product-specific Terms of Service.”

After appealing the suspension they were soon told: “We have decided to keep your account suspended based on our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.” They were never informed what actual guidelines or terms they’d violated.

“We really are at a loss to explain how a 44-second trailer can get you banned, but we believe that simply using the term “free speech” in conjunction with security, extremism and terrorism can trigger progressives,” Quiggin told me via e-mail.

A long-time media commentator, Quiggin has been a guest speaker at a number of conferences and regular discusses intelligence matters on National Post Radio, the SiriusXM Canada morning show that I host.

Quiggin’s a determined observer and critic of radical Islam, working alongside a handful of Canadian Muslims who want to expose the extreme elements they wish to eradicate from their faith.

A fundraising page describes the new podcast as giving “behind-the-scenes insight into the world of intelligence and how Western governments deal with the growing phenomenon of extremist groups gaining influence within Western governments.”

He certainly doesn’t mince words in this regard, repeatedly drawing attention to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s habit of being soft on terror. Was it this sort of talk that got his podcast banned before his team even had the chance to post the first episode? We just don’t know. Google Press did not respond to Postmedia questions before deadline.

As for Quiggin, he sees a double standard. “It seems strange that YouTube and others attack free speech advocates, but yet they allow videos by individuals such as Yusuf Qaradawi who is the chief inspirational cleric of the Muslim Brotherhood,” he wrote.

A double standard indeed. There’s already a growing chorus of concern over YouTube censorship. It’s a problem that’s been going on for years and only seems to be getting worse.

Those on the receiving end of such perceived censorship have generally taken to just venting their frustrations online. But last week one woman took her grievances with the company to extreme and criminal lengths, allegedly shooting multiple people at YouTube headquarters before killing herself. Police are still combing through the background of animal rights activist Nasim Aghdam, but her family claimed she was mad at YouTube for their “suppression.”

While The Quiggin Report isn’t expecting to return to YouTube anytime soon, it has gone on to find a home at outlets such as iTunes and Soundcloud.

  27. ‘More Hungarians share Viktor Orban’s anti-immigration stance than just his party supporters’ (RT, Apr 10, 2018)
    https://www.rt.com/news/423708-orban-support-hungary-migrants-eu/

‘The landslide victory for the party of Hungarian PM Viktor Orban has been criticized within the EU and cheered by Euroskeptics, but most agree that it was his stance on the European migrant crisis that secured the popular support.

The decisive election win for the Fidesz Party was “a surprise,” to Gabor Stier, political commentator for the Hungarian Magyar Nemzet newspaper, who says Orban used people’s fear of immigrants to secure the win.

“Everybody was sure that Orban and Fidesz would achieve victory. But getting two thirds of the ballot (133 seats out of 199 in the parliament) for the third time in a row was more than they expected themselves,” he said.

Anti-migration rhetoric became a key factor in Prime Minister Orban’s success as “three years ago he sensed that things weren’t going the way they should and showed an alternative – for domestic use, at least,” Stier explained. The Hungarian PM refused to take in refugees as part of a quota for the EU member states despite pressure from the bloc, and he blasted Brussels over its failed migration policies.

Stier says Orban “used the fears of the population” to his advantage during his campaign. “The people came to the polling stations on Sunday thinking that the main thing is protecting Hungary from migrants, whom we don’t have here. We have stability now and if the opposition comes to power it’ll bring turmoil and chaos. So, let it stay the way it is despite the existing problems.”

The PM will continue to implement his anti-migrant policies throughout his third term in office as he “set the stakes too high,” said Mariann Ory, political commentator for the Hungarian Magyar Hirlap paper. “One wrong decision now, one step on the road to become an immigrant country would determine Hungary’s future for decades and, based on the failed integration experiences of Western Europe, there’s no way back after such a decision.”

Orban has been labelled nationalist in Europe for his refusal to let asylum seekers in, but “We don’t consider it ‘far right,'” said Ory. “On the contrary, Hungary supports a migration policy based on common sense, instead of the open-borders policy of Western Europe, that proved to be dangerous,” she added.

“More people agree with Fidesz’s anti-migration stance than the core voter base of Fidesz,” Ory continued, commenting on the ruling party’s election success. “Also, Fidesz’s governance produced several results in aspects of welfare, family support, wage rises.”

Stier described Orban as “a successful, talented and creative politician; a populist in the finest sense of this word, on most occasions.” The emphasis on the anti-migrant issue made him a politician of a European scale and put Hungary on the continents political map, he added.

“It will be easier for Orban to talk with the EU [about migration] after his victory, because the European democracies respect those with public support. His position will be stronger now. But it doesn’t mean that there won’ be problems as this struggle continues,” said the analyst…”

Sparks fly between Russia and the U.S. at the UN Security Council.

President Trump condemned a suspected chemical weapons attack over the weekend on the rebel-held Damascus suburb of Douma that reportedly took the lives of more than forty people, including children. The president blamed Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s regime for unleashing what appears to have been deadly chlorine gas. “This is about humanity — it can’t be allowed to happen,” the president said. “If it’s Russia, if it’s Syria, if it’s Iran, if it’s all of them together, we’ll figure it out.” Referring to Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Trump warned: “Everybody’s going to pay a price — he will, everybody will.” The president said Monday evening that he was receiving more definitive information on what had happened, that he had a lot of military options on the table and that he would respond “forcefully.”

For their part, the Syrian regime and Russia denied that any such chemical attack had even taken place. Putin warned against any “provocation and speculation on this matter.”

Syrian forces, backed by the Russian military and Iranian militias, have been mounting an offensive to retake several towns that have been rebel-occupied, including Douma, in a region known as Eastern Ghouta. They have surrounded and bombarded the area, cutting it off from vital humanitarian aid. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, more than 1600 people have died as a result and tens of thousands of people have fled. The alleged chemical attack in Douma, said to be the last remaining town in the region still in rebel hands, appeared to have come from one or more Syrian government aircraft. The alleged chemical attack would fit into the Syrian regime’s larger pattern of exerting maximum pressure on the civilian population of rebel-held areas to the point of forcing a surrender.

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/04/10/asylum-shopping-8000-refugees-eu-second-asylum-application-germany/

“More than 8,000 migrants granted refugee status in European Union member-states made a second “inadmissible” asylum application to Germany last year.

Germany’s Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) confirmed that in 2017, 8,210 recognised refugees attempted to hedge their bets and made the second application – nearly tripling from 2,997 the year before, reports Die Welt.

Though such applications are considered “inadmissible” as the migrants have been granted asylum in another EU nation, only a fraction was returned to the EU country responsible for them, with that figure being, at most, 1,428.

Refugees can also sue to prevent deportation, with the presiding judge at the administrative court of Berlin, Christian Gau, telling the newspaper that there are “a large number of decisions made by the administrative courts to deport beneficiaries to Italy and other EU countries that have been prevented, especially where the refugee is sick or a single parent”…”

    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/04/10/snp-values-inspire-new-terror/

“The Scottish National Party (SNP) has been slammed over guidance which claims that supposedly “offensive” terminology like “British values” could inspire terror attacks.
“The concept [of British values] can cause offence and could play into the hands of groups who seek to assert that there is an inherent conflict between being British and being Muslim”, Scottish teachers have been told. Defending the move, a spokesman said using the “wrong” words in the classroom could “amplify the rhetoric used by terrorists and violent extremists.”

UK Security Minister Ben Wallace accused Education Scotland of “putting PC [politically correct] politics before children’s safety” when the directive — which stresses the “importance of using appropriate and accurate” terms when discussing terror — came to light at the weekend.

Drawn up in partnership with the Scottish government, the Education Scotland document provides what it calls an “overview” of language which should and should not be used during classroom discussions on terror attacks and violent extremism, reports The Sun.

Featuring a list of terms divided into columns labelled “safe” and “problematic”, the Holyrood guide urged teachers to “think carefully before selecting the right words”.

With “British values” appearing in the “problematic” column, juxtaposed with the “safe” term “shared values”, educators learn from the paper that the former term could “cause offence”.

Teachers should refer to “shared values” rather than British because pupils must be moulded into “responsible citizens who respect other people, different beliefs and cultures”, said the Scottish document, which called to mind the SNP regime’s enthusiasm for PISA’s announcement that international education rankings would begin testing for how well schools are “nurturing” globalist attitudes…”

“Swedish politicians in the northeastern area of Skåne county have complained there are no police in their area as available officers are sent to the heavily migrant-populated city of Malmö to help deal with serious crimes.

Lars Johnsson of the Moderate Party sits on the local council for the municipality of Hässleholm and has expressed concern over the lack of police in the city centre which is becoming rife with problems, Swedish broadcaster SVT reports.

“It’s not just a hub for travellers but also for drug trafficking and the problem is that we have too few police officers,” Johnsson said.

In other areas of the county like Östra Göinge, there is also a lack of available police officers. “We currently have no police presence at all. Our municipal police are sent to Malmö and we are leaving now we know that crime will increase,” Moderate Party politician Patric Åberg said.

Pär Cederholm, head of the Hässleholm police, said he worried that some officers will quit because of the strain of the work in Malmö which would decrease the number of available officers ever further…”

    • Macron meets Moroccan king, still in Paris after heart op

French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday hosted Morocco’s King Mohammed VI, yet to return home following heart surgery in Paris, for unscheduled talks notably on the Middle East, royal sources said.

Macron received the king just prior to welcoming visiting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Elysee Palace as part of the latter’s ongoing official visit.

The French leader’s talks with King Mohammed were not in his official diary.

According to a Moroccan official statement, Macron and the king “discussed at length the situation in the Middle East as well as regional and international issues,” noting a “widespread convergence of views on the subject.”

Monday had seen the Saudi heir hold a surprise meeting with Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saad Hariri, as well as Morocco’s monarch.

Hariri tweeted a picture of the trio smiling and dressed casually accompanied by a caption of “no comment.”

The meeting appeared designed to send a message of reconciliation after Hariri was allegedly pressured to resign by the Saudi royal during a trip to Riyadh last November, causing a crisis which Macron helped defuse.

“The three of them are friends and our countries are very much aligned so it made a lot of sense to do this,” Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir told AFP.

King Mohammed had heart surgery in Paris on February 26 for an irregular heart beat but Moroccan sources said at the time he would soon resume “normal activities without any restriction.”

Prior to appearing with Macron and the Saudi heir Mohammed’s absence had sparked wild rumours on social media with some web posts suggesting the monarch, who succeeded his father Hassan II in 1999, had died.

Morocco’s 360 website had in mid-March commented that the monarch, who regularly visits France, was in good form and spending “every waking hour” attending to matters of state.

Macron has met with the king several times, most recently at the One Planet Summit in Paris.

Three police officers were wounded in the gunfight that broke out after the ambush, said police Lt. Adisak Saduba of the Yarang district police station. Ambushes of security personnel, sometimes using improvised explosive devices, are a common tactic of the insurgents, who operate in Thailand’s three southernmost provinces of Narathiwat, Yala and Pattani, the only ones with Muslim majorities in the predominantly Buddhist country.

The insurgents, who belong to several groups, do not have clearly articulated goals, though historically some have separatist ambitions while other seek greater autonomy. They receive support from Muslim residents who complain that they are often treated as second-class citizens…”
