To everyone in the States and Canada, clean your musket, make sure you have enough power, balls and flints because you are going to need them in the near future.
Black powder muskets are the only firearm available for purchase in Canada no licence required. 50 caliber!
Where and how?
Any local sports shop. I got mine at Le Baron. Italian made. Quite a hoot to fire. It’s a Canon.
We’re just musing hypotheticals here, right? Hi, Stasi North America!
Just discussing a hobby.
Hopefully caplock
Muskets or rifles?
It’s a muzzle-loaded flint lock rifle, I guess.
OK, I would prefer a cap but a flintlock will work. Can you buy the minie balls with pyrodex on the hollow base up there? I see them down here every deer season.
Nothing wrong with bows and crossbows although the latter are often banned in the west as are manufactured slingshots
Crossbows, the silent rifles, slow to load but accurate and usually more powerful then the bows most people can pull.
If you our your husband are good with your hands they shouldn’t be too difficult to make.
We can buy them here without a licence so long as they’re under a certain feet-per second velocity, I believe. Same with the air rifles and pistols.
You don’t need anything for them down here, last week me and a friend were looking at some that had pulls varying between 150 lbs to 175 lbs. Nice looking but we didn’t have the money to buy them.
Bibles, goes without saying, I guess…
