A brave man in the audience stood up and confronted Biden, asking:

“Why did you molest all those girls on C-SPAN, at the Senate ceremonial swearing in? Why did you molest those girls? It’s all over YouTube.”

Someone in the audience yells, “Get out of here.”

  3. I should have mentioned this the other day during the posts on the Gaza uprising. I want to tell you about an Israeli charity called http://pizzaidf.org/
They deliver pizzas, soda, soup, Purim baskets and other foods to front line IDF soldiers. I have contributed several times and actually got to know Menachim by email. To my knowledge they are totally volunteer and unpaid. The interesting thing is that they use local restaurants in communities like Sderot for the food. Not a “Dominos” or some mass food supplier. So, not only are you sending a pick me up to the soldiers but you are also helping the local communities.
They have a somewhat convoluted way to get a US tax deduction by sending the donation through a US charity but I have never bothered with it.
This in my mind is a great charity and I hope you will at least check out the web page.

    • PS: One year I actually did list pizzaidf in my charitable contributions on my tax return and my Jewish tax accountant called me up and questioned it. I insisted it was tax deductible (it wasn’t) so he kept it in. I didn’t get caught! LOL

      • On the Gaza front, August 2014: They got your _ICE-CREAM_!
Someone sent me a video clip, I couldn’t believe it. I’m sorry I didn’t save it.

In that heat and dust and misery, suddenly your gift! The soldiers were so surprised and excited, they were dancing around like little kids.

They’re _brave_ volunteers. Some aren’t fit to fight, injured from other wars or whatever, they want to do their part. It’s great for morale.

  4. ISIS fighters still pose terror threat to UK despite defeats in Iraq and Syria, GCHQ warns (express, Apr 2, 2018)
    https://www.express.co.uk/news/uk/940272/isis-terror-threat-uk-security-experts-gchq

“ISLAMIC State (ISIS) fighters have “raised the bar” in the threat against the UK as security analysts at GCHQ warned the bloodthirsty terror group has become an “advanced adversary” because of their use of technology and the internet.

The group, also known as Daesh, suffered heavy defeats in the Iraqi and Syrian heartlands it over-ran in the barbaric surge of 2014 after which it declared a caliphate the size of Britain.

Strongholds such as Mosul in Iraq and Raqqa in Syria were re-captured after long and bloody sieges in the second half of 2017 but security services warn its fighters are still capable of committing atrocities away from the battlefields.

Extremists are expected to continue to pose a “severe” threat to Britain for at least the next two years, according to a Government security review.

The threat level could also be raised to its highest grade of “critical” which means an attack is expected “imminently”, as ISIS fighters flee Syria and disperse across the Middle East, North Africa and Europe.

The National Security Capability Review published last week warns: “We expect the threat from Islamist terrorism to remain at its current heightened level for at least two years and it might increase further.”

And ISIS is known for its technological capabilities and use of the internet in order to parade their sick message of violence.

One intelligence officer, named only as Ben, told Sky News: “They are a very advanced adversary in that regard but there are a number of other technological challenges that we as an organisation face.

“We always have done – that is the history of GCHQ and our forerunners at Bletchley Park.

“There’s been a huge amount of technological change that we’ve had to keep abreast of, so yes, Daesh have pushed the bar and raised the bar in terms of some of the technology that they’ve used and the ways in which they’ve used it.

“But the next adversary will do something else that’s different and its keeping pace of that which is always the challenge we face.”

He acknowledged ISIS has lost large swathes of its territory in recent months but said the organisation and its ideology still existed and still posed a terror threat to the UK.

He said: “I think for me, the key thing to note, is the focus on Daesh.

“You can eradicate one threat but there will be another threat around the corner.

“So for me, as an analyst, it’s trying to understand ‘OK what has happened and what else is going to come along next that we need to be worried about?’

“It’s only a few years ago our focus was heavily on al-Qaeda, we’ve now moved to Daesh.

“What is going to be the next threat? What else is going to come along?

“So we need to be mindful of the wide set of threats that potentially going to harm UK interests.””

    • It is good to hear that someone working for the UK gov’t is not completely insane…

“The UK Labour party may have lost more than 17,000 members in the last three months amid public controversy over antisemitic sentiment in the party, the Times newspaper reported on Monday, citing insiders.

The Sunday Times reported that over 2,000 troubling messages were posted on 20 Facebook groups supporting Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. According to the newspaper, a number of high-profile Labour members are subscribed to these groups. Corbyn has been facing calls to get the groups shut down.

According to the newspaper, hundreds left the party last week only.

The party has been dealing with the allegations of antisemitism for a few years: an investigation chaired by barrister Shami Chakrabarti began in 2016, after comments by high-profile party members.

Corbyn came under fire over comparing some actions of Israel to those of terrorist groups. The inquiry reported in June 2016 that antisemitism and other types of racism were occasional within the Labour party.”

“The militia of the Syrian city of Raqqa fired mortars on the US-led coalition base in the town of Ayn Issa, the press service of the movement said on Monday.

“Following the intelligence activities, the militia of Raqqa waged a special operation targeting the US Staff located at the former base of the 93rd Brigade in the district of Ayn Issa, 43 miles north of Raqqa. Several mortar shells were fired on individual targets without any casualties on our side,” the statement said.

  8. Half of Sweden’s ‘New Arrivals’ Reportedly ‘Lack Compulsory Schooling’ (sputniknews, Apr 2, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201804021063132224-sweden-migrants-unemployment/

“The Nordic nation is one of the EU countries with the least number of available jobs in professions with low or no educational requirements, which doesn’t rhyme particularly well with the new wave of immigration, where the skills are very low, resulting in increased gaps between the newcomers and the native-born.

As many as 50 percent of newly arrived immigrants to Sweden lack compulsory school education, the trade newspaper Arbetsmarknadsnytt reported, citing a recent seminar with Forbes.

“The level of education of these groups is generally very low. Half of them do not even have elementary school skills, which we know are pivotal for having a chance in today’s labor market,” Pernilla Andersson Joona, economics professor at the Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI) at Stockholm University, told Arbetsmarknadsnytt.

According to Andersson Joona, subsidized employment, that is when the state enters the scene and pays with taxpayer money, is therefore the easiest and the most effective method of getting the new arrivals and the foreign-born Swedish citizens to work. Andersson Joona called them “closest to real jobs” with the smallest possible risk of displacement effect.

However, even state subsidies aren’t necessary persuasive enough for the employer. The so-called “establishment mission,” which was launched in 2016 with the idea of helping the newcomers gain a foothold in Sweden’s labor market, only led to 40 percent of men and 22 percent of women in the target group working or participating in regular education. Due to the 2015 immigration “bumper crop,” over 75,000 people are currently enrolled in the Employment Agency’s various “establishment activities,” which is more than ever before.

“What we can see is that employers do not want to take employer responsibility. They’d like another party to take it. They also say that the rules for subsidized employment are too difficult for them even to want to hire,” Pernilla Andersson Joona said.

At the moment, the Swedish labor market looks very promising for the native-born population, with unemployment among ethnic Swedes hovering at 4 percent. However, for the new arrivals and foreigners, it is at an alarming 21 percent…”

Prosecutors also said that Omer sent out various videos through social media and mobile apps like Whatsapp to students containing material that told the students they had an “obligation to destroy churches and turn them into mosques, identifying Italy as the target of terrorist activity.”

He said troops had pushed back the insurgents from attacking closer to Maiduguri and they resorted to attacking the villages.

The injured are receiving medical attention.

Nwachukwu said more than 13 insurgents were killed by soldiers, who also recovered weapons and detonated recovered suicide vests. He said soldiers were still chasing insurgents.

Nwachukwu also said a 14-year-old Boko Haram insurgent surrendered to soldiers after escaping an enclave on the Lake Chad islands.”

“An Afghan official says at least 48 schoolgirls have been sickened at a high school in southern Helmand province in what authorities suspect is a case of group poisoning.

Dr Nisar Ahmad Barak says the girls were admitted on Monday at his hospital in Lashkar Gah, the provincial capital, with headache and vomiting but that they are all now in stable condition and receiving treatment.

He didn’t have any other details and could not speculate on what type of poisoning may have been involved.

Ahmad Bilal Haqbeen, deputy director at Helmand’s education department, says the girls are all from 11th grade at the city’s Central Girls School. He says an investigation is underway.

  15. What’s causing Baltimore’s population loss? It’s no mystery

With the U.S. Census Bureau reporting yet another year of population loss for the city, it doesn’t take an investigator to determine the causes.

The city’s scary record of 343 homicides in 2017 affirms the city’s well-known reputation as a dangerous place to live. Even if 2018 has fewer homicides, it doesn’t take a fortune teller to predict that this year’s homicide rate will be high. Until the city substantially reduces its homicide and other crimes rates, people will continue to view the city as dangerous and be reluctant to stay or move here.

  16. Poisoned Door Handle Hints at High-Level Plot to Kill Spy, U.K. Officials Say

LONDON — British officials investigating the poisoning of Sergei V. Skripal, a former Russian double agent, believe it is likely that an assassin smeared a nerve agent on the door handle at his home. This operation is seen as so risky and sensitive that it is unlikely to have been undertaken without approval from the Kremlin, according to officials who have been briefed on the early findings of the inquiry.

This theory suggests that an assassin, who Britain believes was working on behalf of the Russian government, walked up to the door of Mr. Skripal’s brick home on a quiet street in Salisbury on March 4, the day that he and his daughter, Yulia, were sickened.

Mr. Skripal, who was freed in a spy swap with the United States in 2010, is still in critical condition and unresponsive, but Yulia is conscious and talking, according to a BBC report.

Because the nerve agent is so potent, the officials said, the task could have been carried out only by trained professionals familiar with chemical weapons. British and American officials are skeptical that independent actors could have carried out such a risky operation or obtained the agent without approval at the highest levels of the Russian government — almost exactly the same phrase that American intelligence agencies used in

  17. Trump links US border wall to NAFTA renegotiation, warns Mexico ‘must stop drug, people flows’

President Donald Trump on Sunday explicitly linked his proposal to build a barrier between the U.S. and Mexico to ongoing NAFTA negotiations, as he renewed a warning that the flow of illicit drugs and undocumented immigrants from the country “must stop.”

Via Twitter, the president ripped the U.S.’s southern neighbor for doing “very little, if nothing” to stem illegal immigration and narcotics from flowing across the border. He repeated a threat he made earlier this year, warning that successful trade pact renegotiations may hinge on Mexico making efforts to secure its side of border.

  19. ICE arrests farmworkers, sparking fears in the Central Valley over immigrants and the economy

Jesus Aceves was driving three of his fellow farmworkers to the tomato fields in the early-morning darkness when he saw lights flash behind him.

ICE agents pulled him over and asked for his license, registration and insurance and, most forebodingly, whether the men were in the United States legally.

Aceves and his passengers were taken to an immigrant detention facility. But none of them had been the target of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Three of the men had no criminal records. The most serious blots on the 44-year-old Aceves’ record were several convictions — the most recent in 2012 — for driving without a license.

That morning, an ICE spokesman said, agents went to a Kern County residence where they thought an immigration target lived. One of the men who got into Aceves’ car matched that person’s description, he said. The ICE agents followed.

The arrests were part of a larger sweep in California’s agricultural heartland that has sent fear through the Central Valley, where for generations, immigrants here — both legally and illegally — have picked crops. In some fields, almost all of the foreign workers are in the country without legal status.

“The Muslim Brotherhood group yesterday commemorated its 90th anniversary in the Turkish capital of Istanbul under the slogan “90 Years of Giving.”

The commemoration ceremony was attended by dozens of the Muslim Brotherhood leaders from around the world, including Ibrahim Mounir, the group’s deputy leader, the former head of the Hamas political bureau, Khaled Mashal, in addition to thousands of the group members from various Arabic countries.

Since its inception on 22 March 1928, many of the Brotherhood members and leaders have been arrested and held in prisons of the Arab rulers, under the pretext that the group is involved in several terrorist attacks that are being carried out around the world.

Arab regimes, such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have named the Islamist group as “terrorist group.” Many of the group’s members and leaders under a travel ban.

About 16,000 others will be given permanent residency in Israel, he said.

Israel’s Supreme Court had blocked deportations meant to begin on Sunday.

The plan to send the migrants to African countries – reported to be Uganda and Rwanda – was condemned by Israeli activists and sparked protests.

The new plan will be implemented over a five-year period. Mr Netanyahu’s office described the agreement as “unprecedented”.

  28. The NHS winter crisis is now a year-round problem with bed pressure and delays during the summer “respite” likely to be as bad as in the depths of December two years ago, according to a new analysis.

The British Medical Association (BMA) has said NHS staff now work flat-out all year round and summer months that used to bring extra bed and staff capacity are spent managing the fallout of “massive spikes in demand”.

  29. Europe All Inclusive, a book by former Czech President Václav Klaus, co-authored by the Arab-speaking economist Ji?í Weigl, recently published by Hungary’s Századvég School of Politics Foundation, has already been translated into six languages.

The Századvég School of Politics Foundation is connected to the think tank Századvég, which, in turn, is close to the FIDESZ party led by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. In the book, the authors write:

“What we see today is a similarly fundamental challenge to the future of Europe… and especially its ‘integrated’ part, is riddled with hypocrisy, pseudo-humanism and other dubious concepts. [When] the most dangerous of them are the currently fashionable, and ultimately suicidal, ideologies of multiculturalism and human-rightism…

These ideologies promote the notion that migration is a human right, and that the right to migrate leads to further rights and entitlements including social welfare hand-outs for migrants…

  30. The Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (Brå) has said that it will not gather ethnic or migrant background data on criminal suspects, claiming the data would not help its mission.

The statement came after an inquiry from Moderate Party politician Tomas Tobé who, like many others, has argued that the statistics agency should gather as much data as possible in order to paint a clearer picture of crime in the country, Helsingborgs Dagblad reports.

“It a betrayal to the victims to actively rule out also looking at the foreign background of the perpetrators. It is obvious that Brå does not dare to do this because they lack government support,” Tobé said.

The Moderate Party has demanded in the past that the council should gather ethnic and migrant background data, but Justice Minister Morgan Johansson of the Social Democrats has claimed the decision is up to Brå itself.

Tragically, Christians living in lands formerly under the control of the “Caliphate” have been betrayed by many in the West. Governments ignored their tragic fate. Bishops were often too aloof to denounce their persecution. The media acted as if they considered these Christians to be agents of colonialism who deserved to be purged from the Middle East. And the so-called “human rights” organizations abandoned them.

The West was not willing to give sanctuary to these Christians when ISIS murdered 1,131 of them and destroyed or damaged 125 of their churches.

We must now help Christians rebuild in the lands where their people were martyred.

  32. Every one of the 44 House Democrats who hired Pakistan-born IT aides who later allegedly made “unauthorized access” to congressional data appears to have chosen to exempt them from background checks, according to congressional documents.

All of them appear to have waived background checks on Imran Awan and his family members, even though the family of server administrators could collectively read all the emails and files of 1 in 5 House Democrats, and despite background checks being recommended for such positions, according to an inspector general’s report.

The House security policy requires offices to fill out a form attesting that they’ve initiated background checks, but it also includes a loophole allowing them to simply say that another member vouched for them.

  34. According to former President de Kirchener, in 2010 Gary Samore, the White House Coordinator for Arms Control and Weapons of Mass Destruction, approached her, requesting her government send enriched uranium to Iran. Samore admits this, and says he also approached Russia and France asking the same of them! All three countries refused his request!

When the Argentinians asked the Obama Administration to put it in writing all communications ceased and the administration went silent.

    From Jihad Watch:
Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner claimed Monday afternoon at the United Nations General Assembly in New York City that in 2010, the Obama administration tried to convince the Argentinians “to provide the Islamic Republic of Iran with nuclear fuel,” reported Mediaite.

Kirchner said that two years into Obama’s first term, his administration sent Gary Samore, former White House Coordinator for Arms Control and Weapons of Mass Destruction, to Argentina to persuade the nation to provide Iran with nuclear fuel, which is a key component of nuclear weapons.

    • Far be it from me to defend the Obama admin but I do believe the thinking at the time was that if a 3rd country supplied nuclear fuel to Iran’s supposedly benign goal of generating nuclear power then they would no longer need to operate nuclear enrichment facilities.
That actually made a bit of sense. We will sell/give you the nuclear fuel for your power plants. In turn you will shut down your enrichment facilities.
Of course, it didn’t work but it might not have been entirely sinister. Just pie in the sky.

  35. The Palestinian Authority is continuing to pay out salaries to convicted terrorists using funds provided by the American taxpayer, a policy that defies a recent U.S. law mandating the PA stop these subsidies or face a cutoff in U.S. aid dollars, according to U.S. and Israeli lawmakers who spoke to the Washington Free Beacon.

Palestinian officials in recent days have rejected a new U.S. law, known as the Taylor Force Act, or TFA, that bans the PA government from providing salaries to terrorists and their families, a longstanding policy that had become the center of controversy after it was found U.S. taxpayer aid dollars to the Palestinians had been used to subsidize this practice.

    • Jerusalem Hymn

England does not have a national anthem, however unofficially the beautiful Jerusalem hymn is seen as such by many English people. Jerusalem was originally written as a poem by William Blake in 1804, the lyrics were added to music written by Hubert Parry in 1916 during the gloom of WWI when an uplifting new English hymn was well received and needed.

      Jerusalem Hymn

And did those feet in ancient time
      Walk upon England’s mountain green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
      On England’s pleasant pastures seen?
      And did the countenance divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
      And was Jerusalem builded here
      Among those dark satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand,
      Till we have built Jerusalem
In England’s green and pleasant land.

    • China has taken control of a port in Pakistan and is building a Naval base there, there are reports that they are going to to build a road or possibly a railroad into Iran that will link up with the rail road to Europe just above Pakistan. This would let the Chinese ship weapons to Iran and receive oil in payment without risking using the sea borne route that could be easily shut down. There are also reports that Russia has stopped the Chinese railroad to Europe because it was a strategic threat to Russia.

  39. OTTAWA — In a letter to an employer in his Ontario riding, a Liberal MP says his own government is wrongly invoking the Charter of Rights and Freedoms on its controversial Canada Summer Jobs attestation, and calls the whole thing “regrettable” and a “lamentable state of affairs.”

The newly added clause requires applicants for the grant program to declare their core mandate respects “the values underlying the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms,” and goes on to specifically mention reproductive rights, which means access to abortions.

“In my riding of Scarborough-Guildwood, I am personally aware of a number of organizations negatively impacted,” says the letter from John McKay, who is known to be pro-life.

“I consider this to be a lamentable state of affairs, and have expressed my views both inside and outside caucus in the strongest possible terms.”

  40. DAILY MAIL Prosecutors told 13-year-old Telford grooming victim’s family they couldn’t prosecute because she had consented to sex

Prosecutors told a Telford victim’s father they couldn’t prosecute the abuser
They said because the girl, 13, consented to the sex, they couldn’t make a case
A local MP slammed police and Crown Prosecution Service over the handling

Prosecutors told a Telford grooming victim’s father they couldn’t prosecute the alleged abuser because the 13-year-old had consented to have sex with the man, according to uncovered documents.

The letter was discovered after papers were handed over to the Home Office as part of the ongoing investigation into what may be Britain’s ‘worst ever’ child abuse scandal.

It was sent from the Crown Prosecution Service to a father in 2016, and stated the branch couldn’t prosecute the man because although the young girl may not have wanted to have sex, she agreed she would.

The existence of the letter was first reported by Sky News, and read: ‘The defence that was put forward in this case was that she willingly met the suspect and had consensual sexual intercourse with him.

‘Also at the time this took place the suspect held a reasonable belief that she was over the age of 16.

‘In her statements to the police she was clear that although she may not have wanted sexual intercourse with the suspect, she agreed to do so.’

Last Monday, it was announced that the National Independent Inquiry into Child Exploitation would talk to grooming victims as part of its ‘Truth Project’.

It came about due to claims that cases were mishandled by authorities in the Shropshire town, with many perpetrators going unpunished, and reports that similar abuse was continuing in the area.

MP for Telford Lucy Allan has slammed local police and the Crown Prosecution Service in wake of the letter, saying the evidence she’s compiled from victims and their families shows ‘a failure to understand the nature of grooming’ on the officials’ parts.

Pointing to the letter, she said using the defence of consent suggests the departments don’t understand how ‘a young person of 13 or 14 does not have the capacity to consent in a situation like that.’

A CPS spokesperson said the case didn’t meet the evidence test and a separate review confirmed the decision not to prosecute.

In early March, it was revealed a pair of whistle-blowers, who raised fears over the Telford child sex abuse scandal which affected up to 1,000 girls, were both punished and silenced.

According to the Mirror, police chaplain Keith Osmund-Smith was suspended after he passed papers to the newspaper and a report commissioned by the council revealed social workers knew of the sex crimes before the turn of the millennium.

Meanwhile, a woman who was hired by sex abuse charity Axis Counselling, based in Shrewsbury, was forced to leave her role after she tried to speak up.

The town in Shropshire – population 170,000– is at the centre of a probe following claims as many as 1,000 girls have been victims of sexual abuse dating back to the 1980s.

A police investigation in 2010 identified more than 100 potential victims, most of whom were young white girls, who had allegedly been abused between 2007 and 2009.

The inquiry – Operation Chalice – was closed after seven Asian men were jailed in 2012 for a total of 49 years for charges against four girls including rape, trafficking and prostitution.

But the scale of the abuse is believed to much greater than these seven men and there have been claims that it has been mishandled by the authorities.

It is alleged that social workers first knew of abuse in the 1990s, but police took a decade before launching a probe.

Previously unseen files apparently showed that council staff viewed abused and trafficked children as ‘prostitutes’, not victims, and that the authorities had failed to keep details of abusers from Asian communities for fear of ‘racism’.

Victims are now being asked to share their experiences with the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse.

The sexual abuse inquiry, led by Alexis Jay, is examining 13 areas of public life for child protection failings over decades.
