The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is the latest left-wing organization to lambast the Commerce Department’s decision to begin asking United States residents on the 2020 Census if they are American citizens.
This week, President Trump’s administration announced in a historic decision that it would put the citizenship question back on the U.S. Census — a question that has not been included since 1950 — a move that will provide Americans with more accurate data on unemployment, the number of citizens in the country, and a better look into the foreign-born population.
The open borders lobby, though, is blasting the decision, as it threatens states with large illegal alien populations like California, New York, and Florida. Those states are at risk of losing congressional seats if redistricting is based upon counting citizens rather than the current model, which counts all residents, including illegal aliens.
CAIR — an organization that has repeatedly defended suspected terrorists — says that merely asking U.S. residents if they are citizens is a “white supremacist agenda.” The organization wrote in a statement, “This is yet another political move by the Trump administration to implement its white supremacist agenda and to drag our nation back to the false ‘white paradise’ of the 1950s.”
If Congress were to decide to only count citizens — based on the 2020 Census figures — in congressional redistricting, a state like California with an estimated three million illegal alien population would potentially lose four to five congressional seats.

How a new Census question could shift political power in America
Translation: If the states only count citizens when they draw their lines the citizens will be able to make their voices heard and the non citizens legal and illegal will have to let the citizens decide how their state should be run.
This means the Dems will lose control of several state legislatures and will have (hopefully) much less political power. Naturally the Dems hate this idea, their power is based on keeping the illegal aliens in the US and voting for the Dems.

As reported by The West, police suspect a conflict between Turks, Lebanese and Kurds. About 22.30 clock in the evening, police had the situation according to the information under control. Overall, up to 100 police officers tried to calm the situation. Neither emergency personnel nor rioters were injured.

Beijing has confirmed that North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has visited China to hold talks with President Xi Jinping, in his first foreign visit since taking power.
The announcement corroborated speculation which was sparked when a train similar to the one the dictator’s father used was spotted making a round-trip to Beijing.
Xi held talks with Kim at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing and he and his wife Peng Liyuan hosted a banquet for Kim and his wife Ri Sol Ju.
‘I have had successful talks with General Secretary Xi Jinping on developing relations between the two parties and the two countries, our respective domestic situation, maintaining peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula, and other issues,’ Kim said at the banquet.
Kim also committed to denuclearisation in Korea if the United States and the South showed ‘goodwill’, it was reported, with China agreeing to support its neighbour if nuclear tensions could be eased.

“Last year police officers in the Netherlands faced 9,101 incidents of verbal or physical violence directed at them. That means that every day last year 25 police officers were insulted, threatened or physically abused while working, NOS reports.
Violence against police officers was most common during arrests (2,779) and while dealing with the nightlife crowds (993). There were also 523 incidents of violence against police officers while confronting a disturbed person, 523 incidents during situations in traffic, 451 incidents while giving fines on the street, and 451 incidents while dealing with domestic violence cases.
In 147 cases the involved police officer filed charges of attempted murder or attempted manslaughters.
The police leadership always encourage officers to file charges when faced with violence, but the officer decide for themselves. A police spokesperson could not tell NOS how often police officers file charges and how often the Public Prosecutor proceeds with prosecution.
“The perpetrators are not just young people in difficult neighborhoods as you might expect”, Ruud Verkuijlen of the National Police said to NOS. “It is also the hard worker who gets a ticket on his way to work and disagrees with it vehemently.”
According to Verkuijlen, experiencing violence has a major impact on a police officer’s wellbeing. “For that reason, they are optimally supported from the moment they come into contact with this. We try to ensure that these officers can return to working with pleasure as quickly as possible.”
It is difficult to compare these figures with previous years, because until last year each corps counted and registered such incidents in its own way, according to the broadcaster. If all these separately counted incidents are added together, you get 14,660 violent incidents against cops in 2016.”

Halili has already been convicted of terror-related charges once before, in 2015, when he was found to have published Isis texts on the internet.
He was sentenced to two years in prison as part of a plea deal. After his release police found that he continued to publish material glorifying terrorist acts, including videos of Isis violence and its militants in Syria and Iraq, as well as playlists of speeches by infamous radical Islamists.
“He’s a highly motivated individual with no intention of reforming,” Ambra said.
As officers led him away on Wednesday, he reportedly shouted: “Tyrants! I’m going to prison with my head held high.”
The arrest comes the day after a separate operation that saw an Egyptian-Italian man arrested in the southern city of Foggia, where he was accused of attempting to indoctrinate youngsters at a Muslim cultural centre. “

DOZENS of Chinese ships are exercising this week with an aircraft carrier in a show of force off Hainan Island in the South China Sea.
Pictures, provided by Planet Labs Inc, show a Chinese carrier group has entered the trade route as part of combat drills.

The Chinese navy claims the movements are part of routine annual exercises, according to Reuters.
The Liaoning carrier group last week traversed the Taiwan Strait, according to the Taiwanese defence ministry.
The photos, taken yesterday, show what appear to be at least 40 ships and submarines flanking the carrier Liaoning in what some analysts described as an unusually large display of the China’s expanding fleet.
They have emerged less than a week after Chinese President Xi Jinping said his country is prepared to fight bloody battles to retain its right as a superpower.

UK schools on LOCKDOWN: Warning ‘children will be hit with car’ (express, Mar 28, 2018)

“SCHOOLS across the UK have been put on lockdown amid a major threat on children’s lives. Police have confirmed “malicious communications” had been sent to schools across the country from Durham to Devon.
At least 12 schools in Devon and Cornwall are said to be affected, and schools in Durham have also received the alert.
A police source told The Plymouth Herald: “Police in Plymouth believe a number of schools in the city and beyond have received a threatening email which suggests children will come to harm when they leave the premises.”
Parents have frantically been arriving at schools to collect their children.
Responding to the incident, a spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We are aware of a series of malicious communications to schools in Devon and Cornwall as well as across the country.
“Enquiries continue to establish the facts and forces are working together to investigate who is responsible.
“Police take hoaxes extremely seriously. They divert police resources and cause disruption and alarm to the public.”
Sgt Rachel Ward said she was in the process of informing as many schools as possible alerting them to the email and the likelihood it is a hoax.
She told the Herald: “We understand this may be a national problem and that schools have been receiving spurious emails. We are taking the matter seriously and are delivering messages over the phone and in person to schools.”
A parent has said a caretaker from Marlborough primary school in Plymouth came out to tell parents that there was a terrorist threat and that a call had been made to say if the children were released they would be ‘hit with a car’.
Another parent, Terry Smith, said he was trying to collect his child said there were parents waiting outside the school to pick up their children.
Cambridgeshire Police also issued a statement.
“Enquiries are being carried out to establish the facts and forces are working together, along with the National Crime Agency, to investigate who is responsible.
“The emails say that at 3.15pm a car will drive into as many students as possible as they try to leave.
“It says: ‘If you try and evacuate them the driver will get out and shoot any student leaving.
“‘You have a choice here, you can ignore this email and risk the lives of the students you say you care for, or you can listen to what we are telling you.
“‘The only way out is to go out with a BANG’.
“The email is signed off: “From your team PI3x13t.”
Policehour.co.uk reports that a number of schools have shutters pulled these down and locked the school gates.
The alert comes just a week after a schools across the UK were evacuated because of a series of bomb threats.
Emails said a bomb was placed on the school grounds and would be detonated if ransom demands were not yet.
Police later said the threat was a hoax carried out after a dispute between Minecraft gamers.
In total there were 24,000 emails sent out and thousands of pupils evacuated.
The hoax was believed to have originated in the United States.

The brother of an unarmed black man who was fatally shot 20 times by police interrupted a city council meeting by jumping on the desk in front of the mayor.
Stevante Clark marched into the specially-convened meeting of Sacramento City Council on Tuesday and leaped on the dais before chanting his brother’s name, interrupting Councilman Larry Carr.
Security guards surrounded him and seemed to try to lead him out, only to have audience members yell out, ‘Let him speak!’

Corey Feldman stabbed by knife-wielding thug in frenzied attempted murder attack
The Lost Boys and Goonies star alleged somebody attacked him while he was in his car – and believes the motive was revenge
Corey Feldman has been hospitalised after being stabbed by a man in what he claims to be a ‘revenge attack’ after his allegations about sexual abuse in Hollywood.
LAPD, who were drafted in to investigate, told journalist Mike Rogers that Corey received ‘minor’ injuries in the attack.
“LAPD says Corey Feldman sustained minor injuries after being stabbed in Reseda late last night,” Mike tweeted.
“He took himself to the hospital. Police haven’t released any information on a possible suspect.”
The actor tweeted two pictures of himself in a hospital bed and revealed the attack happened while his security guards were distracted.
Three men approached him while he was out in public, before another man pulled up in his vehicle.
This man managed to open Corey’s car door and stab him with ‘something’, he alleged.

“The Swedish government is planning to put more pressure on tech giants Google, Facebook, and Twitter to end anonymity for ‘online trolls’ and those accused of posting hate speech.
Minister for Housing and Digitisation Peter Eriksson said that he and Justice Minister Morgan Johansson were working together to put even more pressure on the social media companies to deal with so-called hate speech online, Expressen reports.
“So far, it has been too easy to be able to say anything on the internet,” Eriksson said and added that individuals should be held responsible for what they say.
“The troll accounts that exist today – as well as in Sweden – must end. You have to point out to the big platforms and tell them you have a responsibility, you have to clean up and get rid of this,” he added.
Both ministers are set to meet with representatives from Google, Facebook, and other internet companies on April 13th and Eriksson confirmed that Swedish media would also be present at the meeting. “I think we need a lot of new rules, some of which can be regarding laws,” he said.
Sweden has been one of the countries in Europe at the forefront of prosecuting citizens for hate speech along with Germany and the UK. The Swedish government has also been active in promoting measures to combat so-called “fake news” online, giving out millions of Swedish Krona to mainstream media companies to fight it on social media…”

“Referrals to the government’s anti-extremism programme for “extreme right-wing views” in the South West of England rose by 69 per cent – overtaking Islamic extremism.
A favourite destination for holidaymakers, with its picturesque countryside, forests, and beaches, the most ethnically-white region in England saw the rise in “right-wing extremism” go up from 75 in 2015/16 to 127 in 2016/17, reports DevonLive.
Those who were referred for right-wing extremism (15 per cent) were six times more likely to receive support through the programme, which supports people at risk of engaging in terrorism, compared to those referred for Islamic extremism (two per cent).
The majority, 56 per cent, of those referred in the region to Prevent in 2016/17 were aged under 20, including 107 under-15s. The majority, 87 per cent, were male.
Police will then screen the Prevent Strategy referrals and pass on to the Channel programme for “mentoring” those which are deemed terror- or extremism-related.
Last year’s Channel panels in the South West focussing on right-wing extremism accounted for the majority of the 49 cases at 27 – a 108 per cent rise from the year before.
Of the 24 people who received Channel support, 19 were for right-wing extremism and 4 for Islamic extremism.
Across England and Wales, referrals for right-wing extremism grew by 28 per cent, from 759 in 2015/16 to 968 against a total of 6,093 referrals for 2016/17.
Last year, Breitbart London reported that despite the vast majority of violent extremists and terrorists being Islamic fundamentalists, some regions have seen significant increases in referrals for right-wing views.
In Yorkshire, “far-right” referrals accounted for nearly 50 per cent of the caseload and 30 per cent of the caseload in the East Midlands.
In some cases, children have been referred to Prevent for campaigning for UKIP and for opposing the wearing of Islamic veils in British society.
This shift in focus comes after anti-Prevent campaigns by Islamic fundamentalists, Muslim groups, unions, and senior Labour politicians argued it unfairly targets Muslims and is “racist”.
The figures revealed from the South West comes after details emerged that the jailed Parsons Green Tube bomber Hassan Ahmed, who was found guilty last week of causing an explosion and attempted murder, refused to engage in the deradicalisation programme.
The teen Iraqi asylum seeker was reported to Prevent by his teacher Kayte Cable last year after she saw a WhatsApp message on his mobile phone saying, “IS [Islamic State] has accepted your donation” and for comments made at his immigration meeting where he said that he had been “trained to kill” by the terror group.
Though authorities did not need his consent to enrol him as he was under 18 at the time and in care, Ms. Cable told the BBC that he had not agreed to take part and was not properly engaged in the scheme.”

China is using AI and facial recognition to fine jaywalkers via text
Traffic authorities in the Chinese city of Shenzhen have teamed up with an AI firm named Intellifusion to carry out the rather dystopian policing, reports the South China Morning Post. Already traffic police in the city have been using Intellifusion software and cameras to identify passing jaywalkers and project their faces and identifying information on large screens located near intersections for all to see, but now Intellifusion is taking its surveillance a step further. The company is partnering with social media platforms including WeChat and Sina Weibo and local mobile phone carriers so it can text jaywalkers the second they offend. Police will also have the option of delivering a ticket and fine on the spot for people who are picked up by the AI system for repeat offenses.MG

In its 2017 annual report, RVRN said the living conditions of refugees and migrants on Greek islands, where thousands are stranded in dire, overcrowded camps, drove xenophobic rhetoric in local communities, sometimes with “extreme manifestations.”
It found violent assaults had increased in Athens too, and said perpetrators appeared to execute instructions given to them by their organisations based on pre-meditated plans.
“The RVRN alarmingly observes an increase in the number of assaults committed by groups employing ‘hit-and-run’ like practices,” the report said.
On the island of Leros, asylum-seekers reported they had been attacked by groups of motorcyclists using sharp objects. One pregnant woman said she was targeted because of her headscarf. In Athens, one man was verbally abused and beaten in the face at a bus stop, the report said.
RVRN, established in 2011 by the U.N. refugee agency in Greece and the National Commission for Human Rights, gives a broad definition of racist violence as “criminal or violent acts or behaviour against people because of their ethnic origin, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual preferences or disabilities.”
On the basis of interviews with victims, it recorded 102 incidents of such violence in 2017, more than a third of which resulted in injury. That was up from 95 incidents in 2016.
Most of the attacks were against lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transgender or intersex (LGBQTI) people, followed by those against refugees or migrants, which made up a third of all attacks. The number of attacks against LGBQTI people fell compared with the previous year.
Hostility towards migrants and refugees has risen in Greece since it plunged into an economic crisis in 2010. Actual numbers are likely to be higher than those reported as victims are sometimes too scared to report attacks to the police.”

Kim Jong Un’s Trip to China Confirmed

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un traveled to China, where he met with the country’s president.
Chinese media confirmed the trip Tuesday, saying the North Korean dictator was in the country from Sunday until Wednesday local time.
During the trip, Xi Jinping hosted a banquet to welcome Kim and his wife.
They reportedly discussed a number of topics with the dictator, saying he is committed to denuclearization under the right circumstances. They also notied, the situation on the Korean peninsula is getting better.
Reports claim the North Korean leader said talks with him and Xi were successful, and confirmed Pyongyang is willing to engage in dialogue with the U.S. during the May summit.
The Trump administration touted the new progress toward denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.
In a statement, the White House says it was contacted by China’s government Tuesday about the trip, and Chinese President Xi Jinping relayed a personal message to President Trump.
the statement claims the u..s remains in close contact with both South Korea and Japan to combat threats from Pyongyang.
The statement also noted that Kim’s trip to China proves the Trump administration’s strategy is creating an opportunity for the U.S. and North Korea to have dialogue.

2 Journalists, Driver Kidnapped in Ecuador Near Colombia Border

Officials in Ecuador say two journalists and their driver were kidnapped near the country’s northern border with Colombia.
On Tuesday, Ecuador confirmed the individuals had been kidnapped the day before in an area filled with many former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia rebels, otherwise know as FARC.
Ecuador says they are in contact with the kidnappers, and believe their citizens are on Colombian soil.
The military reportedly warned the journalists about the risk of traveling in the area, and they have not been heard from since.

China says North Korea’s Kim pledged commitment to denuclearization
BEIJING/SEOUL (Reuters) – North Korean leader Kim Jong Un pledged his commitment to denuclearization and to meet U.S. officials, China said on Wednesday after his meeting with President Xi Jinping, who promised China would uphold friendship with its isolated neighbor.
After two days of speculation, China and North Korea both confirmed that Kim had traveled to Beijing and met Xi during what China called an unofficial visit from Sunday to Wednesday.
The visit was Kim’s first known trip outside North Korea since he assumed power in 2011 and is believed by analysts to serve as preparation for upcoming summits with South Korea and the United States.
North Korea’s KCNA news agency made no mention of Kim’s pledge to denuclearize, or his anticipated meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump that is planned for some time in May.

Al Sharpton’s half-brother charged with murder in shooting death day after anti-gun march

Kenneth Glasgow, 52, was arrested along with another man after Breunia Jennings, 23, was shot in the head in Dothan, Ala. Authorities said Glasgow, an ex-convict, was the driver of the car linked to Jennings death. The passenger of the car, Jamie Townes, 26, was also arrested and is reportedly the alleged shooter, the Dothan Eagle reported.
Dothan Police Chief Steve Parrish said that Glasgow and Townes were reportedly searching for Jennings because they thought she had stolen Townes’s car. When they spotted her, Townes allegedly fired several shots into the vehicle Jennings drove, killing her.

Curing’ exceptionalism?

One of the emails in my inbox this morning was a promotion for a new book. The email was sent by the author, David Swanson, and the title of the book is “Curing Exceptionalism: What’s wrong with how we think about the United States? What can we do about it?”
Swanson invited me to get in touch with an eye toward a possible interview and offered excerpts to include in my review.
I have opted instead to quote the premise of the book, which is described in the email:
U.S. exceptionalism, the idea that the United States of America is superior to other nations, is no more fact-based and no less harmful than racism, sexism, and other forms of bigotry. The purpose of this book is to persuade you of that statement.
Swanson tips his hand right off the bat by misdefining exceptionalism, which doesn’t posit that a nation, society, or species is superior to others but just different or unique in some manner. The difference, moreover, is in the eye of beholder, which renders pointless his claim that exceptionalism is not fact-based. No one ever said it was. The belief in exceptionalism is an opinion. In the case of the United States, it is one that has been held not only by grateful Americans but the millions who have sought to emigrate here over the past century.

Let’s begin with the law that is expected to start applying from January 1, 2019. The government bill up for consideration will prohibit private individuals from accessing public documents such as databases of court judgments, which contain information about convicted persons’ national origin, political opinions, religion or union membership. However, the law will not apply to everyone – the mainstream print media, government offices and a few other organisations will still be able to access that kind of information. This is not only unfair but also contrary to the basic ideas enshrined in “the Fundamental Law on the Freedom of Expression”: the rule that allows every citizen the right to access public documents.
Voting in the Riksdag (parliament) will take place in May, and the proposal is likely to be approved because the only party that has expressed opposition so far is the Sweden Democrats who want a referendum on the issue. Since both “Freedom of the Press” and “The Fundamental Law on Freedom of Expression” are fundamental laws, the new Riksdag will also need to approve the changes after the Swedish election held in September. If they do, the bill will become law from January 1, 2019.

It informed her that if she did not make a dental appointment for “regular professional cleanings” for her child, she could be charged with “dental neglect.” Citing a law called Pennsylvania Act 31 on child abuse recognition and reporting, the dental office threatened to report the mom to state authorities if she did not schedule an appointment.

The influx of migrants has had significant effects on Germany’s birth rates. In 2016 there was a 7 per cent surge in new-borns, the country’s Federal Statistics Office reported on Wednesday.
In the year 2016, a total number of 792,131 children were born in Germany. Compared with 2015’s total of 737,575 new-borns, the number had increased by 7 per cent in a single year.
A large increase in the number of these births were registered among migrant women. They were having 25 per cent more babies totalling 184,660, while an increase of 3 per cent was seen among women with German citizenship, who had 607,500 babies.

Strange things happen in East and Central Europe that get little mention from media outlets. Two heads of state, the PMs of Slovenia and Slovakia, resigned almost simultaneously. Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was a victim of the scandal over the murder of Jan Kuciak, a journalist who was investigating government corruption. The PM had to step down amid mass street protests.
Mr. Fico was known for his support of a stronger Visegrad Group. He opposed Brussels on many issues. It’s worth noting that he called for lifting sanctions and improving relations with Moscow. The PM was adamant that Russia was a reliable energy partner. Is it a coincidence that he was forced to resign amid the anti-Russia campaign triggered by the Skripal case and other obviously concocted stories used as false pretexts for incessant attacks on Moscow? Wasn’t he a threat to the so-called unity of the EU against Russia? He definitely was.

Student activists at Hofstra University are demanding the removal of a statue of Thomas Jefferson from campus.
Ja’Loni Owens, a Hofstra student and Black Lives Matter activist, started a change.org petition that warns it will discuss “slavery, rape, eugenics, anti-black racism” and claims the Founding Father’s statue belongs in a museum with proper context, “not displayed on a college campus, especially not in front of a hub of student life.”
Owens specifically addressed “white allies” in their Facebook event for the Friday protest “Jefferson Has Gotta Go!” to be held at the statue in front of the student center.

British schools across the UK are on lock-down after threats of terrorist attacks against children were received. Around 12 institutions in London, Devon, Cornwall and Durham have received the threat.

Clarissa Slade, 21, was found dead Monday at England’s Winchester University, where she was studying classics, according to the Telegraph.
Slade, an active member of the Conservative Party, was just 18 when she was elected to the Mid Devon District Council and to Tiverton town council in 2015, the BBC said.
Her social media accounts were flooded with photos of her with local politicians, including Prime Minister Theresa May.
Slade’s cause of death is “unexplained,” according to police. She was born with a heart defect and was recently hospitalized with pain.
