Forced compliance by German companies (ie. Volkswagen) to rehire jihadis, combined with the confirmed stability of Hungary post-election could mean a greater flood of investment into more Magyar factories. Such economic buoyancy will provide yet more confidence in Hungarians of a Hungary off the Euro teet. The country will begin to really understand what Orban is after.
Maintaining autonomy will require the reestablishment of a vigorous, well-trained, modern army fully weaponized. It is already fortress Hungary. Migrant pressures will only increase on Serbia, Croatia, Romania et al. Hungary as the cork in the Balkan bottle will float in rougher seas. Effectively guarding the border will make foreign capital feel safe and welcomed.
If Islam enjoys status as a recognized religion in Hungary this status should be debated. It is not a religion, and it is about time a country recognizes it as a very efficient, expansionist political entity compelled to wage war covertly and demonstrably to achieve dominance. Just as the first country who next establishes a domestic gold standard to govern its currency will set dominos toppling, so will this set an overwhelmingly sensible precedent that other countries will follow. Mosques must be treated as the enemy beachhead that they are. If not closed, all Imams will speak in Hungarian or not at all. They will be monitored as are hostile foreign NGOs. Fourteen-hundred years is long enough for any charade to perpetuate humanity’s worst joke.
Hungary’s brand of taqqiya will continue. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. Pursuing economic ties with the likes of Turkey and Iran, don’t forget, comes at the end of a shotgun–one barrel aimed by the EU and the other by every other force that wishes to hamper the business of a country attempting autonomy. Hungary has balanced on this fence for a thousand years. This may be one of the few times the West side of the fence seemed uglier than the East. Practicing taqqiya in order to trade with Turkey and Iran is a necessary evil. Surviving superpowers on your flanks is basic survival skill. And since Europe is becoming the new Middle East, admit Hungary is the new Israel. Orban will incorporate the best of Israel’s model into Hungary’s. This means, beyond recognizing the metaphor, continuing to help the diaspora in Transylvania, the Balkans, the Ukraine and beyond.
Western post modernists necessarily kill meaningful history studies in western countries. Children with no sense of nationhood will belong to no nation. That Hungary keeps history alive may be it’s most conspicuous strength.

In a first, U.S. blames Russia for cyber attacks on energy grid
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The Trump administration on Thursday blamed the Russian government for a campaign of cyber attacks stretching back at least two years that targeted the U.S. power grid, marking the first time the United States has publicly accused Moscow of hacking into American energy infrastructure.
Beginning in March 2016, or possibly earlier, Russian government hackers sought to penetrate multiple U.S. critical infrastructure sectors, including energy, nuclear, commercial facilities, water, aviation and manufacturing, according to a U.S. security alert published Thursday.
The Department of Homeland Security and FBI said in the alert that a “multi-stage intrusion campaign by Russian government cyber actors” had targeted the networks of small commercial facilities “where they staged malware, conducted spear phishing, and gained remote access into energy sector networks.” The alert did not name facilities or companies targeted.
The direct condemnation of Moscow represented an escalation in the Trump administration’s attempts to deter Russia’s aggression in cyberspace, after senior U.S. intelligence officials said in recent weeks the Kremlin believes it can launch hacking operations against the West with impunity.

South Africa’s Zuma to be charged with corruption over arms deal
PRETORIA (Reuters) – Former South African President Jacob Zuma will be prosecuted for corruption relating to a 30 billion rand ($2.5 billion) arms deal in the late 1990s, chief state prosecutor Shaun Abrahams said on Friday.
“After consideration of the matter, I am of the view that there are reasonable prospects of successful prosecution of Mr Zuma on the charges listed in the indictment,” Abrahams said.
Zuma disputes all the allegations against him, he added.

In California, we have the president pro tem of the state Senate appointing an illegal migrant to a state advisory commission. This is the first time such an appointment has been made at the state level. (There have been at least two prior appointments of illegals to city commissions in Huntington Park.)
This raises questions, of course, like why anyone in California should trust state officials for anything, or obey the law him or herself.
Whatever the state’s law may say about the qualifications for service on this committee, the appointee herself is in the country illegally. Senator Kevin de Leon knows that. There is no basis now for assuming him to be a person of integrity and character on any matter, or for assuming that the state government is acting in good faith.
Why shouldn’t we all just break whatever laws we feel like breaking? What argument can there be for compliance with the law as a transactional obligation, when public officials hold themselves excused from it — and pick and choose arbitrarily whom else to hold accountable?

There are corrections and there are novellas. The 972-word mea culpa by ProPublica Editor-in-Chief Stephen Engelberg for a scandalous story his “news-gathering organization” ran more than a year ago is closer to the latter than the former.
The original article, which ran in February 2017, claimed that CIA officer Gina Haspel — who Trump had just appointed to the agency’s number two job — ran the secret prison in Thailand where al Qaeda bigwig Abu Zubaydah was being held and oversaw his waterboarding.
That damning claim resurfaced this past Tuesday when Donald Trump nominated Haspel, now a deputy director, to head up the intelligence agency. Hillary Clinton’s visit to India suffered another setback this week as the former secretary of state fractured her wrist after slipping in the bathtub at the five-star resort where she was staying, according to a report by DNA India.
The website reported that Clinton was taken to a hospital in the city of Jodphur at around 5 a.m. local time Wednesday. Clinton underwent an X-ray and a CT scan that confirmed a hairline fracture of her right wrist.
The Times of India reported that Clinton had been given a plaster bandage and advised to go for another checkup in three days. The injury does not impact Clinton’s ability to travel.
The Times of India and DNA India both reported that Clinton had been treated for pain in her right hand since she arrived in Jodphur Tuesday afternoon. The pain forced her to cancel a planned visit to the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort Tuesday evening.

An art installation depicting a crucified Star Wars Stormtrooper was displayed at St. Stephen’s Walbrook church in London on Thursday, as part of a crucifixion-themed exhibition entitled Art Below.

DALLAS – A judge has dismissed with prejudice a lawsuit filed by the father of a Muslim boy arrested after taking a homemade clock to his Dallas-area school.
The decision Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Sam Lindsay of Dallas means that Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed’s lawsuit cannot be refiled again based on the same claims. The judge also ordered the family to cover all of the costs of the lawsuit.
The family of Ahmed Mohamed had complained that the Irving, Texas, school district discriminated against the boy, then 14, in 2015 because of his race and religion.

It seems like the true intent of the Trudeau government regarding the oil industry has finally been put on full display. According to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF), “Ottawa is holding Canadian oil to a higher standard than foreign oil that is imported to Canada.”
After it filed Access to Information with the Federal Government, the CTF found that imported oil will not be subjected to the same environmental reviews as is oil from Canadian companies.
According to the CTF, TransCanada cancelled it’s project soon after the federal government announced that it changed the rules halfway through the Energy East pipeline review.

Nearly 95 percent of all high school graduates were educated in a government school. Government schools are sold to us as bastions of right science. So what happened since for millennia almost no one believed the earth was flat?1

“A Belgian theatre has apologised for placing newspaper advertisements seeking actors who had fought for Islamic State or had killed their siblings.
The theatre in Ghent was looking for recruits for a play by the Swiss director Milo Rau, who attracted controversy last year by casting children in a play about a notorious Belgian paedophile.
“Have you fought for your convictions? For God? Have you fought for Isis or other religions? Get in touch,” read one of the adverts for the NTGent theatre, which was published in a Dutch-speaking free weekly newspaper.
Another with the same NTGent email address said: “Have you killed or seriously injured your brother (or sister)? Perhaps metaphorically? Do you want to talk about it?”
The play, to be performed in September, is called Mystic Lamb after the famed altarpiece by Hubert and Jan van Eyck at Saint Bavo’s Cathedral in Ghent.
The theatre apologised after a public outcry. In a statement sent to Agence France-Presse on Friday, it said it “recognised that with its appeal for Isis fighters it could have given the impression of giving them a platform, and recognised its poor communication in this regard, and apologises.”
Sven Gatz, the culture minister for Flanders, said this week that “artistic freedom has its limits”.

BOMBSHELL: Obama’s DOJ Forced Deletion Of 500,000 Fugitives From Gun Background Check System
On Wednesday, acting FBI deputy director David Bowdich testified during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing that former President Barack Obama’s Department of Justice forced the FBI to delete over 500,000 fugitives, who had outstanding arrest warrants, from the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS).
“It’s my understanding that under federal law fugitives cannot legally purchase or possess guns,” Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) began. “We’ve heard from local law enforcement that the Justice Department has issued a memo that forced the FBI NICS background check database to drop more than 500,000 names of fugitives with outstanding arrest warrants because it was uncertain whether those fugitives had fled across state lines.”

“Belgium is taking back control of the Grand Mosque of Brussels by terminating Saudi Arabia’s lease of the building with immediate effect over concerns it promotes radicalism, the government said on Friday.
The announcement is Belgium’s first official confirmation of the move which comes after months of behind the scenes diplomacy to prevent any fall-out with Saudi Arabia, as reported by Reuters in February.
Concerns over Brussels’ biggest mosque, located near the European Union’s headquarters, surfaced after Islamist militants who plotted their assault in Brussels killed 130 people in Paris in 2015, and 32 in the Belgian capital in 2016.
Friday’s decision breaks Saudi Arabia’s unusual 99-year, rent free use of the building, the government said.
“The concession will be terminated immediately … in order to put an end to foreign interference in the way Islam is taught in Belgium,” the Belgian government said in a statement.
Belgium leased the Grand Mosque to Riyadh in 1969, giving Saudi-backed imams access to a growing Muslim immigrant community, mostly from Morocco and Turkey, in return for cheaper oil for its industry.
It has been run by the Mecca-based Muslim World League (MWL), a missionary society mainly funded by Saudi Arabia. The MWL denies it espouses violence.
Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon tweeted of Friday’s announcement that “in this way we are tackling Salafist, violent extremist influences.”
Riyadh’s quick acceptance of Brussels’ request to relinquish the lease reflects a new readiness by the kingdom to promote a more moderate form of Islam – one of the more ambitious promises made by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman under plans to transform Saudi Arabia and reduce its reliance on oil.
The handover of the mosque coincides with a new Saudi initiative, not publicly announced but described to Reuters by Western officials, to end support for mosques and religious schools abroad blamed for spreading radical ideas.
Justice Minister Koen Geens said the sprawling complex will instead house the offices of the Muslim Executive of Belgium, an official body which represents Muslim communities across the country.
The mosque will have to register as a place of worship, he said.
Geens and other Belgian leaders couched the move as a way to promote a “European Islam” better aligned with their values – a familiar refrain across Europe following recent Islamic State attacks…”
School District Hands Out Suspensions To Students Who Walked Out For Gun Control Rally
A school district in New Jersey is handing out two-day suspensions to students who participated in the pro-gun control National School Walkout on Wednesday.
Sayreville School District warned students in advance that disciplinary action would be taken against those who walked out of school for the gun control rally. “We are going to follow our student code of conduct in terms of discipline associated with whatever action occurs,” said Kevin Ciak, Sayreville Board of Education president.

Science Mag: Actually, Climate Change is Not That Bad
The left has been telling us for more than a decade that 99.99999% of scientists agree that global warming is happening, it’s manmade, and that it will mean the near-certain extinction of all human and animal life on the planet within the next fifty years. Okay, maybe the predictions were not quite that dire, but they were getting damn close to that ridiculous hyperbole. Certainly, we have seen mainstream Democrats strutting around, telling us that we would see magnificent SUPERHURRICANES, the death of all polar bears, and the catastrophic loss of major coastal cities like Miami and New York due to the rise in global temperatures.
Unless, of course, we ACT NOW!
But now that the Trump administration has essentially turned off the lights at the EPA’s climate change division, pulled out of the Paris Agreement, and put this whole issue on the backburner in favor of a domestic energy movement, scientists are telling us…Wellll, maybe it ain’t so bad after all.
How fascinating.
In this month’s issue of Scientific American, two essays point out that there is really no reason for Earth-huggers to despair. Written by Harvard professor Steven Pinker and Will Boisvert, the articles maintain that while climate change may be real and the potential effects serious, modernization and human adaptability will be more than able to rise to the task of facing the challenges ahead.
