“Turkish police on Sunday fired tear gas to break up a women’s rights march in Ankara with some 15 protesters reportedly detained.

The protesters, mainly from the Ankara Women’s Platform, an NGO promoting women’s rights, had gathered in the Turkish capital for the march called ahead of International Women’s Day on 8 March.

“We are getting stronger in solidarity,” read one banner as riot police moved in and fired tear gas after the group ignored calls to disperse, AFP photographers at the scene said.

Fifteen women were detained by police, the private Dogan News Agency reported.

    Istanbul rally

In Istanbul Sunday, a group of about 1,500 women rallied in the Bakirkoy district on the European side of the city, an AFP journalist reported.

The group was protesting Turkey’s military operation in Syria targeting Syrian Kurdish militia, considered a terror group by Ankara.

“There is a war on our border. We cannot remain indifferent,” one woman protester, Meltem, said.”

Since the past two years, Pakistan has been constant with their spot of being on the second worst country in the world but has improved their position to fourth this year.

  3. Social activists express concern over increase in child abuse cases (tribune, Mar 5, 2018)

“At least 12,526 children were kidnapped across Punjab in 2016 while in 2017, the rate of sexual abuse increased by 12%. Our children are not safe anymore.

These views were expressed by social worker Zehra Sajjad Zaidi during a session on increasing incidents of rape in South Punjab on Sunday. Civil society members and women rights’ advocates attended the session.

Zehra Zaidi said that the laws needed to be reformed. The government and parents should work together in initiating awareness campaigns. “Parents should keep an eye on their children going to schools, madrassas and tuitions,” she advised.
Similarly, social activist Mukhtar Mai said that in rural areas, landlords supervise the system of villages. “They protect the accused in such incidents but after sometime these are forgotten. The laws should be examined and the accused should be punished,” she emphasised. She added that many children were forced into labour when they become victims of rape and sexual abuse.

Bushra Naqvi, an expert of law, revealed that 84 children had been sexually abused in Multan in one year.

Zahida Khatoon from Pakistan Women Development Foundation said, “South Punjab is a deprived and under developed region. The literacy rate is also very low.”

Social worker Abida Bukhari said that the government had neglected social problems.”

“The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (T?KA) has started restoration of five Ottoman-era sites in Albania, state-run Anadolu Agency reported on March 3.

According to a statement issued by T?KA’s office in the Albanian capital Tirana, the agency is “continuing to deliver technical assistance and projects to common historical and cultural assets with the aim of protecting and transferring them to future generations.”

The new projects included the Ethem Bey Mosque, the Ergiri Pazar Mosque, the Berat Hunkar Mosque, the Halveti Tekkesi and the Berat Bekarlar Mosque, the statement said. Restoration is expected to be completed in two years.

The agency previously completed the restorations of the Preza Castle Mosque, the Akcahisar Murad Bey Mosque, the Elbasan Nazire Mosque, the Imrahor Ilyas Bey Mosque and the Berat Kursunlu Mosque.

T?KA has been operating in Albania since 1996 and has carried out more than 300 technical assistance and business associations projects to support the development of the country.”

    • This is not a good sign, Erodgan is planning on sending Trukish troops to those Mosques in the near future.

      • As you already have noted elsewhere, the mosques will be used as an excuse for an intervention of some sort. In fact, some other international military theater is just the ticket for Erdogan as it will bolster his caliphate credentials.

I keep wondering why Saudi Arabia is so quiet in this caliphate business. With their wealth, advanced military, and possession of the shrines, it makes them a natural candidate for the seat.

Perhaps there is a certitude that whichever contenders emerge (e.g., Iran and Turkey), there is going to be some blood spilled. MBS (the Crown Prince) is too crafty to let this sort of opportunity just slip by unaddressed.

  6. “Sunday with Charles Ortel – Saving Sweden Man”
    James Goodman – March 4, 2018

    • Nobody can save Sweden, it’s too late.
Why? Because of the Human Rights Commission that will forbid any deportation.

        • During the coming chaos Sweden will have to be liberated.

It really looks that way. The Swedes have mired themselves so deeply in a moral tar baby of their own making that it is very unlikely they will be able to extricate themselves unassisted.

The worst part of this is that active genocide would be one of the only internationally respected tripwires for external intervention. Given the international community’s glacial pace, it means that thousands of indigenous Swedes would perish as the world finally set about squelching their imported troublemakers.

You can’t possibly be thinking I was referring to a possible genocide against non-Swedes?!? The Feminist government assures that there will be no genocide against Sweden’s economic migrants.

The Swedes are right up there with the “Palestinians” when it comes to self-inflicted misery.

  7. Koch Network Took Credit for Dakota Access, Keystone XL and REINS Act, Leaked Memo Shows

A leaked memorandum published by The Intercept and Documented Investigations shows that a Koch Industries’ donors network, known as the Seminar Network, has taken credit for Donald Trump approving the permits for both the Dakota Access and Keystone XL pipelines during the first months of his presidency.

The memo also applauded efforts by the Koch network’s Americans for Prosperity (AFP) chapter in Wisconsin to pass a deregulatory measure there known as the REINS Act. The Seminar Network, which meets secretly twice a year, is made up of donors who give at least $100,000 toward Koch-led political and philanthropic efforts.

Koch Industries has a business interest in both pipelines, though their approval has not been something its funded network has widely discussed. Quietly, though, Koch has advocated for the pair of pipelines in regulatory hearings in both Iowa for Dakota Access—as previously reported by DeSmog—as well as in Canada, as reported in 2012 by InsideClimate News.

Buried in the article is this little gem:

Koch Industries also owns assets in a tar sands reservoir located in Alberta, Canada, both in the form of lease holdings for land and as a company with a drilling interest. For the latter, Koch owns Koch Oil Sands Operating, which has a drilling interest in both the Gemini and Muskwa tar sands fields in Alberta.

It also owns 1-2 million acres’ worth of land (the exact number is contested) in the tar sands for prospective future leasing, according to a 2013 report published by the International Forum on Globalization. Keystone XL, the pipeline owned by TransCanada and approved by Trump and his U.S. Department of State in March 2017, would bring around 500,000 currently-booked barrels per day of tar sands oil from Alberta to Cushing, Oklahoma, where the pipeline connects with TransCanada’s Gulf Coast Pipeline.

Too bad no one want to mention how water-intensive it is to process tar sands. Ordinary petroleum refining can use between 40 to 100 gallons of water per gallon of fuel. Tar sands require much greater amounts of water during the extraction phase (i.e., separating oil from sand).

Remember, every single day the earth is bombarded with 970 Trillion Kilowatt Hours of sunlight. Let’s put that into perspective:
    (1 Quad = 10^15 [one quadrillion] BTU
An average residential water heater is 200,000 BTU
    )

    970 x 10^12 kWh = 3,307 Energy quads
3,307 Quads = 26.5 Trillion gallons of gasoline
3,307 Quads = 131 Billion tons of coal
    3,307 Quads = 883,907 Megatons of TNT*
    * The entire global nuclear arsenal is a mere 7,000 Megatons

Every 24 hours, our planet is drenched with enough clean energy to power all of civilization for decades, if not centuries.

The Koch brothers’ combined wealth is more than any other individual person on earth. Their investment in Albertan tar sands (almost more than Exxon, Cheveron, and Conoco combined) is a cynical ploy to wring out of the environment a very pollution-intensive energy source.

Some of the tar sands settling ponds are 30 square miles, making them some of the largest man-made structures on earth. Leaks and spills from these holding ponds are very toxic and hard to clean up.

While crushing the Islamic oil producers is a top priority, we must not be like China (is about economic growth) and sacrifice the environment for a temporary advantage. Fusion and sunlight conversion are the two principal areas of investigation which will eventually put an end to the fossil-fuel era.

The 12 suspects were among 20 people for whom detention warrants were issued by the Ankara state prosecutors’ office, Anadolu said. It said they were foreign citizens and had been seeking to recruit new members to the group.

Turkish authorities regularly detain Islamic State suspects and it was not clear whether there was any connection between the arrests and the U.S. embassy move. Anadolu said the police operation was“planned previously”.

    • Pentagon says media ‘complicit’ by posting ISIS ambush video

The Pentagon is warning media outlets not to publish a video released by the Islamic State over the weekend purportedly showing a deadly ambush of American troops last fall in the African nation of Niger.

“We ask the media and the public and all responsible entities <strong
not to aid these terrorists in recruiting efforts by viewing or bringing to attention these images, these videos.

      <strong
You are complicit in amplifying ISIS propaganda if you do that," Col. Rob Manning told reporters on Monday.

The video appears to show the bodies of some of the four American special operations troops who were killed near the village of Tongo Tongo in October while on a counterterrorism mission. At least some of the footage appears to be from the perspective of one of the soldiers’ helmet-mounted cameras.

The possible existence of such a video first came to light in January, as POLITICO reported at the time.

But Manning declined to confirm its authenticity or that it featured helmet cam footage from an American soldier.

“It’s an ISIS propaganda video that’s poorly produced and spliced together,” he told reporters at the Pentagon. “We didn’t produce the video. We can’t confirm something that we didn’t produce.”

The Oct. 4 ambush has been under investigation by U.S. Africa Command for months. Manning said Monday that the probe is complete and “being reviewed by the secretary of Defense.”

The firefight stirred controversy over the nature of the mission of the special operations team that was ambushed, the level of support it had and President Donald Trump’s handling of a phone call with the widow of one of the soldiers, Sgt. La David Johnson. Johnson’s body was initially missing after the firefight.

Islamist insurgents have distributed video of dead American troops as propaganda in the past — including when they overran a Navy SEAL reconnaissance team in Afghanistan in 2005.

The Pentagon warning about further distributing the Niger video is unlikely to sway many news organizations. For example, CBS News has already run with it.

ISIS propaganda video shows U.S. soldiers under attack in Niger

WASHINGTON — The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) released a propaganda video Sunday to show how supposedly invincible they are. CBS News chose to air parts of the video that the militants captured from a helmet camera worn by one of the four soldiers killed in the ambush in Niger on Oct. 4, 2017 (please note: Viewer discretion is advised).

The Pentagon has yet to release a full account of the ambush, and we do not know if the enemy somehow doctored the video, but the video shows in a way no words can express just how outgunned and cut off the Americans were.

They were returning from what was supposed to have been a low-risk patrol made up of 11 American and 30 Nigerian soldiers when the ambush hit. At first, they tried to take cover behind their SUV. With one of the soldiers at the wheel, they ran alongside, attempting to escape the kill zone.

They fired colored smoke grenades, which would provide some cover, and identify their position to any friendly aircraft overhead. But it would be two hours from the start of the ambush before French aircraft arrived on the scene. These soldiers were on their own. One of them went down. Another rushed to his side and then dragged him back to the cover of the SUV.

Their position at the SUV was about to be overrun, so they did the only thing they could — ran to a location that might provide better cover. Except for the smoke from the grenades and a few scrub trees there was no cover and no escape.

The soldier wearing the helmet camera went down. soon the camera stopped moving and some of the enemy fighters come into view. Then a final blast fills the frame from what apparently was a round fired at point blank range.

You would expect the enemy not to take prisoners but you would not expect American soldiers to be so exposed without any backup. The Pentagon’s investigation into how that happened is expected to be released this week.

Niger attack video released by IS shows group’s ‘depravity’: Pentagon

USA – A graphic video apparently captured by the helmet camera of one of the US soldiers killed in an Islamic State ambush in Niger highlights the jihadists’ depravity, the Pentagon said Monday after IS released the footage.

The Defense Department “is aware of alleged photos and IS propaganda video from the Oct. 4, 2017 terrorist attack in Niger. The release of these materials demonstrates the depravity of the enemy we are fighting,” the Pentagon said in a statement.

The nine-minute video includes a compilation of still and video footage, some of it IS and some American.

The video shows what appears to be the attack itself, which occurred as a unit of 12 American special forces soldiers and 30 Nigerien troops returned from the village of Tongo Tongo, near the border with Mali.

They were attacked by a group of some 50 fighters affiliated with IS and equipped with small arms, grenades and trucks mounted with guns.

The video, set to Islamic chants, shows distressing images of the attack and the soldier wearing the camera being shot to death.

It also depicts the body of at least one other American soldier.

      • The Pentagon is warning media outlets not to publish a video released by the Islamic State over the weekend purportedly showing a deadly ambush of American troops last fall in the African nation of Niger.

That media outlets even had to be asked is indicative of some serious problems.

Far more curious is; how did some undisciplined backwater technicals get the drop on an entire squad of US Special Operations troops?

All by themselves, those four Americans more than likely were capable of waging some serious war. SPEC OPS conduct themselves with extreme caution, so it’s not like these four were caught unawares sitting around a campfire. This does not pass some very basic smell tests.

  10. Swedish Christ Dems Leader Tells Immigrants to ‘Shape Up,’ ‘Become Swedes’ (sputniknews, Mar 5, 2018)
    https://sputniknews.com/europe/201803051062231692-sweden-immigration-values/

“Swedish Christian Democrats leader Ebba Busch Thor stressed the importance of common values, arguing that the recent refugee influx had caught the Nordic nation unawares; as she put it, her country has been devoted to “dissolving the norms” instead of stressing the importance of uniting ethics.

The Christian Democrats (KD) party convention held in the light of the upcoming general election in Sweden has kicked off with a speech by party leader Ebba Busch Thor, in which she stressed the importance of Judeo-Christian values, on which “the entire Western world is built,” the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet reported.

Busch Thor linked the lack of a public debate on values to the recent wave of asylum immigration to Sweden.

“You are welcome to Sweden. You are welcome to create for yourselves a good life in freedom here. But once you’re here, you must make an effort to become Swedish,” Busch Thor said in her speech.

After the speech, the KD leader further expanded her reasoning, by detailing some of the inherently Swedish values, above all equality.

“People who come here should aim to become a part of Swedish society and become Swedish. In doing so, there must be a common set of values that apply to everyone, and that deals extensively with the view of men and women, for example, that we are all equal,” the Christian Democrats leader said.

Bush Thor stressed that immigrants are indeed welcome to “import” values from their home cultures, but not just any values.

“When they come in a collision course with the values that apply here, it must be clear which have superiority. It’s when we are not clear about it, we get discussions about child brides, polygamy and segregated swimming hours,” Busch Thor said, referring to divisive issues that have caused a rift in the increasingly multicultural Swedish society.

According to Busch Thor, Swedish society doesn’t dare to launch a sufficiently profound discussion on values, which she attributed to the “large refugee wave” that caught the Nordic nation unawares. Busch Thor stressed that the values the newcomers should learn to accept are not necessarily the ones mandated by law. “Society is not held together by laws and regulations alone,” she emphasized…”

“Ibrahim Alhasbani is like generations of Middle Eastern immigrants in the Detroit suburb of Dearborn: he fled war, came with dreams and worked for others until he could strike out on his own.

Now, like an increasing number of people from Yemen who have come to the United States, he sees a long-term future outside the country he left and seeks to bring aspects of his native country into America.

“Here you build; over there you have memories,” said Alhasbani, owner of Qahwah House, a cafe that serves coffee made from beans harvested on his family’s farm in Yemen’s mountains. “I live here, so this is the main thing. This is what’s going to help first build my career, build my business … and help the people over there.”

Yemenis have been coming to the U.S. for more than a century — especially since the 1960s — but in recent years they have been planting stronger roots, raising their profile and looking outward — opening upscale restaurants and cafes and running for political office.

And, in cases like Alhasbani, they are making Yemeni culture a key part of the business proposition…”

  13. Left faces off with Dem establishment in primary fights

An energized left is taking on the Democratic establishment in primaries across the country, deepening the fissures within the party.

Progressives are riding a groundswell of enthusiasm since President Trump took office as Democrats look to take the House and defend Senate seats in 2018.

But progressive activists are also challenging fellow Democrats in the hopes of reshaping the party in a significant way after their 2016 defeat. Progressives are championing efforts that urge Democrats to embrace policies like single-payer health care, $15 minimum wage and unequivocal support for women’s reproductive rights.

That’s heightened tensions between progressives and more moderate Democrats, as some worry that the party is risking votes by moving too far left.

Time to pay the piper for letting Antifa get its legs. It was wonderful to have some volunteer goon squads to disrupt the 2016 presidential election. But now, this same violence-on-tap has become an enormous liability for the upcoming 2018 midterm voting cycle.

With total reliability, the Liberal solution remains cannibalism; as the far Left and mainline Democrats throw each other under the nearest moving bus.

California Dems’ hard-left turn could be the whole party’s future

How far left is the Democratic Party headed? Look to California, where last month’s state party convention went off the deep end.

The first sign of lunacy was the delegates’ refusal to endorse impeccably liberal Sen. Dianne Feinstein.

She lost out by 37 percent to 54 percent to Kevin de Leon, president pro tempore of the state Senate, who promises mainly to be obsessively anti-Trump.

Similarly, the delegates put former Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa last among the party’s four candidates for governor — even though he’s tied in polls of Democratic voters with former San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, who came out on top at the convention.

Villaraigosa’s sin? As mayor, he supported charter schools and jousted with the teachers unions, rightly calling them “the largest obstacle to creating quality schools.”

Finally, the convention took a sharp anti-Israel turn, adopting planks in support of the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement and slapping the Israel Defense Forces.

Yet, these same hysterical Leftist squealers cannot impose a similar degree of censure upon the many different anti-Feminist and anti-homosexual Islamic nations. The hypocrisy of this is beyond staggering.

Your brain on LSD is kind of like jazz improvisation.

That’s according to Selen Atasoy, a research fellow at the Center for Brain and Cognition at the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain. She was among the authors of a study published in the journal Scientific Reports that found the psychedelic drug can reorganize your brain in a “harmonizing” way.

“Just like improvising jazz musicians use many more musical notes in a spontaneous and non-random fashion,” she told PsyPost in an interview, “your brain combines many more of the harmonic waves (connectome harmonics) spontaneously yet in a structured way.”

  18. Venezuelans, Go Home: Xenophobia Haunts Refugees
For decades, the oil-rich citizens of a great nation were stereotyped by their poorer neighbors as haughty. Now comes the payback.

Panama’s hit single is about a Venezuelan woman who “fears nothing but immigration officers,” and “was famous in her own country but here does something else” — the something else presumably being prostitution.

Hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans fleeing economic collapse are crowding into cities and makeshift camps in Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador and throughout the region, the largest mass emigration in modern Latin American history. The Panamanian song, which brought the singer death threats from aggrieved migrants, reflects a growing friction. The sympathy that greeted early arrivals, many wealthy professionals, is giving way to fear and resentment of the poor and desperate. It is evinced by outbreaks of nationalistic insults, harassment and even violence.

    • Hundreds of thousands of Venezuelans fleeing economic collapse are crowding into cities and makeshift camps in Colombia, Brazil, Ecuador and throughout the region, the largest mass emigration in modern Latin American history.

So, where is the Catholic Church amidst all of this human and very Catholic suffering? This isn’t the Muslims and Nafris invading Europe. This is a religiously homogeneous region and rallying church-based resources should be a comparative breeze.

  19. Hungary Challenges United Nations Plan to Facilitate Global Mass Migration (breitbart, Mar 5, 2018)
    http://www.breitbart.com/london/2018/03/05/hungary-un-plan-mass-migration/

“Presenting a “security first” proposal to the United Nations (UN), Hungary has announced it is “ready to fight” the globalist body over plans to promote mass migration.

The country’s conservative government submitted the 12-point proposal in response to the “dangerous” so-called Global Compact for Migration, which was described by President Donald J. Trump as a “no borders plan” when he withdrew the U.S. from talks in December.

Announcing the proposal in Budapest, Foreign Secretary Peter Szijjártó warned: “If these 12 points, in which the Government summarises its position, are not included in the package, Hungary will not be in a position to support the adoption of the Compact.

“The goal of the proposal is to ensure that the security of the Hungarian people can continue to be guaranteed in future,” he said, declaring that “the Government and the governing parties are ready to fight this battle”.

Entitled “Security First”, Hungary’s document begins by challenging the key claim on which the UN package was built — that mass migration is both beneficial and unstoppable — noting events in recent years have shown the process has “caused serious security challenges in many regions of the world”.

In its second point, the Fidesz government said international efforts should be aimed at stopping illegal immigration rather than facilitating efforts, going on in the third to slam the compact’s labelling of migration a “human right”.

“With respect to the rules of international law, international organisations must make it clear that migration is not a basic human right. Nobody can independently decide which country to live in while ignoring national regulations and international law,” the proposal states.

Continuing, it notes the mass migration of people from different cultural backgrounds “leads to the creation of parallel societies with serious security implications in the affected regions”, pointing to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s recent admission that the country is struggling with migrant-occupied ‘no-go’ zones.

Asserting that it is best to help refugees remain as close to their place of origin as possible, “living in a dignified manner”, Hungary calls on the UN and wider international community to “recognise that every person has the right to live in his or her homeland in peace and security”.

Following from this, the government takes a stand for national sovereignty, urging NGOs and the UN to “respect the right of states to prioritise the safety of their citizens before any other aspect”.

“Therefore, every state has the right to decide who to admit to its territory and who to forbid from entering,” it says.

The document also instructs the international community to “support states in their efforts to safeguard their historical, religious and cultural heritage and social structure”, warning globalist bodies “must not put pressure on any state to change these values”.

In recent weeks, Szijjártó wrote to protest EU Commissioner for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini alleging to speak for every country in the bloc in negotiations regarding the UN compact — a move which provoked outrage from Edit Zgut, a foreign policy analyst at Political Capital, a Budapest-based think tank backed by globalist billionaire George Soros.

In a piece for EUobserver, she accused the Hungarian government of “expand[ing] its anti-Western freedom fight to the multilateral level by actually blocking the EU’s unified stance on the United Nations Migration Compact”.

“With Trump taking the United States out of the talks in spectacular fashion, the EU became the leading force of developed countries both symbolically and literally.

“In this situation, it would be an especially negative development if Hungary alone would weaken this unified opinion for the negotiations,” she concludes.”

The U.S.S. Carl Vinson is set to arrive in Vietnam for a historic visi in response to China’s growing presence in the South China Sea.

The nuclear-powered vessel will arrive in the port of Da Nang, reflecting the deepening military ties between Hanoi and Washington.

Around 5,500 sailors will set foot on vietnamese soil in the first visit by an American aircraft carrier since the v\Vietnam war.

This comes as China has been building militarized artificial islands across the South China Sea, stirring concern among regional U.S. allies.

The Carl Vinson strike group will begin its four day port call in Da Nang Monday.

  22. School district removes teacher for allegedly running ‘white nationalist’ podcast

Florida middle school teacher Dayanna Volitich is under review by the Citrus County School District for allegedly running a white nationalist podcast, according to published reports.

Volitich was removed pending the completion of an investigation by the school district.
    Why was she removed?

A statement from the school district reads:

On Friday, March 2, 2018 the Citrus County School District was made aware of a concerning podcast by a Huffington Post reporter. The reporter indicated they believed one of the persons participating in the podcast was a teacher at Crystal River Middle School. The Human Resources department was notified and an investigation was initiated immediately. The teacher has been removed from the classroom and the investigation is ongoing. Pursuant to Florida Statute an open investigation and materials related to it are exempt from public record and cannot be discussed until the investigation is complete.

The Huffington Post reported Saturday that Volitich, a social studies teacher at Crystal River Middle School, secretly ran a white nationalist podcast under the pseudonym Tiana Dalichov.

    https://www.middleeastmonitor.com/20180305-saudi-owned-private-broadcaster-pulls-the-plug-on-turkish-dramas/

“The Arab world’s largest private broadcaster has stopped showing Turkish television programmes, it said on Monday, as tensions rise between Ankara and some Arab states.

Turkish soap operas, in particular, are a big hit across the Middle East but the decision to pull the plug came into effect at Dubai-based MBC Group – which is controlled by Saudi businessman Walid al-Ibrahim and other Saudi investors – on March 2, a company spokesman said.

Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates see Turkey’s ruling AK Party, co-founded by President Tayyip Erdogan, as a friend of Islamist forces which both Arab countries oppose across the region…”

      • Turkey is cut off from most of the Middle East by Iran and Russia controlling Syria, a move into Europe is the only way he can gain support for his new Ottoman Empire. That is why he is rebuilding the Mosques in Albania, he can then use protecting the mosques as an excuse to move troops up into the Balkans. From there it is a short step to invading the rest of Europe.

        • Total creep-out!
Seriously, this guy looks like Hitler with his icky mustache and the flag that gives off swastika vibes-

        • He’s seriously scary – gives me the screaming-nazi-heeber-jeebers.

The Hitler mustache, the flag that gives off swastika vibes. Goon squads, thugs spying and threatening citizens of Europe.
Famous last words: “We really should do something about this…”

          • He is a lot more dangerous then most people are willing to admit, the danger level is heightened by the massive number of military age men that Merkel and others let into Europe. We also know that many if not all of the mosques have arsenals in the basements, when Turkey makes their move those will come out and the left will ask who let this happen.

              • Nobody took Hitler seriously until it was too late.

I understand and agree with your sentiments. However, today’s levels of reconnaissance, signals intercept, and global tracking make the espionage environment of WWII look like a windowless, unlit, soundproofed room.

Any attempt by Hitler to commit his atrocities in this modern world would be swiftly detected and acted upon.

Islam is different. It’s a bedrock aspect of jihad that it can be a grindingly slow process and, thereby, remain under radar as a “low intensity conflict” (see: Israel or esp. the Egyptian Copts).

There are just so many ironies to this situation:

Europe’s hauteur about the death penalty inadvertently saved it from admitting a neighborhood bully (i.e., Turkey) into the EU.

The “hot wars” in and around the Islamic Middle East are overwhelmingly being fought between Muslims.

Far more disturbing is the complete and total absence of any aggressive response by Europe to its current invasion.

All of which leads us to the stunning conclusion that—given the basis of nearly all modern disputes in the Islamic world—all of these invaders know full well that they are committing an act of war.

As in: Back in their native countries, if these same vagrants attempted to wander into some other village (be it Muslim or Nafri) and demand to be treated like royalty, such preposterous (and disrespectful) behavior would be met with almost immediate violence.

Again, all of these barbarians know damn well that they are warring upon the West. One glance at collective behavioral patterns is enough to confirm this.

  24. Iraq orders seizure of Saddam-era assets (alaraby, Mar 5, 2018)
    https://www.alaraby.co.uk/english/news/2018/3/5/iraq-orders-seizure-of-saddam-era-assets

“Baghdad has ordered the seizure of assets that belonged to Iraq’s former dictator Saddam Hussein and thousands of his officials, an official statement said Monday.

An Iraqi agency charged with tracking down former officials from Saddam’s Baath party – including their relatives – drew up the list and follows an earlier request by the Baghdad government.

It follows a letter sent by the Accountability and Justice Committee to the prime minister’s office along with other ministries, urging the government to seize assets of Baath-era officials.

Saddam’s name appeared at the top of the list and it also said it included “his children, grandchildren, relatives”.

Others named in the letter is Ali Hassan al-Majid, a cousin of Saddam who was better known as “Chemical Ali” for ordering the 1988 gassing of thousands of Kurds.

He was hanged in 2010, while Saddam Hussein was executed in 2006.

Veteran Foreign Minister Tariq Aziz who held the post of deputy prime minister before Saddam was ousted in the US-led 2003 invasion of Iraq, is also named in the letter.

Aziz was sentenced to death in 2013, but died two years later in prison.

His son Ziad condemned the letter saying it was nothing more than “a stunt to win votes” ahead of Iraq’s 12 May legislative election.

“We’ve been subjected to pressure and injustice for 15 years, it’s enough,” he told AFP in a telephone interview. “When will the spite of this so-called government end?”

He denied that his family had any assets, saying his father’s house in Baghdad was seized by prominent Shia politician Ammar al-Hakim.

In February, Iraqi authorities published lists of names of people wanted on suspicion of belonging to the Baath Party, the Islamic State group and al-Qaeda.

Also included was Saddam’s daughter Raghad, who lives in Jordan.”

What the attacks on Canary Mission are really about.
    March 5, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

Hamas, Hezbollah, the PFLP, FARC, the Communist Party of the Philippines and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam are all on the official list of terrorist organizations drawn up by the United States government. Providing support to them is a crime punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

So of course they all have Twitter accounts.

As does Ramadan Shalah, the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which is also on the list of designated terror groups. The PFLP has at least four Twitter accounts. (Both the PFLP and Jibril’s Assadist splinter group are listed. And both have their own Twitter accounts.) FARC also has multiple Twitter accounts. Timochenko, the FARC’s narcoterrorist boss, who was accused by the State Department of “the murder of hundreds of people who violated or interfered with the FARC’s cocaine policies”, is also on Twitter.

None of them are subtle about it. “Official Account: Hamas Movement,” the Hamas profile states. Twitter has been repeatedly informed about their existence. It chooses to let the Islamic terrorists stay.

  26. Is Mueller Fighting the Muslim Brotherhood’s War?
    March 5, 2018
    Daniel Greenfield

    It’s a curious thing.

The UAE was the first to turn on the Muslim Brotherhood. It squared off with Qatar, the terror state that is the Brotherhood’s biggest backer. Qatar owns Al Jazeera, is allied with Iran and has a great deal of influence on our foreign policy.

Obama Inc’s policy of backing Muslim Brotherhood coups in the region put it at odds with the UAE and in line with Qatar. Some of Obama’s eavesdropping of Trump allies took place under the guise of monitoring their contacts with the UAE.

    https://www.frontpagemag.com/point/269503/mueller-fighting%C2%A0-muslim-brotherhoods-war-daniel-greenfield

      • Yeah I think most of the time I am awake.

I hadn’t thought of the mess that way but yes he is fighting the Brotherhoods war for them.

        • Now both of you can see (as if you haven’t before) why I have such a difficult time with National Security Advisor McMaster. We cannot have top-level administration officials carrying water for enemies of the West.

This is a “no option” situation that’s obscenely being treated as some sort of moral Hobson’s Choice.

  27. Grave Consequences of the Deinstitutionalization Movement
    Another leftist-created failure.
    March 5, 2018
    Walter Williams

A liberal-created failure that goes entirely ignored is the left’s harmful agenda for society’s most vulnerable people — the mentally ill. Eastern State Hospital, built in 1773 in Williamsburg, Virginia, was the first public hospital in America for the care and treatment of the mentally ill. Many more followed. Much of the motivation to build more mental institutions was to provide a remedy for the maltreatment of mentally ill people in our prisons. According to professor William Gronfein at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, by 1955 there were nearly 560,000 patients housed in state mental institutions across the nation. By 1977, the population of mental institutions had dropped to about 160,000 patients.

Starting in the 1970s, advocates for closing mental hospitals argued that because of the availability of new psychotropic drugs, people with mental illness could live among the rest of the population in an unrestrained natural setting. According to a 2013 Wall Street Journal article by Dr. E. Fuller Torrey, founder of the Treatment Advocacy Center, titled “Fifty Years of Failing America’s Mentally Ill” (http://tinyurl.com/y9l8ujww), shutting down mental hospitals didn’t turn out the way advocates promised. Several studies summarized by the Treatment Advocacy Center show that untreated mentally ill are responsible for 10 percent of homicides (and a higher percentage of the mass killings). They are 20 percent of jail and prison inmates and more than 30 percent of the homeless.

    https://sputniknews.com/middleeast/201803051062251089-uae-housing-women-rights-polygamy-arabia/

“In their endeavor to decrease the number of unmarried women the Emirati authorities have decided to grant housing allowances for those men who want to have second wives, but have second thoughts because of high real estate prices.

The Minister of Infrastructure Development of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, has announced at the Federal National Council session that his establishment has decided to provide men with housing grants for second wives. Earlier it had been discussed that second spouses should be provided with an attachment to the main house where the first wife resides. This however has been cast aside as unfair and “unreasonable” according to the Minister of Infrastructure Development, cited by the local outlet Khaleej Times.

The introduced measure is expected to drive up marriages to second spouses for those men who had their doubts on the matter because of high housing costs. The lack of second marriages, according to society, results in high numbers of unmarried women and a “weakening in social structure.”

The move has found support among FNC members. As one of them, Hamad Al Rahoomi, cited by the media, said “The ministry should simplify the procedure for a man to marry a second woman, by providing him with housing opportunities, which will also solve the problem of spinsterhood.”

This arrangement will be a part of the existing Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, which gives out loans and grants for Emirati families. Such allowances have already been provisioned for first wives…”

The more I read about Frederick Douglass, the more I like him. His white master’s wife taught him to read. A literate slave was a danger to the institution of slavery, especially when a literate slave read the Bible and understood its message that the spirit and the body are free in Jesus Christ.

Douglass had begun to realize what his “master” understood” “There was power, indeed subversive, revolutionary power, in reading and interpreting the Bible for oneself, and that the institution of slavery, in fact, depended on controlling biblical literacy — who can read the Bible when and how.”

The true remedy for the Fugitive Slave Bill is a good revolver, a steady hand, and a determination to shoot down any man attempting to kidnap.

He also said, “A man’s rights rest in three boxes. The ballot box, jury box, and the cartridge box.” The late Georgia Congressman Larry McDonald, who died in the shootdown of Korean Flight 007 by the former Soviet Union in 1983, added a fourth:
