  1. Kurds Reportedly Destroy Five Turkish Tanks Amid Offensive in Syria (VIDEO) (sputniknews, Jan 21, 2018)

“A video has appeared on YouTube showing the Kurdish YPG militia launch an anti-tank guided missile at a Turkish Leopard tank as the Turkish Army advanced toward Afrin in an offensive against the Kurdish forces.

According to the ANF News agency, the tank was hit in the area of the village of Kurdo in the Bilbil district of the Syrian city of Afrin on Sunday morning.

The video has been posted on the YouTube channel of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG).

In a single day, Kurdish fighters destroyed five Turkish tanks in the Afrin area, ANF reported…”

    • GULF NEWS – Turkey to hand over Afrin to Syrian army once Kurds defeated

New operation could be the first step towards normalisation between the two rivals

London: Russia gave Turkey the greenlight to attack Kurdish-controlled enclaves in northern Syria on the condition that those areas be handed over to the Syrian army once the Kurds were defeated, a source in Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Gulf News on the condition of anonymity.??

During the meeting that took place two days before the operation began, Russia agreed to evacuate its military personnel from the Menagh airbase, which was assaulted by Turkish fighter jets on Saturday.??

The revelation has sparked speculation that the operation’s peculiar name —Operation Olive Branch — is in fact meant for the Syrian government.??

Turkey, under the leadership of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has supported rebel forces against Syrian President Bashar Al Assad’s government since the war broke out in 2011.??

The new operation could be the first step towards normalisation between the two rivals.??

Relations between Syria and Turkey collapsed in the infant stages of the ongoing crisis. Syria shot down a Turkish F-4 Phantom jet after it violated Syrian airspace, killing both pilots.??

With President Al Assad’s position looking increasingly secure, Erdogan may be coming to terms with this reality, and could potentially be looking to restore ties with Syria, to not only counter their mutual enemy – Kurdish separatists – but to also bolster bilateral post-war trade, and facilitate the return of refugees in Turkey back to Syria.??

Even if Erdogan isn’t looking to normalise diplomatic relations with Damascus, it still makes sense for him to return Afrin to the Syrian Army as a show of goodwill towards Russia, which is playing an increasingly large role in mediating between Ankara and the Syrian government, via the Sochi process.??

Turkey and Russia, who were also supporting opposite sides of the conflict, restored relations in 2016 and have since maintain close communication and coordination.

Turkey is targeting the US-backed fighters at a time when ties with ally Washington appear close to breaking point.

Turkey sees the YPG as an extension of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) which has carried out a deadly, three-decade insurgency in Turkey’s mainly Kurdish southeast.

The United States is backing the YPG in Syria, seeing it as an effective partner in the fight against Daesh.

Ahead the the assault, the Syrian government warned Turkey against launching the military operation and said Syrian air defenses stood ready to defend against such an attack.

However, now it seems the statement by deputy foreign minister Faisal Mekdad was empty rhetoric.

Both Turkey and the Syrian government are against the emergence of an autonomous Kurdish region.

A Kurdish referendum in favour of independence in September in Iraq was dealt a sharp blow by Iraqi forces who quickly defeated Kurdish fighters.

Their indepedence declaration was later rescinded after massive pressure by neighbouring countries—Turkey, Iraq and Iran.

The US—the Kurds closest ally—warned Kurds against such a move and did not come to their defense.??

    • Jordan’s king tells Pence U.S. must rebuild trust after Jerusalem decision

AMMAN (Reuters) – Jordan’s King Abdullah told U.S. Vice President Mike Pence on Sunday he looked to Washington to rebuild “trust and confidence” in moving toward a two-state solution in Israel after President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the country’s capital.

With Pence sitting across from him in the royal palace, King Abdullah said Jordan viewed the Israel-Palestinian conflict as a “potential major source of instability”.

He said he had raised his concerns for some time that such a decision on Jerusalem “does not come as a result of a comprehensive settlement to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict”. He also reiterated that East Jerusalem should be the capital of a future Palestinian state.

“We hope that the U.S. will reach out and find the right way to move forward in these challenging circumstances,” the king said.

At the end of the visit, Pence in remarks to the press said he “agreed to disagree” with King Abdullah on the impact of Trump’s move.

Pence said in Egypt on Saturday and again in Jordan that the United States would support a two-state solution for Israelis and Palestinians if they both agreed to it.

Trump’s endorsement in December of Israel’s claim to Jerusalem as its capital drew universal condemnation from Arab leaders and criticism around the world. It also broke with decades of U.S. policy that the city’s status must be decided in negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians.

Jordan lost East Jerusalem and the West Bank to Israel during the Arab-Israeli war in 1967.

Pence told the king that Washington was committed to preserving the status quo of holy sites in Jerusalem.

King Abdullah’s Hashemite dynasty is the custodian of the Muslim holy sites in the city, making Amman particularly sensitive to any changes of status there.

“For us, Jerusalem is key to Muslims and Christians, as it is to Jews. It is key to peace in the region and key to enabling Muslims to effectively fight some of our root causes of radicalization,” he said.

Jordanian officials fear Trump’s move has wrecked chances of a resumption of Arab-Israeli peace talks, which King Abdullah had sought to revive.

They also worry the move could trigger violence in the Palestinian territories which could spill over into Jordan, where many people are descendants of Palestinian refugees whose families left after Israel was created in 1948.

“We take no position on boundaries and final status. Those are subject to negotiation,” Pence said.

After the meeting, Pence flew to a military facility near the Syrian border to meet with U.S. troops. He will finish his three-nation Middle East trip in Israel.

    • See video time point 00:26 – “Senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute” (in reference to Amb. John Bolton). From the link:

David H. Koch is on the American Enterprise Institute’s National Council, whose members “serve as ambassadors for AEI, providing AEI with advice, insight, and guidance as [it] looks to reach out to new friends across the country.”

Between 2002 and 2013, the American Enterprise Institute received a total of $867,289 in funding from the Charles G. Koch Foundation.

While not a staggering amount of money, the Koch Brothers remain some truly evil scum that are undermining a wide range of Conservative groups—for instance, the Tea Party—as they implement (sub rosa) their own personal, wealth-accumulating goals.

Although written with a heavily Liberal bias, please consider (holding your nose and) reading Jane Mayer’s book, “Dark Money”. It’s worth taking the time to examine her thoroughly researched account of how David and Charles Koch have contaminated much of Republican Party politics (no difficult task there) and even some respected Conservative institutions (a major crime!).

Be that as it may, Bolton’s suggestion to realign West Bank boundaries (with respect to Jordan’s borders) is well worth considering, if only for a single reason. Namely, it puts on the table yet one more potential way of resolving the (intentionally protracted) “Arab – Israeli Conflict”—even as it gives the “Palestinians” another perfect, “opportunity to miss an opportunity”. This is something that they never avoid and a media device which these scumbags are famous notorious for, even while they milk it like the last cow on the farm.

No better recent example of this can be expected than how Mahmoud (abu Mazen) Abbas has declined to meet with Vice President Pence. Using the entire Jerusalem Embassy debacle as a smoke screen, there is no artifice that this Holocaust-denying piece of ambulatory, bipedal filth will not stoop to if it prolongs the ability for “Palestinians” to parade their self-inflicted sores in front of global mass media. From the link:

This anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial comes from the top. Although it is either unknown or denied in the West, PA President Mahmoud Abbas is profoundly fascinated by Nazi propaganda and has employed it in his own writings, particularly in his doctoral dissertation on the subject of the Holocaust, “The Other Face: The Secret Connections Between Nazism and the Leadership of the Zionist Movement,” which he wrote in Moscow in 1982. Two years later, Abbas published a book based on his dissertation. It is written in Arabic and, tellingly, has never been translated into any other language.

I continue to assert that, in no way, should Israel be obliged to relinquish even a microscopic speck of land as part of achieving the (totally impossible-to-attain) “Two-State Solution”—one of modern history’s most hideous diplomatic farces.

Far better is to have IDF battalions flush (in every sense of the word) West Bank and Gazan populations into the loving embrace of their adjoining Islamic utopias (Jordan and Egypt, respectively). After all, implementing the existing Two-State Solution is nothing short of national suicide and everybody knows it—save for the lunatic hyper-Liberal (i.e., pro-“Palestinian”) Jews in America, Europe, and Israel.

So, I say to Ambassador Bolton: “Go ahead and give the ‘Palestinians’ another golden opportunity to prove how they have ZERO commitment towards ever engaging in honest negotiations that are intended to resolve some of this world’s most incurable and festering hostilities.”

Israel and the West have absolutely nothing to lose and the “Palestinians” will only continue to erode—with yet another flurry of boringly predictable political tantrums—their own (already tattered) credibility. This is a “zero risk” proposition that only can help to further rip away the mask from this perpetually falsehearted pretense of “Palestinians” maintaining an ostensibly conciliatory position.

After all, the “Palestinians” merely are brain-dead pawns of their more powerful Arab neighbors who continue to insist upon (unattainable) resolution of this totally intractable, low-intensity war Antisemitic genocide before ever consenting to Western demands that they reform their own barbarically corrupt “governments”. Only a fool would think there is an alternate outcome to that “Antisemitic genocide”—save one that see Islam’s capacity for jihad permanently maimed and crippled.

That this imbecilic charade has lasted for so many decades is testimony to how so much of Liberal politics meets Einstein’s reputed description of insanity:

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”

With that in mind, I far prefer his well-documented maxim about problem-solving:

We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.

This really needs to be tattooed across the forehead of every (non-Classical) Liberal that continues thieving from the global oxygen supply.

Finally, Trump’s decision to slash UNRWA funding is a first, long-awaited, and brilliant step towards placing pressure upon throttling the windpipe of international terrorism, Arab anti-Americanism, Antisemitism, and a host of other “ism’s” (e.g., Cultural Marxism) that all should have been strangled in the cradle SEVERAL DECADES AGO.

We now return you to your regular expository tirades.

  2. the daily caller – FBI ‘Failed To Preserve’ Five Months Of Text Messages Between Anti-Trump FBI Agents

The FBI “failed to preserve” five months worth of text messages exchanged between Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, the two FBI employees who made pro-Clinton and anti-Trump comments while working on the Clinton email and the Russia collusion investigations.

The disclosure was made Friday in a letter sent by the Justice Department to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee (HSGAC).

“The Department wants to bring to your attention that the FBI’s technical system for retaining text messages sent and received on FBI mobile devices failed to preserve text messages for Mr. Strzok and Ms. Page,” Stephen Boyd, the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs at the Justice Department, wrote to Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of HSGAC.

He said that texts are missing for the period between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017.

Boyd attributed the failure to “misconfiguration issues related to rollouts, provisioning, and software upgrades that conflicted with the FBI’s collection capabilities.”

“The result was that data that should have been automatically collected and retained for long-term storage and retrieval was not collected,” Boyd wrote.

Strzok and Page were significant players in the Clinton and Trump investigations. As deputy chief of counterintelligence, Strzok oversaw the Trump investigation when it was opened in July 2016. Weeks earlier, he had wrapped up his work as one of the top investigators on the Clinton email probe.

Both worked on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation until July 2017.

But Strzok was removed after the Justice Department’s inspector general discovered text messages he exchanged with Page, with whom he was having an affair, in which both expressed strong criticism of Trump.

In one text, Strzok called Trump and “idiot.” In another, he said “F Trump.”

In another more cryptic exchange, Strzok spoke of an “insurance policy” that the FBI sought to take out in case Trump defeated Clinton in the election.

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” Strzok wrote to Page on Aug. 15, 2016.

“Andy” was a reference to FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok added. Republicans have questioned what Strzok meant by “insurance policy.”

Page left the Mueller team prior to the discovery of the texts.

Johnson expressed concern over the missing text messages, which were sent during a key period of the Russia investigation. During that time frame is when the Steele dossier was published by BuzzFeed News, when Strzok participated in a Jan. 24 interview with then-national security adviser Michael Flynn, and when James Comey was fired as FBI director.

The end date of the missing Strzok-Page texts is also significant. That’s because May 17 is the day when Mueller was appointed to take over the FBI’s probe of possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russian government.

“The loss of records from this period is concerning,” Johnson wrote in a letter sent Saturday to FBI Director Christopher Wray.

Along with its disclosure of the missing text messages, DOJ’s Boyd handed over 384 additional text messages exchanged between Strzok and Page.

  3. Österreich weist 3000 Migranten wegen Falschangaben ab

    + video

Court orders government to do so for all driver’s licenses issued

Well then, STOP issuing these farking illegal aliens any damned driver’s licenses! Election-related problems about voter qualifications solved!

If there’s one single symptom of Multiculturalism’s perverse intrusion on sane society, it’s in the way that many American states administer their written driver’s license tests in over a dozen different languages.

Last I checked, ALL THE USA STREET SIGNS ARE IN ENGLISH. Please pardon me for this dazzling peek at the plainly apparent Well DUH! Moment but, it seems to me that qualifying people to get behind the wheel of half ton self-propelled vehicles might benefit from ensuring that they are certifiably capable of reading the street signs provided to assist in their safe operation.

So much for our governments’ commitment to widespread public safety, eh?

Then again, maybe that’s just irrational little me. Carry on…

      • Just for the record, here’s a list from the official State of California Department of Motor Vehicles website:
Besides English, the basic Class C knowledge driver license tests are also available in the following languages:

Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, Cambodian, Chinese, Croatian, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Persian/Farsi, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Samoan, Spanish, Tagalog/Filipino, Thai, Tongan, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

Besides English, the basic Class C audio driver license tests are also available in the following languages:

Armenian, Cantonese, Cambodian, Hindi, Hmong, Japanese, Korean, Laotian, Mandarin, Portuguese, Punjabi, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese.

Now, let’s all take a really deep breath and consider this:

If the written tests are administered in this insane number of foreign printings all of these varied languages, it follows that:

A). There are online or audio-format copies of these same documents that have been published or recorded and, otherwise, distributed at state taxpayer (i.e., largely Caucasian peoples’) expense.

B). California has (also largely at Caucasian peoples’ expense) hired civil servants at all statewide DMV offices that are able to provide relatively immediate translation services for any and all of these numerous languages.

C). Taxpayer money (again, largely from Caucasian people) has been squandered expended for training and certification of state civil servants—hopefully the same ones who translate all of these various languages at those numerous DMV offices—in order that they may safely conduct road tests for these (however many) linguistically challenged license applicants.

NOTE: In a momentary but deeply cynical moment of further reflection, it occurred to me that hiring quotas guidelines could make it imperative that handicapped individuals who speak these various languages might find positions regardless of their ability to provide dual-function job capacity like actually administering the road tests as well.

Just the mere possibility of this tells me that it is happening at all too many regional offices within California. Now, multiply this by all of the other 50 states, don’t forget Puerto Rico, Guam, and all of the other American possessions.

Can you see where this is leading?

If it can be proven that the budget for administering this sequined Multicultural pageant of polyglot motor vehicle testing (at the state and federal level) is less than a billion dollars per year, I might experience a cardiac infarction.

This is the fruit from the poisoned tree of governmentally institutionalized Multiculturalism. Continued cultivation of such this non-native (philosophically) invasive species keeps on draining the very lifeblood of America’s almost unique and unparalleled wealth creation … unlike any other nation on earth … throughout all of human history.

  5. Just When You Think You’ve Heard It All, There’s Now A “Drag Queen” Kids Club

The LGBT crowd won’t stop until America adopts their warped agenda.

And the worst part is, they are targeting young children, hoping to “get them young” to buy into their perverted world views.

And sadly, it’s working, as more and more children are buying into their agenda, as liberal parents encourage them. But what this 10-year-old just did will shock you.

Liberals have bombarded the media with the motto “anything goes” and accusing conservatives of violating their “safe space.”

Yet at the same time, LGBT activists force teachers to teach “transgenderism” to kindergarteners, and children.

    And it’s working.

  6. GREECE – Fascists Burned Down Libertatia Squat in Thessaloniki

After a group of fascists had split off from a mass rally of nationalists and fascists, they attacked the squatted Libertatia social center in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Greece: Antifa-occupied building torched amid Thessaloniki protests

A building occupied by left-wing activists in Thessaloniki was set on fire Sunday, amid clashes during a protest against the use of the name ‘Macedonia.’

According to local media, witnesses talked about far-right wing nationalists and hooded men who were marching and shouting slogans about Macedonia and threw a Molotov cocktail inside the “Libertatia” building.

According to the Press Office of the Fire Brigade, there were no injured and no damage to the nearby houses. 28 vehicles and 25 firefighters were present on the scene.

The fire happened as thousands of people were rallying in Thessaloniki to denounce the use of the name ‘Macedonia’ in a lengthy dispute between Athens and Skopje over the official name of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

Attempts by Macedonia to join NATO and the European Union have been halted by Greece since 1993, when Greece accepted as formal appellation the name ‘FYROM’ (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia).

The name ‘Macedonia’ bares dangers for the Greek side since it implies a territorial claim over the Greek northern region Macedonia.

Hundreds of children are being investigated for swapping naked selfies
Almost 200 under the age of 12 were branded ‘suspects’ in the past three years
Police are questioning whether all of them should remain on their databases

[…]Almost 200 children under 12 have been branded ‘suspects’ by police in the past three years,

[…]Taking, sending or possessing naked pictures of a child is a criminal offence, even if the child took the photo.

[…]The name of every child caught swapping naked selfies is placed on a police database alongside the ‘crime’ they are alleged to have committed – potentially ruining their chances of employment as adults when they apply for certain jobs involving children.

[…]Thames Valley Police investigated 642 children between 2014 and 2017, and Norfolk quizzed 575 youngsters. Some 432 were interrogated by West Mercia Police and 345 were investigated by Humberside.

[…]On one occasion a five-year-old was branded an ‘offender’ by Hertfordshire Police for taking an indecent image of another child. In Northamptonshire, a seven-year-old girl was investigated after she used an iPad to film herself naked before putting the video on YouTube.

Neither could be prosecuted because they were under ten, the age of criminal responsibility.

[…]At least 31 children under ten have been questioned over nude pictures in the past three years. Two were aged only five. Over the same period, police investigated 38 children aged ten.

[…]Police also looked into allegations against 678 children of 13. On one occasion, a 13-year-old girl sent a boy a topless selfie to his Xbox console. Others used Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Skype to swap nude images.

The true figures are expected to be far higher because around half the 43 police forces in the UK declined to provide data.

[…]But last month a 13-year-old boy’s mother claimed she was threatened with arrest after refusing to let him accept a caution for forwarding an unsolicited naked selfie a girl had sent to him. The woman spent seven months battling Leicestershire Police after officers raided her home and arrested her son.
