DUBAI (Reuters) – A Saudi-led military coalition will temporarily close all air, land and sea ports to Yemen to stem the flow of arms to Houthi rebels from Iran, it said in a statement on Monday carried by the state news agency SPA.

 

The move, which follows the interception of a missile fired toward Riyadh on Saturday, is likely to further worsen Yemen’s humanitarian crisis, which has pushed some seven million to the brink of famine and left more than half a million infected with cholera, according to the United Nations.

“The Coalition Forces Command decided to temporarily close all Yemeni air, sea and land ports,” the statement on SPA said, adding that aid workers and humanitarian supplies would continue to be able to access and exit Yemen.

(Anyone think the Turks will send a boat to ‘break the siege’ on Yemen? Will American leftists all rush to bring supplies to the Houthi genocidal maniacs? Giant demonstrations against the Saudis everywhere blaming them for this ‘blockade’? No?)

Six girls, aged 14 and 15, were groomed by two men who were jailed in 2016 for sex offences in Yeovil.

A report found there were 14 missed opportunities, and criticised social services for not investigating concerns when the girls repeatedly got pregnant. […]

It also revealed one girl was visited by one of the men while she was an inpatient at a mental health hospital in Somerset, and got pregnant again.

The report said lessons must be learned after one of the girls was wrongly taken to court for alleged racial abuse against her abuser, while her abuser was not investigated until years later.

After a period of relative calm, violence has resumed in eastern DRC. Various attacks by armed groups, including the radical Islamic group Muslim Defense International (MDI), formerly known as the Allied Democratic Forces, have claimed dozens lives among civilians in September and October.

 

In one recent attack on 26 October, suspected MDI militants stormed the Masiani neighbourhood of Beni. Local sources say the militants were hiding in the neighbourhood, waiting for nightfall to attack the local population, but that a soldier discovered them and immediately alerted security forces. The rebels then immediately burst into action and attacked the city. Clashes with the military led to at least six deaths (one soldier, five civilians).

  1. Is it just me, or does the magnitude of the events taking place seem to have gotten larger, and the injustices perpetrated on us all using Postmodern thought/Cultural Marxism in the past week or so, seem to be more unjust and more insane?

    No it isn’t just you, I was talking to a friend this morning and after I finished telling him about the new posts he said he had to go take a shower and change his shorts. Events are speeding up and becoming worse, the time until WWIII goes kinetic is shortening. I wish the Western Nations could have more powerful military establishment as we enter the war but if we had the powerful military establishments and politicians with the Balls to use them we wouldn’t be going into a war.
