The terror threat in the United Kingdom is at unprecedented levels, according to British and European experts charged with leading the fight against jihadis in Europe.

There are as many as 35,000 “radicals” in the UK, according to European counter-terrorism coordinator Gilles de Kerchove.

“Of these, 3,000 are worrying for MI5, and of those, 500 are under constant and special attention,” he said.

De Kerchove put the number of extremists in Europe in excess of 50,000.

“We must select those who are really worrying and the most dangerous, and they should be monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” he told El Mundo, a leading Spanish newspaper.

4. Philippine forces retake Church in Marawi:

The church was desecrated and set on fire at the start of the conflict. A provisional cathedral has been consecrated in Baloi. The last Islamist holdout is on the shores of Lake Lanao. Soldiers take back the Grand Mosque. So far 800 people have died, including 133 soldiers and policemen, 617 terrorists and 45 civilians. About 50 people are still held hostage. The government promises proper reconstruction. Residents are still caught between hopes and fears for the future.

5. California to debate classifying ANTIFA as a street gang:

(This is of course a giant mistake. It is identical to classifying Islamic jihad as a law and order problem. ANTIFA, like Islam, is waging war on civilization. They are choosing tactics that do not elicit a military response, so that they can win.)

7. Seoul steps up military response to North Korea’s nuclear test

Seoul, South Korea (CNN)South Korea strengthened the deployment of a controversial US-made missile defense system and launched a huge show of military might on Monday in response to North Korea’s test of what it claimed to be a hydrogen bomb.

Seoul said the North appeared to be preparing to launch more missiles after Sunday’s test rocked the region. South Korea conducted a series of live-fire drills and said the US was preparing to bolster its military presence.
Russia warned that it would consider ramping up its military assets in response, and China warned that the deployment of the missile defense system,THAAD, risked escalating the already tense situation.

The deepening crisis has caused frayed relations on both sides. North Korea’s continued belligerence was a blow to China, which has failed to keep its ally in check despite persistent warnings. China said Monday it had made a “stern representation” to North Korea over the test.
(It is time we defined “controversial” and used it that way. At the moment, it means anything a leftist or a muslim doesn’t like.)

Thank you M., ML., Xanthippa, Wrath of Khan, Richard, NorseRadish and all who sent in materials. There is a lot more to come. It has been a busy day, but some things take a lot longer to make than others.

Here is a better than average collage video of Prime Minister Trudeau’s more typical thinking. While there is some editing here and there to make it entertaining, the overall impression it creates seems pretty close to the general truth of the man.

Please check back late tonight for an interview we did with Michael Mannheimer, a brilliant and significant German dissident against the Communist-Islamic-Catholic alliance in that country.

It is an hour long, but I think many will choose to watch through to the end.

  1. The church was desecrated and set on fire at the start of the conflict.

All this vandalizing of churches might slow down a bit if for every desecrated church, ten mosques were bulldozed.

  2. China warned that the deployment of the missile defense system,THAAD, risked escalating the already tense situation.

Red China needs to sit down and STFU. Almost exclusively, they have exacerbated this issue to the crisis-level it is now at. Did Beijing really think that all of this would just slide past under radar?

    • The same thing applies to Putin and his telling us to stop ensuring that South Korea can remain free.
