Geopolitics, Israel, and Muslim outrage: Links 1 for July 21, 2017

1, The NRA looks to be a worthy organization to join. Your membership dues clearly go to doing good work.

2. New Hawaii campaign to help residents plan for North Korea attack

(Not at all an unreasonable approach really. Its surprisingly rational for a contemporary government. Click over and watch the video)

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) –

The Hawaii Emergency Management Agency is kicking off an educational campaign aimed at helping residents and visitors figure out what to do if the state is the target of a nuclear missile attack from North Korea.

The agency said the threat to the islands from the rogue nation is “currently assessed to be low.”

But officials added ongoing North Korean missile tests —and growing public concern — have prompted officials to work on preparedness and disaster management plans.

Vern Miyagi, administrator of the emergency management agency, stressed that the public shouldn’t be alarmed by the planning.

3. Here comes the winner of the “Creepiest Orwell innovation” award, of course going to Canada since no one would notice it in Sweden or Germany. Zero Hedge writes it up here.

There is no way that government is not collecting information for a data base which will be political. If they are not now, they will be. If its not this app specifically, then this is highly indicative of the belief that this would be a good thing. One of them mentioned movies. Will this app suggest what is a good or bad movie from a government PoV?

4. This is the THIRD German video about the rise of antisemitism in Germany due to Islamic and leftist influence that I am aware of. This one deals with public schools.

5. In what is called a hot mic moment, Israeli PM delivers some obvious but illegal truths about the EU in his meeting with the V4. I would hope that he knew the mic was hot and therefore did a public service. But lets go with the official story for now.

PM says Europe will ‘shrivel and disappear’ if it doesn’t change course […]

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized the European Union in unusually harsh terms on Wednesday for its treatment of Israel, […]

During the meeting, Netanyahu also urged the leaders of Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Poland to close their borders to refugees from Africa and the Arab world, and praised the administration of US President Donald Trump for its “stronger” position on Iran and Syria. […]

We’re often criticized by Western Europe, often more than any other place in the world,” he continued. The Jewish state is the one democracy in the Middle East, a “beacon of tolerance” and a “bastion of European and Western values in the heart of a very, very dark area,” he said. […]

6. Three Palestinians killed in continued protests and riots against Israeli security measures.

Thank you Xanthippa, M., Wrath of Khan, Richard, and a large number of dedicated freedom lovers who sent in links and news and comments exposing and discussing the facts and truths of the current war, which so far we are losing badly.

There is a lot more of important, indicative, conclusive and added data points to what we already know in the Reader’s Links comments. Please dig deep.

  1. 3 – When the carrot fails will they try the stick? This program is incredible creepy and has so much potential for being misused that we have to believe the original intent is to force people into the leftist approved behavior.

    • …the original intent is to force people into the leftist approved behavior.

“Pavlov”. Does that name ring a bell?

  2. 1 – The NRA was started to teach marksmanship fo the citizen soldier would be more effective, in the 20th Century they evolved into an organization that fights for civil rights, their ads show they are supporting more then just the Second Amendment and are not afraid to speak truth to power. The latter point is what bothers the left and their storm trooper groups, they are running up against people who aren’t afraid of them.

2 – The entire US use to be taught what to do in case of nuclear or conventional attacks, it was the ivory tower pseudo intellectuals who came up with the idea of mutually assured destruction. Since that obviously won’t work against Kim (it didn’t work against the Soviets either, they kept teaching their people how to survive and kept building radiation shelters until the collapsed) the state (run by leftists) are returning to the idea of civil defense.

  3. 3- When Obama care was first introduced my husband was called a few times and asked to join a program similar to this. The reward was a reduction in his ins. premium. He would have had to “improve” his exercise routine and diet under the tutelage of someone via phone and face to face interviews. He told them he ate an excellent diet (thank you darlin) and that he worked out in the company gym 4 mornings/week. He told them that their program was intrusive and refused to enroll.

  4. 2. New Hawaii campaign to help residents plan for North Korea attack

What about encouraging all Hawaiians to simply stop purchasing Chinese goods until Beijing’s economic and technological support for North Korea dies on the vine?

I realize that this is far too much for anyone to ask, but what else—aside from violent military confrontation involving millions of civilian fatalities—will have the slightest positive impact on this well-established threat to global stability?
