I have seen this stunt pulled several times, and in theory its a great idea. Politicians most certainly should suffer the consequences of the decisions they make which impact their voters, but rarely ever themselves.
But the mistake is, that these activists, coming from a background rooted in classical civilization, tend to pick a recording of the call to prayer where the caller actually sings pleasantly and melodically. In fact that is not representative at all. Typically the sound of call to prayer is loud, but it is also distorted, and very non-melodic. This call to prayer would fool the neighbours into thinking its not that bad. But it is. Form and content.
